Dive into ColorFold 2

ColorFold 2 is a relaxing puzzle game that’s all about folding and moving colored ribbons – sounds easy, right?

The basic principle sounds simple: move the ribbons and fill all checkpoints with the right colors.
But it’s not that easy, I promise.

170 brand-new handcrafted levels and tons of new gameplay mechanics await you.
Use the new color-switches to change a ribbon’s color, use the new jump-token to cross gaps or push boxes around to open gates – these are just a few of the mechanics that you’ll have to use to solve all puzzles.

All of your solutions are stored and synced across all of your iOS devices once you solve a puzzle – that means that you automatically play right where you left off on all of your iOS devices, but also that you can take another look and inspect your puzzle solutions whenever you want to.

You’re stuck and need a hint? Well, there are three hints per level, which should give you a nice push in the right direction. You can use as many hints as you want – there’s no arbitrary limitation. Just do yourself a favor and use them as a last resort.

There are 170 levels in total, split into 10 acts. Each act introduces and teaches you new gameplay mechanics.
There’s also one extra hard level per act, called the star-level, which has to be solved without any hints. After solving a star-level, you’ll be rewarded for your valiant effort with a new color-theme.

Solve the first 8 star-levels to unlock act 9, where nothing’s quite the same anymore.

Long story short:

  • 170 handcrafted, brain-teasing levels
  • Tons of exciting gameplay mechanics
  • Universal app with iCloud sync
  • Taptic Engine support
  • No ads
  • No microtransactions
  • Beautiful auto-dark mode
  • 9 unlockable themes & app icons

Happy folding, times two!

Hear from the Players – ColorFold 2 Reviews

Find out what gamers are saying about ColorFold 2:

We love this game a lot. We’ve completed every level and we will say the theme we landed on is a CMYK theme which is wonderful. Any possibility of giving us a customizable theme besides the special theme. 7.5 is very challenging, but very much solvable. Its one of those, youll want to kill your self for not solving it sooner out of anger; or throw your phone against a wall. It distracts with requirements and a desire to keep the path taken efficient, with no excess folds or kinks. What you think you need to do just clouds up your judgement, inhibiting your logic. It took us months, almost a year, to solve. Bravo! On the design of that level.

Well we finally finished this challenging and engaging game. If it evolves to a ColorFold 3 level, Im not sure Ill be smart enough to complete it! For those who feel instructions are needed – they arent. This is a game where you learn the themes/ methods with each level then combine and build with each subsequent game. We got stuck on two games for a week each – they were solvable through trial and error and rethinking each approach. Some of the solutions were diabolical! We loved the beach sounds – soothes your frustration when you get stuck! This game will appeal to lovers of Quell. Thank you so much for hours of brain-bending fun!

We love this game. We like how they added new dynamics to the original instead of just more of the same. We have noticed that there are sometimes multiple solutions to the same puzzle, but the game will only recognize one. AND we are also stuck at level 7.5 and feel the hints are pretty useless.

We love this game and all the new features it adds but one level is unfairly difficult, level 7.5 is so challenging because the hints dont give enough info to mean anything, if anything the hints would need to do more for level 7.5 because we’ve been stuck on it for a week and a half! Besides that a perfect game.

Most games walk you through how to play or have instructions. There is absolutely no instructions on this one. Dont waste your money.

We like the puzzles but it is frustrating to play as it crashes and freezes constantly on our iPad. We have spent more time closing it out or uninstalling and reinstalling it than actually getting to play through it.

This game seems like it could be a lot of fun, but its ruined by two big issues. There are no instructions we can find anywhere. The are checkpoints that have two colors. Do the colors have to be on there in a certain order? We have no idea, and the game wont tell you. The other big issue is the controls. It seems like the levels have a set priority for the colors. So if youre working with a lower priority color and go into a square that could be reached by another color, it puts that color there instead of the one youre working with, meaning you have to move that other one to somewhere it cant reach the square first. Its needlessly frustrating. It should use the last color you did something with. Finally, the control issue seems to make level 1.11 impossible to solve.

When you solve the puzzle given the rules it should be solved, but the designers expect you to only solve it their way to be able to move on. Thats irritating, trying to guess which way they would turn instead of which way works within the rules of the puzzle. This shows lack of ability in program design to be able to accommodate more than one way to solve a puzzle. Kinda poor imagination on the designers part. Designers should have put more time into designing instead of rushing product to market.

No instructions make this incredibly frustrating to play! We try to solve a level, we collect all the dots with the ribbon, but clearly we’ve not done it in the order that it wants us to because it does not advance, does not give us any indication of what it expects at all. We are very angry to have spent money on an unplayable game!
