Why are we here? So you can drive far too quickly and, ooh, I dunno, how about drop a nuclear-powered submarine onto the track to destroy the other racers? Just to claim victory for your own selfish ends? What kind of person are you?
Anyway, someone seems to have written some kind of brochure for this thing, so I’m just going to read from that now. Ahem.
“Experience edge-of-your-seat arcade racing in a world rigged to explode. A racing experience like no other!”
Who writes this stuff? It’s still quite like other racing games to be honest, you drive a car, you go fast. There really are a lot of explosions though, so that bit is true. What else do they say here?
“Tactically collapse and disintegrate the track to open new routes, and risk hazardous shortcuts to gain competitive advantage.”
OK yes, you can definitely do that. Let’s be real, the whole thing is extremely hazardous. Driving a racing car round an exploding race track is a pretty hazardous thing to do.

Yep, you can definitely play online against other monsters, there’s a great big career mode full of cool challenges that I personally designed, and you can play against your family and friends. As if you have any friends.

To be frank, they’re just repeating themselves here. It was never going to be “impossible to learn and incredibly shallow” was it?

Is that a lot? They seem to think it’s a lot. I guess it is quite a lot. How many is a ‘mountain’ though? I reckon they’re trying to hide something.

I don’t really know what that means, but it sounds pretty impressive, you have to admit.
And that’s it. I reckon it sounds pretty good, but I would say that, I’m in it! In conclusion, you should definitely play my game.

Well designed racing fury BLAST! Give it a try, reminds us a little of a game called Dangerous Driving. This game has more action to keep you bust becoming the best Demolition driver. Thanks.
The games good,nothing bad we can say about this expect when we first joined as a noob,it got hard real quick,still we recommend this game. Truly a experience thats pushes you to the LEVEL! (which we love of course)
We downloaded this game to just pass the time and wanted something different. Man, we are really enjoying this game been playing it with the Backbone and the controls are smooth. Its like Death Race so we love the concept of the game.
First, this game is a ton of fun. In our opinion these are a few things that could make this better. 1. Obviously more tracks, episodes and cars. 2. You could extend gameplay even more if the tracks were regular, mirrored and reversed. 3. Multiplayer mode is not good. We’ve tried many times and we’ve only had one race. 4. We would also like to do more than two laps. Maybe not all the races but some of them at least. 5. A tournament mode would be cool. 5-10 races and you accumulate points based on where you finish, how much you drift and how many opponents you strike.
Now this is racing for non-racing gamers. None of that forcing irl physics on you because wheres the fun in that. When you drift around a corner the controller support is intuitive not a handicap that requires learning. This company did their homework with controller support.
This is a great game plan on doing a little review over on YouTube with a more in depth explanation on what is going on with the game . In short we gain achievements yet when we go to Game Center it says the game has 0 achievements. We cant play daily challenges because it wont show the leaderboards. Those are our two complaints. We’ve spend almost 2 hours on this game thats a lot we only played 10 hours on Harry Potter and that a console game. We like this game a lot its definitely 5 stars even with the problem the challenges of getting the stars progressively get more difficult its a balanced game almost always makes you feel slow in the beginning and a rocket by the end Thanks for putting together a graphical masterpiece for the system its on! Much respect !!!

This game is a destructive. Difficult. Exillorating racing game like Split/Second. And we think that it is amazing personally. Its split/second in your pocket!

We love this game! Very intense and addictive. Only complaint is we beat all levels too quickly. Hope a update with new levels would be available.

You can use your controller and its very fun, awesome music, radicalized drifting around corners, wreck other players, its ultimately the best racing we’ve played in awhile.
Within 10 minutes of downloading this game, we were instantly obsessed. Its clearly heavily inspired by an older Xbox 360 racing game called Split Second, which we always thought was super underrated. It takes the ideas from that game, and puts them in a more cartoony atmosphere. The vehicle handling may take some time to get used to, and we do wish there were more cars, but other than these minor criticisms, this game is awesome, and definitely highly recommended.
We loved the game all the up to episode 8 after that it got hard for us. We dont know maybe its easier for others.

