It’s rated 12+ and currently has 9,350+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Cytus II Stand Out

"Cytus II" is a music rhythm game created by Rayark Games. It's our fourth rhythm game title, following the footsteps of three global successes, "Cytus", "DEEMO" and "VOEZ". This sequel to "Cytus" brings back the original staff and is a product of hardwork and devotion.

In the future, humans have redefined internet development and connections. We can now easily sync the real world with the internet world, changing life as we have known for thousands of years.

In the mega virtual internet space cyTus, there exists a mysterious DJ legend Æsir. His music has an irresistible charm; people fall madly in love with his music. Rumor has it that every note and beat of his music hits the audiences in
the depths of their souls.

One day, Æsir, who had never shown his face before, suddenly announced that he will be holding the first mega virtual concert —— Æsir-FEST and will invite a top idol singer and a popular DJ as opening performances. The instant the ticket sales began, an unprecedented rush occurred. Everyone wanted to see Æsir's real face.

On the day of the FEST, millions of people were connected to the event. At one hour before the event started, the previous world record for most simultaneous connection was smashed. The whole city was on its feet, waiting for Æsir to descent from the skies…

Game Features:

Community Insight:

We love this game so much, been playing it since 2019. However, recently, some of Ivy's songs won't load so we can't play some of our favorite levels. Hopefully this problem is fixed soon so we can beat our previous high scores. Love you Rayark Games.

We need to finish it to unlock other characters, but kept getting crashed.

Everything about the game is phenomenal however Im having the issue of trying to redownloading tracks and it will stay stuck on the loading screen. Any way to fix that issue.

First of all, we want to say the art in this game is stunning. A rhythm game doesnt need fully animated anime cutscenes and backgrounds, but they did it anyway, and we couldnt be happier. Honestly, its a big step up fromm Cytus we. This game is the only reason we didnt give Cytus we a 5-star rating. It sets the standard.

A original take on a rhythm game with beautiful animations.

To be honest, Ill write so many things here its not funnybut it will be.

This game is actually really fun! A friend introduced us to it and we have genuinely enjoyed playing. The story is comprehensive and interesting and the gameplay is superb :). A lot of other games fall short when it comes to both the design of their characters and the development of their personalities, but not Cytus! The characters are dynamic and they each have their own unique personalities and stories. The gameplay is challenging and engaging as well, with multiple difficulty levels for each song(all the songs are really good too!). Our only complaint would be that a lot of characters are paid, and to unlock them all it can become pretty expensive. Which is honestly fine because you can still understand the story without them. All in all a wonderful game would 100% recommend.

We used to love this game, played it a ton a few years ago. Well, recently we decided to reinstall it and play for a bit, only to find that no amount of toggling cloud data transfer, hitting the restore purchase button, or restarting the app will bring back everything Ive done on our account over the years. Our progress, purchases, etc. All look to be completely gone, and it looks like Im not the only one. Super annoying, especially since most of our favorite songs only unlock super late into the story.

First of all the game worked fine for our iPad mini 5 but now it crashes during the credits on our a16 iPad and we cant proceed into the story. Please fix this if you can in the next update.

We love this game! But every time we come back theres 3 more character or 20 more songs slapped in our face begging us to buy them. We used to play this game when there were only about 8 characters total, it was the best game ever! We understand needing money to continue the game, we understand thats how all games work but the free things we used to have before in this game suddenly need us to pay for them and it doesnt feel nearly as fun scrolling through the songs and seeing 10 locked songs you need to pay for The only fun we have is reminiscing while playing the older/original songs and seeing the funny social media commentary thats part of the main mission. Besides that Im not too sure anymore :( Near the beginning when they came out with more characters we did buy some, they were definitely worth it! But we just dont think Im rich enough to continue buying every character and endless amount of songs Also did you guys REALLY get rid of your art team and replace them with AI artists? Please tell us you didnt.

Cloud save is broken, it is a known ios player issue, emailed them about it, they know the issue, but idk when theyll fix it. Youre best bet is whipping out your ipad mini4 and playing on there again.

