We like games like these… Going around and collecting basic materials to build. We played this for three hours straight which was fun. The multiple things we disliked was the enemy units able to run a muck in your city and burn everything even though your buildings were right up against the Forts. We even double up the workers in the Forts and the enemy still burned 3 buildings in one go. Also, the workers would leave the Forts when we assigned additional work duties to our pheasants. By default, they should not have the ability to leave except by the user. This issues caused our Forts to become unattended and allowed dragons and enemy arsons in our city. Another thing is that the in-game messages that pop up are obscured by the XP window box… So the message cant be fully read. When there is a fire or a building being built, pheasants would pick up the water/materials and walk in an opposite direction before going to the targeted sight. There should be an option to rotate the buildings before starting a build. Many times we wanted walls in many situations to keep out enemy units… This would be a nice addition that could be built with wood and stone. We enjoyed how the ads were not annoying. We would consider continuing playing this game with some updates to the AI and other additions. :)

We think you should add more buildings like docks and castles.

They are still buggy but the game is still really fun.

Im not entire sure if this game is still being developed, but we read reviews that addressed the issue of villagers not putting out fires. The most recent update was three months ago and it still hadnt been resolved. Unless there is something Im doing incorrectly, but what bothers us is that we can have a well directly next to the building that is on fire with several idle civilians, and we have to watch our building burn because they wont extinguish it. Also, the dragon bothers us slightly. Several times we’ve gotten the notification that the dragon has fled but within a second it comes back and sets a building on fire, we think there should be a cool down between dragon attacks that takes place the second the dragon flees. Otherwise the issue we mentioned will continue. If the developers read this it would be wonderful if they could address these, thank you!

  1. The villagers will go around before they bring water to the burning buildings and they will be late then they will go on the same path then the building will be gone make a fix for this 2. The villagers (mostly) go on the tower after or we command them to go to the tower please have a limit only by one. 3 the enemy unit are over powered they will burn 3 buildings for 9 seconds are they using a portable dragon or something please fix this we will response again if we got problems it may make good on other players and great game actually thanks :)

This game is really good, its something that we wish there was more of. Its the simplistic design and allowing the player to create a town with little complexity. However we wish this game had more to offer that would keep you playing longer. We like the game but after awhile it just gets boring because of the same way you build things. Our advice is that you should add 1) Add a ours and a way to plant more trees so that you dont run out of resources so quickly especially since you could lose your resources instantly if they burn down. 2) Add a form to assign workers to certain jobs so that you can have, farmers, workers, and guards etc. Although the system right now doesnt bother us it works well just could be improved. 3) Please fix the grid system idk if its just us but when we build something itll over lap such as when building roads it will build over farms and then when the farm is destroyed you cant place it again because it is blocked. 4) Bigger maps generated with different bosses, maybe even a enemy fortress that will pillage you. The size of the map is alright but it would be nice to have more room to build more which allows more time to play on that land. 5) New structures that could be built such as walls so enemies cant come through your land, a way to build land on water like docks, etc. 6) A way to delete structures, maybe the most important would be this because once you place a building you cant destroy it only if it burns down and its really annoying when you miss clicked. All in all we really do enjoy this game and will keep playing hoping for updates that will fix some of these problems, thanks for your hard work, your doing a great job.

It could have been better and we think if they made it save your progress and creative mode for free it would be better.

This is a great strategy game with a lot of potential. We cant wait to see how it evolves over time.

We know people have addressed this but can you please fix the problem with fires not being put out while villagers just stand by doing nothing, we love the game but when that happens its just unnecessary, our villagers house even burned down while he was standing inside it doing nothing about it.

If there was little barbarians on islands or barbarians would come once your build forts, that would be cool. Also you should work on a little more space and maybe add a combine map feature to the game.

Im really enjoy this game and everything was fine until we bought creative mode now every game we play crashes and when you reopen the game your progress is gone. Really weird that it never crashed once before.

