Such an amazing game. The one thing is everything is too expensive. Either it needs to be easier to make money or cheaper to buy things. But other than that incredible game.
This game is so fun! We have no complaints so far other than one. In order to get certain items to upgrade buildings, you either need money or to watch an ad (or to cross your fingers and hope a flight brings one, but ours never have). We have watched numerous ads in hopes of getting the item, but after we watch the ad, we never receive the item. Not sure if this is a connection issue or a flaw in the game, but im really hoping its fixed soon! Overall, super fun game otherwise!
We have never seen such blatant use of ads to level up in any of these building games such as this one uses. With that said, the game is well designed and will leave u looking at the same ads for hours and hours.. Its like crack for ATC and City builder fans in one… Easily likable and hateable all in one package…
The game has potential, but the attempts to sell in-game purchases ruin it. You will routinely get discounts or sales on in-game purchases. We know this is common for free games, but in this game any offer manifests as an icon on the home screen. The screen you play the game on is always 1/3 to 1/2 covered in icons for in-game purchases. It is difficult to actually play the game due to the number of purchase icons.
We’ve spent about $50 on this game in the last week or so and it has not gotten us far. Its a cool game but its a long waiting game which makes the game boring and theres really no point in it. You dont win the prom queen and they try to take your money so you can make the next move and if your wrapped up in the game then they win and you get an inch. Not recommended at all.

Takes too long to get money to upgrade anything on this game. Its very slow dragging game cause of it.
It could be an appealing game overall. It rewards you for watching adds, but you never receive the rewards. Youre stuck in the game. Basic improvements are badly needed.
It starts out fun at first but there is so many upgrades that require you to spend money that it quickly becomes an expensive game instead of a free game. You always have to upgrade some thing and then when you use your coins you have to find extra things to use feature you just purchased. Ridiculous.
Update on our review below. Its much worse that we thought. This company has 17 games that all follow the same model, expensive to play after a short period, bugs, poor to no support. They dont give a fig about customer service. The are resting on the fact that they built up great reviews when first released, when game play was much more level and not quite as expensive. Then they slowly turned off the free features, probably purposefully implemented buggy ad views and now only respond to positive feedback. Save yourself the frustration, read the current reviews, look at the ratio of 1 star to 5 star reviews, its pretty, but its not worth it. Initial review: Interesting and enjoyable app until you get out of the first couple of days of play. Then be prepared to spend lots and lots of money to make any progress, we wouldnt. The game has great graphics, the play is engaging, although there are some things that could be done to make it a little more realistic. There are bugs as well. For instance, early on you can watch video ads to make progress and pretty often. The problem is, you are not given credit for the view after watching the vide!o and sometimes might have to watch it a couple of times. Of course, they derive money from these ads, so there is no incentive for them to fix this. Also, once you trip to the idea that you can watch videos to make progress instead of having to buy some of the items you need, they change the time span for how often you can watch from 5 minutes to 24 hours. Next, the cost for purchasing coins and cash are, well, outrageous. Dont take our word for it, download and play the game for yourself, but if its going to cost us $30 – $50 a week to make progress and grow, not worth it. The interesting thing is, these are not tangible products, but the certainly are charging like it is. They could cut the cost for their products and still make a boatload on money, but the probably have quite a number of people hooked on the game now and so they are raking in the cash and why change? Im curious how much some people are playing on the game and why would you continue? It would be interesting to try and change the landscape for these games, take them to a more reasonable framework for charging customers, maybe you could build a more sustainable and longer term relationship with the customer. Us? Im out of this one.
The game is so hard and to much money bruh and we love it but.. Jest gets boring we fell like it needs some updates.

The game gives you an opportunity to watch an ad for an item. Great Idea… If it worked. Youll watch many repetitive ads for absolutely nothing but a waste of your time.
Its a really good game, but the ads often do not give credit. We find myself having to restart the game, or Ill have to watch multiple ads for the same thing because they dont give credit.
We really enjoy the game but you really dont earn enough coins for flights to advance. On top of that we’ve watched many adds to try and speed things up and seem to rarely get the reward. If this continues Im not sure Ill continue playing. Its too much work to try to get a simple building upgraded that is required for the progress of our town & airport. As we said before we really enjoy the game but we feel that improvements on earning coins could be made. And the adds should actually give you rewards when they say they will.

