— introduction —
For those who don’t have the time to play RPGs anymore,
this is a new type of game—an Alarm Playing Game!
To play dreeps, just set the alarm. That’s all. Easy, right?
When you head to bed, the robot boy will sleep just like you, regaining HP and recharging for his next day of adventure!
When the alarm rings in the morning, both of you will wake up and start your day. When you go to work or school, the robot boy will head out on an adventure through fields, valleys, and peninsulas where monsters roam. Or, he might discover dungeons where strange bosses lurk…
Either way, every day is a new day for you and the robot boy!
But how does adventuring work? That's real easy!
After the alarm sounds, the robot boy's adventure will automatically continue as long as he has enough HP, even while the app is closed. You might miss some events, but don’t worry about it.
There’s almost no text in this game.
So whenever you feel like it, load dreeps up and check on the robot boy's adventure. Or, leave it running on your desk while you work, study, or snack. Play however you want, and take it at your own pace.
Visuals and sound can give you hints to what sort of story is unfolding in this little world. But use your imagination! Take those hints and try to guess just what's happening. Oh! And don't forget that you can share screenshots of and thoughts about the game by pressing the "Share" button.
dreeps was created to give the player the ability to enjoy a story little by little, day by day. With beautifully crafted art and animations, this is a new kind of game that's easy to pick up and simple for anyone to learn.
This pocket-size adventure has been made for you by three people in Tokyo who put all their hearts into delivering a fresh and charming experience.
Thank you for playing dreeps!
This Utilities game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:
Either we need a huge expansion or a Dreeps 2. We got all the Alarms, am Level 45 and all we see are the same things. Dont want to get bored already but is hard with nothing new for weeks always.
So we bought this when it first came out and just now got our dreep to ma level! We've beaten the game numerous times but for us it wasn't done until our little robot hit max! What a long journey the two of us took and it's sad it's finally ended. We salute our little dreep.
RPGs are our favorite and with this on since you just set an alarm to heal it's fun to just watch the fights take place and hope to win the only problem is that to do boss fights you have to stay up to like 11-4 and it goes up an hour each time which is hard if have school or a job and you can't stay up late or can stay awake until 4 am sad to see it end but when we made it to the end it was sad to see it was finally over.
We set it aside, but… We came back to it. Beautiful work.
Do you feel like an automaton sometimes? Here is your ally. Silently trudging onward in commiseration. Goodnight.
Amazing game, we just finished it. So much time and effort was put into this… We recommend anyone reading this to buy it right now. There is no dialogue put into this game, making the player able to create his own story, with him being the hero. Total of 6 alarms, unlocking all allows for you to venture off into the final area. All pixel art. Gives off a retro nostalgic feeling. You do absolutely nothing in the game, you nap for the hero to gain health. Alarms act as allies in the game, some are hidden. (Taking a nap in the afternoon) while most you have to defeat a boss in order to unlock the alarm. We never expected for them to create an ending to this game, but we were stunned in awe at how visually beautiful it all went down. We're trying to analyze what just happened, so our text is all slur. We're sorry for that. We're also pretty sad that it ended. The boy is not on our screen anymore… Setting the alarm again after the ending returns him back however. It's 12:30am and we were not expecting that ending. We're tired. Writing this recommendation because this game is visually stunning… We're still trying to analyze the story as we write this recommendation very sluggishly. We'll end this with maybe one of the only texts this game has to offer. "Sleep well, Hero.".
Before we bought this, we were attracted by the stunning graphics and visuals. We made a great choice buying this game and hope there are new updates to this to continue the story since our Robot Boy already beat all the bosses and thus beaten the game. Music is attractive to the ears and makes you tempted to buy even the OST from the artist itself.
