A Glimpse into Advanced Space Flight Lite

Advanced Space Flight is a realistic space simulator for interplanetary and interstellar travel. It is the only space simulator available that takes into account relativistic effects during interstellar flight.
Besides simulating space flight, this app can also be used as a planetarium, with all known planets shown in real scale with their accurate keplerian orbits. It can also be used as a star chart and exoplanet explorer, showing all solar systems with confirmed exoplanets within 50 light years from the Sun.
This is the only app where you can get a sense of the true scale of the Universe, zooming out through thousands of galaxies and galaxy clusters until you see the entire observable universe in your screen.

Locations with full access:

  • All inner planets in the Solar System and its moons: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Moon, Mars, Phobos, Deimos, Ceres
  • Nearby star systems: Proxima Centauri, Alpha Centauri, Sirius, Epsilon Eridani

Locations with partial access:

  • All solar system planets plus 5 dwarf planets.
  • All confirmed exoplanetary solar systems within 50 light years.
  • Experience the full scale of the Universe: you can zoom out from a few meters to billions of light years, until you see the entire observable universe in your screen.

Flight Modes:

  • Realistic Flight: Travel using optimised trajectories, calculated based on the orbital parameters of the origin and destination planets to minimise fuel usage. These are the kind of trajectories that would be used in a real space mission.
  • Free Flight: Take manual control of a spaceship in space, activating the engines as you see fit to achieve your goals.

Spaceships:
Advanced Space Flight features several spacecraft, but only one in available in this free version:

  • Space Shuttle (Chemical Rocket): Designed in 1968-1972 y NASA and North American Rockwell. It has been in service from 1981 to 2011, making it the most successful reusable spacecraft ever built.
  • Falcon Heavy (Chemical Rocket): Designed and manufactured by SpaceX, made its first flight in 2018.
  • Nuclear Ferry (Nuclear Thermal Rocket): Designed in 1964 by Ling-Temco-Vought Inc.
  • Lewis Ion Rocket (Ion Drive): Designed in a 1965 study by the Lewis Research Center.

Artificial Satellites:
Several human-made satellites are present in the app:

  • Sputnik 1
  • Hubble Space Telecope
  • Internation Space Station
  • Kepler Space Observatory
  • Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS)
  • James Webb Space Telescope

UPDATE: May 4th, 2029… We have finally figured out how to unlock other stars in free flight mode with only the first three available spacecraft! We have already unlocked Proxima Centauri, Alpha Centauri, Wolf 1061, Ross 128, Sirius, Epsilon Eridani, Luytens Star, Tau Ceti, Formalhaut, HD 192310, Luytens Star, Pollux, YZ Ceti, and Kapteyns Star! Woo hoo!!! Ask us how! ………………………………….. We have been playing this game for a few weeks, and in that time we have unlocked every planet and dwarf planet. The only trouble Im having now is trying to unlock other star systems. In the lite version, we are limited to only three spacecraft. This makes it very difficult to accomplish interstellar travel. Fortunately, it isnt impossible to accomplish, but its a real crapshoot. First, we slingshot off of Jupiter, starting at about 50 AU from the planet. This instantly launches us into interstellar space. We just cant seem to get close enough to any stars to establish a stable orbit. It is also possible to launch the spacecrafts out of the Milky Way, but it becomes very glitchy. It would be great if the app could be expanded to include other celestial locations, such as nebulae, black holes, quasars, pulsars, magnetars, neutron stars, and even vista other galaxies. Heck! It would be sweet to be able to land on a planet and view actual terrain! The closer this game is to becoming more like Space Engine, the more likely Ill pay for the full version.

Game not playable on our i7 running IOS 13.

The Planets in our Solar System are not in their correct positions in relationship to each other as they are in real life. The space flight mechanics of this App is incredibly basic. The Space shuttle could never realistically be flown past the Earths higher orbital limits without running out of fuel let alone make it to the Moon and back. The App is ok as long as you do not expect much realistic Space flight from it.

We like this game its perfect realesticaly.

We want payload missions and when you click launch it lets you choose what mission it is based off the rocket!

Could we please get some of the nasa X planes like x-15 x-24 or x-37?

We Really Love This Game Even You Added SpaceXs Falcon-Heavy You Could Have More Spaceships That Are Free To Use!!

Great game but its missing a lot. So we can send a space craft to orbit and then its done, kinda lame. Please add the ability to give the space craft multiple missions. For example: send it to orbit then reselect it to add a new mission. And have it where you can select the amount of fuel it carries when you spawn it so you can add more missions. This will defiantly improve the game. Thanks.

We need to unlock some faster rockets for free.

You need multiplayer and stages on the Rockets.

Okay so we like this game but we just cannot go beyond the moon like AT ALL but that might just be us since we can only play KSP with infinite fuel and other shenanigans but other then that we like this a lot also we dont know how to unlock more rockets and the only other one we have gotten is the Lewis ion rocket we also graphics for the planets and moons to be more realistic sorry weak tablet or phone users but other then that really good game.

THERE is sooooo little stage animations it makes it feel like Im playing a game for 4 year olds.

Please add Saturn v but great game.

The controls were very hard we will like a tutorial mission.
