Theres a ton of nostalgia here not sure why game restarts every app launch. Also, only one character without in-app purchases.

A great game, a dark fantasy scarab of RA (if you ever played it). One big criticism: players dont know they can keep searching the same area without taking a step to grind items and combat, and they need to get out to the home screen to update items early! These two hints would be helpful, no, ESSENTIAL to know before playing. Also, its a deep dive into monotonous labyrinths. We like it because it requires strategy and stamina, but its not for everyone!

Castle of White Night is a very deep, dungeon crawling experience that also gives you some old school vibes. And the ambience and music is incredible as well.
We dont understand how gold works. We get like 1000 ish gold per run and none of it appears at the main menu? We think we have 75 total at the main menu… Do the devs seriously expect people to grind that much to buy new characters? Seems a little ridiculous and like a money grab to buy gold w real money disappointing. Am we missing something here?
This would be a 5 star review, but beyond one save point we found, we repeatedly lost all our progress in the game. If you close the app, all progress is lost. Even if you find the one save point in the dungeon, you still lose all progress from that point the minute the app shuts. No other roguelike games we have played work like this. Really bad issue. We dont want to play it, because then we need to have the app constantly open in the background, otherwise we will lose all progress. So, great idea , but its an unplayable game for us.

Absolute love letter to dungeon crawlers!
This game is perfect for modern day players to get a feel for the best of what first generation dungeon crawlers were like while at the same time allowing players to collect items that make it flow like a more modern game. It is the best of both worlds!!! This is a great game. It starts just like a very old school hard core dungeon crawler that is hard as hell with a lot of character maintenance. If you are young then you may have never even seen a game like this. DONT GIVE UP! As you progress the maintenance goes away and the game allows for a nice long run without you having to keep starting over. Items collected will grant you the ability to continue after death, Lamp post will grant you the ability to save. P.s. This company crown jewel is Tower of fortune 3. One of the all time best turn based rpgs on iOS. It has literally hundreds of hours of gameplay and yet costs less than a cup of coffee. Do yourself a favor and check it out :) REQUEST: please allow upgrade to treasures during the adventure. We have been playing this game nonstop thus we never went back to the main menu. We made it all the way to the queens gallery before even knowing you could upgrade treasures. Hope this feedback helps :)
Game Stew games are always incredible BUT THIS GAME MIGHT BE THEIR VERY BEST. VERY SIMPLE, MYSTERIOUS, AND STRATEGIC. We were very happy that they included their recipes for crafting. Thank goodness! Survival Horror meets Roguelike! So great!
Always great games by these guys. Im always torn whenever we see another new game pop up though. Half wishing they were able to just pour all their efforts into a single crazy game but half realizing theyve found a good comfortable niche for themselves. Just think, Tower of Fortune 4 and its bigger than every other game combined. One can dream and thats why Ill keep Buying these games.
If you just have that rogue like itch this is a nice gentle scratch. Simple with straightforwardness apparent. Also nice for just idle waiting.
Was bummed when we lost our first game because we couldn’t find the save point. Not used to mobile games needing one. Great old school vibe. Will see if we like enough to grind for those other characters. Seems like it will take awhile.
This is a phone game and as such we constantly have to exit the game only to come back to see we hsve to start over. We get the game has a save system but it needs to pause the game when you exit. We can’t play anymore unless this gets added.
Whenever we start the game, to continue our progress, we get a black screen after selecting an action. IPhone 7 Plus, 13.1.3. The game is currently unplayable for us.
