Gamer Verdict – Reviews of The Frostrune

Here’s what players have to say about their experience with The Frostrune:

I Also Love How The Hint System Is Free And

"Such a pretty looking game, the art and the music are gorgeous. I love the voice acting, and the visuals really gave the entire thing a cool atmosphere. Storyline is neat, and I’m learning about runes and bind Runes so it’s pretty cool to be able to read some of them in game. I also love how the hint system is free and they make them helpful but the puzzles difficult so it’s not just easy to blow through. Definitely one of the best games I’ve played in a while.", Ashton F says.

  1. This game took me back to the days of Riven and Myst but with a very cool Norse theme. The visuals and sound are amazing. The puzzles were engaging and I found myself fully immersed in the environment. One piece of advice. Click through all the talking blocks until they are finished. You may miss a clue if you don’t. I hope the gaming house and developers expand upon the Frostrune world.

  2. i loved this game so much -gameplay, music, story, art; the complete package- i replayed it at least two times, and STILL, more than two years later, check back every few months to see if there is a chance of a part two, or a similar game of the same developers, as i yet have to see another point-and-click (or even just puzzle solver, locked doors or escape the room) game, that is as well-rounded and intruiging as The Frostrune. and if you haven’t played it yet: it’s due time to have a look!

  3. Fun, easy and delightful game. When first installed, I agreed to let the app access my "photos" but not location. Game ran perfectly. I love this little game and went from start to finish in about 3 hours (including several distractions). Looking forward to playing again and seeing if the puzzles randomize or stay the same. It’s free and it’s wonderful.

A Google user: Gorgeous game. Plays well, and I didn’t see any ads. My main complaint is I found myself relying too much on hints in the pause menu. This is for two reasons: 1) some important features of the environment, like the pit and the beaver dam, blend into the background so well that I never thought they were interactable; and 2) the objectives are not very clear. Also I would prefer to have more puzzles about using tools, less about memorizing image and lock sequences. Otherwise, I loved the game!

Regina Myr Agnazata: This game was astounding in all aspects: concept, story, graphics, puzzles and effects. Learning a bit about the culture and myths while being immersed in a story was fun and amazing. The hints were free and there was no waiting for energy or in-app purchases. Moreover, I absolutely loved the music and soundtrack! If I could rate it higher, I would. In the credits, I saw the band name Wardruna. And I was just blown away. That was awesome to find out! Would definitely recommend.

Whitney Thompson: I was looking for a Myst-type game, and I certainly got it! The artwork and sound design are absolutely stunning. I’m super stingy, but I’d pay for future games from these developers because this one was just that good. The only tiny spot of trouble I had was continually mixing up the inventory and back buttons; it would have been nice if opening the inventory hadn’t obscured the back button.

cabadger11: Excellent game! Really tests your memory, logic & creativity. The runes, music, and setting are as historically accurate as any game I”ve ever seen. Best of all no ads and you can actually move around without paying 💰 every two seconds. It does take a bit of getting used to. It’s not a simple point & shoot game. You have to think. How novel is that?

A Google user: Really really loved the game. I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a good adventure/brainteaser/logical puzzle game. It really engages one from the beginning till the end. I give a 10/10 on the storyline, art and the animation. The hints are simple and on point (but do try to complete without using the hints, it’s more thrilling that way). Overall one of the best adventure games I’ve played in a while. Kudos to the team behind ‘The Frostrune’, great job guys.

A Google user: Best game ever!!, you don’t have to pay, don’t have to wait , the graphic is quite great, storyline also great, puzzle also great, not too hard not too easy and most importantly doesn’t use energy. I love it, please do more games like this, definitely I will play again. But need to improve more with the control, especially the back button. Overall, it’s a great game!!

Teagan Frisby: I would love another game like this! The storyline was amazing, the puzzles weren’t overly complicated (hints are also free!), and the design and art are absolutely gorgeous. I can’t get enough of Nordic style games! There are also no ads, so it’s a full immersion into the game. It was also really cool that all the dialog is in Old Norse (I assume)! That brought me even further into the game. I highly recommend this game! I only wish it was longer!

A Google user: This is the best mobile game I have played. The graphics are beautiful, the story is extremely compelling, the sound effects send shivers down the spine. The complete lack of ads leaves you immersed in the story. Hints are free allowing you to choose your frustration level before moving the story along when you get stuck. I also want to return to Norway and learn more about my Viking heritage!

