The vast characters, the weapons, armor, and such Strategy by the step.
We dont know if our review matters at this point since the game has been around for a while. Great turn based game at a good price for all the content and no adds. We will play more from them in the future.
We might get a iPad for a bigger screen so we can play this game on it! We love this game its so fun we bought all the stuff in the game because its really affordable! Good job NEX.
This game really hits the spot for playing a tabletop, turn based game not unlike the recent and very popular Demeo. If you enjoy Demeo, theres a good chance you will enjoy this game. This might be one of those little known gems that falls under the radar..at least on iOS. Probably because there just isnt a lot of information or advertising. It was created by an independent developer, and their creative efforts dont always get the attention they deserve, and thats too bad, because this game is so fun. It needs more support. More frequent updates. To us, we normally feel very hesitant to invest time or money in a game that appears to not have any hint at maintenance or plans on improving the game down the road. We would gladly pay more if we knew there was a goal of keeping this game active and fresh. Maybe a kickstarter could give this game a place in the ecosystem of other great games.
This series is amazing! Cant wait for Arcane Quest 4,5,6,7.
Incredibly well done. Style of play is perfect. Love everything based on movement and numbers. Cant wait for then next version. Spoiled, cant find anything to compare to it.
We like this game.thats all we got lol.
This is a solid game, and probably a lot of work to create. Good job.
Very well made, lots of fun, with just the right balance between too easy and challenging. The in app purchases are inexpensive and more than reasonable unlike many of the greedy cash cow games out there. It has an old school dungeon and dragons flavor to it but with modern graphics. The only thing we might improve would to be the ability too zoom in a little more for us old guys eyes who are playing on a small phone. Other than that kudos to yall.
A step up from the already fun arcane quest 2. Not an automatic game like so many out there where you are essentially pressing the next button over and over, this requires thought and strategy. And it looks pretty! It would be extra awesome if the character picture and tabletop view of the character all changed and matched with equipment, but still great without that.
We have been looking for a game on our phone that plays like D&D. For the most part this game fills that need. Easy to figure out, an appropriate level of difficulty and flexibility, we like that you can control each character so we can make the spells and abilities work with each other. It is well worth it to spend the little money for the full version. A+ game in our book.
Im a big fan of the arcane franchise. These guys are true blue gamers and know how to design fun games. Congrats on another fun game! Our ONLY complaint is that the game gets way too easy around level 9. From that point on, we almost never got hit by any enemies. Suggest the makers increase the attack level of enemies dramatically.
If youre a fan of TTRPGS youre going to love this game. Dice based mechanics, lots of equipment management as well as character leveling. Lots of playable classes, including a couple summoners behind very reasonable pay walls. Give it a try.
We want to really love this game. And we almost do. If we were to nitpick… There should be more guidance thats at least available. The conjured npcs should be able to act on their own if the player prefers. It would be a nice bonus if, when you chose to leave a level, it warned you that you missed something. And as far as we can tell, there can sometimes be a locked chest with no key on that level. That said, we like the controls, the graphics, and the classes. We like that its not annoyingly difficult, like too many other games are. And the price for the full version is wonderfully low. Its weird that its so hard to find an enjoyable RPG.
Reminds us of the old board games!! Ive played a wide variety of rpgs from the App Store and this one is very solid. Well done.
This is a great little game. We enjoyed the free version enough that we bought the full game. Our only disappointmentand why we did not award 5 starsis the lack of an in-game save. We find it annoying to have to quit adventuring just to save our progress. We understand in the free version this allows more ads to play, but we dont see the point in the paid version.
We would have given a better review but we can't play with another person on android while we're on a apple device.
Overall, we like the game. Would like it better if you filter items for sale by class ur looking to by for. We keep going back and forth which is a pain. Also, why have so many locked chests with place to find keys. Keys are hard to find and it seems like there are way more locked chests than keys. The thief should have a set of lock picks that get more advanced as he goes up in levels.
Game is decent but guild upgrades and multiplayer support are rather lacking. Please allow stones to be found and have better upgrades after getting all of them (ie, upgrade gold gained or hero hp/ mana boost per upgrade stone). Also, please put an option to do the multiplayer adventure (ones in story that force you to do multiplayer to get reward stone) with bots.
12/24/19 It is a good dungeon crawling game. This game has been out for awhile but still has bugs. 1. Sometimes map gets weird. We have to reload the game one or twice to fix it. 2. Auto follow can lose characters. We have keep track of everyone or one or two may get left behind stuck somewhere. Hope for improvement: 1. Paladin fights terrible. Misses a lot for some reason and when she hits, often 1 damage. Our summoned monster from evoked or shaman fights better than her. 2. Although there is multiplayer game but no one plays it so it is useless.
This would be a very good game, however, due to being total ignored by the administration and game developers. We paid for a gold pack 3 of $150,000 gold and never received it. So we would recommend DO NOT SPEND any money on this game, you will get what you buy. We would be glad to give this a new review if we get what was paid for.
