Atlantic Fleet Reviews

  1. Make each individual ship have there own characteristics like the tirpitz should have torpedoes and camouflage . For example if youre still working on it add this pls.

We’re giving this game 5* for what it is, though there are some frustrating aspects we’ll detail in a bit. PROS: – Casual, fun, blowing up ships and watching them sink is very satisfying. Atlantic (unlike Pacific) even lets you dive under the water to watch the ships go down, and you know you want to, you sick puppy. The game provides just enough variety and requires just enough thought to keep it from being boring while remaining something you can visit whenever you have spare time and still have fun with, without having to invest too much brain power or time. – Play as submarines, destroyers, cruisers/battleships, or carriers, each of which plays quite differently (cruisers and battleships are very similar, so we lump them together). – Specific damage modeling, such that you can knock out specific systems on the enemy ships, which affects their ability to fight, maneuver, and stay afloat. It also models damage visually, which is something Pacific Fleet didnt really do (mostly island structures or smokestacks being blown off). We especially like that ships seem to suffer additional casualties even when Im not shooting them; i.e., while Im bothering around with our radar and gun elevation, we’ve seen enemy ships suddenly suffer secondary explosions that cripple or even sink them. That was way more than we expected from such a casual game. – Unlike Pacific Fleet, there are no annoying island battles to endure. – Unlike Pacific Fleet, your ships come with all the upgrades they would have left the shipyard with; no need to keep spending renown to level up your ships defenses or offensive capabilities. – Unlike Pacific Fleet, you can withdraw from battles without scuttling your ships. CONS: – Subs are very dependent on starting location, because they are slow as heck. Get placed behind an enemy group and you may as well restart, because you will never catch them, they’ll just slowly pull away. This is realistic (speed really is a submarines weakness), but not fun. – Torpedoes are to us the most frustrating aspect of this game. They do not hit ships on the turn you launch them (whether from subs or from aircraft), so you have to guesstimate where the target ship will be a turn later when the torps will reach it. The ships can see the torpedoes coming (to be fair, so can you when they launch at you) and will usually maneuver to avoid them if possible. So, its very hard to get a hit with submarines, and thats assuming the scenario didnt drop your sub too far from the enemies to even be relevant. This makes scoring hits with torpedoes immensely satisfying, but Id prefer they werent so darn difficult to use. – Theyve dumbed down the radar compared to Pacific Fleet, to the point where now it is merely a suggestion and usually a wildly inaccurate one at that. This would not frustrate us so much if player skill could counteract the radars inaccuracy, but you just never know if the radar is going to be guessing too short, too long ,or just right, and theres NO WAY youre ever going to be able to visually gauge it based on the distances yourself. So, the radar is PACIFIC vs ATLANTIC: – IN GENERAL: Pacific is by far the more casual of the two, though neither really reaches "sim" level. – BIG DIFFERENCE: In Pacific, torpedos last one turn. You fire them directly at static enemy ships. In Atlantic, torpedoes take two or three turns, so when you fire them, you have to "guesstimate" how far they will go each turn and where the enemy target will be when they finally reach it. – BIG DIFFERENCE: No island battles in Atlantic (at least not so far, 18 battles into the campaign) which is good because island battles are universally hated. – BIG DIFFERENCE: The radar is uncannily accurate in Pacific, making the game much more casual (while shell drift keeps it from being too ridiculously easy). In Atlantic, the radar is so inaccurate, it’s really a mere suggestion, which can be maddening. – Pacific requires you to spend "renown" (the in-game currency, which is fortunately not something that you can buy with real money… This is not a F2P money sucker) to upgrade your ships; Atlantic sells you the ships fully upgraded. – In Atlantic you have to spend renown to replace your lost ships; in Pacific, you don’t. This makes losing ships more of a penalty in Atlantic. – You can withdraw from battles in Atlantic without having to SCUTTLE your ships (and therefore wipe out all their crew experience). Which is better? That’s a matter of opinion. We like and play both a lot, but they are quite different. Try the free versions of each, and if one or both entertain you, buy the full versions. They provide a lot more gameplay and we find we play them several times a day when we have downtime, so well worth the money.