A Google user: A mix of easier and more challenging riddles. Beautifully made in both artwork, and voices/music. This is like a fancier Myst game, where you open more and more of the map as you solve each riddle. Didn’t use the hints until much later in the game and that helped save some time. The hints are useful without being spoilers and giving you the answer outright. Brilliant! I wish there were more of these! I can’t believe the entire thing is free; no ads. Want to donate some $, but can’t.

A Google user: Fantastic game, especially for being free! Gameplay is simple enough not to be frustrating, but difficult enough to be engaging. Graphics are amazing. The voice acting is wonderful & adds a lot to the over-all feeling. I also appreciate that the parts of the game that use music or voices as part of the puzzle also have visual clues that you can use on their own. So, if you can’t play with sound, you can still solve that part. & no ads! I’ve paid for games that were not as well done as this one!

A Google user: Absolutely loved the game! The voice acting was an amazing feature, and a pleasant surprise. Hadn’t expected a game this great, honestly! My one and only complain would be that there’s so much backtracking and you have to load through so many screens before reaching your destination. It’s the only thing that bothered me. Maybe a mini-map would’ve been great to allow instant relocation? Though I can see people potentially missing clues that way maybe.. All in all, great game!

A Google user: I just finished the game. The graphics were lovely and the interaction was awesome! There was a new little surprise with each completed task. I LOVED that the hints were available without cost of life or coin. This is probably my most favorite game. I love mystery and puzzles and this was all of that. To top it off, the game was free. Though it isnt explained in the download, most very large games need the photo space access in order to save game progress

Sea Spirit: One of the best mobile games I’ve ever played and that’s coming from a very picky person. Great environment, sounds, effects and amazing voice acting and story. Very atmospheric and somewhat creepy but in a good way. It also has a sweet sense of mystique specially the singing parts. To top it all, its also completely free. Its only problem is it felt short and left me wanting more. Overall its a very unique experience for a mobile game and I highly recommend it. Ty for this masterpiece, devs.

A Google user: Beautiful, engaging, and the perfect amount of challenging. The hints were perfect and free, and overall I absolutely loved this. It could perhaps be more clear as to what is needed in some of the puzzles, but it’s so fun to explore the world I didn’t mind. Great job to the story and design team! I had no issues with click boxes either, it ran beautifully. Lovely adventure game.

Hamran Marman: An ABANDONED point-and-click game, with outdated Permissions that may be too intrusive for today’s standard. If you’re not that concerned (or know how to ‘protect your privacy’), this game is actually quite fun. Great graphics, great music and sound effects (compared to similar games I’ve played); and the story is great too (it doesn’t make sense, but who cares :D). Unfortunately, the puzzles are very, very, VERY easy. And straightforward. And short. No Google Play Achievement either.

A Google user: Lovely point and click adventure game, just finished playing through! The graphics are beautiful and detailed, with some limited animations to good effect. Fantastic sound design, loved the voiceovers and choir singing. A bit unclear what to do at times, found myself wandering back and forth a lot which was a little frustrating. I did appreciate the easy access to hints without watching ads. Overall solid point and click with an interesting story, devs seemed to put a lot of care into it.

Angel Williams: Absolutely wonderful puzzle game! Top tier graphics, music, simple controls, and a rich and exciting story to follow. The only critique I could give is that the area you are exploring/playing in is so massive that you can get a little lost navigating between puzzles. But the game is 100% worth it. It made me interested in norse mythology. I’m going to go read up on it now! I can’t recommend this game highly enough to any puzzle game lovers, or people who love a great story! Thank you Developers!

A Google user: OH my god. that was probably the coolest mobile game I’ve ever played. the art and music were beautiful, the story haunting but in a fantastic way. the puzzles were challenging but not overly so, and there are hints if you get stuck. i also LOVED that the voices were speaking in Norwegian, it made it so much more authentic feeling to the subject. the ending seemed to suggest sequels? PLEASE TELL ME THERE WILL BE MORE!

Raffy Gabayan: Really atmospheric and unique. Challenging puzzles with reasonably subtle clues. My only issue is there’s too many back and forth between locations and while that in itself is not bad, the transition from moving from point to point is really slow with no option for fast travel, so the game feels very sluggish at times. But it’s completely free so what more can I say.

