Community Insight:
We love the simplicity of this game and its retro feel. Perfect for when you need a quick break from life. We only wish the author would give the option to play the harder levels without worrying about fuel. The meteors are a great challenge, but too often you run out of fuel before you can land.
We were looking for a classic lunar lander type game. This one is quite close, but has some drawbacks. 1. Easy Levels start with the lander right above the pad so you don't have to move sideways much. 2. Once asteroids start flying at you it is quite hard and not as fun since you still have very little fuel. 3. Fuel level and speed are useful, but are represented by a number which makes you take your eyes off the lander to read it and risk crashing. A graphical (bar) representation would be better. Overall it's somewhat entertaining but not addictive enough for us. Only buy if you're into hard repetitive games.
This is the worst of the Luner Lander games Ive found on the App Store. There isnt even an animation to show the thrusters. Pathetic.
We think the creator of the game kept the old-school feeling, but made it fresh and new by going on missions good job.
Okay, we cant speak to earlier versions of Comet Lander, but as of 8/17/23, this is absolutely the best lunar lander type game since the original. We would even go so far as to say that its better than the original. Great vector style graphics, lots of options, perfect playability, easy to learn and difficult to master. Great fun. Our only complaint is that we wish the lander were about 20% larger than it is. Other than that, our thanks to the Devs for making Comet Lander such a great game.