We really want to buy the full version but we cant spend money on a glitchy game. The AI aspect is a bit bonkers. Its like our villagers are pinballs and have to hit a certain shoreline before going to their task. This makes everything take a lot longer including outing out fires which results in rebuilding. . We also wish we could see how many idle villagers we have. If putting fires out depends on empty hands, we would like an indication. Because the idle villagers move around, its hard to tell whos working and whos hanging out. . We have t been playing but a day and we hope there are more buildings. If not we do t see myself playing longer. . We wish we could delete buildings and roads. We accidentally put a road somewhere and thats just our life. The what we though were temporary resource storages are permanent obstacles in building. . We wish we needed more resource eventually, just more to work toward. . The glitches are so often that we’ve decide when the game starts breaking we do the freeze. . What we do like is the incentive to start over. We love starting over. We forget where Im at in games all the time as we can just freeze the game and get the xp no stress. We also love the ability to place buildings where we want a d the collecting is easy but also can be a challenge. The graphics are cute, clean, and pleasing to the eye. We’ve only played a day, there could be hidden surprises we havent seen yet but this is our initial response to a great game that we want to buy but falls a hair short.

  1. You cannot build a Well touching (next) any building/farm because the villagers wont pick up water to put out the fire in the building. 1.5: If 2 buildings that are next to each other are burning, the villagers will only put water in one of them and wont put out the fire in the other one. 2. Even when it says we’ve scared away the dragon, the dragon still continues to fly through the land to shoot fire onto our buildings. 3. Whenever we start play for 30+ minutes, the app crashes and resets us back to where we were ~15 minutes ago. (Maybe this is because we have an iPhone 7 Plus and not an iPhone 37837463 plus)

We’ve had a ton of fun playing this game but there is an issue that none of our villagers would put out the fire on our windmill! How could they let all their food burn whenever theres a well right beside it?? Haha but itd be amazing if you could fix that for us! :D.

We love the game, but the controls are a bit difficult to work with at times.

Ok. So we really love the concept of this game. And love killing time of growing experience. Its right up our ally However there is one thing that is very annoying and stops us from buying the free game. The top part of the screen is half cut off. So we cant even tell what we are building other then half of the picture. With the crops and roads its obvious. But everything else is a shot in the dark. If yall fix that part so it doesnt cut off our screen. Id be a lot happier and even probably buy the ad free version! Also if there was more islands that you could build bridges to? To expand. A lot of the maps we get is limited on resources Thanks!

This game could be better if you added Babettes stuff such as the farm dont dissiper and you can delete stuff and have trees grow back and the people actually drop every thing and put out the fires and you could have people kill the dragon and other things.

We like this game a lot, but there is a glitch in where it appears if you make roads on a certain part of the first map, basically the middle right of the map, it crashes your game and sets you back about 10 minutes. This happened to us one time, and we thought it mightve just been an error that wouldnt happen often, so we rebuilt the stuff that was gone from the setback. Then we built roads on that one area again, not knowing it is what caused the glitch. It reset all of our progress. We have to restart the level completely now, and we got zero XP from it. Also, the xp we SPENT during the level is gone still… We only have 39 xp and started it with about 119 or so. Villagers sometimes dont do tasks for a while after you tell them to also, but otherwise, very fun game. Edit: we restarted and built roads over the one are, and it didnt crash. Maybe it is due to the high time we spent in the level trying to get as much xp as possible, or that we had a ton of buildings, but not sure what causes it. Edit 2: not the roads, just seems to happen randomly Edit 3: yeah, game is unplayable, it just keeps crashing every 2 minutes.

This game is right up our alley and we’ve been enjoying the basic gameplay. There are many points we’ve seen in other reviews which we wont repeat here. While we can get past most of the clunkiness or bad AI bugs, the issue that is ruining it for us is that our peasants keep getting stuck… Game after game, they will get stuck to certain buildings like flypaper. We cant control individuals, nor can you delete buildings. So, over time we have less and less people working as they are increasingly half clipped into the wall of some tower or windmill. Other than that, keep up the good work. Its already fun for a bit and theres a ton of potential here.