We don't typically write reviews. But this game is so unique we felt obligated to give credit where it's due. This is by far the game that we use the most…and we don't even play it. In reality it's the most sophisticated alarm clock ever created. Other alarm clocks may track your sleeping patterns or wake you gently, but this one inspires its users to imagine an epic story of a Robot boy. We know it sounds cliche but it really is worth a shot… We look forward to seeing more of what the developers of this game can imagine and create, especially within the Dreeps universe.
We have loved dreeps since we first saw a review of the game. It's true that you don't play, but you don't have to; the story evolves by itself and it's a joy to watch. We named our robot Roy and put him at our desk at work every day. We will agree with some of the other reviews that we wish the robot would gain more gear and maybe be a bit more customizable, and we also hope the story grows as well as time goes on. Roy has already beaten the game once, and we're working towards beating it a second time. Love, love, love dreeps! We hope to see more games like this available soon! #roytherobotforever.
This game is da drizzle dizzle drippidy dreep son.
This game is almost perfect for us because we happen to be be very lazy and don't put much time into games. This game allows us to do what we do best (sit around and do nothing) and still level up and stuff. We would really appreciate an update though with more bosses and a little more customization. We also like how there arent any words, it lets you make your own story. If we could rate this overall 15/10. We would also gladly support the developers with some in-app purchases.
We admire the folks who made this- the experience stays with you even after the app is closed. It's gentle and calming, despite the little battles the robot faces (though we don't feel these battles are really necessary). It's nice to know our little side kick is living a rich life is some alternate dimension.
The music and art style are both fantastic. We especially enjoy checking from time to time just to see what robot boy is up to.
Heard about it on the giant bombast, made an instant purchase, loved it.
First and foremost, this is not a game, it is an alarm app. Outside of giving your robot a name, there isn't much else to do other than check in on occasion, think of the days of interactive screen savers like fish tanks and gardens. The game looks amazing and the music is pleasant chip tune ambient stuff. The world your character is in is varied enough to make you wonder how big this thing actually is. Well worth the price and we hope to see continued support from the developer; just 3 guys from TOKYO.
This is a beautiful interactive experience. It's like Godville in a way that it basically plays itself. We hope that more content gets added over time, maybe equipment or skills as the character levels up.
Can there be a little bit of a customizable feature to main character? We understand you really don't do anything but send him to bed, but can we also have gender options? Different Clothing or weapons.
We have been "playing" for two days now and we really love Dreeps. This is our new daily companion. We no longer have time to play video games, but it's very nice to have a video game that will play itself while we work. The art and interface are really beautiful. This is definitely the best app we've downloaded in a long time. Please be aware that you won't be interacting with this game much, and that's the entire point.
Did you enjoy having a virtual pet who you could feed and it would sleep and walk around? Same thing but for RPGs. He walks around in a few different areas, fights Monteslas and sleeps. Sound boring? Kinda is, but for some reason we keep coming back to it everyday. The music and animation is beautiful, which for us completely outweighs the repetition. It's like a beautiful tapestry on a wall, that you never get bored of looking at.
We really love this alarm clock. It would be nice to see it expand, like he gains gear, and new skills. Even being updated on what he does in text or notifications would be nice. We came back to check on him yesterday and he had a new friend, we wish we had been there to see it happen. Great job, guys ! Edit: it would be nice if we could edit companions names and gear as well.
Very intuitive design and great consideration for the customer. It is definitely worth the money, but there are some great ambiguities that were not expressed in the tutorial. #1 How does the multiple alarms work? #2 Can we possibly transfer it to a new device, if we upgrade? #3 Can there be more for the user to do.
This is exactly what it says it is. It's an alarm with an RPG running on autopilot in the background. Don't expect anything else. That being said, it needs a snooze button, or at least a longer than 30 second alarm. We still set our other alarm to wake up in the morning because this doesn't cut it. Great for reminder alarms, maybe? We would like a little more interactivity. Maybe an auto and manual mode. Manual for if you want to actually fight the enemies. We don't know. Something to make it a little more engaging. Outside of that it's great.
