Loving this game so much. We love Virtual Families and have found that even though this game is still in its "soft launch" phase, that it's a fairly smooth gameplay experience and there are a lot of neat features such as being able to be a part of a community with other players. We like the collaborative effort of improving a community.
We love the game but we have a small issue. Our child status bar says hes hungry. The parents are able to eat the food on the table but the child isnt. We drag him to the dinner table but all he says is Dont want to use this right now. We keep dragging him to the table to eat but it keeps saying the same thing. We were thinking maybe the game doesnt allow kids to eat at the dinner table but that made no sense. We even thought we were doing something wrong. Is there any way to explain this.
This game is terrible they die fast and you can barely make money you cant even name them and they sound annoying.
Will there be an update to the game? It says there is no more improvements in the community and we are maxed out on the house and cant move again.
There are some continuity issues where edits dont save. We are also running into an issue where Id like to use our iPad to redecorate but since Ive created our account, progressed, and bought currency from our phone, its not letting us transfer over to iPad. Maybe theres a fix for that.
We love this game and how much you can personalize and grow. However, we wish you could choose where the doors go for the rooms. We understand each room and or hallways has a limit on the amount of doors, we just wish you could pick where they go because it really messes everything up for us.
Im a long time lover of VF, VV and other A New Day games. But this game is disappointing. It seems greedy, money hungry and rather limited. The characters actions arent as personable with each other, theres not as many choices for furniture, everything costs so much money. Our current family, both adults have the Definitely trait for children, but they didnt have their first child until over 70. We tried to adopt and it says we dont make enough money. We cant have our people work, like how you would drag your people to their work station in VF3. So its seeming to slow down career progress. And there seems to be only 5 or so careers they can do. And theres no option to change their career or buy things to improve it. So youre just stuck for multiple generations trying to save the money to get better things. Rather disappointing. Hopefully some changes are coming.
We loved the original game, but this one feels a bit soulless. It has a feature we always wanted, the customizable outfits, but thats the only improvement we really see. We get an emergency every freaking day if we clear the old one and its annoying. You have to pay 2000 coins to clear it and if you dont you cant build or upgrade the house! Its especially annoying when youre trying to save coins to make the house look better. And now we want to uninstall the game because the family Ive been playing since the start has just had its last heir die after not being able to have kids! The game makes it way low of a chance to have kids!! She was 26 or smth and her spouse was 24 and they failed to have a kid?! Then in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s! In the start Id have 4 to max kids but all our newer gens have 1-3 kids!! Now that our last heir has died we just dont want to play anymore unless theres a way for her to be revived but we dont see that being added without a paywall and Im to broke for that. Oh yea, a lot of cool new items are locked behind paywalls, itd be nice if there was side quests to try and get them like have your guys cook x times, earn x money, ect pr be able to buy it.
Why cant they go in and the pool like before? We m at max and did not build anything in the community. There is nothing else to do its getting boring.
When the characters get done dusting or sweeping, the sound keeps continuing and dont stop.
We have loved these games since we were little, but this one way kinda let down. There is no secrets to solve and its not hard move to the next level (there is only three upgrades and you are done). Just feels like it is missing a lot of opportunities to make it a really fun game. You place family members in the community to upgrade stuff and thats it. The parks area could have a lot of really cool quested to do but doesnt. Hopefully it gets better and not be another forgotten virtual town.
The building in the game was very frustrating. Doors were popping up where we didnt want them and this would disrupt the placement of some of the decorations as well. We understand not making the rooms adjustable but we would have appreciated if we were able to add windows and doors ourselves. Other than that there didnt seem to be much we could do in the community and interactions with the neighbors was disappointing.
Lags like every minute on both WiFi and data fun but we deleted our house on accident because it froze in the middle of a task and we hit he button too many times.
We cant we find the food and medicine ive gone through two generations because we dont have any way to get food.
So the game was fun to start but we have maxed out the progress on our house and there seems to be nothing else to do. Am we missing something? We havent been playing that long.
We have had several issues in which we wrote and asked for help. No one responded. Also, we have had to pay for several of the same repairs on more than one occasion. We feel like your company should do better in communication with consumers. Also, we had lost our upgrades and original turn because no one got back to us in a timely manner. Thank you in advance.
Excited to play, however we open the app upon downloading and the screen is black. Ive tried everything. Deleting, redownloading, please fix this bug. Virtual families forever.
Seems like a scam to release an incomplete game with as many bugs and flaws as this one and then charge the insane prices you do for in game currency. Developer response to emails is that the game is still in a very early beta but it is certainly not advertised as such anywhere and if that is the case than it makes the prices of your currency even more outrageous. The family tree is a broken tool for us, it doesnt work at all and adds in other random people in our neighborhood and takes out our own family. You cant name them and it is a very slow grind to build up money without purchasing. Which we dont mind putting in some effort for a little game but it should at least function as it is meant to.