A Google user: I downloaded this game yesterday and I just finished it. At first it was challenging, but I loved it to no end. The gameplay was on point, graphics were gorgeous, storyline was breathtaking, controls were perfect and the theme and music were just WOW! If you love mystery/adventure games, this is for you. I wish it was longer, it was just so mesmerising. I belonged there! 💚💚

A Google user: The music and art is amazing, the amount of research went into this game is awe inspiring and you definitely feel it’s a labor of love. The puzzles are quite challenging if you don’t use the blunt hint lol. Will be waiting for another sequel and will definitely play them again. (Are you making them? You’re hinting at it during ending, if that’s the case it’s really cool). Playing with Google Pixel 2 XL, smooth run.

Moses Koh: I enjoyed this game with a nice storyline. It’s challenging and requires one to be familiar with the map and memorise the clues. U also dunno if you are correct with the puzzle until u get it right. Which is good. I didn’t use the hints at all. So I had a good time figuring everything out. The music was awesome. Listening to the male chorus over the headphones was quite a surrel experience. Hope to see more of the same genre.

A Google user: A really neat and atmospheric point-and-click adventure of reasonable length and challenge, considering that it’s free and ad-free. Save for one puzzle that relies on audio to tell if it was done right, they’re all fairly intuitive and the available hint system gives just enough info at any one point in the game to figure out how to proceed without the risk of spoiling future puzzles. I wish we could disable audio and accelerate text, but otherwise, this is a very well designed game IMHO!

Amanda Howell: Fell in love with this game! Beautiful art and the music and voices used add an effect to the game that is beyond enchanting to me. The free hints were a pleasant surprise most of the time you have to watch an ad or spend money for hints which is something that grates on my nerves after a bit. The game was engaging and offered a bit of a challenge but not to the “throw your phone out the window” point. It’s not long but has replayability for me.

A Google user: The game is amazing. I was able to complete it without using any hints. The controls are simple and easy to use for the point and click style of gameplay. The storyline is a bit slow in helping you understanding the objective why your character is doing this but in the end it gets all explained. Love the forklore behind it. Well design game and no ads so a big plus.

A Google user: Absolutely wonderful game. The riddles vary in difficulty to solve, but they never get to the point of hating the game. The story is intriguing, though it does end a bit abruptly. The voice acting and the songs are gorgeous, and align with the mystery and magic of the game. I loved it so much, I wish it was longer! For people concerned about the permissions, I declined access to my videos and pictures, but allowed access to files so the game could save, and it worked perfectly.

A Google user: Hands down the best game in this category. I love the attention to detail and the stunning graphics. If played with the sound on, the music keeps you totally engrossed in the gameplay. I also admire the ode to Nordic mythology that’s been done very well. Of course, as escape games go, it’s got your standard moves too, but the real treat is the enchanted bits and the storyline with the Seer. Absolutely Sharing it with everyone! 😁

A Google user: I downloaded this game after seeing it come up a few times in my suggested apps, and it did not disappoint. The artwork was beautiful, and its pairings with the music had a very calming effect on me (which was perfect after long work days). Some challenging aspects here and there, but that’s what makes the game fun. I also really liked learning a bit about the Norse mythology throughout the story. Hope to come across more games like this!

A Google user: A gorgeous game that delivers on story, graphics, and sound design! It’s slightly slow and confusing in the beginning but once you get the mechanics and general idea of it, it gets easier and quite rapidly addictive. You might get disoriented by the mapping of the world but it’s not so big so you can easily go around it if you get lost :) Great game in all! I’d love a sequel :)

A Google user: Great puzzle game. Puzzles of increasing difficulty, but hints are more than enough. Note you will find many random things, and some don’t have effects until later in the game. So if it doesn’t do anything, revisit it later. Reputable sponsors including Scandinavian cultural institutions and Wardruna band. Permissions: Storage is reasonable permission for an app and game functions fine if you don’t give location. Maybe it’s for helping you choose the subtitle language or something.

Eric Zachareas: Fantastic game and completely free! No ads, no purchases, just free!! Graphics were very nice. Hints are plentiful and free, but sometimes they’re a bit too helpful, like instead of being a little vague and making you think, it’ll literally say, “Go to this person’s house and do the following things in order…” The puzzles weren’t overly difficult, and some were downright easy, but a few were challenging.