We really enjoy the game and plowed through the story mode quick. We just have a couple gripes – why does the pack of other drivers burn off at the start of every race and your own car just putters along? We thought it was just part of getting the upgrades but its the same story now with full tens across the garage. -its frustrating when you beat a explosion and literally see your car driving away fine but the game still decides you wrecked. We did not wreckI dodged the wreck. Its usually when pushing through one of the closing obstacles. -I never see anyone to play in the online version.
We just want to say, Im loving this game, we will keep playing this game and try to 100% it, its a fun idea and Im digging it. That being said, we have some issues. 1. The leveling system is, and we mean this as politely as it can be, really stupid. First off, having demolitions give you experience (effectively) is irritating and we feel that it favors a certain playstyle, one that we get is the root concept of the game, but it feels like a copout nonetheless. We could forgive this, however, if it werent our second complaint: we cant choose which car Im leveling up!! If Im practicing with Ruffian, we dont WANT TO GET upgrades for Kaos!! It feels arbitrary and while we see that its spaced out, to us it should make sense to level up the car that You Were Driving. 2. This is a personal problem, but some of these demolitions feel dumb how unavoidable they are. Idk, there hasnt been a single part in the campaign we havent jumped over the hurdles for so Im probably just griping about nothing, but we wish it was clear the paths to avoid demolitions, or at least a button to restart a level if Im trying to do a perfect run. Im just complaining about things we dont like though, in hopes the developers take this into consideration. If youre just downloading this game we strongly recommend it, its a lot of fun and a great concept, Im really glad we gave this a shot instead of downloading some run of the mill racing game on the app store theres probably a million of.
This game is really fun. We like the driving experience and game play. Only real issue is that it freezes often, forcing us to Force Quit and start the game again. This happens often. The good news is that is saves the game play, so we haven’t lost any progress. It only freezes betwee races.
This is a fantastic game on our iPhone 12 Pro Max, with all the eye candy, explosions, and drifting goodness you could ever want in an over the top racer that never slows down and never takes itself too seriously. HOWEVER, whats up with the online quick play MP feature that NEVER loads other players? Its hard to believe a game this fun doesnt have anyone else on the entire planet ready to jump into a room and race!
We love this game, but one thing bugs us. When you play a race, the same opening sound effect plays. Not only that, but in a race, a very short loop plays in the background. Its kind of repetitive. P.S. Could you add internal combustion engine-powered cars?
We love this game. It is very fun. Combining racing with explosions, brilliant. The reason we cant give this game 5 stars is because of a multiplayer issue we have. We cant do any multiplayer in this game. If we try to do a quick match, our game crashes. When we try to create a local squad, we cant invite nearby players like friends, and we cant get invites. For some reason, there is a lock symbol for join online and create online squad, so we cant do any multiplayer. We logged into Game Center and adjusted settings on it but nothing worked. Please help. If our Game Center account is the same as our username, it is HydraPhoenix56.
We have been playing for only a few days but so far we like the graphics and the controls are easy to learn but the game is still plenty challenging we will see . So far so good.
Is there any way to sync your progress between iPad and Mac for example? There are no ways to connect support at the developer website.
We were able to complete the entire game in under a week. There is no replay value to this game since once you beat it you are done. Doing the same tracks over and over and over again does not make us want to continue to play this game.

We are really enjoying this game! So far we have only played through the "episodes" but we like the game play and the characters are neat. Dr. Boom reminds us of Joker. :) we do have a few issues though – we think the game could be better if the they created more tracks – certainly more tracks are needed. Also, the game crashes occasionally, which we have not experienced with any other Apple Arcade games… Here’s to hoping there are some updates – and some new tracks added in the future! (If not, we still get quite a kick outta the game)
We really like playing this game, its a cool idea and a good game in general, but in of our biggest issues with the game is the Bot racers, while playing the story its nearly impossible for us to get all three stars on some older and current races, due to us getting constantly blow up, rammed into a wall, or getting flung out of the map by some unknown reason, and its quite frustrating, really wish this stuff could get fixed but it most likely wont.
Freezes commonly making us have to quit and restart it. And we were playing it on ipad, but its easier with a controller on mac. But the cloud saving does not work at all and we can play it on any other device with our progress. When those thing arent problems, its really fun.
We’re running this on a laptop and it seems to have a hard time. It’s crasing a lot. Fun game, easy controls, just wish it was more stable.
Just finally completed the game and unfortunately 2 stars is all we can give it. Detonation Racing has some cool mechanics, the drift being one of them, and of course the detonation. The issue is the detonation mechanic ends up getting so repetitive, and once you see them happen a few times you can pretty much avoid all of them. The challenges in the missions are also not great theyll have you drift for 250m on maps where you have to sabotage yourself and drift against walls to hit the milestones. We guess this is done so you HAVE to replay missions In order to get all 3 stars, but it feels really not great. The game is also incredibly buggy. Slow motion glitches, losing control until you close the app, and being launched by nothing mid race happened to us quite a few times. For being free, its a fine toilet game. Once you beat it though we wouldnt expect any replay value, it gets very tedious very quickly.
This game is literally terrible, like you cant even get past one of the racers in the game while you are racing. The graphics are great. But it gets annoying later on. Five minutes into the game like we were already behind every other player we couldnt even get past one.
We just…. With the amount of computing power we have…. This is ridiculous. We cant believe that these arcade games are the same as the ones we have available on our phone. What am we doing? The best part is, we got arcade 3 months free with this purchase….. This has no place on a Mac Studio.
Theres 4 achievements that are bugged. If you cant make achievements work dont allow them.
Ima keep it real we wanted to like this game we really do but Im getting cheated out of our 3 stars like we getting challenge but been playing this one race too many time and still the same dumb crap we dont got time for it.
This game is S tier TRASH. Nothing about this game is fun in the least bit. The controls are a joke most of all.
This game is beautifully made and works great with razer kishi controller.
The drift physics can screw you over, the sense of speed isnt quite there and theres no damage modeling (the only way you can tell if you wrecked another car is the game tells you!) its ok for the price but its just not there yet.
The tutorial pops up right in the middle of playing and wants us to perform actions at an in opportune time which cause us to fail the race . Why not just show all of the race actions and mechanics in the beginning tutorial instead of the first race.
We’ve reported this bug several times now. We made it through all the episodes, tuned-up all our cars, and then the game lost the progress. (Now when we play it does not even allow us to tune up our cars, but we can still get the missing stars.) we have photos, but the developer seems un-interested in fixing this. That annoyances aside, they is one of the most fun racing games we’ve played in a long time.