But could you please update for 6.7 inch screen, we will be appreciate for that.

Well improvements over original is very good Dow good it could be used for a new pacific fleet.

Something we would like is if there was islands and bases on them plus put in landing crafts with soldiers the size of the crewmen on the ships and make the bases just like the ones in pacific fleet and if you can put Defenses in the for example fences towers with mounted guns but please do we wouldnt have deleted this game if it wasnt for you.

Its awesome but what if you guys combined pacific fleet and Atlantic fleet together and made a naval pleat game!

PLEASE… PLEASE…. Add Italian battleships like RN Roma… We would love to see some amazing ships like Roma, Graf Zepplin, and other American battleships! Please add for the gamers who love this game and would gladly pay for it!

We love the ships but we need more like passenger liners or more subs. Thanks.

Great game a huge improvement from the last, but can you please add more ships like the Iowa class, Montana class, South Dakota class, fletcher class, Baltimore class,Cleveland class, midway class, gato class, Atlantan class, Alaska class, and some German aircraft carriers, also can you add Battle of the Atlantic to be 2 players like single battle, and will save for resuming.

This game is amazing first the graphics are amazing for mobile games and we love all the planes you can use however killer fish games can you please add a German aircraft carriers that carry the prototype aircraft carrier Stuka. Another thing we like is the subs the submarine have better mechanics then most sub games. And our favorite is the fact you have to look at the wind the range where the ship is facing making it realistically hard to hit and we love it it is so worth 10$ but if you are unsure try the lite version and test it out.

This game is great. We love it. BUT there is one glaring issue. (Well 2) first, please make the rangefinder more accurate. Second PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add German aircraft carriers like the Graff Zeppelin and othe Zeppelin class carriers. Please! Once again great game.

This is a great game. We see very little wrong with it. What we do see is that in campaign, you only get to command three ships a battle. Also German aircraft carriers, more us ships like battleships New York, Texas, battleships that took part in d-day, also German battleships are way to op. For starters Bismarck only had about 12” of armor on the belt instead of 18”. And again we hear a lot of people who play the game say "I wish they would add this to pacific fleet." If you could do that it would be FANTASTIC.

This is big eh for us the speed difference between ships and subs are inaccurate yes ships have a larger power source but subs were made to out run the ships and cut them off. The game only lets you move two spaces but ships get 5 that’s a big disadvantage for the player and it’s not a winnable situation at all they will escape before even getting a shot change this please we won’t be giving good reviews.

Love it, we have a couple suggestions -American ships -Ark Royal -German Carriers -Ability to chose terrain, like islands etc It would make the game much better!

We love this game so much but theres some things that we need you to fix and this is going to be correct because we are a pretty much a big history nerd first of all The fritz X is a guided bomb also you need to add the graf Zeppelin it was actually built but right after it was sent to sea The crew abandoned it also can you please add during June 6, 1944 for the British theres like a Normandy Landing mission for every ship in the Britain area where are you have to destroy the coastal defenses also for The ships if the shells hit right under the gun of the ship could like the magazine explode and then the ship sinks because some famous ships actually got destroyed because the magazine exploding like the hood so can you please add all of this and we will never stop playing this game please just please add all this or some of this just please at least add one thing.

Fun game, only complaint is that without some sort of basic targeting system the trail and error of most bomber strikes make it rarely worth it.

Been playing since Pacific Fleet and we love the games. As a suggestion maybe there can be a swap for speed control that allows you to control the speed down to the decimal. Being an actual sailor, we enjoy situations that we are really faced with out at sea. We love making the whole ‘attack at refueling’ situation. Makes for some interesting battles.