A Google user: I just completed your game and I loved it. The artwork and the historical accuracy were astounding. The music was also breathtaking and allowed me to fully immerse myself in the game. The puzzles were challenging enough to require my full attention but not so difficult that a player would get frustrated. Overall this is a fantastic game and I would reccomend it to anyone who enjoys point and click adventures. Excellent work guys, I’m looking forward to the sequel that was teased at the end.

A Google user: Interesting change from the usual point and clock adventure games with a different logic needed. Not perfect, it was slow and clunky on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 and kept slowing down to a crawl until I closed and reopened it. Could have done with a map, especially as it was so slow and the help was pretty useless. Still, I enjoyed it and it was free so can’t knock it too much.

A Google user: The game’s Graphics and Design along with the music was fantastically constructed. Leaveing me with hours of entertainment and fun. The whole historical piece of it made the game very exciting. Along with the game being free there was no ads and the puzzles were not too difficult to figure out. The game also includes a hint button to help you out when you get stuck. highly recommend this game.

Lindsey Dunaway: I really liked this game. It’s very beautiful. I loved that you can access hints without watching ads. Loved that there were no ads. My suggestions would be a different way to click out of inventory menu by clicking anywhere on screen not just the satchel. Also a way to click through cut sceens and/or click out of it altogether. If you accidently prompt it multiple times, you can’t get out of it, and some are long and slow. But really enjoyed it. Thanks for making it free. Good luck.

A Google user: Great game. I’ve never played an adventure game before. The puzzles were challenging, but we’re do-able with the hints provided. The visuals were fantastic, the sound design was good, voice acting was interesting. All-in-all a fun story! You can play without hints if you’d like, to make it harder, or with hints to make it super easy. The hints are modular so that they don’t spoil too much of the story, so don’t be afraid to use them.

A Google user: I cannot overstate how impressed I am with this game. The art style is gorgeous, the gameplay intuitive, but not necessarily easy, and the voice acting haunting. The story is relatively simple, but written beautifully so as to suck you in and really take you on a journey. It worked with no problems on my Lenovo Yoga tablet, the only thing I would have liked was a map for easier navigation, but I’m reaching here. I can’t believe it’s free! Thanks and applause, I’ll be looking up the developers!

A Google user: It’s a nice puzzle game with a good story that taught me of a new culture / myth from another country. I got stuck a few times and had to check a walk-through but I was able to finish the game in no time. There was a voiced part which is a nice addition, but if you’re used to skipping dialog like me, too bad, you’ll have to wait. The art is beautiful, the world is limited but seems different enough with newer areas to find as the story progressed.

A Google user: I was into this game and finished it in two days. The hints are really helpful. The graphics are good. I love the singing warriors and the puzzles are great. Not that hard but definitely challenging. If you are the type to play an RPG/Point-and-click game who keeps losing his way around the game locations, draw yourself a map. This is a definetly great game.

Nicole: WOW. What a story!! I just finished this game and had to come write a review. I’ve played games with the same sort of concept (like escape rooms and such) but this one was just fantastic. I was genuinely enticed by the story and couldn’t put my phone down until I finished the whole thing! Beautiful graphics and was actually a bit challenging at times. I admit I had to look at the hints TWICE! I don’t like doing that but I was too dang eager with this story! Thanks for the STUNNING game creators!

A Google user: Fun and challenging game. I really enjoyed playing it, but I got completely stumped in a few spots (the hints weren’t quite clear enough – I suspect the language barrier impacted the hints in a couple of places) – you may need to look for online gameplay hints/screenshots in some places (that’s what I ultimately had to do). Having said that I love a challenge and this was a really fun game, and it makes you think. The puzzles are fun. Nice art and mysic. I hope they make more games like this.

A Google user: It was really a unique and wonderful experience playing this game..it takes you in another world. One thing which I loved about it is that there are no ads in between, it’s absolutely free including all the hints. We really need more games like this, it completely engages you with the way its story progress. The graphics are beautiful and the theme is really unique… I really loved its nordic theme, music is amazing and matches with the atmosphere of the game. I highly recommend it.

