Find out what gamers are saying about ColorFold:

Sounds like still having glitches- and they must be different from game to game. We cant get past level 31 even following the hints. Its telling us to take one color ribbon under the fold of the other color, and of course the game wont let us do that. We want to keep playin! Help! Update! Im just an idiot! Figured it out! Its fine! Lol great game! Updated stars to 5.

We remember playing a puzzle game exactly like this in previous years. It was called Colorbind and we enjoyed it immensely. Great to see this puzzle mechanic back on the appstore. Are you the original developer of that previous puzzler? Best of luck with the app!

Colorbind was to our knowledge the original of this game developed by Nonverbal and it was far more appealing then (like 9ish years ago?) This is a poorly drawn out version and we wish the original were still around. When we move onto new levels in this game it literally repeats old levels unless we exit back to the homepage and click into the newly unlocked level. Theres no beauty in the solutions. There isnt even a solid way to show you what the right or best solution is. It just tells you youre complete and moves on. We wish the original that this was a very poor knockoff of was updated to play on our phone instead.

Maybe this hasnt been updated, but its very frustrating to pay for a game and then be unable to play at all.

Ribbons often get stuck, forcing level restart. Level 69 seems like we might not get past it because one ribbon cant complete its circuit due to the bugginess. Hoping the dev team sees this and sends out an update! Such a fun cool concept and lovely aesthetically. Three hints is the perfect amount to keep things from getting frustrating.

1st – dont let those comments about no instructions stop you from downloading. The difficulty ramps up the same time new mechanics are introduced, and it can be frustrating. But its worth the effort! 2nd – level 90 transport icon does not work. Works in the new levels up to level 90 just fine. Sent a note to app support also. Update: Lvl 90 fixed!

What exactly are you harvesting from our phone? This is an attractive, fun game. However it falls short of what we expect from a pay game as follows: 1. Way too many bugs. 2. 88 levels? We would expect 200-300. 3. Will not run without an internet connection, though it doesn’t show ads. Still fun, though.

For all the people saying its a waste of money or there is no tutorial. This game is literally so simple it doesnt need one each level building off the last and slowly getting more challenging than the last. It teaches you with out having to tell you how to do to play the game. Dont get us wrong there have been a couple levels that we were stuck on for a day or two but with a little rest and then revisiting the game we solved it so fast we felt dumb for not seeing it the first time. Its a very beautiful game with the ribbons changing shades so you can tell if a different color can go over or under it. The dev is still very active which we love even if the update is just bug fixes or new levels. Its great to see hes still working on it. The game is not prefect but its more than WORTH two dollars. Im sure the dev is trying hes hard to improve the game the best he can!! We hope one day this game has as many levels as unblock me.

We think this is actually a really good game but it has too many bugs when using multiple colors. On level 68, it wouldnt let us navigate the green color under 3 other colors. It just stopped moving with your finger. Also, it often gets confused with which color Im trying to control. Finally, it some times leaves a ghost image when you back up a color. Im finding myself restarting the level because its stuck and we cant fix it.

What a fantastic game just wish there were even more levels available.

We give the developer kudos for creating such a beautiful and fluid game that allows the mind work things out and be rewarded with euphoric bliss by finding solutions. A tutorial is not necessary, just a little bit of reasoning and logic with applied experimentation. The ribbons are just as they would be in rl with a soft underside and a vibrant silky top side. When you turn the ribbon it folds under. If you bring a ribbon over another ribbons box and it is on a top side the other ribbon will automatically traverse under making the solution incorrect as the ribbons have to flow over the boxes not under in order to get the ping. On some levels this might seem impossible, but we assure you it isnt. It is just hard to figure out the correct pattern without experimentation. We are on level 50 and have only had to use hints on 2 levels. Keep up the good work devs. This game is well worth the $2 price tag and our mind thanks you for the challenge.

This is a great brain teaser game. We’ve been stuck on level 69 for a few days. We know how to finish it but we are unable to due to blocks getting stuck when they run over or under the starting place of another color. Hopefully they fix this glitch soon so we can move on!

Fun game that is just the right difficulty. Still a few bugs but game plays wonderfully despite.

It was a fun and challenging puzzler to burn a few minutes here and there. Best part was the easter egg. Thanks guys.

The puzzles are enjoyable and some are moderately challenging. We would enjoy this game as a quick break, except the developer has apparently tried to increase the complexity by choosing colors with horrid contrast (occasional yellow text on white) or similarity (dual color levels often have very similar colors making it hard to easily tell which is which, especially on our smaller iPhone SE).

Fun puzzler with good controls and sleek design. Levels require a set solution however. Levels 23 and 24 have multiple solutions but only one of them triggers victory.

We can get level 0 to complete sometimes but trying again with the same moves will not complete. We cannot ever get level 1 to complete. We have an iphone 8. Tried restarting. Tried rebooting. Tried erasing and installing again. Nothing we do allows us to complete level 1.

Good game, very creative. We certainly wouldnt be able to code something like this if we were a coder. Its fun to learn the mechanics of the game by trial and error; it gives you a chance to use your brain. Its pretty intuitive, though. Any more instruction, and it would lose the thrill of the challenge. Occasionally there are bugs; for instance, if you retrace your steps too many times you may have to clear the board and re-enter the same combination to advance to the next level. You will probably cruise through about 7 levels at a time and then get stuck on a hard one for 5 or ten minutes. We played for a couple of hours two nights in a row and finished the whole thing. Not sure that we love that we spent two dollars on a game that was so quick to finish, but we had a great time while it lasted. Would love to have it available for our students if we had iPads in our classroom.

This is a solid little puzzler right here, but we have noticed one minor glitch that makes the experience somewhat inconvenient. When you have a solution where two different color ribbons cross over the same square, if you drag the incorrect color over it before you drag the correct color (even if it shows the correct color on top), the game will not consider the level solved. You can still solve the level by recreating the solution but completing the correct color ribbon part first. We would greatly appreciate if this issue was solved. Thanks.

Challenging puzzles, but could def use a tutorial as well as a hint mode or solutions. Frustrating to get stuck on a level for days and no way to move on. Good concept, but not quite at the level where $2 seems an appropriate cost.

Help! Stuck on level 15 with no helps or hints or instructions. Need a way to skip a level if you get stuck.

Fun puzzle until you begin a level (Duality I) with completely new rules, but with absolutely no instruction on what the goal is or what the rules are. Going in thevtrash heap.

There have been a few puzzles that we’ve figured out and we wasnt able to advance even if we figured out the puzzle. It seems like you have to figure it out a specific way to advance in some of these levels, but other than that its ok.

What am we supposed to do? Tutorial or instructions, please!

Without instructions, we are totally unsure of how we completed this puzzle.

Cant make level 1 work lol… Best 2 dollars ever… How tf do we get a refund?

This game desperately needs a tutorial.

No instructions and its not intuitive at all so we cant even get past the first level.

No instructions just wasted money.

That guy at the top that gave it 5 stars is obviously the developers buddy. If after all the complaints and still no tutorial of any kind. What a waste.
