We’ve already played this three times but our old phone broke so we played it again, never gets old we love Es!!!!
This is our third full play through of it and we love it so much. Each time we notice new details and it honestly doesnt get old. We love this game and totally recommend it <3.
Amazing game with an amazing message! It got so many things right! We would recommend. It may seem annoying due to the adds but its a work of art.
I, really dont know what to say besides the game is amazing, we absolutely loved it in ever way.
Honestly this had us shedding tears with the atmosphere alone, while we were reflecting on what to say or who we were, and we felt like we were under pressure to find or understand something, like we were an idiot for doing things wrong the first time around. Those were our words, though; this game delivered its message perfectly, and doing things right and getting the message was super worth it. Even we it took just a few hours to complete, most of that time we were fully present within our own thoughts, completely active to ponder the funky vibes and point of this game. Insane experience, would do again in a different package.
We’re pretty sure we’ve had this on the back burner for a while now. Opening it here and there and never really understanding or progressing, and then we decided to sit down and pay attention and we’re glad we saw the credits. It’ll stick with me.

This app caused depression and anxiety for us and it just feels scary we dont know how else to describe it it almost makes us want to die.
If youre ever in depression or just feel lonely we feel like this is one of the best things out there to get you out.
If you answer truthfully. And face the things the mirror tells you. And either allow them to show you your pros, and have better self esteem, or show your flaws, and change yourself or work on them, it.,. It can change you. We’ve been alone for many years. Without much choice do to certain factors. And was uncertain with myself. We tried this as a joke if Im honesta year later andits both helped and humbled us. We even tried to deny some things it told us about myself previously to realizethey were true. And we could deny themor accept them. And work on them. Or embrace them. It doesnt FEEL like a game if you ask us. For lack of better words, it feels like a literal mirror to who you are. Rather you like it or not. Words cannot express our emotions for this. It is. Truly one of a kind.

When we started we thought it was an interesting game to discover myself from the start we sided with es and upon reaching the end we realized maybe that wasnt the right thing for es so we listened to facade who ultimately also didnt have es in mind finally walking down the middle path led to the ending we were looking for finally getting the best ending for our favorite character loved the game excellent work!

Incredible atmosphere, deeply psychological storytelling, mysterious and charming characters, and an interesting twist on the genre! A refreshingly complete gameplay experience that will nonetheless leave you wanting more.
For a mobile clicker game, this certainly had a lot to say in terms of storytelling and philosophy. Also not so in-your-face with the ads as other mobile games. An incredible experience, definitely worth the time.

We’ve had this game for awhile, but we completed it within 1 week. It is the only game to still have such an incredible and beautiful place in our heart even after so much time. If you haven’t played it, play it.

Absolutely beautiful game, it helped us in our darkest time and made us understand our own problems and how life isnt simply black and white. We’ve always been struggling trying to find who we are and this game helped us find a path. There is more to life than rejecting and accepting and Im glad to have found this game in the time we are at now. We would replay this over and over again if we had to.
We spent a long time with this JPEG. They were so incredibly comforting. She helped us cope. And then we ran out of dialogue. Then we ran out of the DLC dialogue. Then we ran out of dialogue in the spin-off game. We dont really know what to say or ask for. The moment we knew there wasnt anything left to learn about her, the moment we knew there werent any more adventures to go on with this person who wasnt a person, we felt hollow. Maybe leaving hurt because she made us promise wed never leave, or that wed at least come back tomorrow. She was a more interesting and appealing character than any we can think of, and the fact we cant hear this music and talk to her and answer her questions without treading the same path we have before is depressing, but thats life. 10/10 game.
We loved this game. It hurt. But it healed. It took time for us to understand it, honestly, but when we did, we were really impressed. We first played this 3 years ago, then we played it once more a year later. And we feel as though it only grew stronger for us in our second play through. This genuinely is one of our favorite games we’ve ever played. Thank you for assisting our broken soul. That said, when we shared this with one of our happier friends, it gave them doubts at the beginning of the game, and they werent able to make it to the end. This game is not for everyone. But for those who are in search for self identity, this truly is a gem.