Extremely well done simulation. They have improved upon the sophistication and the playability of the simulation, improving over Pacific Fleet by allowing larger forces, supporting torpedo spreads vs firing only one torpedo on a turn. Gunnery model seems to be consistent with elevations and ranges for the generic cannon classes vs the actual specific cannon. Probably due to memory and resource limitations. We worked on many professional flight and warfare simulations in our long career, and we have to really applaud this series of games. Graphics and playability are superb without being overly complex. Only suggestions we would have for this one would be to add in the Ark Royal, Graf Zeppelin, Wasp and possibly an add on module to allow the Japanese ships and additional American, Dutch, Italian and captured and free French vessels to be in the game. Maybe a scenario for PQ-17. May not be enough memory and computational resources to allow this. The designers clearly know what they are doing from both a historical and technical standpoint. If there are compromises in historical and technical accuracy, it is most likely they had to make trade offs in accuracy in order to allow the software to be supported on the platform. Many historical critics overlook this issue faced by designers and developers. We saw some very unfair criticisms of simulation games over the decades made by Ex military and military history aficionados. They usually overlook platform limitations. Sometimes you have to compromise on accuracy and complexity to make it work decently, and make it fun to play by an audience that may include 6 or 7 year old kids.

Great game with tons of replay value. Most of the negative reviews cite the inaccurate rangefinding of radar. This is true. Use the map instead – it is hyper-accurate. On your first shot use whatever to radar suggests. After that, bring your ships broadside and to a halt. Check the map for each shot after. You’ll quickly get the hang of how much to modify the elevation to get hits every time. We’ve 3 starred every mission and won the battle of the atlantic on both sides easily using this. We think it would be boring if it were automatic. In true sims like Silent Hunter series, you’re constantly accessing the map and using skill to beat the game. BTW this is best played on big screens like iPads or iphone 6+. We tried on iphone 5 and it’s a little too small for us.

One of our favorite strategy games of all time. The graphics are terrific, the controls are easy and the damage is more realistic than we’ve seen in most games of this style. Something to chew on though, would you guys consider making a game along theses lines but featuring warships from the American Revolution era?

Add the USS Massachusetts, and the USS New York with Texas as the second ship. :)

If your not going to update Atlantic fleet anymore you please please make a new PACIFIC FLEET game where the HMS HMAS And USA ships are involved idc how much money it is but please new game or AT LEAST UPDATE this one!!!!

Killerfish please read. We think you should make a game that is like Atlantic fleet just with navies from around the world like France, China, Japan, the US, USSR, UK, Germany, etc. We also think you should be able to pick what navy you want for that specific battle and where you battle. Just a suggestion but we think this would be very cool if it has the amount of ships per navy that Atlantic fleet does.

There are days when we may not be playing this game, but we’re thinking about playing this game. No obnoxious in-app micro transactions. An honest deal. These guys are great!

The graphics aren’t the best, 2D explosions, very pixelated, but we can’t blame them. We can’t wait for Cold Waters! Thanks for an amazing ham.

This game is absolutely amazing from the graphics to the outstanding gameplay. We love naval games such as Atlantic fleet and pacific fleet. Another genre would be modern naval combat. We think it would be wonderful to be able to use naval vessels from many different countries that are in use today. Just think of having submarines that can launch missiles from a far. Please killer fish games take into account the of people such a genre a naval combat would attract.

We’re thinking maybe the Graf Zeppelin and the New York class ships and the x-craft.

So Im here to give you the shortest review we can give so here we go….. So we think you just add a u-boat campaign.

One of our favorite games just wish there was multiplayer.

This game is the best WWII sim ever in our opinion but we have one complaint: in the single battle mode the historical outcome for sinking of the Bismarck is wrong. The Bismarck wasnt sunk by weapons, the crew scuttled it. Please fix this in the next update but other than that we rate this game 100/5. This next part we came up with after writing the first part of this review. Can you please make it to where the torpedoes are like pacific fleets torpedoes they finish moving in one turn. These are just ideas to future updates.

The game is amazing. The graphics are great, the ship selection is huge, and the turn style gameplay feels right. The only thing we wish was in the game was the iconic Jericho Trumpets siren would play as you dived with the JU-87 Stuka. Other than that great game, a little expensive, but worth it.

