We love this game and have been playing it for years now. We would love to use it with our backbone controller and would love for you guys to add controller support.

Hard to stop with just one. The beautification of simple joy.

Thank you, Laser Dog. We’ve gotten our mileage out of this game ten times over, and now have our little brothers playing it on their devices. A game that doesnt beg, pander for or demand our time, or more importantly, our money, is hard to come by these days And for that very reason we feel no shame in spending hours playing this game sometimes. Dying in this game doesnt frustrate us, which is crazy. Its extremely difficult but not unfair, theres no gimmick or artificial handicap here – just raw reflexes and focus. After having this game since its release, we finally cleared our first level today – 11,400 meters. Seeing the credits roll instead of a start over screen gave us chills. Such a great feeling! The music, sound effects, and simplicity of design are utter perfection. This is what Mobile Games should all have been. Its a work of art.

Harkens back to the OG days of Canabalt, etc. Id like to see different ship options though. Id love a ship with a little more weight to it.

We’re sitting here doing our duty, playing this game in 2021, thinking how many "runner" games are similar in concept but haven’t held our attention over the years. The atmosphere, visual style, music, simple mechanics, help to make this game a gem that will never be deleted off our phone. I’d love to see a sequel or something to expand on what this game does. Things that keep us from playing more often: – no controller support. Sad. – music implementation is basic: I’d love to see a dynamic music system that ramps down when you die, and gets more intense as you progress further. Not saying write new music, but using the current musical tracks to shape the experience more for each run. Currently, after three or four runs with the music trucking along indifferent to your gameplay it starts to get annoying imo. Starting a new run with the music pumping at full hype, after dying from almost beating your high score, feels a little like the game is poking fun at your losses, and personally takes the wind outta our sails, and quickly kills our excitement to continue. Currently nothing beats the excitement of your very first run, in part, because the music naturally is synched to intensifying gameplay. – one additional mechanic. Maybe adding cool down weapons like cluster missiles on the right thumb as you progress deeper, to help take out asteroids. – some kinds upgrade ship system. Maybe menu screen has a hanger bay, allowing for different ships and/or upgrade abilities. Having said that, this game really is a beautiful gem. Thanks to the devs for such a simple yet amazing game, providing years of fun on our phone.

Fun game but we wish the progression were more thematic and/or varied (the Dark level is really cool but hardly anyone has unlocked it). For example: Have a few different background types which change as you progress further and then vary the hazard types based on the backgrounds. You dont need any new art besides background images. – The environment starts off inside a giant, damaged spaceship. – At 2000m you escape the ship and are in the middle of a battle having to dodge projectiles (lots of the comet hazard. – At 4000m you leave the battle and enter an asteroid belt having to dodge giant rocks. – At 6000m you enter a narrow tunnel through a giant asteroid. – At 8000m you enter a dark section of the asteroid (basically The Void difficulty level which is really unique but only ~300 people have gotten to experience it in the current game). – At 10000m??? It would add to the replay value having that mystery of what else might be out there if you can make it a little further in your next run. Right now it just gets repetitive because you know that you arent going to see much variety except different color backgrounds and a few more obstacles. Alternatively just keep things randomized as they are now but make a few different level types which are more varied. One level has more large rocks, another one has more projectile hazards, another has narrower caves, another has twistier caves, etc. And throw in some random modifiers like the Dark modifier. Just mix things up a bit.

Just downloaded and it forces you to start on a hard level. Is there no way of changing this? Looking through the menu doesnt offer any level changes and everything on the initial scroll screen is locked.

This is by far one of the best games on the App Store today we’re really glade we bought it this will keep us going for weeks at a time it’s amazing thanks for making it.

This game is amazing. It has an awesome visual affect and keeps us coming back.

Simple, challenging, addictive. What more could we ask for? We enjoy this game so thoroughly because of the exciting and challenging gameplay; but even as much for the story which is never told with words, but instead observed on your "solitary journey." Truly great this one is!

