Find out what gamers are saying about Alice Trapped in Wonderland:

SO DANG FUN our favorite game we’ve played since a little kid, hard, but thats what makes it fun and challenging.

We enjoyed this puzzle adventure game. You do have to travel back and forth which can get confusing. Love all MediaCity games.

Although fairly sprawling like a lot of MediaCity games with a lot of back and forth travel, the setting is unique and enjoyable and the primary goal in completing the game is centrally located. Some fairly rote puzzles but a few of them have some unexpected layers. We do wish the hints/clues/maps weren’t nested inside the inventory chest.

Great game, but we wish audio from music or podcasts could continue playing in the background while we’re playing the game.

Enjoyed the game. We’ve been playing several point ‘n click games recently, for some reason, and this is probably the one from this dev that we liked the best. We got this a long time ago and never got around to it but now we wish we had done so sooner. Like the couple of other games we have from this dev, the map is only partly useful. It doesn’t help much if you’re trying to find the quickest way from point A to point B but it can help you remember in which scene you found something or where you need to got to finish something. Also, there is too much back and forth, like in their other games, but we didn’t think it was as bad as in the other games of theirs that we’ve played. Puzzles were not too difficult, overall, but also mostly not stupidly easy, though there are usually one or two where it takes a little thought or time to know where to go or what to do. We checked out the hints after finishing because, when we went to write our review we saw some complaints about them. We agree, while not completely useless they seemed in many cases fairly useless–they could have been worded better to give a good hint without giving too much away. We also agree with some of the comments on the poor English–there are too many instances of that in the game. The combination of the map, hints and journal all inside the inventory chest is also more cumbersome than it should be.

We <3 this game it is the best mystery/escape room we have ever played!!

Love the puzzles and the game kept our interest. Also kept close to the story of Alice in Wonderland. Very nicely done.

We had a great time with this game. Totally buying the second one.

Im a massive escape the room fan and this game was huge and amazing. Totally worth the price of admission.

Our daughter and we are binging these type of games, most of which we have been getting for free through appsgonefree. We ran into some snags but we would put it down and come back to it or think about it a different way and succeed. It took us a couple days, but that is because we refuse to look at the walkthroughs!

We really wish we could live in this world. The graphics are beautiful, and the game is long with the perfect difficulty. We were challenged and satisfied but never frustrated, and we didnt have to use any hints. The solutions all make logical sense, so youll never need to try to use every item on every object like you do in some other games. And theres no pixel hunting, either. Its not quite as zany and offbeat as you might expect from an Alice game, and you dont actually get to interact with the famous Wonderland characters, but there are many fun references to the books. Its a relaxing, enjoyable way to spend a few hours in another world!

We really enjoyed this game. We didn’t need any hints but it was appropriately challenging. In fact, we don’t want a game so frustrating that we feel that we need hints, nor do we want a game so easy that we cruise through without them. Again, if you just stay persistently focused, you will see everything taking shape. There were times we didn’t know what to do next, but then we revisited places I’d been and realized we overlooked something. Thankfully, you don’t just find an item and apply it somewhere. There are many instances you are holding onto something for quite a while before you realize where it applies. The standalone puzzles were great. We didn’t feel they were too out in space, as we’ve seen in some similar games where you’re thinking "are you serious? How would we have ever understood that’s what they wanted us to do?" That mental moment never occurred for us in this game. After I’d solved a puzzle, we felt confident the game gave us enough clues to think that through and solve it. Not simply, of course… There was thought there, but it was fun and satisfying and we wish it were longer because we were having a great time. The graphics were lovely and we felt happy inside of this world. 5 stars for fun, cleverness, and beauty.

The graphics, sound effects and music are well done. We didnt need to know any Alice lore to move thru this game. We assumed we had to solve each map area in alpha order to proceed – not true – the maps seemed the most useful when consulting a hint. The puzzles were reasonable and when items had to be gathered they made sense within the story line. We’ve played games where we just used hints to finish a torturous ending. This one was reasonable and flowed to the conclusion. We will be moving on to A2. Thanks for a nice gaming experience.

