In Alphabear 2, you spell words by selecting letters on a puzzle grid. When you use letters that are adjacent to each other, bears appear! The more letters you use, the bigger the bear gets, and the more points you earn. Spelling words cleverly is the key to success!

We vaguely remember playing the first Alphabear. Super cute game.
We tried to pay the $5 for the no ads thing and then we tried the other one for $8 when that first didnt work. Neither of them work! And its charging us $13!! And Apple wont let us request a refund from them >:|.
We like the gameplay and the way you can power up your characters. Our favorite part though is seeing all the different little bears.
So fun, has the right ratio of ads to playtime, we never feel like Ive run out of things to do, perfect game for idle play throughout the day! And the story is so cute and endearing without feeling overbearing (get it overBEARing lol!).
We adore this game! It has so many elements, we can play for hours each day before running out of game areas to play with, especially now that Ive finally broken down and bought the ad-free package. Our one request is that the developers give us some way to sort our bears!!! Its not so helpful to only see them by Rarity type when the Events sort them by their types and levels. Its hard to scroll through 40 bears just to check if your celebrity bears are all upgraded before the event comes. Some kind of sorting mechanism so we can choose the order we view our bears would be great.
This game is pure delight. If you are someone who enjoys Boggle but cant get anyone to play with you (spelling can be a superpower too, but less appreciated than flying or invisibility), this is your game. So much more fun, because bears. And more challenging because the tiles count down per turn, so you have to be careful about 10-letter heroics right off the bat. The goal is simple: use all the tiles on each board. But Paired with events, help-bear leveling, story mode, snappy dialogue? It is a spelling nerds dream. *Made you look. ;).
How is it do good like you have to spell words and then there is. Whole dictionary in the game like whaaaaat.
This game is SOO much fun! Challenging, adorable, and theres many facets of the game like fixing the clocks and sending the bears to bear school. Theres also many ways to earn honey in order to play. No need to spend any money, game is fun and accessible as is.

Its a really good way to pass time, learn new words, and collect little bear dudes. Its actually so fun! We also really love triple town and have been playing it since we were little, its a huge pet of our childhood and still really enjoyable to this day! We definitely suggest this game to any and everyone.

If you Like Letter Scrambles and Square Bears! Spry Fox knows how to make great games. Every game they have made is solid as rock. From very casual (Triple Town) to Cozy RPG (Cozy Grove) they are all great.

This game is really fun and interesting we love the story and its great for kids just starting to learn but here are some ideas First more cloth and add on things should be cheaper or some free items also we think it would be fun to play a certain amount of days and get a gift more bears plz.
This is a great game, but dont try to buy anything! We purchased No Ads- have received only error messages every time we open the game, still have the ads, and have not heard back at all from Support, despite several emails. Am thankful that a refund can be requested through Apple- thank you to another reviewer who pointed that out! The game itself is a lot of fun and this review would be a 5, if not for the absent support.
Played this game when it came out before they had ads. Downloaded it again recently and was so jarred by the constant ads so we happily attempted to purchase ad removal but it would not go through, or now that we're seeing other reviewers complaining of charges going through but no ads being removed we probably had the same thing happen. Tried reaching out to the help desk but no response or solution. So disappointing :(.
Its great wish there were less adds though.
There is so much about this game that we love. The gameplay is great, the options of different objectives to pursue is cool and the drops you get from playing are reasonable. The only downside to us is that we are a passive player and am not high level, so we cant participate in a large number of the special events. Those events sometimes offer cool perks that Im not sure you can get otherwise so it can be disappointing. Just dont forget your newer players.