It is Challenging, fast, colorful game. The music is amazing and the graphics are beautiful. This game will get you playing for years. We want to buy the soundtrack on this. Does anyone know if they have that available?

Fun time. In the amount of time that we’ve played this we have sometimes beaten other games, like prune and monument valley. That always pisses us off. This game has replay value and it’s hard enough to keep you challenged. We haven’t yet gotten to 4000 meters on the first level so the second level is still locked. We keep dying around 3400. Thank you Alone for being challenging and fun. TL;RD.

Love it! Reminds us of SFCave from our Palm days, just more modern.

To succeed in this game there are some tricks that may be helpful. 1. Turn off inverted controls 2. Turn off screen flashes 3. Turn off particle effect These are our tips to help you succeed!

It’s a runner, okay? But what a runner. The ambience will appeal to any sci-fi fan, the pace is crazy fast, and the music is fantastic. You’ll keep coming back, guaranteed. We love this clean, simple gem. Grab it.

The game is simple, at times annoying, but the vast lifelessness environment doesn’t seem so "Alone" due to the commits fly forward at you, or the environment that’s self destructing beneath and above your little ship, try to get somewhere, where we ask? Well it’s up to the gamer to decide the fate of your spacecraft.

We hope that title isn’t offensive. Canabalt is one of the best iOS games ever, and now this game is up there with it. We can’t believe this game has so few reviews! It’s amazing. Can’t. Stop. Playing. Not offering IAP to unlock the levels is really hard-core. We would’ve paid by now, but instead we have to play over and over again until we make it. Then we write a review about how addictive it is and Oh! We see what you did there!

If u want to spend ur money, don’t go wasting it on clash of clans or some other bad games that will only make you spend more money. Buy this game because it’s fun and the music is awesome! JUST DO IT.

We don’t own many games on our phone, thank god this one caught our eye. Beautiful designs. Stellar music. Simple, entertaining gameplay. If you ever played "helicopter" games, you’ll love this. More control and much faster game play. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a sound game to put some money down for.

Very simple controls, beautiful graphics, and an awesome soundtrack. Great immersive experience with headphones on.

This is one of our favorite games and is wonderfully designed and the sound track is sooooo good plz get it if you havent yet :)

One of the best side scrollers we have played in a long time. Amazing controls. Fast paced action. Addicting as hell.

Although they have only made 3 games, they have been the most intuitive and creative game producer of all time. ALONE is one of our favorite games and the gameplay is fantastic. It’s fast-acting and always running smoothly. The MUSIC IS AMAZING. We have bought their OST because we love game. We support them that much. Keep making great games Laser Dog!

The essence of mobile gaming: Simple. Fun. Addictive. Alone is a great game.

Brutal, but good. The more you play, the better you get.

This game is not for the feint of heart. Very fast paced yet tight fluid controls. We do think the larger the screen you have the more you will enjoy it. We are on an iPad Pro and it really is an advantage having a larger screen. One of our current favorite games.

This game is beautiful (both visually and acoustically) and very hard. Be warned, it’s addictive.

Someone else mention this game was like Canabalt. We thought the same thing too when we first played this, except that this is on steroids.

We bought this right after buying Downwell. We hesitated buying this in the past because of the perceived difficulty. In our opinion this game is not as hard as Downwell and the controls work better. We’re addicted to both games at the moment, but we keep going back to Alone. We think replay value will end up going to Downwell but this game should not be passed up if you have any inclination to endless runners. Also, try turning your iPhone to portrait and running either top to bottom or bottom to top. We ended up getting longer runs in this orientation. We learned that from a previous reviewer Request: sensitivity dial for ship controls. You really should be able to adjust this.

Best game we’ve ever played just love it.

This game is awesome! Especially the sound. We can’t stop playing it. Recommend to everyone!