Seriously. What happened to games? Ive been playing this for like 35 minutes and Im utterly confused. We have no idea whats going on, what our short term and long term goals are, what our characters drive and ambition is composed of, and most importantly we have no flying hogs taint of an idea of what this game is all about or where its going and what our motivation is for playing it. Click buttons screen do stuff! Oooh! Unga bunga! Frack freck frock! Rhunga boom boom! Please. Polish this game and get back to us. In the meantime this is garbage. Ugh. Ignore our influence. Dummy name.
As someone who plays tabletop RPGs, particularly Dungeons & Dragons, this mobile game is the closest experience Ive ever had to re-creating a tabletop RPG. The animations are decent, and the gameplay is both tactical and challenging. The best thing about this game is that it is free, and not pay to win. The online extra features are totally optional, and the game never forces you to buy them. We would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of classic tabletop RPGs to play this game immediately.
Very entertaining game, a lot of fun to play. Well done.
Title really says it all. Thats our 2cents worth.
Takes us back to our youth when we were just learning D & D.
Great game if you were a fan of the ole hero quest board game. Not too challenging whenever o saw our heroes werent cutting it we bought them some equipment and they progressed fine . Dont need to spend any money if you dont want to.
Love the game. Extras are cheap.
We wish there was a paid option to skip the junky ads though.
Wanted to like this but there is no real tactics involved. Stand in the door way wait for them to attack. If the enemy has ranged attackers half the time they melee attack. Stand in the door way with your tanks wait for attack rinse and repeat every level. Good try supported you anyway.
This is a reminiscence of our turn based RPG D&D days. Fun to play and would highly recommend.
Playing this game is similar to the BG series. Lots of fun. Lvls, spells and character development…and relatively inexpensive. Opportunities to play FREE.
We found this gem of a game just a few days ago and have been playing non-stop! We love everything about it. Please, please, please keep working on this game, developers! Love it so much.
Brings hero quest style gaming to life. Great fun.
Wow! A free game of this quality is unheard of any more. And, yes, it is fun and detailed. We really enjoy it. The DLC is not needed to play and is reasonably priced. A no-brainer! Keep it coming guys. Love it.
Turn strategy style, collect treasure, buy and sell equipment- just what we were looking for.
We have been hunting for RPGs that dont push guilds or daily duties for a long time. This game is fantastic, our hunt is over, and folks who cut their teeth on RPGs in the 80s will likely feel similarly.
This game is hella fun… Cant believe its not popular as hell.
We love that Pravato included the Dice rolls on this. You can turn them off if you want, but we LOVE THEM. We loved them on Arcane Quest 2. The dice rolls help this to feel like an old school board game rpg, which is what keeps us coming back. It kills us that other developers dont have 1/5 of the good taste of Marc Pravato. Warhammer Quest on ios plays so sluggishly and lacks dice display. Arcane Quest 3 is much snappier, has better options, and has custom quests, inexpensive 1 time IAP. This is a thing of beauty. Pravato for life.
Playing this for several days now. Free app- supported the developer by paying $3 to unlock all the character types, though game is perfectly playable with the four default characters- dwarf, barbarian, wizard, ranger. You move through dungeons slaying monsters, avoiding traps, uncovering treasure to find the exit to the next level, with usually some kind of boss monster at the end. Easy to play, but decent depth and variety of monsters. We're only a few dungeons in- we've seen goblins, goblin archers, spiders, orcs, troll wizards so far. Try it for free- we think you'll enjoy it. If so, buy all the characters to up your replay value. Happy adventuring.
Much better than versions 1 & 2. Able to find items during adventures, repairs, buy more stuff, group bonuses all make this very fun. Multiplayer is a nice touch but needs more help descriptions as its still pretty confusing.
This is a very fun quest game. It plays very similarly to Warhammer quest, to the point of being arguably a clone, but it has more available for free and the sole iap that unlocks ALL content is very reasonably priced. Their connections with the fan content is commendable too. The interface is effective mostly and the game both straight forward and fun. There are a few irritations (picking up loot takes way too long – just have a retrieve all option please developers) but these are minor. We loved quest and we love this game too. Good job guys.
We have taken it to as many upgrades as we can. We wish there was more and the same goes for weapons and armor. The cash needed to do all this was minimal but worth ever dime.
Really nice adventure game. Easy to learn, nice characters, and fun quest to play.
If you are looking for a D&D fix but dont have all your friends available, this will do the trick.
We enjoyed the game for a few days, but now all of our progress has vanished. Everything we've accomplished is gone. Started us at the beginning. We did nothing to make this happen. Not going to start over, either, so the game is useless to us. If there is any way to fix this, devs, please let us know. (Would've been 5 stars).
Great fun for those who grew up playing Heroquest! Runs fine on our iPad mini.
We haven't played many games of this type and loved it. Great for a novice or pro. Great detail. We've been playing for hours and love it.
We're an RPG fan from way back to the original classic D&D, so we're always on the lookout for a good one to play. We came across this game and we've enjoyed playing it for some time now. Definitely not pay to play, although there may be that element to it, it's not necessary at all. Give this one a try! Reminiscent of the old Gauntlet played on a turn basis.
Great game cheap coins to get started.