Overall we found the game entertaining and worth playing. However, the puzzles were a bit underwhelming for us. Maybe we have played too many of this genre but we found the puzzles too simplistic, obvious. Not sure why people would even need to use the hint function. Im assuming the developer does not speak English natively. The grammatical mistakes were the most off putting for us. Descriptions like, its a bricks wall ruins the flow of the game. We would suggest having someone review the dialog and fix the errors if possible.

We really enjoyed playing this game. We liked the music and graphics and there were no glitches that we found. When we first realized what the final puzzle, or ultimate puzzle was, we were surprised because we couldnt think what else needed to be done, until we started finding more of the pieces. We were a little impatient and used the walk-through to help us get over a few hurdles, bit only read parts because we enjoyed figuring these puzzles out. This was fun for a person like us. Kudos to the developer. We want to see how much we can do on the next one before resorting to help.

We spent 2 hours trying to complete the game just to get a note that says to be continued very sad.

The gameplay started well, graphics a bit lame, but then the hints totally useless. We reached a point where no further progress is possible.

SAVE YOUR MONEY! IMPOSSIBLE TO FOLLOW! NONE OF THE HINTS WORK! HORRENDOUS RIP OFF. NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!

Poor quality graphics; still has bugs. Cannot advance out of first round. Hints are vague and irrelevant to the game.

We love Alice in wonderland so it’s a yes!!!!!!!

If you are stressing and need a little time to cool down then you should go with this game it’s really good and challenges you problem solving skills. Please make more games like this.

We’ve played this game a total of 12 times, all the way through. We love it!! But… Where is part two? This game came out four years ago, is there ever going to be a part two? We do really enjoy this game!

We finished the game and it basically flatly states that there will be a sequel, WHERE IS IT??????? We LOVE THIS GAME AND WILL TOTALLY BUY A SEQUEL.

This game was awesome to play. Not super easy and it takes while to solve game. The money was worth the game ( we bought a bundle pack which made the price reasonable ) Developer- are you planning on making a part 2?

MediaCity games are quite good. They work well, they are challenging and the graphics top notch and interaction works well. Very clever. There are similarities in the games but two are free and the others are .99¢, well worth the time and investment. Highly recommend!!! Bravo!!!

We like the Alice in wonderland theme. The puzzles are so creative but not so difficult as to be impossible.

Very good adventure game! Only had to use the hints twice, but the hints are tough to sort through to find what you need. Overall great story and fun to play.

We really enjoyed this point and click adventure. The scenery was beautiful.. Lots of fun exploring. There is no quick transport, which some might not like. But we prefer to take our time and move around the world…. The realistic scenes blended with fantasy gives a much more immersive experience. Not a very long game… We finished it in less than 2 hours with a couple of breaks. Even still, well worth the $2!

This game is great when you need a quick break, our one complaint is that the game ends on a cliffhanger and a part two still hasnt come out, other then that it is a wonderlandiful game!!

It was a great game. Both myself and our 6 year old daughter loved solving the puzzles together.

This game is intriguing. Lots of puzzles and lots of fun to play. Glad the hints are available. Looking forward to part 2…..

This is a nice game with good puzzles.

Lo jugamos con mi hija de 6 aos y fue muy interesante ir descubriendo cada pista, fue muy entretenido y lo jugamos varios das, muy recomendado.

Simple point and click game. The game lines are not all totally linear, you have to do some back and forth stuff. It’s fun, and if you need them there are hints. Best part you don’t have to pay to advance. Haven’t finished yet, but we’ll be continueing on.

We thought it was too easy at first, but found several parts where we needed a nudge in the right direction. Everything was well-connected and thought-out as compared to some games where tasks seem too random. Felt like we could enjoy the play, without getting overly-stressed.

