A Glimpse into Crossdots
A Crossdot puzzle starts as a grid of empty cells. Your goal is to find the hidden picture, using logic to determine which cells to color. The numbers outside the grid are clues that help you figure out what to color in each row and column.
This popular logic puzzle is known by many names, including Nonogram, Paint by Number, Griddler, Picross, Pic-a-Pix, Hanjie and many others. To add to the glorious chaos we’ve chosen our own name: Crossdots.
FEATURES
- Interact directly and intuitively: tap a cell to color it, tap again to cross it out, again to clear. No fussing with crosshairs or switching between pen and eraser.
- Stop tapping a cell and after a few seconds it will lock to prevent you from accidentally changing it with stray taps. Double tap to unlock.
- Long press then drag to change multiple cells.
- Pinch to zoom and resize the puzzle to fit your device screen.
- Undo back to any point in your puzzle history.
- After you’ve solved a puzzle, watch an instant replay.
- Highlight a row or column to help you focus on what you are solving.
- Puzzles are single color; you have the option to switch colors as a tool to help you find the solution.
- Automatic saving of puzzles: come back to the app and pick up right where you left off.
- Puzzles are organized into books. Each book offers the first few puzzles free to try. Buy the book to unlock the rest.

Just discovered this one and love it! Lots of puzzles.
It took us a long time to do the Global puzzle but we finally got it! Please, please, please create more puzzles! This is our favorite app!
Great puzzle interface, good selection of easy to challenging puzzles. We wish there was a puzzle creation mechanism where you could make your own or input puzzles to solve in the app. Id settle for more puzzle books made available for download.

We’ve tried many Nonogram apps, and this is by far the best in terms of interface, puzzle variety, and documentation. The only additional feature we wish for is the ability to change the color of the 5-mark gridlines instead of simply making them bolder. Thanks for a great app!

Similar concept to sudoku. Fun and very addicting.
Once solved the pictures go large to enjoy. They are much more artistic than other similar puzzles.

We really like it! Some of the bigger puzzles are pretty challenging, but it’s good!
We like the interesting mix of easy and challenging puzzles, but the controls could use more features, like being able to fill in more than one square at a time. More color choices would also be nice since we like to change the colors on the filled in squares after we finish solving a puzzle to make a pretty picture. The price of unlocking a book is reasonable.
Griddlers, or nonograms, are always solvable by logic alone, and that is our main criticism of this app – some puzzles just aren’t. We like how the grid guides shade themselves as you solve. The puzzle controls are a little lacking, but there is one fun feature we haven’t seen elsewhere: the instant replay after a puzzle is complete. It’s surprisingly satisfying to watch your work recreate in time lapse. We wish there were more free puzzles available, because we only had one evening’s worth of amusement here. If there were some updates, maybe just a free daily puzzle, this would easily be our favorite griddler app. As is, we guess we’re done playing it.
We love nonogram puzzles, and this is by far the best app we’ve found for them. However, we finished the available ones, and we’re dying for a new pack to be released. I’d love to see an update regarding if a new one is in progress and a tentative release date if there is one. Overall, great app.

This game is really fun! We usually don’t like puzzle games but this one is really fun! It is a good mix of fun and challenging! We definitely recommend this game.
We love this game. But it would be nice if you made hints available, especially for those of use who purchased the packs. Not everyone’s able to figure it out without a little help.
We really like the game but it won’t let us buy the third book. Also wish there were some hints.
Ever since we updated this app it has been acting weird. We can’t purchase book 3, it always says error. We deleted the app to redownload it & now we can’t restore our purchases. Please fix. Update: can we please get some more puzzles.
Every time we get to the last dot on a puzzle, it closes!!! Very frustrating. When we reopen the app, it takes it back to when the puzzle was about half completed:(
We really like working this game but we can’t get any new ones because it says there is an error or that we’re not connected to the store. Very frustrating!!! Our internet connection is fine because everything else is working famously. We would like to contact the game developers but can’t find a place to do that. What good is a fun game if you can’t get beyond problems like this?

The only thing we would change on this app would be the ability to reset a solved puzzle so that we could play it again! We hope they come out with more puzzles soon because we finished them all!
We have worked these puzzles for years. We started out on paper with a pencil and now we can work them on our iPhone. We have tried other apps of this kind, this one is outstanding!! Cannot wait for more puzzles!!!!
I’d say this is one of the better nanogram apps but it’s stupid that a box has to be X’d out on either side of a finished section before the number will be crossed off as completed. Or for that matter that every single box has to be filled or X’d for the puzzle to complete. If you want a great nanogram app. Download Crossme. That app has everything the other apps have right and none of what they have wrong.
