We really dont have any complaints about this game. We were just stoked about it the whole time. There was so much thought put into it, with each minute thing to discover. Im sad its over!
The graphics are beautiful, the game controls are wonderful & im not sure why some people have problems but ours goes to auto save. Play it it at least three times in the past year and its still amazing every time we play it! We would definitely recommend and since we love all their games we hope these developers come out with a new game soon!
This game is diverse, hard and extremely weird. We loved machinerium (Not sure how to spell it) and samorost 3, so we bought this one. This was on the same level of Favoriteness than both samorost 3 and machinerium! This game was cute and weird. Weirdly wonderful! There is no earthly logic involved, but who cares! If you dont want to be super stressed out by your inexperience, then dont get this one, but we encourage it if you want to take your time. Good luck!

Instructions at the beginning are non existent. But once we figured it out we couldn’t put it down. One of our favorite iPhone games ever.

We were first introduced to this company’s work through Machinarium. So at time of purchase we had no doubt about a positive game play experience. The reason we are writing this review is so we can tell you about what a wonderfully joyful experience this game provides. Your Botanicula doppelgnger is so bursting with exuberant delight, it’s almost evil.
We havent played the game but we purchased the soundtrack – its that good!

Wonderful tiny, unique critters, in little worlds where everything behaves oddly. Strange challenges. Engaging & rewarding. :: we wasn’t interested in iPad games until we began exploring with our grandson. This game is the most amazing, creative experience. This is an interesting game. It has incredible graphics, we enjoyed the soundtrack and it’s actually entertaining. The puzzles are a good level of hard but not frustrating unless you omit to interact with a piece in the game. It would be awesome if you make more chapters because it’s that good. We would buy another chapter. Well done.
Worth every penny. It is so beautiful and well made. We could go on and on but the point is, we’ll be buying their other games now.
We’ve had this game for over a year but this is the first time we persisted and got all the way thru. Yay, us! Now we’re sorry it’s over. It is absolutely charming and one I’d happily share with our grandkids. Seniors like us aren’t too keen on the mostly gruesome and gory adventure/escape games. Amanita seems to get that with Machinarium and Samorost. The challenges are pretty intuitive in what you need to do, although some walkthrough help was needed to see just how to do. But all are doable. Will return to this someday in the future. But please make more! And can you make Samorost 1 & 2 playable on iPads, please?
This is a fabulous game that requires patience, thought, and attention. You help a little posse of a seed and his friends to save a tree. The graphics, the storyline, the puzzles are all so richly entertaining and rewarding. You cheer along with the posse as you save the tree from the scourge. We write this with a tinge of sadness; we have played this on-and-off since January and we finally finished, wanting to take each step on its own. And now we are done… And we are sad. Thank you to the very talented and inspiring developers for Botanicula!
It’s the first puzzle type of game we have played in a while and truly enjoyed. The characters are cute and funny and the challenges are just hard enough!
If you love puzzle games, please play ALL. Of their games! Botanicula, Samorost 3, Machinarium! All of them are excellent, challenging, beautifully designed, and will keep you interested for hours! Best bundle Purchase we’ve ever made for games on the App Store!

We absolutely love this game. We loved Machinarium and Samorost. This is one of the most beautiful and happily bizarre games we’ve ever played. That being said, on a small iPhone, trying to pass the worm star maze is almost impossible. Please consider some sort of help for people trying to drag a tiny star with their finger through a maze they can’t even see (fingers not being transparent and all). Thanks and we love your games!
This is our favorite game we’ve ever played it is sooooo fun all of your games are our top 3 ( because we dont have chucel) but Im going to get it this week.
This game only took us 3 days to get through. We wish it was longer. Still worth the graphics and storyline though. We loved it!!
We love this game and was sad when we finished that last puzzle! The game got more challenging as we progressed and a few bits had us stymied for a while. We found that leaving it alone for a while then coming back gave us new perspectives we found that it is much easier to play on the iPad than the iPhone. There are few games that even approach this level of creativity! Thank you so much to the team who developed it. Bravo!
Can we just say that whoever came up with the idea/plot and visuals of this game are absolutely whole heartedly talented people!!!! The way you figure out the puzzles and the different worlds and different creatures… We could just go on and on. Figuring out the puzzles really put your brain to work while giving you a sense of actually playing a game at the same time. Wow. We definitely recommend it you guys. We bought the bundle pack and am currently on Machinarium, so Samorost will be last. Cant wait to see more from these developers. (An under the sea version would be to die for, give us a cut if you use this idea please lol -no but seriously.) Ana.

We just finished the app games and wished they were more. This app really capture our attention, thought provoking and keep our desire to keep playing. The attention to detail animation, cool graphics, fun puzzles and strategy games keeps us playing and feel good about myself when we successfully attain each level. We’re not one who spends a lot of time on apps but this app is great! Even our 8yr old son loves it. It’s definitely for all ages. More levels please .. We’ll miss these little things of friends… Woo hoo! Very nice creation and looking for forward to more apps from this company.
This game was beautiful, moving, adorable, compelling, and intuitive. And challenging! 100% do recommend.
Loved this game. It was fascinating and puzzling in a very good way. Only thing we could see being added is an into that explains what you are doing a little better. We were sort of confused at one point and stopped playing for nearly two years before we picked it back up again.
We loved the art style throughout this game! Everything gave you the feeling of being back in a childhood fairy tale. The gameplay was fantastic as well! Every puzzle was intuitive and interesting enough to keep us playing the game. All over a great game and a good time.

Ok gaming but we keep getting lost trying to find our way or get back to where we need to go. Lost interest in the game. Good game but not for us. Amanita nailed it with games like Machinarium and Samorost 3.
Its a cute, but somewhat lacking game. Atmosphere and art is phenomenal but gameplay is pretty bland. Not worth a ton of money; wait for a sale. Mechanarium is better imo. We suggest considering that instead, if you havent played it already.
Please try to simplify the dripping water puzzle or at the very least please provide some in game hints so that you don’t need to understand any high level math like the angle of refraction formula and the like too…
We love the game but can’t get the multi-eyed creature to hand over the star disk. Eight blue eggs, tried re-playing. Bummed. Playing on ipad mini and heard there is a workaround? NEED!
Absolutely beautiful and creative, but very difficult. Would love to see the beauty of the rest of the game, but am dead ended. Doubt we’ll ever finish it. Not very intuitive really hard to figure out the correct responses. YouTube help videos were good in some levels. But the artwork and level of creativity deserves awards.