It would nice if the game would accumulate coins while not in progress. We’ve been playing for 3 months and we are still waiting to gain enough coins to expand. The collection to coin ratio is off balance. It would be nice if the developers send us a million coins.
Developers need to keep up with glitches and make special events easier for the lower end players to complete and grow in the game. Takes too many actual hours of game play to achieve anything.
This game is nothing like the add not easy to play what so ever.
We’ve played Airport City of a year or two now and with every update, the game gets slower, buggier, and worse about having to pay real money (and a lot of it – not just $5-10) to advance at all. As others have written, side-stepping payment by watching ads NEVER works. Bad three ways: game company gets the ad revenue, the player gets nothing and wastes time in the vain hope they will. Lastly, the cost of upgrades (how many points/airport dollars, etc) between levels is CRAZY. Quick example: upgrading City Hall from level 4 to 5 cost about 80,000 coins, from level 5 to level 6 costs 180,000. It takes FOREVER to earn that many coins -unless you buy them with real cash. Steer clear and save your money – we think there are a lot faster-paced, more engaging games in the App Store that dont try to empty players wallets so brazenly.
First of all we like the game very much. The only real issue we have is that when you watch the ads to get the items to finish buildings most of the time it doesnt give the item. Just wasting time watching ads for nothing. Very frustrating!!!
Like many games of this type it is the same. New building = money + items. Money ok but the items are slow to come and while you are waiting the building is unusable. It sucked when we upgraded the fuel station and then couldnt get fuel for 3 days while we waited for Friends and building to drop items. The ads dont give you the items so you are stuck spending RL $$$. Come on!!
We’ve been a daily player on this game for many years and for the most part truly loved our experience. It was a costly game to play and we moaned about it but honestly we truly enjoy the daily goal of trying to build something. When they switched over to the new platform or design, things started changing and unfortunately not for the better. It became a inherently harder game to keep building from. Id play anywhere from 4-6x a day, it was addicting like a drug. However, more and more problems have been happening which have caused us to cut of our addiction to Airport City. It all started when despite being at the highest level could never even come close to completing / winning one of their competitions. We know Im not alone in this category as we see it posted on the boards frequently. The next item was that one day two of our planes had mysteriously disappeared. After a week or so working with the CS team they finally added it back. Call it a technical glitch, sure, but why does it need to take a week to fix something as small as this? Well the last item that pushed us away from this game was we would watch their ads as to gain items needed for flight. Only problem is no gift would appear as promised. So basically Im watching ads for fun… Their response to this matter also took well over a week and when we asked if we would be compensated, even with just items needed for flight, it was declined. So we wish all the users all best, its been a really great experience until it wasnt and to all future players, be mindful. Regards – dp.
You do not receive rewards for watching ads 80% of the time. We have reported this bug before Christmas and they have sent out two updates not fixing it still. Dont waist your time.
We’ve been trying now for a couple weeks… We look at ads and dont receive rewards. Its not right. We’ve written tech support… They still havent helped. Can someone help?
We got the game to play with our kids. It offered us to watch ads to get items needed to complete products so we watched the ads and it would only give us the items half of the time. Then they had this promotion that if you naught one of the building you would get another building for free. We bought one of the building and it took the airport cash from our profile but never gave us the building. Another example of a free game taking advantage of its users. Get your stuff together, gameinsight!
Ok so, This might be kinda selfish to ask, but can we get dollars as much as we get expensive upgrades? They are really hard to get, you also need to add a list on how to earn dollars. Also, expansions are a lot, would you mind if you lower the price to all about 1000? Its hard to get money without any building to get money from, just little improvements for your outstanding game :)
This is a really good game, but it has one slight issue, the coin system. Not that long after you start the game, you begin to have an issue, called a coin shortage. At the time of writing this, we are at level 26, and we dont have that many coins, because so many things require so many coins, making it nearly impossible to get any more buildings, and even the space costs a lot of coins, and we wouldnt mind if the secondary currency wasnt so rare, but it is. This makes it to where we need to not spend any money when we want to get an expensive item.
This would be an amazing game, however im not getting important rewards after we sit through adds. Please correct this, its very frustrating.
