This game kept us busy for a few weeks which is rare for a mobile game. Youd expect more grinding, but its not too bad. Its fun to come up with new layouts and adapt to new strategies. So enemies feel cheap, but its pleasing to get soldiers from further areas to come back and get revenge. Cute story elements are also appealing and help. We were a little tired towards the end, but we also was a little conservative. We dont think the store works anymore so youll have to grind a little, but its not too bad.

Please make the Stage where you battle the village elder and you are facing a elite Reaper easier. This game is very fun with tons of cards, a upgrade system, and lots of strategy needed. We’re in world 3 and this is the only stage we have found to be to difficult everyone other one can be beaten even if it takes a couple try’s. This game should really get more attention cause with more developers and updates this could be a top charts game Update:after many many tries and lots of luck we beat the village elder, then the hydra second try, and the final boss we annihalated on the first try with a couple stun characters. Glad to find a bunch of units we didn’t have but disappointed we didn’t get some of the bosses like the reaper. He even had a normal and elite version. So did the final boss. Update:please add the oculus and keep making updates for this game! We have played at least a thousand apple app games and have been playing them since the iPod touch first came out. This is one of our favorite games of all time!

We’ve been off and on playing it for almost 2 years. Its a nice way to lose track of time. The art is incredible, and the play style is exactly what we love. Obviously has a couple bugs but they arent detrimental to the enjoyment of the game.

A lot of fun and time consuming.

Great way to pass time and artwork is good, it takes some getting used to in the beginning but very addictive wish a little more could be added to it tho.

We really like this game but, there is a bug in the pirate quest and we can’t go any further. We googled it and no one else is having this problem apparently.

Great game love mechanics and everything it’s a little grindy at the beginning if your not good at it like us but once you gain experience it’s a perfect game.

This game is quite a lot of fun, but the newest update, while generally feeling like an improvement, introduced a showstopper bug: it is now impossible to explore the second zone. It seems that if you have already explored it, you can travel between landmarks, but you can’t explore to reveal new landmarks; all you can do us leave. Once that’s fixed, this would be five stars.

We’ve seen consistent crashes on fights featuring two Elite Taskmasters when the enemy takes a lot of poison damage at the start of their turn. The AI stops, and one of the Taskmasters will light up with sparkles, as if waiting for player input. You can cast the whip spell on any legal target on the enemy side, and then the AI doesn’t know how to proceed. It even gives you the option to Fight or Retreat, but because it’s the enemy’s turn nothing happens. We have to restart the app each time.

To unlock this last star all you have to do is stop it from freezing mid battle. It mostly occurs when the computer has multiple abilities ready to be activated. That darn whipping Panther freezes when there are two… We kill them first just to stop a freeze…

This game has a cool strategy that is very addicting and well over 10 hrs of great gameplay. The game is free and there are no paywalls, it is enjoyable progressing alone. Once every 20th battle or so the gam does have the bug mentioned in other reviews, it locks you into the enemy players turn with no way of ending it. When this happens we simply close the app and reopen it. The auto save will let us continue from the beginning of the battle, so it’s not a big deal. We’re sure the deva are working on it as we speak.

Game constantly freezes, can’t progress storyline. Hope you fix soon, have very much enjoyed the game.

Stuck on a boss not because of difficulty but instead because the game glitches out every time we try to face him, the level 24 boss battle near the mines. The game locks us out of a turn and we can only activate skills of the enemy, noting else can be done except to leave the battle. Several graphical problems pop up as well such as areas of the map overlapping others for no reason and card graphics becoming and staying red. Real solid CCG that is fun until you run into bugs, we suggest you wait until this game gets patches.

The game locks up constantly. Especially against the lvl 36 Xeolumes. We have been stuck on this stage for 3days with the same lock up each time. Please fix and update soon. Ty. Otherwise great just job on this game.

Locks up during battle vs miners.

We absolutely love the game, but we found a problem. Sometimes whenever you finish a battle, you get a special offer, normally affordable. However, we found that sometimes you will win a battle and they will offer you something that you WOULD HAVE been able to afford if you had the money from the battle, but since you get the offer right after the battle, you don’t have the chance to collect the money to buy the offer… It’s our only complaint, so great jobs guys!

Only disappointment? It’s not completed yet. Despite what some others say, the battles are well balanced. It should be tough to roll straight through the game. A little grind is a good thing, and thid game has a variety of options. It is really, really good. We’re hoping that, after a wildly successful run of this game, a sequel is made that explores more of the world and reveals more of the magic that makes it how it is.

Once you start playing it’s hard to stop.

Solid game, and they seem to be updating.

This is a REALLY nice game and congrats on this but the boss fight where they have the birds nest is just way to hard to defeat if you could, can you PLEASE make the game just a little bit easier?

The game is good and fun. But moving your character throughout the map is too slow. Can’t really see the need for such system.

We like the fact that we can choose to play any card in the deck. Unlike other card games where u have to draw the cards every turn. It have only a few down side, u can’t battle other people. This may be a good thing, for now, because there is not enough cards to create a wide variety of decks.

Absolutely love the style and strategy and the fact that there is no annoying stamina bar!

Love the art on the cards.. Someone mentioned this game on the touch arcade forums and had to give it a try… We are thankful that we did.

We love this game! It’s gorgeous hand drawn map and card art. Good story that draws you into this world. The card game it self is well balanced and enjoyable to play. It has the feel of a birds eye view open world RPG. Sadly it is not perfect. There are some glitches, which just got updated today, we will have to play through again to see if they’ve been ironed out. Will update our review soon. When will the story continue? Anxiously anticipating the next chapter, with or with out the bugs. :)

Gameplay is a lot of fun, like the art direction and characters, playing on a 5s.

The basic concept of the game is great, we like the battle system and card gathering a lot. It feels like it borrows from games such as Disciples, Etherlords, and King’s Bounty. But the overland travel is just awful, it’s the worst monetization feature we have seen in a F2P game. You basically click on a destination and you have to wait for your figure to slowly arrive, sometimes taking more than a minute. You can pay iap currency to skip the travel time, but there is a LOT of travel in the game and thus a lot of downtime where you sit and do NOTHING. We are OK with timers between battles, but this is ridiculous.

Good game but has an IAP mechanism that kills any joy. They purposely make travel slow, will happily speed it up with IAP.

Downloaded the game to our iPad 1 and tried playing it. It doesn’t load.

The combat is nice, tactical, and fun. The animations are smooth and well thought out. There are no framerate issues and the hand drawn/painted environment and characters are stunning. The dialogue is witty and the story is original. We were absolutely blown away by the lore. The two currency system works fantastically. There are a few graphical hiccups and the pathing can be finicky at times. We wish the cooldowns and travel took less time. All in all a fantastic game that we would not have minded paying money for. We hope there are expansions planed! Keep up the good work!

The core card battle mechanic is good but the tedium of constantly waiting for moves is overwhelmingly awful. Of course you can play it like a real game if you spend a ton on the ingame currency. The devs contempt for their users shines through.