It's a tamagotchi with an alarm. The alarm isn't great. The part where your companion is beating the montesla's is great. We've got one last boss to fight/companion to get but we're old and get tired and can't stay up till midnight. Still as boring as before but it's pretty and "catching them all" has kinda gotten us into it more. Worth the $3. –previous review– It's an interesting concept. We don't have much time to play games anymore so we were hoping this would scratch the itch. We haven't gotten to a boss yet but we have seen battles. We'll be curious to see what else is added as the game continues. The one thing that is a little disheartening is there isn't a whole lot of any type of interaction. It's a game that plays itself. We'd rather have a few prompts if we're actively looking at the screen or add a 5 second delay if the screen is active for someone to interact.
We wish there was an option where when you have the game open and a fight scene occurs, you're able to interact with the game by attacking manually instead of watching the fight passively. Or even let the player do SOMETHING when the game's open. Concept's great. Graphics are great. Just needs to be more hands-on for the user.
The game's great but it feels like it's missing customizable gear, character, because your guy isn't unique it will be the same robot for everyone it's original and creative but lacks of difference between games we mean our robot will look exatly the same as the other players.
We got this cause the preview looked interesting. We knew what it was, but we get bored easily and figured it'd be a change of pace. We use it at work cause we can't be playing a video games… But it's nice to watch things unfold…. If they ever do. It's…. Nice. Haha. There's not much to say. He just walks. We would hope there would be a little more interaction in an update or something. Or maybe even attempt a story. Add random events that trigger at certain times or locations. Excellent idea, but we're left a little wanting. Overall, it is what it is. A fancy alarm clock. We already use an alarm clock so… Hopefully they upgrade it in an update. *** update While we still rate it at 3 stars, we've kept with it for a few more days. It's more enjoyable once you get the gist of it. What they don't tell you, even in the guide book, is that events do happen. On the map there's a time "ex. 21:00"… And at 9:00pm, you'll reach a "boss" and once you defeat it, you get a traveling buddy. Also, one day we slept later. We usually try to keep the little guy awake when we're awake, and asleep when we're asleep. Our little robot boy, didn't recover enough energy the next morning. The game was telling us we needed more sleep. Pretty inventive! Haha… Needless to say, our character barely made it to the "boss" and died. We slept earlier that night. Haha… Anyway, nothing really changed about the "game". It's just a matter of perspective. Personally, we enjoy his little journey, and hopefully there's a bit more for him to do in the future. Side note: the alarm clock saved our life a time it two! Haha.
The app alarm is awesome and original, but we cant forget that the main idea of a alarm, is to wake you up when you need it. Us for example like to put the iphone in silence mode when we go to sleep, and the only sound that we want to hear till we wake up, is the sound of the alarm. (Not any incoming call, text, notifications etc.) If you can give a option to put the iphone in silence mode and still hear the alarm, would be awesome.
Much love to the developers for building a really creative and fun play on an RPG that "lives" with you. For all those that complain about the alarm not working that well, the graphics, the game not being that interactive, etc.: take a step back and admire the simplicity in execution of a concept that could easily call for an over complicated architecture that ultimately misses the point.
The controls are a bit confusing at first. Took us a while to figure out how to set the alarm. But overall, it is enjoyable.
We went to an unconventional play called "Sleep No More" in the Chelsea Arts District in New York, earlier this year. We would highly recommend you read about it because in essence, you are doing a very similar thing, but the aspect lacking in your game vs that play, one where you roamed around where ever you want within a complex and would "find drama", is that you simply have only background graphics to appreciate… We don't care if he's fighting anything; often times it's while being blocked by a piece of the foreground. When we go to check a text, the level restarts and we go back to a place we've already seen, disabling us from seeing the rest of the level unless we actually want to ignore the critical texts and emails that we have coming through. As someone with a brain, we want to see a story line… We want to see interaction within the game, make it come alive and give the character some actual depth. Additionally… The "game" is kinda just broken. He's never doing anything, he's just in a constant state of flashing white. He's always out of HP even though we've never checked the game that day and sometimes we'll tap him and he'll go to this one screen, the one that pretty much is our entire experience with the game: the one where he sits around the lamp. Yawn. You have some serious thinking to do before this is actually close to being a polished piece…. But we really like the concept, it has a lot of potential, but turn it into a TV show, with a story line, that you can tune into, and want to continue to tune into.