What with the outage? Every other day that wont let you advanced. We put 5 stars so everyone can read it. 4 times we have downloaded the game . Today deleting it forever.
When Will yall role out to amazon and facebook.
Ive been playing virtual villagers and families since they came out. Its been a lot of years since Ive been aware of a new version of the families. The graphics are just not much better than the very first one. Its vague on how they get promoted and annoying to try to get money going. There are no puzzles. You cant get them full or rested. Not sure if thats a glitch or something we dont know about. And of course lots of options to spend money. We just dont find it fun.
Nah theres just reparations or wtv over 1000 which they dont make more than 100 a day so ur in debt all the time cant enjoy anything, the older games are way better.
Love this game and we didnt know we could expand on it by adding a community. Our only critique is that we wish the characters showed more of their action like in the previous versions. We also miss how the kids would all play train when made to interact. Very happy with the game, it allows us to chose to pay a lot of attention or focus on the house. We wish there were more house events like in the first version. 10/10 overall game.
Right now Im currently on our third download of the game. The first time we played it everything was going fine until an outage happened. We couldnt fix it for the life of us. We watched tutorial after tutorial but nothing worked so we deleted it. We re-downloaded it later that night we couldnt progress from the apartment to the house so now Im on our third download and everything is going fine so far the virtual families community is a wonderful game. And we would recommend it to anyone.
We love this game but for months now we are at the max level and can no longer move to the next community we no longer enjoying the game.
There is a Room issue. The error message reads : cant add new room until others are placed Please address this problem as it is affecting our ability to enjoy the game. Thank you in advance.
We really enjoy the game but we just hit a glitch where it says our microwave is on a fritz and it doesnt let us fix it at all. No prompt to pay or fix it ourselves. Ive been stuck now for 2 days cant upgrade our home or open our inventory. So basically we cant progress. We sent a support ticket and the response was watch for updates.
We love this game but the longer we play it, the more we start to get water leaks in the shower and now the sink which is very annoying bc we can never gain enough money to do anything because it literally happens every day now and its so annoying and unfortunate. We might have to delete it since we can never get enough money to do anything now.
For some reason this game doesnt work with our Apple Pencil. All your previous ones do. Can we add support for that please.
We have been playing the last day at work simulator games for 10 years now and we love them as a way of relaxing and playing with our imagination so we wanted to support the company and spend a fair amount of money. Most recently we've spent over $100 on coins, but our coin count does not increase. We can't figure out what is wrong. We've emailed customer support and will update this if they can help us.
Overall the game is pretty fun, but with more changes we think users would find more enjoyment. 1. We really wish we could have more than 8 kids per couple. With that it can also be really difficult for your family to have kids. Meaning it takes multiple cycles before theyre successful, and theres a wait. 2. After a certain point you max out on what level house you can have. When starting a new generation it would be fun to be able to cycle through what house you wanted them to have. Maybe you want them to start in the apartment versus the final big house. 3. The play structures are able to be in our yard for the community, but they cant be with your house. It would be nice if we could place it in all of our outdoor space. 4. It would also be really nice to have more furniture options. It looks like there could be more coming but Ive yet to see any. 5. It would also be nice if not everything cool cost 10k plus in coins. When it can take generations to earn that many coins, furniture shouldnt cost that much. 6. We like the aspect of having outages in your home, because that can definitely happen in real life. However we dont like that even though it says we have a 70% chance of fixing it that never happens. If these things get taken into consideration, and changes are made we would be more than happy to change our rating.
We are unable to fix microwave outage. Its not showing any option to fix.
Im a big lover of virtual families and thought that recent updates would make it more fun to play and give you new functions. Theres like no agency in this game. You can make ur family pick up and do things but you cant make them go to work or work on a hobby, you cant even pick out which groceries they get, and they die so fast its annoying. Ive gone through four generations just trying to get used to this game but its honestly just not worth it. We liked the hacks you could do before to gain more money and make your family work harder but it seems like they fixed that hack.
We love this game but we have had an outtage for 4 days its very fun n better than the other virtual family games.
Lately our progress bar is glitching! Rn its basically disabled along with our demo button is slashed out, Ive also had our people try to fix a sink numerous times but even when it visibly stops leaking , as in it seems fixed when you out your family member over the same sink it still gives you the same options, as in to fix it again.. Anyway something ID like to see in the game is fixing the family tree, so that maybe soon we can submit some form of communication between community members. Maybe even marrying the children to other families children so that BOTH sides of the family tree can be full. Thank you! Loved youre games for years now.