They added a song list, search, song favorites, and listening to previews of dlc songs. Game has 0 flaws 10/10.

We had fun playing this game for years. In October we had to replace our iPad, but unfortunately, Cytus II has a sync issue with iOS 18. We lost every last bit of our progress, including song unlocks, character outfits, and in game currency. We contacted support immediately, and they said they would fix the issue soon. We followed up a couple times, waiting 6 weeks or so in between mails. They still say they will work on fixing it and we must wait for them to make a Facebook post that its fixed. They still havent posted, and it still hasnt been fixed. Im not sure they intend to fix it at all. This is frustrating for someone who spent a lot of money on the game just before the sync issue. We cant play again because Ive lost all of our progress. Do not play this game if you anticipate buying a new device in the future.

Genuinely we have so many good things to say about this game. We adore everything about it, between the music, gameplay, the story, the characters and the art. The music is good but what really drives Cytus II to have become so special to us and for it to be so good is the characters and story, everything it complex and well written and theres just so much to these and the game itself. We adore this game so much.

Would have been a solid game if not for all the contents you have to paid for lolz. We remember when capso wasnt a paid feature.

We were an avid player for about a year, and we stopped playing it for about a couple months, and in that span, when we tried to log back in all our progress had been removed and we were forced into a new account.

Love the gameplay and story, but the in app purchasable content is a bit steep. Fortunately you get a ton of content for the initial $1.99. We dont mind spending a little to support good developers but it adds up quick. We were however surprised at how immersive the story is.

Ive been playing mobile rhythm games for a long time now. Ive tried out quite a few and have never left a review. The production quality, sound, charts, characters, story are all astounding. The diversity of genres based on characters is such a great touch too. We initially played this game just as another rhythm game to add to the list, we didnt even realize this was a story based game at first. The game has a unique way of telling a story through IM boards, conversations, pictures, animations, and even through the songs. A common complaint we see is that there are too many things to purchase. This is understandable as there are many DLC characters and song available for purchase. Granted, there have been many sales over the years. Ive also always looked at situations like this as pay for quality. This being said, the story is not locked behind paywalls. Buy the app and you can play through the entire story. The DLC characters do add to the overall story but you can think of them as more of side stories than the main campaign. TLDR: 10/10 game, worth the cost, amazing characters, story, animation, charts, and, of course, music.

This game never fails to keep us entertained. We always used to get bored of games fairly quickly, but Ive stuck with Cytus for over 10 years now! The game mechanics are so fun and different from other rhythm games Ive seen, and now with Cytus 2, the visuals and story are so much more detailed, elaborate, and beautiful.

Skip the story; its garbage, but no other music game so perfectly takes advantage of the iPads unique we/O. Plenty free tracks to play and we think buying some songs is also worth it.

Nah. We support this game. AI or not, this game rocks.

AI will take over everything since its insanely cheaper. If the art quality is good then we dont see a reason for hiring real artists, its a waste of money honestly. This will happen with everything eventually and you cant do anything about it.

You know all we have to say about Cytus ll is that its the best game Ive ever had!!! Its really fun to play and listen to music at the same time! We loveeeee music and we always have so this is the perfect game for us.

This game is great but the chaos songs are harder than they used to so please bring back the normal.

Ive been playing Cytus II since the launch, and Im proud to support it. The gameplay is incredible, and the story is one of the best we have encountered in a game. This game has kept us engaged for years and is one of our favorite Rayark games alongside VOEZ and Implosion.

Its fun, the music slaps. Just wish everything didnt cost money.

Best rhythm game ever! Sometimes we have issues with the game recognizing our taps but Ill put that up to our fingers being too cold and not tapping hard enough . So many different kinds of songs to jam to and increasing difficulties for each song allow for everyone to get a chance to enjoy this game! Cytus, the first one, was a super good game but Im finding that Im enjoying this one much more.

Game is absolutely great and we love it but the only problem we have is that for some reason the game deletes all our save data and we cant seem to get anything we have and lost all of everything we hope theres a fix for this or can help us fix this problem.