Takes way too long to make enough coins to buy anything!
Game is enjoyable but it does steal your cash over time. We have been playing this game for several weeks and have seen our money slowly disappear over time to where we have none left in the game. We have. Ion but no money so we can play. It is just not fair that you try to save up the cash but it is gone the next time you begin to play the game. We have tried to hit the tech support button that comes up while the game is loading but it doesnt work. So we gripe here.
We miss being able to buy games. We HATE in-purchase app games and they way you pay to play/win. Nothing is ever really based on skill or strategy. Its all based on how far a game designer can test your patience before you decide to PAY to take a game through the next level. For that reason, we never pay. We might buy a game we like, but we never pay to play. Once we feel a game gets too challenging, we simple delete the download and move on to other games. But we get it. Things are never going to change now. Why should a developer sell his work for $10-$20-$30 when he can make a steady stream of $hundreds off us suckers? Wise up, people!
Compared to other building games there are some nice creative elements. The downside is that in-game coins and dollars, build speed and number of pre-requisites to build are out of balance for value provided. In short, unless you want to build very slowly after a (short) while or spend lots of real money you will need to be very patient. Im already getting bored waiting, and we have spent some money to play. UPDATE 12/27/2020: Game has gotten glitchy and Im getting close to ditching it.
We have played this game for years. When its working, it can be fun. We made it to the highest level (80) without spending a dime. Maybe thats why we cant get any help from tech support. Watching ads for rewards is the only way to advance if youre not willing to spend real cash, and for the last several months there have been no rewards for watching the ads. Repeated notices to tech support have been a waste of time; they get forwarded to research and the issue isnt ever resolved. While we havent sent them cash we have helped with their ad views. Patience has about run out. Fix the issues and make up for all of the rewards that players have been cheated out of, or Im done.
This is a good game and fun to play but we agree as to why it costs so much to upgrade things and why the plane flights take soooo long and only net a little bit of money. Current problem: when we try and watch the free video to get an item to upgrade buildings it doesnt reward you with that item. We have sent numerous message to the developers but nothing has been fixed so we are currently stuck and cannot upgrade anything to grow our airport. We will gladly change our rating of this game when these problems allow us to progress in the game.
The ads are lying !! The game is nothing like the ads that we saw. Totally different game.
This is a very slow & expensive game, play all day for a couple of thousand coins & need millions of them Many cities on game are stagnant where people dont play anymore Updates are all the time & strange, sometimes can take an hour to update, since every update needs twice, once from App Store, then to open the game has a whole thing it goes thru our suggestion is, you could feel more accomplished watching your finger nails grow.
This game is the epitome of pay to play games. Youll get nowhere unless you decide to cough up real dough. To top that off the game play is not up to par. Planes constantly get jumbled together and we’ve whatched countless adds for the full 30 seconds required only to not receive any credit for them. Have contacted tech support on multiple occasions and have never once receive a valid response from a human. Save your time and money. There are much better games out there.
Typically the kind a game we like, but lots of bugs. Planes get stuck and you have to reboot. But most annoyingly, using videos to get items you cant otherwise get stops working repeatedly, making it impossible to finish construction and other things. And nothing but a note to tech support fixes it.
We spent so much money on this game that we enjoy but they still havent fixed the bug of not being able to get the free things that you dont have enough of.

When you try to deal with a problem, the app gives you a text application that has you chat with a computer. It gives you a simple answer to your problem in hopes that you will give up… When you press on, you get a response that someone will get with you within a couple hours "there are a lot of people that need help." If they actually would deal with the problem instead of giving soft results in hope that that will satisfy people… Then maybe they would have less people needing help. We rarely leave 1 star reviews. In this case we have spent money on an item within the app just to have to spend more money in order to use said item in a timely manner. The app offers the ability to watch ads to speed up that progress, but after watching those ads, there is no result.
This game was great, been playing for months. After the update, when we watch a video to earn items the item doesnt show up in inventory, thus leaving multiple missions unfinished. Fix!
This game starts off fun, but then you realize its impossible to progress without spending significant real money. They offer the option to watch ads in order to get required items for free, but dont bother… It doesnt work. You watch a 30 second ad and get nothing in return. If you like throwing money away, then this is the game for you!