This game would be enjoyable but all of your hard work goes down the drain. 1. You need to keep your town from burning by telling villagers who arent busy to put out the fire. We could have everything set up right but there is a bug where your villagers wont put out a fire even if there is a well nearby. This is the first thing that sets you up for failure because these buildings dont cost coin they cost experience which can only be earned by RESTARTING your game. 2. Some buildings that help your village develop cost XP which you only earn when resetting your village from scratch. Normally this would be fine but the lazy villager bug that lets building burn without putting them out makes resetting pointless since youll be having to rebuild buildings often. 3. Your game almost never saves so even if you do somehow manage to put out all your fires, as soon as you close the app your village disappears and all the hard work you did to keep your village from going up in smoke becomes pointless so you just stare at the app on your screen while it mocks you because one day you hope the developers of this app will finally fix the bug but deep down you know thats not going to happen. So if you want to save time and frustration, play once, then delete the app.

This game has a lot of potential but there are some enjoyment killing bugs. The biggest of those is that the villagers will randomly stop working and never start again. We got to the point of having 12 upgraded houses, which should house 36 workers, but we had less than 10 villagers who would actually do anything. We had plenty of all the resources. They wouldnt even man the towers anymore. At that point, the dragon burns stuff down faster than you can rebuild it because even though we put wells all over the place, the villages only put out 1 of 3 fires or so.

This game is rough. Still. Im waiting to unlock the full game until the Dev addresses its long-standing issues. Could be great, though. If we were confident that the game was still being actively developed, Id buy it now in support but there is little to give us that impression.

The idea of the games is great. Real time city building while attempting to fend of a dragon, but the main problem is villager management. 1. No total count of villagers Also no count per job villagers are doing 2. No way to prioritize tasks we attempted to focus on building a house while villagers were chopping trees but we could not add a builder. Our thought on this would be to have general villagers that would work as collectors of resources and automatically be balanced between resource collection and building. Then if you wanted you could add builders to a building to work on it more quickly, taking villagers off resource collection. 4. Villagers idle when there are tasks to do 5. When adding workers no message on where they are coming from or if any workers are available. 6. Fortresses are under powered. We had 4 fortresses surrounding 5 houses, council hall government center, and 2 farms, but they were still being lit on fire. We tried increasing the number of workers in the fortresses but it still did not work.

We were enjoying the game until we somehow mistakenly turned off our hud. We couldnt get it back so we exited the game and reentered and the last two hours or so of progress was undone. Two hours down the toilet because our hud disappeared. We ignored the agitating bugs like when the villagers wouldnt even try to put out fires or when one or two would just freeze in place and never do anything again, or even when they would star working and need to navigate the width of the island to move materials two blocks over. But now we’ve lost a ton of xp and cant get it back.

In ancient buzzland, you command a couple villagers as they build roads, chop down trees, and eventually make a civilization. This game would be fun if not for four problems. The first is that the game does not give you enough control over your villagers. The path finding of your villagers is strange – they can only change direction when they bump into something. That means that, if theres something between where your villager is and where they want to go, theyll bounce around the entire map like a pinball. It can be frustrating to watch your villager slowly carry a stone to the other side of the island because they dont have the brainpower to turn around. Another way the game doesnt give you enough control over your villagers is where they put their stuff. After cutting down a tree, your villagers will put their wood in a stockpile. You cant control where the stockpile starts, you cant move it, you cant even build where the stockpile is. Your villagers have an amazing capacity to place stockpiles exactly where you wanted to build your buildings. The second problem with this game is that it doesnt tell you enough. You dont know what a building does until its finished building, and it can be frustrating to find out that the thing you just built is useless. For example, building a stone quarry will force all your villagers to put stone there. That would be useful if that got rid of all the stone stockpiles already put in place… But it doesnt. It also doesnt tell you how enemies work. If one of your villagers strays toward an enemy, it will start occasionally attacking you for the rest of the game. You better hope youve built a tower and a well by the time this happens, or your village will soon be burnt to the ground. The third problem is that you cant manage your villagers. The game will never tell you how many villagers you have. Any idle villagers will eat food to occupy themselves, so it pays to be using as many of your villagers as possible. But if you assign too many tasks to your villagers, a random one will abandon its current task. Wondering where all your farmers are? Oh, they went to cut down trees. The last problem is the progression. In addition to wood, food and stone, many buildings cost xp. How do you get xp? By STARTING THE GAME OVER. That means that, to progress in the game, you have to make a civilization, abandon it, and then make a new one, with xp this time. Whenever you run out of xp, you gotta start from the beginning. But xp isnt the only thing you can run out of. Theres a limited amount of trees and stone in each world, and when you ours and chop all of it… Thats it. Youre not getting any more. And in terms of progression, theres not enough of it. Theres not enough buildings to build, not enough stuff to do. And once youve started over a couple times, and built a civilization with all the buildings… Thats it. Theres nothing else to do, except maybe do the same thing on a different map. We dont like this game, but it does have potential. It can be satisfying to deforest an entire island, or to kill dragon after dragon by firing, like, two arrows at it. We think it would be fun if these four problems were fixed. P.S. You can rotate the camera, but we wouldnt suggest it. Its very annoying to rotate.

