New update looks great. Will be perfect again after the deck testing feature is fully implemented. Always timely set updates. Best thing about this app is that according to Apple it does not collect any user data! Awesome. Thanks TJ Soft for keeping it real.

The new version caused us to lose all our decks, like many other people. The new UI is absolutely terrible, we dont know how anyone can consider this a positive update. Save your money and find something else! This was the BEST deck builder before the last update. Please roll it back.

Been using this program for a number of years now. Love its search features and how we can manage our collection with it. Makes building decks easier as we know what cards we own or not.

We’ve been using this app for years and we couldnt be happier with it. It started off pretty great and theyve steadily improved it over the years. Easy to search your collection (or all mtg cards) for useful words or phrases like when a dragon enters or sacrifice an artifact Extremely useful tool for deck construction.

Great app in general, but missing all Arena-only formats, including Historic, Brawl, and Historic Brawl. Will update to 5 stars when those are included. Perfect app for brewing builds, but without those formats it’s missing key functionality for mtg in the age of Covid -19.

We’ve been using Decked Builder since it was first available only on the iPhone and got this as soon as it came out. We’ve loved the products, but as theyve diversified theyve become less attentive. They still havent released the database update for the set released 2 weeks ago. When we contacted support we wasnt given a timeline or date for release. Instead we were told to join their Beta program to test new software for them. Unacceptable, and not what we’ve paid for. We have 3 Apple devices we’ve bought this app on, and Ill be looking elsewhere now.

Cant import files from TCGPlayer. Cant delete and manage decks. We want our $2.99 back!

First card we searched for wasnt in the database. Archelos, Lagoon Mystic. Trash application.

Best app on iPad for mtg that we know of.

We’ve been using Decked ever since it came out and have found it an excellent deck building app as well as an awesome collection manager.

Looks like they finally upgraded their code base to get off the "unsupported app" list for not being 64-bit, etc. This has been our go to app for looking up and managing M:tG collections for a number of years. We had thousand of cards entered easily from dozens of expansions when we were at our collecting peak. Our kids like to use it for building their crazy deck ideas. We bought the full set, iPhone, iPad, Mac, years ago and it’s been a great tool.

Great app but cam scan needs to be able to scan all sets. Other free apps do this without issue. The FAQ states it is due to CPU lacking enough power but just knowing many other apps already do this makes us think that a false statement.

We love the version on ipad but the version on iPhone STINKS… We purchased the camera scan for ipad but it will not apply for the iPhone it wants to charge us again. Please help if you can. Thanks Michael I.

Still passable, good enough Still lists silver-border stuff as commander legal, and has no ability to search by color identity, making it much weaker for that format.

This app is a great utility and to us a necessity to any Magic player. It has so much purpose and usefulness, if you like getting random cards from packs in stores then go ahead, but with this app you can make custom decks from one cards to hundreds, and order them from a selection of websites to ensure lowest possible price, and get the cards you want. It’s really great.

The app is excellent for building decks. Search feature is very robust and we love the ability to test decks, link through Dropbox, and order cards directly to tcgplayer.

Newest update crashes when trying to upload list for sharing.

Perfect software and perfect execution. Even more so, after having a slight problem, the developers were in constant email contact, personable, polite, and helpful. These cats know what they’re doing. Can’t say enough good things. Well done, guys.

This app is easily the greatest asset to us in regards to MTG. From organizing our collection, to building new decks, Decked Builder has it all. Trying to organize our collection in the past has been very difficult, but with this we’re able to add, delete, and change our collection very quickly. In regards to building decks, Decked Builder is a must. Building a deck (outside of drafts) used to take a whole afternoon and half the family room floor, sifting through tubs for hours gave us a head ache. Decked Builder allows us to easily search by any criteria to find cards for our decks that we never would have known existed. All in all we’re very happy with our purchase of this app. Many complain about the price and the add ons. We would rather have just paid the full amount instead of having to buy each feature individually, but feel that the purchase was well worth it. We have recommended this app to many of our friends and hope the developers will continue to add new and helpful features. After our initial purchases, we would hope any new features would be free. Thank you developers for this incredible app and for putting your time into improving the MTG community! <Edit> The addition of the Frontier format under the sets criteria part would be welcomed! AlphaMag71.

This app is honesty the best we have seen so far for building decks, the up front price is worth it and it’s features are simple, easy to use, and the availability of cards, especially with the database updates and the real time price sources are great.

Thanks you. This helps alot with deck building!

The app’s functionality is great. Almost all the cards printed are available through it, and we love the "View on Gatherer" button. We like the pricing sources, even though we find some of the prices shown are out of date. I’d suggest some virtual dice or multiple life counters for gameplay, though. Our only complaints are that collections are difficult to deal with (to delete, rename, etc), and a couple expansions like Tempest Remastered are occasionally forgotten, or just not uploaded for a while. Other than that, it’s more than worth the money!

This is one of our few top used apps. We are constantly tweaking our decks and entering new ones to try out. The iPad app is our most used version, though we also use the iPhone and macOS versions a lot. However, the iPad version needs to be updated similar to the update the iPhone version received. Please don’t abandon the iPad version.

We really love this app. We have had it for years and it has helped be build decks and trade more effectively. The only think that we wish it had was a way to see promo cards like judge foils, full art promos etc…

Ever since one of the newer updated our iPad version of the app will not and cannot upload decks anymore other wise it’s a great app.

