Find out what gamers are saying about Dark Parables: Queen of Sands – A Mystery Hidden Object Game (Full):

Enjoyed this one. Look forward to more like it.

We’ve played this game, and bonus game, twice. We enjoyed it both times. The art work is beautiful. The characters interesting. Only thing it lacked was a cute helper but it was good without it. We recommend this game.

We were hesitant to buy this because of some of the bad experiences we had in the past with the Dark Parables series, but we knew we had to take a chance when we saw that Eipix was the developer for this. We’re glad we did! Excellent graphics and HOPs. Totally loving this! Great job Eipix!

This a great game. Colors are very good. No problems at all. We could not stop playing. Let’s see some more of this type. Grandma Betty 54.

Another good one, we love the dark parables, this one is no exception. We are just in chapter 2 but so far so good. Graphics get better and better with each game.

Really beautiful graphics. Interesting the Red Riding Hood sisters play in this game. Mini games are nice. Hops really fun. All in all great.

This was truly fantastic. The parables are always great. This is a winner. Great job Epix.

Was not expecting that at all! Plot twist.

We have enjoyed all of the Dark Parables games. We’ve played them all many times. We can’t wait for the next game to come out!!

Dark Parables continues to impress us. We can’t wait for the next one.

Loved it. Great series graphic are great, storyline.

It is great to have the Red Ridinghood Sisters back!

The world you enter is beautiful and filled with exciting challenges. Choose your level of difficulty. Worth your time and $.

The Dark Parables series is very good, and this one is no exception. Beautiful, beautiful game. Another good story with good puzzles and h.o. Scenes.

We always love the dark parables games, this is a game that you can play right from start to end cause you don’t want to put it down. Great game!!!!

Queen of Sands has depth and width. The graphics are great and the movies are cinematic. Lots of great many games, and the bonus section is wonderful. We especially liked the ability in the bonus section to go back and hunt down the souvenirs and collectibles.

It kept our interest but it’s way two short for $7. It took us only 2 1/2 hrs.

Did Blue Tea Games get bought out? We liked these games much better when they did them. They were in a completely different class. However, now that we’ve said that…… This game is still better than most put out there. The graphics are beautiful and the puzzles are good.

We play a lot of these games, and the Dark Parables are consistently the most beautiful and enjoyable ones. We love all of them and often go more slowly just to enjoy the gorgeous environments. Keep them coming!!

We really enjoyed this one, decent story-line and great graphics with a good amount of HOPs. We would recommend it and any sequels.

We adore the Dark Parable series and this installment doesn’t disappoint! Eipix did a wonderful job on this twisted up take on classic fairytales. Each game in the series plays as a stand alone and every single one has been beautifully done. They take a standard tale and twist it on its head – fabulous artwork, sane mini games, transporting map (tap where you want to go then tap the picture of the destination in upper right corner of map to transport). Collect fleur de lis (three prong French flower symbol) in every scene, keep your eyes open for collectable figurines which unlock a book of fables. You get help from the Red Riding Hood sisters (kick butt women who are wicked awesome with a bow and arrow) and you are trying to stop a wave of nightmares and trying to catch a beast… But is the beast friend or foe? Verdict: buy, enjoy, play often and see fairy tales from a whole new angle!

Yet another excellent game. We can’t get enough.

The game is a lot of fun. The hint button is very helpful.

The Dark Parables series was our favorite of all hidden object games. This new developer has made a great effort at continuing the series and we applaud them for carrying it on. Have enjoyed it so far but it lacks the Blue Tea quality. RIP Blue Tea Games but fortunately, that doesn’t mean the end of the Dark Parables series, hooray!

We love all of the dark parables games. This was a little more challenging due to the HOS being a little tougher, but still a lot of fun.

This game was beautiful! Easy navigation but we just felt like it didn’t flow right. Also we don’t mind some of the HOS having little pics, but they the whole game? Variety? It was nice long game time tho. Worth playing but not on the top 10 list.

. . . Which carries a lot of credit with us. Just the opening screen with the Red Riding Hood sister is incredibly beautiful. HOGS were fine with us. Unlike some other reviewers we don’t mind looking for jewelry pieces, although some variety in the HO games would have added another star. Still, super eye candy, love that.

