A Glimpse into Backgammon – Board Games

Backgammon is a classic board game popular with many players around the world. Whether you are a beginner or expert player, this game may help to exercise your mind or relax after a long day at work. Enjoy classic gameplay right on your device, train your brain and have fun!

How to play Backgammon:

  • Classic Backgammon is a logic puzzle for two, played on a board of 24 triangles called points.
  • Each player sits on the opposite sides of the board with 15 checkers, black or white.
  • To start the game, players take turns and roll the dice.
  • Players move pieces based on the numbers rolled. For example, if you roll 2 and 5, you can move one piece 2 points and another one 5 points. Alternatively, you can move one piece 7 points.
  • Once all of a player’s pieces are in his or her “home”, that player may begin removing pieces off of the board.
  • A player wins once all of their pieces are removed from the board.

A few more things to know:

  • Rolling two of the same number allows you to move 4 times. For example, for a roll of 4 and 4, you can move a total of 16 points, although each piece must move 4 points at a time.
  • You cannot move a piece to a point that is occupied by 2 or more of your opponent’s pieces
  • If you move a piece to a point with only 1 of your opponent’s pieces on it, the rival’s piece is removed from the board and placed on the middle partition.

Simple and intuitive design lets you focus on the gameplay and master your skills. Start your first round, challenge yourself and keep your brain active!

We havent played this in decades.

Game would be better if computer took off our pieces instead of just going to get ready to come off.

The AI isnt adjustable, and is very risk averse. While its likely no substitute for playing a human, it doesnt cheat and is an EXCELLENT tool for developing fundamentals. Have recommended it to all our friends. Well worth the $5.

Having a ball with this game but it does cheat sometimes.

We’ve played so many different versions online that seem fixed. Im a fairly good player but it was impossible to win. Every blot got hit and opponent would get doubles when bearing off to win. Thank you for fair game. Just havent figured out how to double on this app.

This particular backgammon game DOES NOT CHEAT. We are particularly good at Backgammon. We have played this game for at least fifty years. We can vouch that this game DOES NOT CHEAT. So unlike so many computerized backgammon that seem to roll the dice to their benefit in their time of need, this game is on the level. Our only regret is that it does not offer us the challenge we would like to have. Some, not all, but, some of their moves are sheer entry level.

Great games and far less ads !!

Backgammon is fun and relaxing peace of mind. It would be a good idea if have section that can right a msg to the opponent.

Whomever wrote this game was high on something. There is NO WAY the average die role roles this many doubles.. Especially at a critical time.

PROS: Nice clean interface. Dice appear to be quite random. Ability to set match length. Play with doubling cube. Auto bear off works well. Number of ads for a free app is ok. ( About one per game, w fast forward option ) The daily challenge is interesting. CONS: Shows your roll then gives you option to double. ( Thats not how backgammon is played ) AI has no skill options. Default (only) AI skill level is medium at best. ( A good player will win every match ) No multiplayer option. Developer – Fixing the roll before doubling option should be pretty straightforward and will correct a significant flaw. AI plays VERY conservatively. You need to increase its aggression on sending tokens to the bar. Skilled players will almost always hit when they can, even if it leaves a token open. The AI almost always prioritizes covering up. Hence, the almost always losing. Great job on the random dice. We just dont get developers who slant the game to the AI. Inferiority complex of some sort ?

We thought in backgammon you needed exact number to play out. Doesnt seem that in this game.

We love this game . One minor issue . It would be wonderful if we could customize and or upload our own profile photo or avatar. Please make that happen Thx.

Game is fun, but the computer does not have the true killer program. It passes on obvious block-take out moves for basic advancement moves. BUT, it makes up for that with the luckiest rolls we have ever seen. Gets the perfect required roll almost every time, rolls doubles constantly while all we seem to roll is 1-2. Keeps us in tune for when we play for real.

We enjoy the game but havent figured out how to get a darker background so we dont strain our eyes.

The daily challenge is the key but it has only one daily challenge we wish it has 10 a day.

Game is a lot Of fun and challenges are interesting. Unfortunately, it has way to many adds. Once a game would be OK 3-4 is way to much.

Remember that all checkers have to be in Las section to be able to remove them from board.

We like this app – especially without ads. Can you add overall stats so we can see our game and match wins and winning percentage in addition to the current match score? Also Id like to have board options with alternating points in different colors. It makes it easier to see the move options. We also play your Sudoku game daily and enjoy that too. Thanks!

Its an okay game the problem we have with it is that it seems like when you get set to win, bam your opponent(the computer) starts to get high dice rolls and you get low rolls and they wind up winning.

This backgammon game is bugged. We selected x2 and the game rolled the perfect number to send our tile to the middle 7 times in a rowthe odds of that is so unlikely that it boarders impossible.

Fun game, but can be frustrating. House get more doubles throughout the game, and player gets more low rolls.

Auto opponent makes really nonsense moves.

Playing the computer seems like they get more doubles and perfect numbers to move to perfect spots. While we get numbers that force us to move to vulnerable spots all the time. Just doesnt seem fair.

Been playing for a few weeks. The initial dice rolls always win in favor of the opponent – every time. Also, if Im in the advantage, the dice roll always favors the opponent – 3 double dice in 5 rolls when we havent seen a double in 10+ games other than double 1s. Frustrating and not realistic.

Sometime it brings up an ad that we can’t get past. Even if we download the app that’s being advertised, it won’t go back to the game. No way to get out or go back. It’s like it gets stuck in a loop.

Not ce game but there are more ads than playing time.

Opponent seems to get alot more doubles than the player does.

This game has a lot of nice features, and it seemed pretty fair initially but now we’ve noticed that the end of the game, the opponent gets many more sets of doubles than the player.

Love the daily challenges because the starting pattern varies and so it keeps it interesting. The regular games are all the same starting pattern every single time, which gets boring after a while.

We need better instructions. Some of the moves it wont let us take are not making sense.

There is no games played history to show wins and losses.

This would be five star if the computer didnt roll doubles every 4th roll but we’ve been counting and thats exactly how the dailys go. You will play some of them 6 times before you get a win, idk how the rolls are scripted into the game but it just doesnt seem random to us with the amount of doubles the computer rolls. Beyond that, the game is smooth and its not to many ads which is nice.

It seems unlikely that doubles occur so frequently for the opponent, but not for you. When we do get doubles, its usually ones or twos.

When you play the Daily puzzle, this app already starts the game for you and puts our pieces in positions we would never do. And many times it starts the scoring so that we are already behind & have to spend our time catching up while trying to protect all the single chips now lying all over the place. Very frustrating!!

Too easy. Computer doesnt take calculated chances. Ill win every time.
