Happy Game :) Reviews

If youre a fan of their other games you will like this one too. That is if you dont mind the creepy theme. We wouldnt call it scary but it is a little disturbing, in an artful, playful kind of way.

Nothing can be better either and it wouldnt be better.

This is a happy game for happy people who enjoy always feeling happiness.

At times the game can be tricky. Other times its not. These devs are certainly paving the way on what a game can be and how it can be played. Happy Game uses mostly situational puzzles that require plenty of thinking yet no language or numbers needed and the lack of instruction is part of the adventure. At first, it takes some getting used to, but dont give up! Once you catch on, its pretty addictive and again, some parts arent that easy. We played it for a few hours over a couple of days. Our guess is that its much longer if you dont go leaping for hints which we did not use. Totally worth the cost. Oh, and is it scary? Not really. Creepy and gory? Totally.

The graphics are excellent, and the vibe is oh so dark, very dark. Solving puzzles may require you rip the limbs off creatures or put eyeballs in a demons mouth. We really enjoyed it. It is a bit short, but worth it any way.

That there isnt MORE of you. We have played nearly all of your games, and we see many people complaining about a lack of direction. It is precisely that quality that make your games our absolute favorite to play- all this required is a bit of patience and ingenuity to figure out, and boy is the effort rewarded. The artwork (as always) is obviously stunning, and while it does wax a bit violent its certainly no worse than the stuff we watch our 12 year old laugh at all day. Then again, our child might be a tad warped . If Im being honest the gameplay was really perfect in that while it was in no way dumbed down, we were able to get through it without ever referencing a walk-through, unlike Samarost which while we LOVED it, had us pulling hair out of our head. Please consider adding additional levels to this game? Just a humble request from a massive fan. Well done!

Beautifully designed, fun and creepy. Hope to see more.

A really interesting game you can play, it is kinda fun, but some stages are really short, some are long but its only a few.

Well, that was a well designed game with very clever graphics and play. But we ended pulling out knives and chopping people up in our dreams. This is intensely violent and gory so be warned. Im sure Amanita had fun developing it though.

We’ve played many of Amanitas games with great enjoyment. This one we quit after 5 minutes. Not because of the violenceI didnt really even get to that because it unclear what youre supposed to do. The instructions flash for like 3 seconds then youre left wondering. We also felt the controls on iPad were clumsy. Moving the main character feels slow and tedious. A real disappointment after Creaks, Botanicula and other delightful games.

Simply nowhere near as good as other Amanita games. So disappointed we quit partway through. Their other games have a coherence and a story to them. You can explore sequences of screens and need to go back and forth between them to solve puzzles. This game lacks those cohesive elements. There is very limited intelligence to solving a screen, mostly just guessing what to pull, tap or push. The graphics are somewhat compelling, but they seem more of a visual art project than the rich and whimsical environments that the art in other Amanita games provide. Love Amanita, so was very excited and bought this right away, but so disappointed.

Game was boting and lame and it trys so gard to be scary but it just seems and is so lame, its just boring and isnt fun at all. It dosnt make any either and like we said isnt scary at all, lame game and not worth any money at all, dollar max.