Decked builder hd is expensive, yes, but it does its job and does it well. UI is simple and easy to use, once you get the hang of it, but could be better. It seems like they tried to cram too much in without utilizing their free space. For example, card search on the deck building menu is crammed into the bottom left corner of the screen, when there’s a ton of free space all the way across the bottom of the screen in card and detail view. Also, card scanner add on is ridiculously over priced. We are sure the card scanner is nice, but another $4.99 for a tool that took maybe 5 hours to code (not including troubleshooting) is a little ridiculous. Maybe if you could scan multiple cards at the same time, without having to input the set, it would be worth it. All in all, not a horrible app. A little overpriced (especially the camera add on) for what you are getting, but with a little improvement, and lower prices, this app would be worthy of 5 stars. If better screen space management is implemented, we will update the score. This app has a lot of potential, and we hope to see it be the best it can be, but it is hard to justify at these prices.

Love the app and functionality however, why on earth would we want to buy this iPad app without the card cam or the collections add-on? $5.99 for the app, $4.99 for the camera and $3.99 for the collections add-on… That’s about $15 for the full app… Not to mention that we now must still spend more money if we want the app on our phone plus both of those upgrades too? And the same goes for our computer… So total for 1 computer and 2 devices is about $50+…? These are all tools that any patron of magic will use and considering that it’s a collection game, it is really sad that this company wants to exploit their customers. So for that price, we would expect full functionality but, the collections add-on does not have the ability to edit which release the card you have is printed from. The app auto assumes the most recent prints. As a collector, we would really like to be able to edit the release because we have really old cards and would like to have an accurate count of our cards including which release it came from. Please fix the editing issue and we will revisit our review.

You have to BUY the collection add-on and then you CAN’T add cards in the collection page screen unless you buy the camera function. There is no way to add cards using only the collection page. Very poor implementation in regards to this and what you need to use this app is not clear. The idea is great but it’s not intuitive or clear of what you get at all. BEWARE!

$5.99 does NOT get you all the advertised features. Be prepared to spend a lot more if you want the card cam or collection functionality. Not to mention if you want multiple devices.

It doesn’t work the way every body says it does.

Honestly, this has always been our go to app for developing and brewing deck lists. However, since the last patch made the Share Deck button only upload online: our usability of this app has now dropped. Before, we could have simple deck lists we could email to friends and just have a simple raw document of the cards we need. Now we can barely even upload the deck online without it crashing. Please restore share by emails.

  1. The UI isn’t very intuitive. 2. There is no option to delete a collection, rename or move it. 3. Regret buying it!

This is our favorite tool for deckbuilding, but we’ve been extremely frustrated since the update. The new "share" feature is awful. We used to use this app on our iPad to easily build a deck, then copy and paste a simple text version of the list onto public deckbuilding sites like MTGDeckbuilder or TappedOut. Now, the only option we’re given is to copy and paste a URL address for our list, where our iPad doesn’t allow us to copy the full list.

Best tool that we’ve found for building new decks and ordering cards.

After all of the bad apps we’ve tried, this is the best. This is essential for an mtg player! It’s worth the money.

Love this app. We have it on our desktop, iPhone, and IPad. We just wish we could run the newest versions on our iPad 1, but alas the cycle of apple upgrades makes it so that we can’t. (newest DeckedHd only runs on iOs 6+, oldest iPad only runs 5). We will be honest, running this program is the main driver to us wanting to get a new iPad. Sad, but true.

Best app ever for deck creations… Invaluable for all types of players.

We have tried several methods of cataloging our collection, and this is the only one that actually works. It is also an easy way to see what other cards are out there to add to our collection. The only thing that is not so great is the camera collection feature. We really don’t like having to update each expansion database for every card we want to take a picture of. We would like to simply be able to take a picture and have it automatically find the card in the correct expansion. All-in-all, the best app for mtg!

Decked is great for tracking your collection (including foils). You can also build decks, test-draw, and tweak without having to pull cards out of your boxes. There’s a lot going on with the interface, so there’s a bit of a learning curve (figuring out how to add cards to your collection instead of a deck, for example), but once you’re comfortable with the app, it’s fantastic. So far the only thing it seems to be missing is the ability to recognize Promo cards. The full app is a little pricy (including unlocking the camera feature and the collections feature) – but if you’re going to spend hundreds of dollars on cards, the cost of this app is more than made up for by its functionality. Decked is an absolute must-buy for any serious collector or deck builder! (And you can absolutely delete decks.. Go to the "manage decks" window and swipe left!)

Our go to before building a deck it is just amazing. So many options.

Cleanest, quickest deck builder there is for the iPad. We have every builder in the App Store, and this has been the only one which satisfactorily meets our deck building needs when away from our desktop. At $6 it’s pricey, and we’re not a fan of in-app purchases, but we’ve found these to be worth it. The workflow is outstanding, and the design is aesthetically pleasing. Download this app!

It takes a little time to enter all of your cards, but you will be able to virtually build, play test, and order any cards that are not in your collection. As a reference, coypu can look up any card by dang near any criteria you can think of. We’ll worth the price.

This is a necessity for anyone with a collection going back to the 90’s, is only active in the magic scene casually and does not keep up on new releases. In other words us. It helps us find cards we want to put in decks, allows deck pricing and can even find the cheapest version of a card. The only limitation is that you cannot record foreign or promo cards.

This app makes it very easy to search for new cards and building a deck. On the ipad it’s much better than competing apps as you can search for cards, view cards, and build a deck on one screen.

Just amazingly good software. It is completely integrated with the software from all their other platforms. Great user interface and well updated. We could not be happier with this software.

After reading other reviews we were a bit reluctant to purchase this. After playing with it we decided to spend the money on both the collection addon and camera addon, boy what an amazing time saver! We have cards from as far back as the revised edition and we were able to scan in almost 1000 cards with our ipad in just a couple of hours! Great app no crashes no lag just solid programming!

We too miss the auto-card drawing when advancing turns. For us most of the recent changes have been good. We wish the app had an even more extensive card catalogue. Most importantly promos and such. Tokens. Etc. Great app overall! Keep up the good work!