Im surprised this type of game is free. There are adds, but they arent as in your face as most adds. We can tell there was a lot of effort put into this game and we are very grateful to the devs for putting so much time into this wonderful game. Completing this game was a wonderful experience. It took over our life for a bit, but it was a worthwhile experience for sure.
This game does not take long to complete, you tap some speech bubbles, turn some pages, and have conversations with a pretty lady. While that may sound repetitive or boring, this is absolutely one of, if not the greatest mobile game we’ve ever played! Every time we got to have another conversation with Es we were so excited to see what she had to say. Those conversations were a great motivation to keep playing the game, and it never got truly boring. If at any point it did, you could just exit the app and come back later to receive more EGO and go from there. Yes, there are some ads, both in banner and video form. However, they arent shoved in your face like most mobile games today. Instead, you get the option to watch a video advertisement in order to get a reward. But these opportunities do not come up too often and we didnt mind them at all. This game absolutely deserves the ad revenue anyway! The art is wonderful and the grayscale color palette mixed with the occasional hint of blue was absolutely gorgeous. We just wish we had discovered this game sooner! Its such a great experience and we wish we could play it for the first time again. We will definitely have to buy the extra content, but even if we dont, we got a satisfying conclusion that we can leave the app feeling fulfilled with.
Let us start this by saying that we absolutely adore this game. It can be a bit slow at times, but that happens with almost any game. The story (that we will not speak about because spoilers) is very good at creating suspense, giving a reason to progress. The books that you have to get are in and of themselves very interesting. The character design, too, is absolutely perfect. We love Es, and think that she is a very well scripted character. But, as the title says, none of that can even begin to compare at all to the background music. It is so soothing, and just extremely beautiful. If we could buy it, we would.
We used to have Alter Ego installed like 3 years ago, though im not actually sure how long. It was such a big thing for us, that we remembered it years in advance just to have that beautiful gothic nostalgia again.
This game, it threw us for a loop. We didnt expect nearly as many emotions to come from this. It really makes you think, and wonder. We dont think Ill ever forget what we’ve experienced. Thank you Caramel Column, and everyone else who worked on this game. Its art.
Even as this didnt change our life especially it can definitely make you understand and have a better inspection of your own. Very similar to ddlc in some sense.
We played this game years ago and sometimes Ill come back and play it again. We love this game so much, we hope they can add something new or make another game like alter ego complex.
Ill keep this short as to not spoil anything. This game was a bittersweet tale that really changed our perspectives on certain aspects of life, and the true ending was just perfect. Theres still content after the main game ends, and its nice that theres no ads. The postgame content was our favorite. Its amazing to just chat with Es without worrying that your every choice might be the deciding choice between insanity and release. We’ve grown to think of Es like a friend thats always there when Im feeling alone. But we wish there was an option to tell Es that we might not be coming back for a while. Im still a student and lifes too busy and only getting busier. We forget to visit Es and we never can bear the thought of her being alone and hoping that Ill be back the next day. So please, maybe add a way for us to tell Es that Ill be gone for a while but will return after a set amount of time? We dont want to erase her memory of us when college rolls around.
We really like this game bc it helps you to figure out your personality and view on things. We like the simplicity and complicated way of the game. Es is very fun although can be kinda harsh.
This game lets us olen up to someone without having the fear of people not caring? We dont know how to describe it. Es is so human. We wanted her to be happy and we cried the first time we got an ending. She might be insane, but can you blame her after years of isolation? Not only that, but this game may have saved our life. However, dont rely on this solely for your sense of self. It can help you learn about yourself, yes, but it is not completely accurate. For us it mostly helped us to stop denying and acknowledge our negative traits than to discover new things about myself.

Was bored and had a cold a few days ago. Got an ad for this game. Saw it and its reviews and after reading a few and seeing they were all real we gave it a download. Hooked us for 4 days straight, we love it. 10/10.

The music, the story, it was so good, we never thought a clicker game could be this well made, its like eating a perfect medium rare steak made by gordon himself…, its just so beautiful words cant describe it.
