Dive into Cavernaut
Pilot your spaceship through a maze of caves on an alien planet. Try to reach the surface, while collecting luminum crystals which you can trade for upgrades. Watch out for hazards like mines or laser batteries, and keep an eye on your limited fuel supply.
Cavernaut is a cave flyer with its roots in classic arcade titles like Lunar Lander, reinvented for the iPhone and iPad: You steer your ship with simple touch and tilt controls through a cave that is randomly generated for every game. Each time you play, there’s a new path through the caves, and all the items and landing pads are in different places.

The simplicity of this game is the best feature Has so much content for its small game.
We have no bad thing to say about this app. Nothing I’d change at all. We’re not sure it’s ever happened we couldn’t at least suggest a change or addition etc. Retro feel done right.

This is a really fun game. The tilting is ok but sometimes we rather use buttons to control movement. It would make a great option as well as MFi control.
… Almost impossible to finish. You get one chance to make it to the top. If you run out of fuel or get zapped by a laser the game is over and you gotta start from the bottom again. You can upgrade ship capabilities but still just one try to reach the top. Its frustrating to put a lot of effort and time only to die when you get so far. Also it wont save your position if you have to quit. If you close the app or if its force closed by iOS you have to start over again.
We wish this game had touch to throttle thrusters for steering instead of tilting your phone. Also it doesnt feel right to play this game vertically instead of turning your phone sideways to play. We hope the team can add this change.
For when you arent situated to be leaning left and right. Kind of a big deal for us and would love to suggest this to others but cant without better control option. Also been abandoned by the dev but that wouldnt be a big deal if they spent some time updating the controls.
Tilt controls harsh our mellow. Wish Id read the whole game description before buying. If you too avoid tilt games, avoid this one until we get another interface option. Until then, we deleted it.
Great controls. We’ve missed Lunar lander for so long and this fits the peg. Could be a little harder though.

This game is excellent! It’s the only thing on our phone we play anymore. Yes, when you die you have to restart, but you unlock upgrades and collect trinkets so there is progression. We’ve almost got everything! Get it, you won’t be disappointed!

Cavernaut took us by surprise. This is the best dollar we’ve spent on an iOS title in quite some time. Simple to learn controls and an addictive upgrade system give you a great sense of accomplishment as you make your way to to surface. It uses a tilt-to-move and touch to boost control scheme that works flawlessly. Icing on the cake are Game Center leaderboards and achievements! You’re missing out if you pass this up! Update: latest version adds better support for iPhone 6 resolution.
If you can spend two dollars, which is totally worth it, then get this game. This is a premium game, with no bugs and solid gameplay. It plays like an endless runner, with upgrades, but there is an end! You unlock cool ability along the way, and get epic trinkets! It has permanent death, meaning if you die you loss your ability’s and have have to start from the beginning! You keep your upgrades and trinkets. This game is very difficult in that sense, but is still very fun to play. We recommend this to anyone who is up for the challenge! :D Oh, and no in a app purchases!

A tilt control game that is spot on. That is rare. It’s like the classic Lunar Lander, but with added goodness. The gameplay is very engaging. We find myself tilting with the ship in a collision close call. Collecting orbs for upgrades, collecting artifacts, and encountering different obstacles is the icing on the cake. Excellent job Jan Schoenepauck!
We were hesitant to pick this up due to the controls, but am glad we did. This has been one of our favorite games lately.