A Google user: Absolutely stunning! Sometimes a bit back-and-forth gameplay but I love the art SO much and while the story is rather simple, the aesthetics, sound and voice acting plus the general puzzle style makes up for it. No ads, no payment, a rare freebie that’s full of beauty. Was going to play for a while but finished in one sitting because I got sucked into it. Thank you, devs!

Ika Putri: My God, I still can’t believe that this game is completely free and without any ads whatsoever! Even all the hints are free, though it can be a bit confusing at times. The story is interesting, the illustrations fits so well with the environment this game wanted to bring, and the spirit’s song sounds do majestic. My only critique would be the transition time feels too long, especially when trying to remember and go back a few screens apart to complete a puzzle. But overall, I enjoy it a lot! :D

A Google user: This was a fun, succinct puzzle game. It was enough game to be fun, but it didnt drag on and on unduely. It was never outlandishly difficult, but when I couldn’t figure out puzzles the hint system was helpful and not punitive or cost money. The quasi-Norse mythology backdrop was fun and unique. It was a simple, good-looking game that was fun to play. Makes me want to see more from this development team.

A Google user: That was great! The background art was very nice as well as the game mechanics. There were sometimes where it sent me back the way I came despite me not pressing the back button. The storyline is nice, sometimes the hint skips some steps, but overall, very good, intriguing game. Loved the voice acting, the atmospheric music and learning abit about the mythological aspect of it as well

D Anderson: Free, no ads, fantastic experience and game that is beautifully designed and produced. Was not easy but the hints were helpful – although they ranged between too much information and spoiler to still not knowing what to do. Only one time did I need to google for help though, which led to a full blown walkthrough from several years ago. Clearly, the game merited such a treatment. Only problem was that I could not stop playing so I finished it within a few hours!

A Google user: Beautiful art and storyline, and playing with sound on adds an extra touch of mysticism to an already great game. There are references to Skandinavian mythology and some supernatural elements, and while the story itself is simple, it’s definitely worth playing. The puzzles themselves are on the difficult side. I used a playthrough and finished the game fast but otherwise it can take longer. My only complaint is the difficulty of navigation, as I got lost a few times. Not a huge problem though.

A Google user: It’s an atmospheric game; especially with the ability to enter the spirit world quite early on. Logical, original puzzles (no Hidden Object Puzzles at all). Loved the storyline relating to Norse mythology. Quite short, but I definitely will choose quality of quantity myself everytime . No adverts either. Just took a little while to get into the habit of closing the inventory when I needed to travel back. Otherwise faultless, I hope there’s a second.

A Google user: The puzzles were a bit challenging at times but i feel that made it even more fun to play. The graphics are amazing and the art is even better. The enemy at the end startled me a bit which was awesome!😁 My only complaint was the hints system, its not that you had to go into the menu, its the fact it starts you at the top when the hint you need is near the bottem of the page. Over all though, this game was super cool and i hope a part two is made.

A Google user: I had a wonderful, highly-entertaining, and overall amazing experience playing this game. The story was fantastic, the graphics were astonishingly beautiful, and the controls were easy to grasp and employ. The developers also did an outstanding job of making it easy for a player to get hints if they got stuck on a puzzle. I have not played a better-made, more professional game app that was free. This deserves much more attention and love. I give it a 10 out of 10 for all aspects.

Kitty Sible: Unbelievable! Great graphics, music, story…not too hard, but not easy. Hints were great. I needed to use them a few times and liked that mostly they did not tell you exactly what to do, just pointed in the right direction. I’ve only played a handful of English subtitled games, but this was the first with English grammar being spot on. Very enjoyable. Great value. Look forward to playing more games from this company.

A Google user: Why did the story have to end like that??? Despite the game running slightly slow, this is the expirience I won’t forget. The puzzles were a little hard to solve, but I solved it eventually, with the help of the hints that was provided. If you like point-‘n-click adventure and Norse ledgends, 10/10 dead-@$$ recomend this. Good job, and keep up the good work, S.C.G!👍

Sofia Jeurissen: What a beautiful game! For appreciators if adventure and escape games. This one is a must. Great game design with a few layers. Gorgeous graphics, awesome use of sound in the game play. This is a game that’s not to be rushed. Kept me busy for quite a few hours of relaxed figuring out. There are enough hints to help you out. Can’t believe this is a free game!! And you can close the inventory so it’s not in the way of the back button. ;)