We liked this game. It is simple and easy to follow. The clues you gather are easy to use. You do not have to wonder where most things you find are used. We bought the bundle, and would buy it again.

We play a lot of these point & click types of games. The Media City games arent anywhere near the best by any means, in fact this is only one actually worth buying IMO. This didn’t have us wracking our brain much but the puzzles were good enough to keep us interested. We used the hints once at the very end where we were genuinely stuck, but otherwise played through the whole game in around 2 1/2 hours.

Dont let the cynical opinions sway you: These games are very fun and very creative. Not to mention incredibly cheap! Keep in mind that a real escape room will run you as much as $35 per person for one hours worth of fun. Consider that and that vast worlds created in these games (which take several hours to solve), and youll see that its well worth the small fee. And if you can get the bundledo it!

In the ending, it leaves a huge cliffhanger that pretty much takes 5-4 stars. We played this since we were 8 and loved it so much, but the ending was unfinished and needs to be completed. We suggest making a sequel to attract more players and reunite them with what they loved.

This was a pretty fun game overall, and we would have given it four stars, but we need to subtract one star due to the absolutely horrible, anticlimactic ending. (I’m being generous not subtracting two stars, the ending is that bad.)

Graphics sucked!! Navigation was annoying, hints were barely helpful.. Amongst many other complaints. So many great games out there that are worth the money this one is not. In our opinion if a game maker is that confident in his creation they’ll provide a lite version as well…. Let the gamer decide for themselves if they wanna spend the money.

Game is good for goofing off and the story idea is good. That’s where the good review review ends. You have to use the hints too much, and when you do, they aren’t even clear. The "hints" don’t even help you all the time. FYI, you have to take the lever out of the rock in front of Jabberwock’s cave and use it on the stone door inside the cave. It took us almost an hour to figure that out (and lots of frustration). Spelling is bad and some of the sentences don’t make sense. But, we stuck through it, wanting to know the end, and……. TOTAL LET DOWN! We mean, what a waste! So, we give it 2 stars because it was free to play and killed an afternoon.

Almost to end of game and huge game glitch prevents conclusion. Game gave us 2 of the same runic stone, 4th missing runic stone impossible to obtain as it doesn’t exist. We can send screenshots from all 4 rune locations and inventory showing 2 of the same stone. Game is not solveable.

Cant believe we paid for this game. If youre used to playing high quality adventure / puzzle games on PC and were looking for something similar in iOS, we feel your pain and can assure you that you WILL be disappointed with this one. Flat, uninteresting, half of the game play makes no sense and you just end up spending your time looking at the hints manual because if you do things out of order you can become totally screwed, and there is zero storyline. Terrible terrible terrible!! Proof that anyone with enough money can make an app.

This is a game that we feel was a waste of our $1.99. The graphics were pretty good but thats about as good as it gets. They give you hints, which you pretty much have to use to know what to do, and even then you have to find a walk-through because the clues are vague or confusing. If you use clues and the walk-through, basically cheat, the whole game can be completed in 2-3 hours, and we did that, WHILE wrangling our toddler. Also if you miss a step or a clue, then the hints can be useless. There is tons of running around back and forth and if you miss a clue, you could miss discovering areas of the map and not be able to use the clue the game provides. The in game map is also an unorganized jumble of discovered places. Even with the walk-through we continuously got lost trying to find what we were looking for and wasting time running around. There was also minimal story line. We feel like since we paid for the game we should keep it, but since it is already beaten and would have been very frustrating without cheating, we dont necessarily want to keep it. We are a HUGE Alice in Wonderland fan and was looking for a cool game. This game was NOT the cool game we were looking for, and we wish we could just get our money back.

We just finished this game. Loved everything about it. Looking forward to the sequel…. Hurry!!! :))

Not overly hard- except the heart key issue. Do look forward to the next phase. We like games that make you think but the clues are all there.