Great graphics, mini games and HOs. The game is pretty good, but in need of improvement.

We have a difficult time to download the guide. It just doesn’t work.

If you like shimmering, glossy ornaments, perfume bottles, and folk tales, with some extremely creative mini game and HOS activity, then this game’s for you. Okay, we’ve decided that generally speaking, a game like this is what it is. We didn’t play it for the story line. But we enjoyed it immensely for the gorgeous design and graphics, and couldn’t wait for each new mini game surprise. We’ve never encountered such fun mini games. We had to play them over twice more at the end. Bonus content is good. Morphing objects and collector items, fun. We’re not familiar with the prior series stories as we’re relatively new to Big Fish offerings, but as we said, if the story doesn’t grab you, play it for the rich surprises within. And for any who don’t like creepy storylines, this held creepiness to a mild level, ramping it up only a little at the end. Not bad. Hey, everyone has a creep level they will or won’t cross. We respect that. 4 1/2 stars. (I save 5 stars for a great story line plus everything mentioned above. A greedy old man who risked his soul to get rich with his perfume recipe and ruined his son’s life? Sorry, but we have to snicker. Made for beautiful swirling graphics, tho.)

We loved it just like all the other dark parables games . We can’t wait for the next games to come out.

We like this game series and this installment is great but we have one issue. We can’t find any Parable pieces that make up the small side stories! Where are they? Anyone else having this issue? Please help!

Oh, Dark Parables. How could you be beautiful and have all the fundamentals right in this game… And still only net 3.5 stars? Here’s how. The good: while not as detailed as Blue Tea used to do, this series is still simply gorgeous. Rich colors, detailed scenes, etc. Fun minigames, HOPs that create things, and long play time. Sound overs and cut scenes all great. No glitches and quick loading time. Good to see some of the old DP characters, too. The bad: crummy storyline, too much back and forth, and just a general sense that everything has been done before… Many many times before. It just didn’t hold our interest, so we guess the upside of that is that it is really really a long game! The HOPs get a little old, and we never truly felt engaged in it. Obvious plot but you still have to follow it. Not worth purchase price unless you can just enjoy the scenes and take your time. Hope all are well. Thank you again reviewers for all the great reviews. Xoxo.

Good game that measures up to the high standards & quality assurance that this company adheres to. Unfortunately even though the characters, animals, background scenario, etc. Are well drawn out and vibrant in their presentation, along with the voice synchronization being almost perfect, this adventure lacks pizazz, does not hold ones attention for very long, and at times is not very clear in its unfolding of the "tale" within the adventure… Plus, did not like map, and definitely could have used a journal incorporated within the game in order to help one with the flow & understanding of the tale.

We find the fragmented HOPs very boring and usually click randomly just to finish. While the graphics are good, the entire story was very us satisfying. Not the usually top notch Dark Parables.

LynxMinx: we do not recall seeing any particular creatures or a lot of them to cause problems. The traveling through the tunnels mainly consists of quick cut scenes to other locations. Nothing should jump at you. We think that the games are so top notch that you won’t be disappointed and will be brave as always (hee hee) to trudge through it. Play "Secrets of the Mafia" first to get an intro to the series. It’s as good as "High Voltage." Don’t forget about "Lost Lands 2". Download the apps by clicking "Related" and "See All"; then open up the iPad apps for the company to get to the right games. Google sometimes comes up with inactive versions. Also do check out Paranormal State: Poison Spring. It’s great! Hope you have fun! This will not be a usual thorough review; not feeling this one. No customized settings; no journal (only pick up snippets of info intermittently); boring, single type of HOS with zero interactivity; map is ok depending on what mode you are playing; mediocre graphics, clunky transition at times, interesting puzzles (one of the better aspects); labeled and interactive inventory; collectibles, and nice extras including souvenir room. We’re finishing because we bought it; otherwise we would have stayed clear. Hopefully tomorrow’s is better. We’re sure that you reviewers look for other HOS games out there. There are several good ones that we think are worth checking out as follows: 1. "Paranormal State: Poison Spring" – this gem is just getting noticed even though it has been out for a while. Read our review on the App Store; but believe us, this is one you do not want to miss. Only $2.99 with bonus chapter and extras. 2. The developer, known to some of you as FIVE-BN UK LTD, just released a new one entitled, "New York Mysteries: High Voltage". This is the same developer who created "Lost Lands 2" and the original "New York Mysteries: Secrets of the Mafia". They are all available to play, and you will not be sorry. We will be playing High Voltage shortly. 3. "Questerium: Sinister" by G5 is FREE this week; head over to their main web site and look to the right for their scrolling weekly deals. We played this last year and it was a good game.

