Dictator 2: Evolution Reviews

The game is great and the only thing we would change is when the bankruptcy happens you can actually use youre own money.

We really enjoy the game, but we do think that the cards need a little more balancing. There are multiple cards that can wipe out the entire opposing side, and thats a bit game breaking at times.

A very frustrating game. You cant possibly hope to last unless you either pay for in game currency to upgrade your military or spend an excruciatingly long amount of time upgrading your military. We already paid to play the game, quit trying to rip us off.

The start of this game is infuriating. Some progress from previous games sticks around so the first couple plays are guaranteed losses with no hope. It gets better. Include instructions thats not the walkthrough cause its easy to miss something and we would rather find it and read then running through the tutorial again.

Its way too hard to keep all the factions happy and the game asks for money way too much. Also if u want to last a long time DONT EXPAND. The game is already hard enough to keep ur factions happy, just try keeping multiple countries happy. Another thing is most of the time ur losing more money than ur making. All in all we know its a strategy game and its not supposed to be easy but this game gets frustrating. Just on a side not for the developers. If we make a decision that upset the mafia for example (tell them they cant steal police cars) then only the mafia should be upset about that. We dont understand y The People and the POLICE lose points because we told the Mafia they couldnt steal Police cars.

We loved this game on Android, so we picked it up for iOS And we have no idea how to pay to remove ads. The menu is just not intuitive, at all. Its a five star game, but be prepared for constant advertisements.

Good luck having fun on your first or second, or third run! The only way you’re going to beat the high-level countries without dumb luck is with cheese strategies which may not work if the A.I. Just has better cards than you. Getting cards is absurdly costly, leveling up cards takes way too much time, and in the end it’s not worth it because the game is tiny. The game is fun, or at least – it tries to be, in it’s own mobile strategy game way, but after a while it’s only so fun. We don’t suggest this cheaply-made klunky game unless you have a desperate amount of time. Overall, 2.4/10.

Will force you into dead end situations where you can either buy extra cash or lose immediately due to bankruptcy.

Way too hard to keep all the factions happy and deal with the other dictators.

Fun core game, but a few major problems… It asks for money at basically every step (after you pay money to buy it?? Come on) and pretty atrocious English mistranslations that often mean something different than they’re supposed to. To get a lot of money you have to wait a long time, which we guess is expected in a lot of games these days, but it’s just annoying.

Card battles are purposely too hard.

Can’t start up game and we have the iPhone 7.

This game is completely disappointing. It’s very monotonous and the card battles are literally impossible to win. We have battled multiple times and even had higher health than the enemy and still lost. It wasn’t even close. The battles are obviously rigged to make you purchase upgrades, but we’ve never seen a game this unfair.

You literally can’t win any battles, they have you fight a tutorial battle and you loose every time it’s horrible. Don’t get this game.

This game is pretty fun for your spare time, just a glitch with unlocking new cards and a minor spelling error like the review below us states, but that’s nothing. The game is great and we highly recommend it.

Great game, replayable. But a few bugs with buying cards where you have to restart the game to actually unglitch the menu.

We feel after the update your app is horrible. We have re-downloaded it and it asks "who we are receiving today, mr. Dictator?" Who we are??? This is not translated right it should be who are we? And can there please be a skip tutorial button for people who have played your games before please??

Maybe add difficulties for new/veteran players. Other than that, we think it’s a really good game.

We really do love this game but we have a few problems with it we would like to address. First is that we think there should be a way to avoid being attacked besides just invading them first(unless there is a way and we’re just dumb) second the tyrant coins needed to get thing is way to high and we get that you need to make money off of the in game purchases but we already pay 2$ for the game so many just lower the prices for the coins.

We spent 20 dollars on this game and not even that could help us. While this game does seem like a wallet-emptier, it isn’t for a player who understands the game. Like we said we could have emptied our wallet and not have even won. But we have a play through now where we almost have everywhere conquered and we spent no money. You have to strategize every move or you will lose. Another tip is to use and upgrade that retirement fund because that extra cash could save you. Before buying anything, make sure you understand how to play the game. Unfortunately, if you want to upgrade your cards you have to spend 100 coins which can be difficult to get. We do believe there should be a way to use the money in the game to upgrade your cards.

Not the best game on the App Store but still a really good strategy game. You actually have to plan out a lot of your moves at the beginning if you want to get anywhere in the game. However, after a while, the game becomes very easy if you don’t expand. We like the new combat system with the cards but in our opinion upgrading cards should be cheaper though. 100 for a level one to level two upgrade is ridiculous. It’d be a better system in our opinion if cards started at a smaller amount of coins, and then increment it to 100 coins or more with higher levels. It’d also be really nice if you added new more extreme but funny decisions with more extreme consequences. More milestones would also be cool to see at the game over screen once your dictator is defeated.

