Point and click Quest game refers to a type of adventure game, in which the user interacts mainly with the mouse or any pointing device (be it a finger on mobile phones) to proceed and move in the quest and journey.
All the game is built around interactions with items of the world.

Most parts of the game design phase are to liberally use these possibilities, to make the player find solutions to problems. Resolving them will make the adventure continue. In a sense, point and click Quest game is similar to puzzle games.

Find out what gamers are saying about AntVentor: Puzzle Adventure:

So we loved this but it’s been a year.. Where is part 2?

Im totally ready for the next one! Amazing graphics and challenging.

So far its crazy boring and dry.

Crashes towards the end dont want to say spoilers but it is unplayable towards the end.

We BOUGHT THIS GAME AND WAS REALLY FRUSTRATED WITH THE GLITCHES AND MALFUNCTIONS THAT CAUSED ME NOT TO BE ABLE CONTINUE AND FINISH THE GAME!

Love this game! The realistic background, the difficulty of the puzzles, the characters and their expressions; we really love everything! There is one major problem: Im on an iPad Pro but the game shuts down completely after the short scene plays with birds falling out of the tree. Every. Time. Im lucky it saves the game at the point AntVentor cuts the string but it happens each time. We cant move forward thats why it gets 1 star. We will definitely change our rating if we can continue the game.

This is like the fifth game we bought that they said ‘oh don’t worry will have an ending’ or ‘a sequel’and none of them have produced anything. Hopefully you come up with and soon since it’s been four years!

A little hard at 1st but really fun.

Its really hard to see some of the inventory items on a phone screen. Biggest question so far is when he falls out of the tree, the game shuts down. Is he dead, or is that a glitch?? UPDATE: we deleted the game, and downloaded it again. Now it crashes at any scene change. Oddly, we think its just too glitchy for our iPhone 8. Time for a refund.

Every time we get to the crow in its nest that guarding an earring… Game just crashing and we have to open it again. We’ve got IPhone 11… Any updates coming sometime soon?

Clever. Engaging. Different. This is the kind of game where the fun is over way too soon. Very creative — even without the play, this is entertaining. This world is inhabited by curiously funny little creatures … With opinions. The ant mutters, "duh", if you repeat your mistakes. We laughed. Haven’t been critiqued like in a very long time. The plays flows smoothly, the controls and design work, music is good and art is delightful. It’s totally worth the price. We wish chapter two was available, now.

Really love this game! Smart, funny, and just the right amount of challenge. Cant wait to see and play the next adventure.

This little game was so much fun! We admit, a few of the puzzles were kind of confusing but the hint system is great and we were able to finish the game. We loved the graphics and the sound effects. The cute characters were so neat and we loved the interaction between them. The pug dog caterpillar was our favorite part. He was adorable. We learned from the credits that the pug is part of the development team and is named Sherlock. If you are looking for something to do during this quarantine, definitely give this game a try. Its worth every penny!!!!

Great game but the people an update.

This is such a nice game would like to play but the app that we downloaded we can not get the branch from the first tree please fix wont allow us to get branch from spiderweb.

Normally really enjoy these kinds of point and click adventure games and immediately fell in love with this little ant, but the found this game to be really frustrating. Graphics are beautiful but the puzzles didnt make any sense at all to us. Ended up just quitting and deleting it.

We tried to play the game, but couldnt figure it out. Some of the objects were so tiny that we couldnt even figure out what they were. It didnt help that the scenery is very dark, making it almost impossible to see what we were doing. Gameplay eventually devolved into clicking on random stuff in random sequences to hopefully make progress, without a clue what we were doing. Finally in frustration, we gave up and uninstalled the game.

Theres a lot to like here. Its charming, the visuals are great, someone clearly loves games and put a ton of thought into it. But… Its tedious. Its the things you like least from Samarost: the walking around, the lack of clear direction. Youre going to have to rely heavily on the hint system, which has a waiting period each time and the hints are obscure sometimes. Im having trouble getting through it, and Im a diehard point and click gamer who really wants to appreciate this project. It truly is clever, and a lot of effort went into it. There are no real puzzles, its all try to use things on things and then check if the hint timer is done. But thats okay; Machinarium and Samarost both have a lot of this. But they also have better hint systems, or at least, clearer hints. Im going to keep playing. Im not sorry we bought it, and we promise Ill revise this review when we get to the next chapter. We will add, we havent experienced any actual bugs, and Im on an iPhone 6. None of the control issues or crashes anyone else has reported, its been absolutely fine technically. In retrospect, Im moving it from three to four stars, because we can see what the developers were going for. They havent quite got there in the first chapter, but we have high hopes for the next. And we want to encourage that, we think we will see great things from them in the future.

Despite App Store indicating it will work on our phone, and description saying it does on 5S… It does not. Waste of money App Store wont provide refund. Developer claims description states it doesnt work with 5S – that is true now, but not when we bought it. We have a screenshot of description before before they deceptively changed it upon reply to our comment.