Before we played this game we read the fabulous KimTwilight’s recommendation about the New York games by that unheard of developer. We really appreciate it and have loved all the games you have recommended thus far! We are playing and loving the Mafia one (except for the collectibles and morphing objects, which we are basically ignoring) and am enjoying it immensely. We will play the sequel per your recommendation! Thank you for caring and giving us the update! Lynxie loves and appreciates you very much! Btw, we also wanted to kill myself during the bubble shooter game in the Mad Head game! Dream Team Elite, play whatever KimT recommends. She knows what elements in games we want and is giving us more games than BigFish! On to the game. Yes, it had gorgeous graphics and magical cut-scenes. Inventory was labeled, and there were plus items to assemble. There were 3 levels of difficulty. Loading was instantaneous between locations and there was a marked teleport map, if so customized. You collect fleur de lis symbols and morphing objects for the parables. But we simply did not enjoy this game. We wanted to but there was no journal so we felt out of the loop and the storyline didn’t flow. When a new objective was added, it didn’t say what it was; you had to go into the menu and tap it. The map was annoying to us. Why can’t you tap on a location and just go there instead of tapping on a picture for said location? All the HO scenes were fragmented, and we hate those! We did not like a lot of the mini-games. The game was very short, even with bonus adventure. We really do not like this series anymore! Maybe we are burned out right now! Lynxie sends to the Dream Team Elite!

We have LOVED Dark Parables! The graphics, storylines, HOPs, and even how at the end of one story they lead you to the next with a sneek peak of what’s to come. Yet that was Blue Tea Games. Don’t get us wrong, the new developer has done a good job trying but it’s not the same. Sadly we don’t think we will be buying anymore Dark Parables because it was just not the same…… We don’t know if Blue Tea games is out of business or not but if they aren’t they need to go back to them ASAP!! So our two stars isn’t because the graphics stink or the story line is horrible (even though it was super boring and slow) it is because it just isn’t what we want or expect from Dark Parables. Star Wars needs Harrison Ford, Back to the Future needs Michael J. Fox and Dark Parables needs Blue Tea Games. It is what it is!

We wanted to like this game, and in fact came back to it 3 or 4 times before we finally gave up. This game just couldn’t hold our interest. The story line was dumb, the mini-games were either too complicated or too easy, and there seemed to be an endless supply of missing items that didn’t really progress the storyline. We probably got about halfway through before we gave up. We’ve played all the other Dark Parables games, and have enjoyed them all, except for the last 2 or 3. We guess these games are made by a different company now, and we won’t be buying anymore as long as they are. Blue Tea was better. Too bad.

Not recommended for iphone, maybe ipad.

The original Dark Parables were great games, now it’s just cheap wannabe. Why did they change the creator? Make us want to stop playing these games. Too sad.

We had a really hard time liking this game, it just went from location to location with no rhyme or reason. There was no continuity of anything, just go here for this thing and then go someplace completely different for another thing. We had to use the hint all the time just to find out where to go. We appreciate games that at least you are able to follow. Not worth what we paid.

We bought this game and when we wanted to play it again some time later, it shows that we never bought the game. So if you only want to play this game ONCE it’s a decent game. Oh btw BF is no help.

Its sad. Dark Parables was put out by a gaming shop called Blue Tea Games, and their games were simply really good. Almost as good as the original Mystery Case Files games. Sadly this game clearly illustrates what happens when a foreign game shop tries to carry a series forward with any real depth or understanding of the content or target audience. Mis-named items, crudely constructed stories i.e. What is a snake charmer and cobra doing in a French town with a English castle in the background!!!! We would pay more if they would only us a team that had some semblance of understanding of what they are doing. Ok, enough wining, we are going to download the first Ravenhearst just so we can have some quality. :(