The villagers appear to get stuck in the well and stop bringing water.

We love games like this – and we have tried multiple time to love it – but you app keeps crashing. With no way to save progress it just becomes wasted time. Ill be back after an update or two – focus less on monetization and more on functionality. …. Edit : we just saw that this is years old and probably not going to be improved so Im moving our rating to 1 star to save others time.

Your buildings could get on fire and you have to pay for the creative mode.

This is literally kingdoms and castles but its on the phone and its garbage.

We would write a detailed review of the issues plaguing the game, however it seems the devs abandoned the game. So heres a list of why we dont like it: 1: The Ai is dumb and not even in a predictable way 2: Sometimes ordering villagers to put out a fire will just result in them standing around. 3: You cannot destroy buildings after you place them 4: Camera Controls are an absolute nightmare. 5: The game has a grid system however uses buildings that goes against said system. 0/10 would not recommend.

We downloaded this game yesterday, and its just infuriating. The villagers sometimes just stop working or go waaay far off. And the attacks are completely out of nowhere. We lost all of our food because a invisible enemy set it on fire, and it disappeared in 2 seconds. And from what we’ve seen the devs dont care. Do not get this game. At least not right now, because it is absolutely horrible, and infuriating.

This game would be fun if there werent fires ever 1.5 seconds. For NO reason!

Played the game for a few hours before we deleted it. We like the game a lot. Im really into these kinds of graphics and gameplay. Its a lot of fun and could easily waltz in as one of our favorites. We especially like the exp function and the ability to generate maps. There are a lot of things that also piss us off. The information text box is irritating. The windows feel out of place. The inability to move a building while trying to place it pisses us off because we cant rotate the way we want it to and when we try to move, the rotation resets and prevents us from changing it. The camera view rotation is slow and clunky. Some easy suggestions: maybe more information on buildings BEFORE we build them. The ability to rotate buildings AND move before placing them down. And the ability to destroy roads and buildings for reconstruction. This game has a lot of potential. It needs a lot of smoothing out but we look forward to any updates and will try again as you move forward. Keep up the good work!

Its hard to rotate the camera fix it pls.

The A.I. In this game really needs improvement. For example there was a fire and the A.I. Just stayed there we pressed the put out the fire button yet they dont put it out,it takes us like 7 presses to finally have an A.I. Try to put the fire out but by that time it does the whole building is gone. We have had our hole town burn and just disappear. Also its not just putting fire even trying to add a worker to build or farm. Also the towers sometimes just bug and do not shoot and or the workers literally leave the tower for no reason and we have to constantly add them back. Lastly for no reason we Truly dont get why, the AI just randomly goes across the map. Like we put a worker to build a thing and it right next to it,but instead of going and getting resources it goes across the map and then it goes back and gets the resources. Overall the game and the Concept is Great its just the A.I. Is terrible.