A beautiful game, Alone is a testament to fantastic design, meticulous crafting, and attention to detail. The designers at Laser Dog Games are truly dedicated to making something special, and with this title, they have fully succeeded. The twitch, refined gameplay is heavily addictive and exceptionally fun. We could write an entire review simply praising the gameplay, but in order to avoid sounding boring, we will sum it up in one word: awesome. There was never a dull moment in this game, and we would recommend it on gameplay alone, but that is only one of its many, incredible attributes. The graphical display is engrossing and with multiple beautiful backgrounds, we found myself wrapped up in the story they told and the work that went into coding them. The music is perfectly thematic and thrilling, and really makes you want to play. Just one more time. That is the core of this gaming experience. It makes you, regardless of how many times you have failed, pick up your device again and relaunch. As the years go by and apps are removed, shifted, or added to our phone, one app will always remain. It will stay there forever, because Alone is not the type of game that you delete. It’s the type of game that you experience, feel, and love.

Seriously addictive. We’ve been playing all day. Well worth the price!

This is a great game! We love the soundtrack. It’s so addictive! The only thing we could say negatively about it is that you should tell people what the controls are, because it took us 10 times before we figured them out. Other than that, great game.

Classic Laser Dog production. Like PUK and HoPiKo, they take a simple control scheme and fry your brain. Great (and hectic) arcade game, just beautiful.

This game is simple, yet elegant and beautifully emotional. The soundtrack is phenomenal and the atmosphere is extremely well put together. What appears to be a simple, somewhat mundane game on the tin is actually an exhilarating experience that keeps you playing.

Explosion ….. Oh, sorry. We were to busy having MY MIND BEING BLOWN TO BITS AFTER PLAYING THIS GAME!!!! This is was a true masterpiece, and boy am we lucky that it’s only 10 dollars! We thought it would cost even more money! The controls are smooth, simple, and with the perfect sensitivity! Like, for real, the lowest difficulty is "veteran," like, FOR REAL! HOW COOL IS THAT!?! WOULD RATE 6 OUT OF 5 IF we COULD!!! THAT IS HOW AMAZING THIS GAME IS!!! LIKE, we PUNCTUATED EVERY SENTENCE WITH AN EXCLAMATION MARK!!!! Well, except for this one. And this one, lol.

The artwork, and music alone are enjoyable. The app is perfection. Smooth controls, just slide a thumb up or down. Lightening quick reflexes are possible. Really enjoy the art! Don’t listen to the nay-Sayers. This game is enjoyable and like meditation, you have to have mushin (no mind).

We like this game.. It’s amazing .. And we love the hard way to play and controlling. Thanx and don’t forget to update next levels. All the best.

This game is amazing. We’ve been on the second difficulty for months but we keep coming back. Control is very tight. It almost feels like mind control. Only iOS game that makes our heart beat faster!

This game is a blast. You can have short sessions of one or a few tries that can get surprisingly successful or lose yourself and your eyes on it for a whole hour. The music and sound effects deserve to be heard on headphones. Graphics are vector designed, classy, and open up your imagination for projecting yourself in the survival of your capsule. Gameplay is nervous, controls are responsive, the game is challenging without creating frustration with the game itself : when you crash, your piloting lead to it, nothing else (eventually some bad luck with two boulders in a row). The experience of sound, graphics and gameplay combined allow for a surprisingly effective sense of immersion in a sci fi adventure of your own creation. Highly recommended.

The graphics are beautiful and the music is amazing. However, the controls are too hard. They are either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. This is a major problem since it affects the gameplay, but it can easily be fixed.

One of the all time great tunnel runners. The only reason we didn’t give it all five stars is that it gets too difficult too quickly. It needs a novice level to make it perfect.

This app is definitely worth your purchase. The gameplay, and the soundtracks make it lots of fun to play, and will make you want to play it again and again.

This is a really fun and addictive game, and we don’t mean addictive in a bad way. The only problem we have had is scores not updating properly. On all game screens it says our high score is over 2000, yet online it says our score is 1500 (about). But if you like games like super hexagon and wave wave, this game is fast paced, has multiple difficulties, and has a great art style.
