You are a prisoner in Rosemire Castle. The residents of Rosemire have fled from Asmordos, a ruthless warlord who seeks the hidden chamber of Malvadius. Legend has it that the chamber contains the powerful magic of the Archmage Malvadius.
Escape the dungeon and find the chamber before Asmordos reaches the castle grounds. Use your wits to solve the many challenging puzzles encountered throughout your adventure. Travel through the darkest depths of a medieval dungeon and explore the rooms and passages of Rosemire Castle. Discover and use over 70 different unique items to help locate the hidden chamber of Malvadius!
During your escape you can use the in-game map to see your location within the game. If you get stuck on a puzzle you can use the in-game hints to help you progress further. The in-game journal will record the clues you find throughout the game.

This developer has always produced great games. This one is near the best of his games. A lot of puzzles are difficult and we personally go to sleep on a tough puzzle and give it a shot the next day (I will not use a hint and wish we could opt to get rid of the hint button to avoid accidentally pressing it). Usually a lightbulb comes at some point and soon enough we figure it out. But these puzzles are very clever and smart and really rack your brain. There is a logic to each puzzle though, they are not totally arbitrary. We read one review about someone liking the game until one puzzle which he said was too "tedious". It was only tedious because he hadnt figured it out. Once u figure out the mechanics its not hard or tedious whatsoever. Anyway this game is a great point and click adventure with truly original puzzles. We highly recommend it!
Some tricky puzzles but very enjoyable.
This game was surprisingly fun. Though we thoroughly enjoyed an earlier game, Cryptic Labyrinth, with its somewhat simpler but still worthwhile puzzles, this installment, as many other reviews noted, was much more involved and fairly difficult. There were a few times when the use of items didnt seem particularly intuitive, but most were pretty logical. Its the puzzles themselves, though, that really set this game apart. Some of them were truly unique from the other escapers we’ve played, which we really appreciate from this dev. At least two or three of them seemed rather obscure at first, but ultimately required several levels of extrapolation and somewhat intense study of cause and effect to produce what turned out to be, for us, amazingly satisfying solutions. Additionally, the music was nice, the story was pretty good, and the graphics were spot-on. We were actually a little sad when we finished, but we just downloaded another of their games, so Im hoping the same quality carries through into that one as well.
We love this escape game!! Our favorite is they divert you to YouTube for hints beyond what the game gives vs making you pay! GRAPHICS ARE AWESOME. PUZZLES ARE CHALLENGING. AND STORY LINE IS EVEN GOOD! DOWNLOAD NOW AND GET TO PLAYING!!!
Challenging puzzles that are different than most other games. This kept us going for a while not a quick game.
That have no logic. We enjoyed the game but the door puzzles were really hard after scene 6. Items collected didn’t always seem to be reverent to any particular puzzle. So we did buy another game and hope it is a little better. We like the point and click games, graphics are awesome.
There’s no way to reset an individual puzzle, you’ve got to reset the whole thing from the start. Very badly designed.
Love all of these games.. We are also a big fan of The Room and Forever Lost.. The Cryptic games are awesome.. The puzzles get harder as you get closer to the end. No crashes, great graphics, hints and link to Youtube for help.. Love it !!!!
We love all of 3D methods games, this one is fun and challenging. Recommended if you like puzzle games.
Better than any Big Fish games by far. Excellent puzzles. Good story.
Always a good time with 3D. Only one problem we found with this one…. The ending. We wish it was more challenging. No spoilers, just not much to it for the last obstacle.