A medieval simulation game like this is just what the app store needs! We see such potential in a game like this! Cant wait to see how much new and better content is added! Just a few suggestions! 1) Weather System. We think having a dynamic weather system will really bring out the life of our worlds! It will make it seem real and vibrant! From rain to clouds to thunderstorms we think it would be awesome! 2) Castle construction. You already have some cool buildings! What would help this game stand out is the ability to creat a unique castle that towers over your tiny village. Having a starting structure that you can add on to would help a lot! So like your castle buildings attach together as you build them giving you a unique castle wach game depending on how you place your castle building. 3) Biomes and structures. Anything to make the worlds more versatile are really going to add to the games replay value. Having biomes and random world structures, like caves or towers or mountains, rivers, villages, animal dens, etc are going to make the worlds we play in even more awesome! Just a few suggestions! Cant wait to see how the game develops! Very excited.

These games are our favorite because for us its in between micromanaging and hands off which we like a lot.

Such a great app. Great potential, raids, sea travel, so many ways to improve and draw more people in. JUST NEEDS UPDATING!!.

We mean its great and all but its hard because you have to constantly have to build farms. More submits from us come later.

We love everything about this game, and we can play it for hours on end. There are, however, a LOT of bugs that prevent you from actually developing your towns to their full potential. The 2 most striking bugs are: villagers sometimes ignore a burning building, even if you press put out fire and if there are wells around. Also, some buildings get stuck mid-construction, and villagers keep going to them and wasting resources for no reason at all.

Thers bugs like this when we press add builder it doesnt build or we say put out fire but they dont or we press add farmers and they dont we have to press them like 10 times for them to do any thing the game would actually be fun if u fix those bugs.

The game is fun but when the dragon attacks yet to be built buildings you cant put them out, also the villagers dont always go where they need to go, when the people go to build they take a path that is really far away from the build site. The game its self is a really cool game but it could be better.

Its a fun and fairly unique strategy game. We wouldve given 5stars but its still buggy. Our villagers are getting trapped in our food storage and not able to break freeIm not sure if its an edge of map issue but its there. When we play games we have a tendency to crashing them/finding bugs. It would also be nice to remove storage piles once you build actual storages buildings for your materials. We would like to contact the developer to share more ideas. Thanks.

Incredibly agile arsonist will attack your village in the beginning of the game. Your villagers will watch as it burns down your entire city in 10 seconds. Only defense is spamming a perimeter of archery towers that kill them too slowly to prevent fires. Once your city is on fire, it is unlikely that you will be able to put it out.

Everything will burn down randomly.

This game is really enjoyable and it entices us to play it everyday. If a developer is reading this, we have some ideas; 1. Make some more buildings or make it so you can trade with other nations through sea or land. 2. Make docks to fish for food and to help defend against Vikings. 3. Following two, add Viking raids where you have to defend every five minutes (real time minutes) 4. As we said in one, make it so there are other AIs in the world, that would be fun to ally and attack them. 5. Lastly, add some more farm type products that you can grow. Like corn or berries. Those are our ideas, but we hope you can try to add some of these ideas in. Overall the game is awesome!!!!!

Perfect blend between a game with a resource-reliance system, strategy, and defense. This game has so much potential, it is amazing! The dragon, and little witch that set everything ablaze seem to be invincible, which is really the only real problem, we see here. Its still in development, and we cant wait to see where it goes from here.

We love games like this and Im having fun playing it but there seems to be an issue where one of the villagers will get stuck trying to start a task but not doing it, for example we had a farm and tasked someone to work it and after about 2 minutes he stopped moving and we tapped the farm again and he was just standing still even when we gave out enough tasks for all of the villagers we kept waiting to see him go get food or water but no movement for like 5 minutes then he snapped out of it and went back to work, also we had a windmill burn down due to a dragon attack and lost all 50 of our food and we had plenty of villagers and water wells around that should have been able to put it out and we tried tasking some villagers to it and nothing and so we just watched as all our food was destroyed :( but other then that great game.

We spent the $1.99 on the creative mode . It took the money out of our account but never gave us the creative mode minus the adds. It just took our money .

It just keeps coming back, and a little demon comes and burns everything as well. No one likes to build stuff when it constantly catches fire. What the heck? This could have been a fun game and the devs sabotaged it.