We used to play this game all the time. It was fun. We opened this game back up recently, and it just shows us a white screen no matter what we do. We have checked for updates constantly, nothing.
Well designed and whimsical but the faq is scant and a little confusing here and there. Nonsensical approach to words as well. Names of some things are acceptable but others are not, but state abbreviations are ok? Its just odd. For example it will not accept Hindi (Indian language) nor rastas. Hello, there can be more than one rasta man etc. Also munchy is in both dictionary.com and collins. ABears dictionary must be fairly limited, and sometimes it doesnt even take the word suggested by a six letter bear. Its fun for a bit and then, as others here have said, it seems more like a wringer kind of game meant to make you spend more money – though we for one will not be spending a dime or watching a multitude of ads. The majority of games available would not require this much of you to advance further in the game. It seems to feed our gaming addiction/useful distraction but simultaneously starves it as well which imo seems to be the psychological twist that begins the wringing process. You also cant pick which bears you want to level up w clocks. It picks them for you even if you selected a particular bear to level up, which kind of defeats a players purpose. Why offer to level individual bears up if the game decides for you anyway.
We were so excited when we remembered this game existed. Our friends and we used to play it together all the time. However when we downloaded it, it is so convoluted and completely different. We are so sad. They should at least bring back the old version as an option to play.
A lot of the features don't work reliably. For instance, some bears are able to "summon" word endings like "ED", "ER", etc. But even when you have more than adequate space for the letters to appears, sometimes only one of them will pop up. There's no way to guess which orientation they'll drop in, so you often end up wasting them. But you still have to upgrade those bears because not having the right "type" will keep you out of earning for special events. We already have the paid version, and we can tell this is all meant to squeeze more out of us. It just won't work. Eventually when it gets frustrating enough, we'll just stop playing.
We would give the game itself 5/5, but support is 0, unfortunately. Definitely dont waste your time trying to buy anything. Each time Ive bought something, the items arent added to our account & we get an error message saying purchase was unsuccessful. When we when we look at our Apple account, we were definitely charged, so then we need to request a refund through Apple. (The only exception to this was the subscription, we did receive those items.) Ive reached out to support several times via in-game contact form as well as direct email, and Ive gotten zero response. Ive played other SpryFox games & the support in those seems to be fine, so we dont understand why theyve apparently abandoned this game but kept it on the App Store. They have a new game on Netflix, so we know the company is still out there, and someones getting paid for subscriptions & failedpurchase attempts, so where is support? As an added bonus, since Ive now attempted & failed to buy items several times, we get the same 5 pop up error messages every single time we open the app, which is a frustrating reminder. Uninstall/reinstall did not clear them. Other than this issue, we love the game. Its beautifully designed, fun, & challenging. The characters are great, we love their special abilities & costumes. We dont understand why SpryFox does not provide support for this game, it really is a shame. We feel like Im emotionally invested in the characters at this point or we would have stopped playing after the first time we emailed support and got no response. :/.
While the game is fun, and we want to give money to the developer for the game, the in-app purchases have not worked since January 2025 and the developers are unresponsive. They do not appear to support this game any longer.
We purchased remove ads but they still come up, and now every time we open the app we get a pop up that says validation error over and over again. We love the game and want to be able to play.
We wanna play the Snapchat version. You know the one. Give the people what they want pls.
When we just wanna vegge out, this game is our go to. We love learning new words and discovering new bears. We used to play Alphabear 1 but we love that you dont have to wait for bears to recharge to use them anymore, and the dictionary makes it so much more educational! Great game for kids too.

It all started with triple town. That obsession came over here to alphabear. One of our fave games, been playing for like 8 years. We cannot wait to buy cozy grove on our switch. Whoever makes these games are geniuses.

Alphabear is so much fun! This game has adorable graphics, different types of gameplay, and you get to learn new words. This game is a win win win.
We played the original. When we stumbled upon Alphabear two, we were so happy. It was like if you suddenly found out there was another star wars movie you forgot to see (the originals, not the new ones). What a joyful blast from the past.
Multitudes of levels – many slight helper bears that you can apply – but you only get 3. Pay the $5 to get no ads.
This is such a fun and challenging game.
Very cute! You can customize your bears and the gameplay is smooth. Getting rid of the ads is pretty cheap and worth it. Once thats done you just play to your hearts content :) Very fun.

For one thing, the graphics in this game are absolutely adorable and so well made! It makes us smile every time! We also love the little story line, and the hidden puns and back to the future references. We also loved the first Alphabear, but this is even better! Our only complaint is the ads, but we wont take off stars for that! Keep making amazing games, Spry Fox! Youre our favorite game-making company, all your games are amazing! Keep being an amazing company.