A Google user: Beautiful game centered around Norse mythology. Very good atmospheric game that builds interest early and keeps it going. Excellent sound and beautiful, stirring soundtrack and voice acting. Love the sight ability! I’m perhaps mid-way through the game now and want to explore further! Beautiful illustrations abound throughout with some with complementary fx that really brings it to life and while not every single thing is animated, when it is, it really stands out and works to underscore an important event or element. The game is simple yet elegant and says everything it needs to with minimal dialogue. Really like that they included hints in case you feel stuck too. I cannot say enough good things about this game it’s perfect and I am definitely picking up the PC version to support!

izeadot orizeaspeck: The storyline, authentic language, and occasional lovely singing are what kept me playing to the end. Beautiful and well developed. It’s a point-&-click (P&C) reveal-style game, which can be frustrating as I tend to prefer solving interesting puzzles as opposed to aimless P&C to find objects used in a strictly defined order. Perhaps a pointer that changes as you hover? But, the game is free, w/o ads, and is so very thoughtfully delivered. Thank you! Will look out for more from Snow Cannon.

Ayush Saxena: I really enjoyed this game. In the start I didn’t like slow speech but later I even enjoyed every dialogues. The puzzles were actually on the easier spectrum but it is for the best rather than banging my head for one puzzle for over an hour. Music was interesting. I just can’t get around the fact that there are paid games that compare to this free game. Appreciate the hard work of the people behind this.

A Google user: Phenomenal game! I dont usually play this genre of mobile game but it looked interesting and had great reviews. The art, the story, the soundtrack and effects, the puzzles… even the narrative text follows the style of the age (think the original Beowulf, complete with kenning and alliteration! smart and impressive). Creates a truly immersive experience in a way mobile games aren’t typically able to. I want an expanded pc version of this game! Use the hints if you need them (I sure did!).

Yili Lim: Ended up really liking the game but found the gameplay a bit frustrating at times as the clues weren’t so logical and I was trying to avoid using hints. But the story and visuals were great. I had only ever played 3D point and click puzzles games and wasn’t sure if I’d like a painted 2D style but it had it’s beauty. I also usually don’t have the sound on but for this one I thought the music and the spoken Norse brought the magic of the game to life.

A Google user: I cannot imagine the amount of hardwork and effort it must have taken to make this beautiful masterpiece. This is the only game released by the creator, so it says a lot in itself. Attention is given to the smallest detail. Graphics, music, transitions, colours, story, everything is on point It was a mesmerizing experience. Thank you so much for this beautiful game. Please make more games! :)

thegrinningcrow n: Short but very sweet game! A lot of care clearly went into crafting the atmosphere, sound design and overall aesthetics. Puzzles do not take gigantic leaps of logic to figure, which is always a plus, and the progression of the effect of the main character’s action on the setting felt like I was actually doing stuff and helping out! A charming game, worth taking a look.

A Google user: The experience was great! Great art, voice acting, music, and story!! It was worth a few minutes of my time. You won’t get stuck in the puzzles coz there are hints that doesn’t give you all the answers. It will still ask you to use your brain. It was really fun and not frustrating. I hope you get to publish the next one, the one that the seers finds in her vision at the end. Looking forward for more games from you, guys!

Shreelagna Mishra: It was so engrossing that I finished the entire game in one go. I didn’t even realise hints were there as I never came back to the home screen. I completed it without any help ( it means that the puzzle are not hard enough to frustrate one). A little mental wiring and rolling gears is enough to complete the game. Loved the Nordic storyline. The songs were absolutely enchanting. It was a beautiful game but most of all a beautiful experience.

Annika: This game is fabulous. There are definitely some issues with interface; travelling back and forth long distances is often slow (maybe a map mechanic or something similar would help?), but it’s completely minor and the art is gorgeous, so it’s fine. The story is lovely. The soundtrack and voice acting is amazing and the puzzles are just difficult enough to keep you engaged but not frustrated. And the Norse mythology woven through it is really lovely too.

Joanna Wesson: Excellent little game. Especially for free. Lovely background graphics and storyline but music did get a bit annoying in places. Top tip, when the spirits talk, read the type as listening and reading makes you lose track of what your supposed to do 😉. Major downside is there’s no map. So if your memory map skills are lacking, draw one, as there is lots of backtracking/walking about.