It takes a 100 gold pieces to get the first upgrade for a single unit, same for getting new cards. You will get 2-10 a game that lasts past 30 turns. This game is trying to grind more money out of you every step of the way. We want our 2 dollars of trust back. Great job ruining your second game. IF THEY CHANGE THIS THEN we WILL UPDATE MY REVIEW. If they update it and it’s not fixed we will still give a one star review on the new version of the game so everybody still knows that its crap.

We love how u can take over the world.

After updating the game, our cards went back to level one.

Very fun game, you really have to think about the moves you make and the effects they will have.

We throughly enjoyed this game but we have some suggestions on future updates: 1)being able to negotiate with the other countries and try to do something to prevent the attack. 2) even if tyrania is lost the game should keep going when the player holds other countries they occupy. 3) the country’s "regional management" upgrades should stay even if you back your troops out and back in.

Very addicting game and fun as well even though it’s a card game. Normally we don like those types but this is fun. We bought it so that should say something. The only issue we have is the confusion factor. A few things go un explained but not so much that you don’t want to play again. Give it a go, we promise you’ll have a good time.

Wonderful game in theory: we played the heck out of the campaign and although some gameplay and interface elements are rather clunky, and despite the numerous English mistranslations (often amusing, but sometimes misleading about unit & game mechanics), the fundamentals of the game’s design have great potential. We wanted to encourage the games development with a few bucks, and we enjoyed experimenting with card combos so much, that we dropped a couple bucks here and there on the "special offer" 10-packs. Excited to see the "scenarios" update released, we opened the game to discover that the patch (and the very cool new cards) had kind of "scrambled" our upgrades and ruined our awesome army. Restore purchases did no good. Bummer; we hope they work out the bugs can develop this game enough to realize its potential. Should the Developers happen to read this: some additional explanation of game mechanics would be easy to add and improve gameplay immensely. For example: define terms explaining creature powers and their timing, more fully explain the mechanics of governors, effects of faction imprisonment, etc., and take a look at the English translations please. Also: management of territory structures needs major streamlining, and is, in our opinion, the number one gameplay element that will cause frustration and loss of interest. Allow the user to upgrade the same structure immediately after purchasing level one just as they can after any other level. And more importantly, let users upgrade structures across multiple territories in a faster and less frustrating way: the more territories you control, the more mind-numbingly putzy it becomes to be forced to jump back and forth from the map screen THROUGH the faction screen (which could use "X" numbers on the icons, by the way), to each region management screen and back the same way over and over and OVER. Links to the structure upgrade options on the structure icons in the "?" dialogue from the map (which contains the info we really need to know apart from which faction is unavailable for audience, btw), would make gameplay SO much smoother and encourage more replay, hence encouraging more revenue from committed players like us who would be willing to pay a few dollars to upgrade units. Assuming, of course, those upgrades stay where they should haha. Thanks for reading. We would be overjoyed to re-review the game after some tweaks and a restoration of our cards. Cheers.

This game stacks everything against you to the point where a game that you already paid for is asking for more just to accomplish anything. Do not waste money on this game.

Alright, so the game is awesome, but when we tried to buy a card pack it charged us, but no pack… We tried this 10 times and was charged $40… We want our bloody money back!

To progress at all in this game you must pay money for in game items, period. Anyone saying otherwise is a stooge. This would not be a problem if the game were free but it’s not. We find it ridiculous that we must PTW in a game that we already bought. Don’t wast your time or money.

We use to have the old game and redownloaded it when we saw they updated it, it’s way better.

Love the game! Please continue to update! And please continue to ignore political correctness. This is what makes the game so funny! There should be a hitler mustache/combover, considering he’s one of the most infamous dictators in history.

This game is perfect! We love how it looks simple but is very difficult. We love the world domination gameplay that’s been added to the series. We would recommend this game to anyone!

It’s been awhile since we’ve played a good mobile game.

We love this game. In addicted. A few crashes and glitches here and there,(one glitch where everything is duplicated and you see 2 of every option but a still picture in the background) we love this game and we recommend it!

We absolutely love this game, the concept, the execution, and the sense of humor. Our only complaint is that the only way to upgrade the army is through the premium currency Tyrants. If there wet a way to use the in-game currency to upgrade the army it would be perfect.

… Paying $2 for the game and then having to sit through videos for extra cash and in app purchases is angering. You don’t have to participate in either of those features, but the fact that they’re available makes it feel like a freemium game, despite the fact it isn’t free. Either go the freemium way or the pay-once way – either is fine – but both together makes it feel like being ripped off. If you don’t agree (freemium features don’t bother you) then we recommend the game, otherwise I’d suggest you stay away. For us it’s about 3-stars worth of annoying…

Not that fun, and as soon as you pay for the game it starts asking you for more money in the tutorial to increase your in-game currency. Shameful behavior even for a dictator.

The game is ok, but there’s just too much more to buy in app. If you want the units that other countries have, then pay more. Don’t have a problem with earning more gold or money but all the units needed to win the game should be available from the start. Especially from an app that you have to pay for to get it. Just wasted $2 in our opinion.