This game is great. If you love war, ww2, or naval battles this is the game for you! We played it and the graphics are amazing! We have been playing Atlantic Fleet Lite ever since it came out. But, this is so over the top! But, killerfish please add the French and Italian fleets. Best 10$ we have ever spent!

We like it but it always seems like that Ai is accurate and very little does the elevation degrees do anything.

This game is epic!! But one thing we would like is if the Tirpitz had torpedoes. After Bismarck sank, the Germans equipped her sister ship with torpedoes, so that should be added, also the use to use the planes/catapults on the ships, can you guys also make another game? But with modern ships like the Arleigh-Burke class destroyer and USS Ronald Regan?? That would be awesome!!!

Like many others, Id love to see more campaigns added; fun game with good replay value.

While this game has a learning curve, for anyone interested in WWII naval engagements, this is awesome. And the graphics, top notch. It would be nice if the Italians could have been involved, just to add a bit of diversity to the Axis side. The Allies have the US Navy and the Royal Navy.

We love the game and everything that is in their but we think that there are four types of aircraft carriers for Briton and none for Germany is a little bit off the Germans built a aircraft carrier called the Graf Zeppelin that was sunk in the Baltic Sea.

This game is what we were looking for on the store. Sandbox battles historic battles ETC,but we would love there to be a German carrier. And some more ships. OVERALL A GOOD GAME! COMPLETELY RECOMMEND THIS GAME FOR ANYONE WHO LOVES ATLANTIC WARFARE!

You made a naming mistake. The allied sub has a lot of names and one of them is Tutankhamen. This is wrong because his real name is Tutankhamun or Tutankhaten. Its complicated but it has to to with Egyptian gods and stuff but the name is wrong.

Great selection of historically correct vessels and addictive gameplay without the hassle of "pay to win" BS.

We know it sounds kind of outlandish, but adding German aircraft carriers to the game would be pretty cool. We know there were only about 4 that were never completed, but it was the same situation with the H39 class featured in-game that was supposed to field 6 ships, yet only 2 are usable. Plus, being able to incorporate German aircraft like the BF-109 that cannot be found in-game would be cool as a carrier fighter option as well as the ability for TBF avengers on American carriers to carry torpedos. Also, some ships on both sides have floatplanes that arent able to be used at all. Itd be cool if you could use up 1 turn launching a floatplane that would add like a 20% buff to rangefinder accuracy once in the air, and also the ability for them to carry a couple small bombs on them. Also, more American ships like the Fletcher class of destroyers that also helped escort convoys as far as Iceland in WW2. These are just some suggestions we had in mind, but we feel that theyd add more fun content and abilities to the game thats make at a bit more enjoyable.

Absolutely terrific game! Very fun. Unlike many games which tend to get boring and repetitive, Atlantic Fleet is still one of our favorite games. Though we do have some suggestions for future updates. For The Battle of the Atlantic game mode, it would be a lot more convenient if we had repair/rearm ships along with the "Milk Cow" submarines instead of having to haul the ships back to a port. Great game keep up the good work guys!

Please update this app we play it regularly and would hate to lose it to iOS 11.

This game is amazing. You must get it!

Make some Italian ships like richalue, Dunkirk or other ships This review was short because our first one disappeared great game though.

A good game but we think there should be a campaign that stretches into modern times And we think there should be some merchant ships the have a 4 gun on them and a campaign where free roam with a convoy or a Wolfpack that you build up by gaining renown you get from sinking ships over time but overall a good and we think adding these will keep good balance on enjoyment from playing the game thanks for reading.

Theres no sound coming out when we play please help.

Can you out in the lusitania or something.

This game is wonderful it is full of excitement and action . You do have to guess the rang on the guns and some of the ships armor are not realistic but other than that the game is the best mobile app o have ever had and it is great for car trips as we spent hours in the car playing single battles between the Royal Navy and the German navy . We would like to see where you have pacific fleet and Atlantic fleet the same game and when you start the game up you pick the one you want one all the best game though !
