Community Insight:
Very good. Im an eight year old child l think we were about seven years old when we played this game and we will tell you some of the names we used for the characters in the video game. Wildebeest. Those horned guys. Thats all we can say right now because our dad is calling us.
The game is SO GOOD but it takes TOO LONG sm but is also worth all the wait to the game is so gud.
The game is awsome idk what to say otherwise.
We love this game its so fun and sooo entertaining we love it.
We hope a second version of this game or a similar game is made by Amanita Design.
Please make a 2nd. The art style is amazing it is difficult but simple It is so fun the rabbit one is violent but great the last part goes crazy this game should have an award you have done it again.
Can we have multiplayer so we can play with our friends.
A dark and genuinely scary story with creative and interesting gameplay. Fun to see a game that breaks the boring regular mold using odd quirks such as circular worlds. Great fun, now get back to work and bring us another game please.
Love the gameplay. Although there are some minor issues, the game itself is absolutely fine and amazing. One of the best horror games we have seen this year. Good job! :).
We love it bros but it has 35% play value after 3rd play you got to make the seqeul man but other than that we LOVE IT!!!!!!! Pls make more thx.
We love the game the puzzles, the texture the story just one problem. Its hard to move when you like drag the player so if you read our review, we would say add a joystick.
We love happy game! We even got to the end and it was not what we were expecting! Also how old is pancakes we named the little boy pancakes but what is his real name? Also we hope there is a happy game 2! Happy game is a fun game to play when bored tbh.
So this game is an absolute MASTERPIECE! The art is fantastic, the lore is even better and we love that it got us stuck on puzzles time to time, we've already completed it and it's SO amazing and well made we love it so much :)! We're head over heels for this game.
Happy Game is quite and experience. It has some blood and gore, so be careful. Whats really crazy is the story. Im not gonna spoil it, but its very deep and sad. The game makes even more sense and is even better when you know the story. Some of the flashbacks feel so oddly specific to childhood trauma. Amanita did a brilliant job at making that feeling of nostalgia, sadness, and fear. The whole game hit us really hard, and its amazing. Great job.
So, we enjoy horror games and the art and music in this game is beautiful and creepy! The music specifically is underrated. The puzzles arent overly complicated and can be completed in a maximum of about 6 minutes. We enjoy this game and hey! It would be cool if you made some sort of sequel eh? Cheers.
This game is amazing and we love it, but you guys gotta make another horror game! Maybe a sequel? :).
We find this game as the perfect length and perfectly disturbing.
Nothing can be better either and it wouldnt be better.
If youre a fan of their other games you will like this one too. That is if you dont mind the creepy theme. We wouldnt call it scary but it is a little disturbing, in an artful, playful kind of way.
A really interesting game you can play, it is kinda fun, but some stages are really short, some are long but its only a few.
At times the game can be tricky. Other times its not. These devs are certainly paving the way on what a game can be and how it can be played. Happy Game uses mostly situational puzzles that require plenty of thinking yet no language or numbers needed and the lack of instruction is part of the adventure. At first, it takes some getting used to, but dont give up! Once you catch on, its pretty addictive and again, some parts arent that easy. We played it for a few hours over a couple of days. Our guess is that its much longer if you dont go leaping for hints which we did not use. Totally worth the cost. Oh, and is it scary? Not really. Creepy and gory? Totally.
The graphics are excellent, and the vibe is oh so dark, very dark. Solving puzzles may require you rip the limbs off creatures or put eyeballs in a demons mouth. We really enjoyed it. It is a bit short, but worth it any way.
Beautifully designed, fun and creepy. Hope to see more.
That there isnt MORE of you. We have played nearly all of your games, and we see many people complaining about a lack of direction. It is precisely that quality that make your games our absolute favorite to play- all this required is a bit of patience and ingenuity to figure out, and boy is the effort rewarded. The artwork (as always) is obviously stunning, and while it does wax a bit violent its certainly no worse than the stuff we watch our 12 year old laugh at all day. Then again, our child might be a tad warped . If Im being honest the gameplay was really perfect in that while it was in no way dumbed down, we were able to get through it without ever referencing a walk-through, unlike Samarost which while we LOVED it, had us pulling hair out of our head. Please consider adding additional levels to this game? Just a humble request from a massive fan. Well done.
This is a happy game for happy people who enjoy always feeling happiness.
(The 4 star rating is because some parts are very disturbing, and the ending with the player at his empty room represents him a grown man on narcotics) this is a very cool horror game, Ill even do a Happy Game Fan Game (it sounds like a tongue-twister) but Ill have the artwork original. Thanks Amanita Design! :).
Well, that was a well designed game with very clever graphics and play. But we ended pulling out knives and chopping people up in our dreams. This is intensely violent and gory so be warned. Im sure Amanita had fun developing it though.
We thought the game would be an outside-of-the-box puzzle game like most of the others they have made. Although, the art was cool, but the game itself lacked depth in our personal opinion. The story is cliche, the mechanics are overused and lazy, and the game itself seems to be heavily leaning on the art to carry your interest throughout. All the puzzles can be solved in less than a minute with just a tiny bit of intuition. We found ourselves daydreaming about other things as we kept a finger on the screen to keep the main character moving forward. 3 stars simply because of the art and our overall love for Amanita Design. We hope in the future Amanita Design goes back to point-and-click puzzles like Machinarium or at least something that will have you scratching your head to find the solutions. Thank you for taking the time to read our review.
Simply nowhere near as good as other Amanita games. So disappointed we quit partway through. Their other games have a coherence and a story to them. You can explore sequences of screens and need to go back and forth between them to solve puzzles. This game lacks those cohesive elements. There is very limited intelligence to solving a screen, mostly just guessing what to pull, tap or push. The graphics are somewhat compelling, but they seem more of a visual art project than the rich and whimsical environments that the art in other Amanita games provide. Love Amanita, so was very excited and bought this right away, but so disappointed.
Ive played many of Amanitas games with great enjoyment. This one we quit after 5 minutes. Not because of the violenceI didnt really even get to that because it unclear what youre supposed to do. The instructions flash for like 3 seconds then youre left wondering. We also felt the controls on iPad were clumsy. Moving the main character feels slow and tedious. A real disappointment after Creaks, Botanicula and other delightful games.
Game was boting and lame and it trys so gard to be scary but it just seems and is so lame, its just boring and isnt fun at all. It dosnt make any either and like we said isnt scary at all, lame game and not worth any money at all, dollar max.