Antventer is one of those little unexpected gems that just dont come along often enough. The little ant inventor is one of the most adorable and lovable protagonist. Special attention is paid to the artwork, the story and even the hint system. Hints advance as the player does and never give out big spoilers. Its a bit short but with a promise to return with more adventures for our new little friend. Thank you devs for a charming story and we can hardly wait for more fun!

Bad puzzles. Spent the first part of the game waiting for the clues to unlock. Finally go to a point that we just had no interest in this game anymore. Graphics are amazing but overall waste of money.

Game has well-made art, frustrating gameplay, and bad puzzles. Good puzzles in adventure games feel satisfying to solve because the player is being rewarded for picking up on some twisted logic that has been established within the world of the game. In this game, solving a puzzle is more like huh, we guess we were supposed to put the chair under the heavy machine that the game tells us we cant even lift or huh, we guess ants in this world are really turned on by human women that sort of reminds us of old cartoons so we guess its technically joke-adjacent. Yay? Three stars for (wasted) effort. (Edit: heres a tiny violin for the devs on here trolling for sympathy points because they forgot to make their game fun )

We are a long time fan of point and click adventure games. This one was a joy to play! It had great clues when stuck. All puzzles made sense and played a key role in the next step. There were no glitches. Most of all the graphics were BEAUTIFUL! We enjoyed Antventor, and look forward to the next chapter!

The ant wont seem to fall asleep long enough for us to scoop the dirt. Am we missing something here?

We have downloaded, deleted, rebooted, reloaded this app and all we get is a blank screen when we hit the icon. We have an iPad Air running iOS 11.4.1; 13.3 GB of 16 GB used. What am we missing here, please? We really want to play this!

Lets talk improvements, we hope there are better hints because most items doesnt correlate to know which to combine. The pocket items keep on closing, should open it all the time if chosen. There are times, we guessed correctly to use an item but the drop point is too narrow for input, make it bigger please. We like the game and its art. 5.

We’ve went through the YouTube and everything where the spoon supposed to pick up the dirts while the guard ant is distracted away from the lady pic but nothing get picked up! We tried for over an hour before we finally gave up!! Badly tested game issued by developer Jesus.

But isnt like want to throw your phone difficult – youll get ah-ha moments and and the animation is so freaking good – great user experience except for one small thing: when you go to swipe an object from the satchel, we keep swiping our iPhone top drawer that plops down. Also itd be kinda cool if when you tapped the satchel it stayed open until you tried all the items you wanted to try then you could click it to close it back up.

Graphics are top notch but bugs are stopping us from moving forward for example the web youre suppose to get from the spiderweb cant get it to move forward.

Really want to play this game, just getting a black screen! Bummer. Need a refund.

It needs more instructions at the start of the game as we just dont understand what we are supposed to do or what the objective is.

We want to love this game but cant. You can tell this game was not adequately play tested before releasing it for iOS. The drag and drop method for trying to use objects in the environment is completely broken and frustrating to use. For instance, when using the spoon to pick up a pile of sawdust to make the couch. You cant tell where to drop it for the action to work. We’ve repeatedly attempted to perform the action without results (yes even on the unguarded pile at the bottom of the ladder).

Funny, cute, clever…. But VERY short! This is the first chapter with more coming. Even as a first chapter, we thought it was too short but the puzzles are challenging enough.

We already have this on our Mac but we bought it again – something we have NEVER done -just to see how pretty it would look on our iPad. This is just a complete charmer.

We love, love love this game! We dont know why we dont see ANY reviews!! So what do we love about it.. Awesome scenery, (so realistic), quite a challenge to complete (nice hints though), very creative & you only pay once!! So worth it to us especially for how much thought must have went into this game. Really makes you think & problem solve, which we really appreciate!

Was fun to play and not too complicated. Controls were easy to use and the ant provides many clues. Graphics were wonderful. Our only ding is that for $1.99 it seems a little sort. The developer says at the end of this the first chapter that they are working on the next chapter but it wasnt clear if was going to be a version update or and additional charge.

We loved this!! Such a tease!! We cant wait for the next chapter, hopefully it will have much longer gameplay? Keep us coming guys!!

We were so mesmerized by all the awesome graphics! It’s very clear to see how much work went into this game. It was just hard enough to make us work for the answers, yet not get overly frustrated. Even if we got stuck, hints were readily available. We are really looking forward to the next chapter!!

We wanted to enjoy this game but sadly we do not. Its way too complicated, we have to constantly refer to walkthroughs for help. It is a very beautiful game though, for that, two stars. Otherwise, we are not fan.

Reinstalled several times, but still wont load.

Im usually pretty good at puzzle games, but couldnt figure out what youre supposed to do. Accidentally picked some things up, but then couldnt get them to go anywhere else. Saw some highlighted circles, but other than guessing he wants to travel, all we could get to happen was he walked around his little space… Reviews were so good, we were looking for something fun not frustrating.

We cant progress past the part where the aunt is supposed to pick up dirt with the spoon near the century. It will not work no matter what we try we’ve wasted a lot of time. Cant progress.

Its just bad the art style is amazing and it lets us do nothing. We want a refund.