We really do want to like this, well you can't call it a game. But there's no point to it. We've tried it off and on but there literally is no interaction. We understand it's supposed to be a relaxation program, but you might as well get something that randomly generates colors and save your money.
It isn't very fun. We really like the idea. The art is great too. But it's often boring to look at for more then a few seconds. We understand the point is for us to imagine the story and quest the character goes on. But there needs to be more of a story told through animations or pictures or events. You don't need text, but you do need something. Please work on this we would like to see more. We would like to give it a higher score too.
We really like the approach. Sometimes we just soak in the atmosphere through our car speakers on our way to work. There is no stress to this game. It is simply delightful. We use to love checking up on our Eve Online character and see how he was progressing. This seems to satisfy that same itch.
This game is beautiful beyond belief. The attention to detail is crazy, and the imaginative nature of the game is perfectly complimented by the surreal art style. That said, it isn't exactly a game. As it calls itself a "alarm playing game", it's not wrong, it does provide on the alarm front. But as it goes for a game, it's more of a practice in storytelling than a structured game. There is little to no player interaction in it, but that's the beauty of it. You can go about your day without having to check your gold mines or elixir castles, and instead the game acts as a window into this wonderfully crafted world. We would love to see some sort of inventory system added, where the robot boy could sometimes loot interesting items or clothing the character could use. This would add a bunch to the immersion without steering away from the style of the gameplay right now.
Dreeps is, simply put, a portal into another world. It's hard to explain, but watching the robot boy walking through another world as you live out your own day is strangely compelling, symbiotic even. We couldn't help thinking of the meta-narrative of "The Neverending Story." Beautiful graphics, and well constructed environments help complete what is to be a revolutionary idea in gaming. Fantastic work.
Really neat concept and a little addictive. We like supporting innovative apps.
We hesitate to call this a "game" at all, it's so much more that than. It's a portal. A window to a fantasy. All you need to cross into this universe is a bit of imagination and, more importantly, the courage to let yourself fall into it. We owe it's creators a infinite amount of gratitude for having the bravery to put this art into the world. Thank you for this gift.
We are really enjoying this so far. We can tell a lot of work was put into this, and we're really digging the pixel art. It reminds us a lot of Godville, but a little less hands on. As mentioned by someone else, we would love to see some character customization options and possible mini games. Just optional things the user can do if he wants a little more interaction.
This app does exactly what it says: It is an alarm AND an RPG that you watch and can check in on throughout the day. Pretty fun. Would love to see the ability to customize the main character and possibly play an RPG mini game to heal him throughout the day. But cool concept and well executed ideas as is.
It's a beautiful game that is exactly what it says. We've liked checking in on our guy during the day and seeing the awesome artwork. But there could be some minor interaction, or a much clearer "how to play" menu. Other than that it's just a fun little walkabout.
The game is very cute, but it's not really a "game." There's some sort of story that's not explained, and there are very few chances for the user to actually participate in the game itself. We're hoping this will change with future updates, since it really is an interesting concept.
This app bills itself as an alarm clock app replacement with an RPG bolted on, which is a fantastic concept. However, the alarm always turns itself off after 30 seconds! This is a huge flaw in any alarm app, since it will inevitably lead to users oversleeping due to not waking during the first 30 seconds of the alarm. Other basic alarm clock app features, such as a snooze button, are also missing. We sincerely hope the developers address these issues in an update, because we really want to love and use this app.