The rate they earn money is terrible slow . We wish we could interact more with the neighbors or maybe the things they have in their homes. Also the community task ever hardly pop up for us.

Im enjoying the game, however one bug in particular has been bothering us. Our family tree wont update the little portraits for our peeps, a majority of them stay as babies or toddlers. We wish we could see them all.
Ive been playing this game for maybe a month now and we do enjoy the idea. We like how it does feel like a newer version of the virtual families games we used to play, but there are lots of bugs currently in the game that make this game frustrating. Ive also had an EXTREMELY big problem with how much it costs to higher a plumber. 2400 coins is crazy considering how long it takes us to make money in this. If we ever want to repair it takes us a long amount of time which makes it feel like they want you to pay money for coins. Another issue with this is that the repairs you need to do in your house happen every other day. Ive had a water leak maybe 4 times a week which is just insane to be expecting people to pay that much every time in order to get it fixed.
We have been playing the VF franchise for years. VF communities is one of the better versions. However, with the most recent update there are even more problems that are making the game functionally frustrating to play. The ad for the rumba never goes away and keeps popping up. We have two generations of families in our house where one we cannot interact with and they will not leave!! Not to mention to level up to a new community it takes a lot longer. It feels like no matter what we buy to upgrade our house the meter barely moves up. We have since stopped playing. We thought the update would improve a lot but instead we just have more bugs to be fixed :/.
Started playing the first Virtual Families as a kid and we feel the newest installment adds a lot of fun new features and variability of the peeps, but is devoid of the same charm the previous installments had, and the community features dont add as much interaction as youd expect for the new neighborhood setting. The old games outdated feel was a good thing imo, we understand a modern take was due but it feels less quirky the colors are blown out like a kids drawing. Im a fan of the customization and clarity of the assets but miss the photorealism of the old ones; we wish we could at least adjust the tone with a color grading option in settings, or even an accessibility feature like a set color blindness scale (deuteranopia etc). We also wish peeps hairstyles could be changed like the clothing which would enhance storytelling. Can you change a peeps name? We accepted adoption of our first peeps without tapping their names under the impression they could be updated like in the previous games. Its a new installment, you can tell there are some bugs to work out before major updates but Im hopeful for the return of pets and more things for the peeps to do. Side note: please remove the ads that stay on the screen like the fall coin sale that tries to get kids to spend $50-100.. Maybe add a parental setting that disables in-app purchase popups and the coins shop.
This is so unfortunate because we really loved playing this as a kid, buttwo ads for 40 coins, and everything being so expensive? Honestly, it just feels like a cash grab because the characters look the same, the furniture looks the same, and its overall just reheated nachos. Nothing about this game feels improved than the first ones.
We think this is probably the best vfam game and its fun and has a good amount of features and isnt that ugly. But its very glitchy and annoying needs a lot of fixes.
We really do love this game and how we can see other people houses and stuff but there are to many bugs. Like one is where their hunger would be 0% and when we try to get them to eat they dont eat. Another is the family tree like there would be different character names and info in the family tree when Ik thats not what its supposed to say. Or sometimes Ill open the game and our kids who moved out would be at the entrance with their partner and kids or theyll be walking around the house. And also some of our kids that we marry off come back when we reopen the game and have to re-marry them off again and its honestly annoying.
We really dislike the new character design. Its the only thing stopping us from playing. They look so weird to us.
We lost all our progress randomly, we didnt delete the app or anything. We closed the app and like 1 hour later it had completely reset. We even made a purchase of 1.99 and now its all gone. We e-mailed and have not gotten a response.
So we gave this 5 stars although it needs a lot of improvement because we do love the game. Its just quite buggy. Jumped us into the next community (level 4) when we were in 3 randomly without even reaching the set limit for needing to be there. We just woke up to that. When we move the rooms things get all jumbled around and it rearranges where all our doors go and we cant control them. Also the people just dont listen to commands and always say they dont want to do things or ignore. For example when you prepare a meal they just will start the making food option instead of sitting down or they will just clean it up. And EVERYTHING we decorate in our community disappears this is the biggest one. We have to redo our community area EVERYDAY !!! Its driving us crazy. We want all of this fixed please so we can enjoy our time a bit better without all this weird stuff happening especially our stuff disappearing constantly in the community. And randomly jumping levels etc. Also why once you are in level 4 everything is like 22,000 dollars? We found that a bit odd. It kind of takes the fun out of the game bc things are so unreachable to purchase. There needs to be more decently priced furniture. And the last thing is our children never look anything like the parents at all. We wish it was like virtual families 3 where they all look like a close knit family and get traits from their parents. We dont like just having randomized characters we choose our people wisely and we want their genes for the coming generations! We hope all these things get improved and looked at.