Loved this game, still do. But hearing that they use AI art AND fired their artists is deplorable and should be considered a crime.

Amazing game! Too bad Rayark is doing AI art now. Dont give them your money.

Amazing game, until rayark changed to ai and fired all their artists.

This was a nice game to play, however the recent termination of your artists in exchange for AI art is disgusting and is disappointing to say the least.

Dont buy Cytus or any Rayark game anymore period. They recently fired all of their artists and went ahead to replace them with AI DONT support this company anymore they only want to make a quick buck now and no longer care about the value of artists in the slightest. Anyways, remember it is always morally correct to pirate games from companies who would steal from you.

As a long time fan of cytus II since the launch of the game we are disgusted with the actions of Rayark. Ive followed the game since the beginning but will now delete and no longer support this awful company. These actions are inexcusable, the art is what gave the game its soul. Seeing a company carried by its artists betray them like this is reprehensible and deplorable.

At some point, this was our favorite rhythm game. We loved this company, where we listened to beautiful music and enjoyed the equally beautiful artwork. But now they are using AI to make the art. What a disservice to their real artist team and the player base.

Literally so disappointed, we loved this game so much but to hear that they fired all the artists for ai is literally so upsetting.

Great game! The storyline is so interesting and we love the art but sadly the studio is using AI art recently and even hiring AI specialists to potentially even use more AI within the game.

It used to be a great game, with interesting story, though now the said "tech takeover" is ironic, as the game has entirely shifted to AI and thus fired all creative teams. Please stop supporting the game, please do not buy packages within the game.

We really loved this game so much. The playstyle was close to a basic rhythm game but moves around the screen, which makes it more fun and is great for the touchscreen, we also love the layout which makes the game feel like as if youre experiencing the events through social media and news sources which is so cool. Unfortunately, the company who made this game recently fired all of their artists and replaced them with AIs, which is something wrong on many levels. Often capable artists have trouble finding jobs and making adequate amounts of money, and on top of that AIs are trained off of non-consenting artists work. Artists deserve to be paid, and their art shouldnt be used for this kind of thing without their consent. As someone whos put years into art and animation and hopes to someday dedicate their whole life to it, we cant bring ourselves to play a game that treats their artists like this.

Recently have heard Rayark has started employing the usage of AI for the current and future projects. Because of this we refuse to support a studio that chooses to use a soulless method in developing art all for profit. We recommend you do research on the subject before installing this game. Its quite frankly a scummy practice.

We loved Cytus 1/2 and Deemo but we cant support the company if theyre going to fire all their artist in favor of AI art work Im disappointed and will never support this company again.

Rayark, the company behind the game series Cytus and Deemo, recently fired all of their artists in favor of using AI art. Especially for a game like Cytus 2, whose message in its entirety is to warns against the over usage of AI and apathy of those around you, this is unforgivable.

We used to play this game religiously for its extremely well made art music and writing. We found out recently that this company uses AI generated images instead of paying artists now. It's already hard enough to get a job in the industry as an artist. Having our hard work get discarded like this only to get replaced by cheap copies insults us and many other fans of this game. For a game that's all about the dangers of AI you folks are extremely hypocritical.

As beautiful as this game is, we cannot support a game nor company that has fired all its artists in favor of using ai art.

The developer literally fired their entire Art Team to replace them with AI. Dont support this company or these practices.

First straw was firing their musicians for protesting, second straw was firing all of their artists and replacing them with AI art. Unacceptable behavior, we loved this game but they have no morals and we cannot support it anymore.

The games this company made are really nice and we once loved nearly all of them. Just a shame they threw out their staff to cut costs on making art.

We used to love this game, but after hearing that Rayark canned their artists in favor of using AI generated art, we cant play this game in good conscience anymore.

This is a game that we used to really enjoy, but since rayark fired their artists and replaced them with AI that they cannot even bother to manually retouch – look at the hands, the shoulders, etc. On their recent artwork – its difficult to enjoy a game by a company that takes the easy way out.
