Dragon Hills 2 Reviews

As it makes the game cool and difficult.

The game really settles our really is good. Try it.

This game is awesome you should get it its one of our favorite games we have ever played.

We played the first one it was great but this one was even better with new challenges and macanics cant wait to se what they do for the third we can only dream that it will be free.

We was/am a huge fan of the first Dragon Hills game, which is pretty simple gameplay and basically the same level over and over but is still super fun. BUT Dragon Hills 2 is wayyyyy better! More action and a variation in levels and bosses! Very fun! Well worth the $2.99!! This is an awesome sequel.

Best phone game we’ve played in years! No micros and not pay to win. Just buy and play.

When we had this game on our other Samsung phone, we were so addicted to it but now we got an iPhone, we bought it and it is still addicting and we could play this game for hours. :)

This is the quintessential game if to love fast crazy destruction that is also comical!! You can mirror your display on your tv and EVERYONE in the room will be mesmerized by the visuals! Just a blast to play and watch!! Needs more levels, PLEASE!!!!

So far we love this game. Its like a few other games but with better stuff that makes it original.

Same as title says. It just feels much harder overall? But still fun and an easy way to kill some time.

Updating after a few months of play. We still enjoy the game, but we are dropping our rating by 1 star. This is because the game does have some pretty major issues. These include unreliable game physics (random speed increases and decreases, random effects from enemies when you are trying to hit them, and random issues with terrain.). It also includes a basic unfairness where enemies and acid can touch your dragons tail and do damage, but you cant catch a power up with your tail. Last one is a dual issue. In the first game, if you died and regenerated, then the terrain and enemies around you went neutral for a few moments so you didnt regenerate into a pit of lava. This game not only doesnt do that, but sometimes drops you off screen so you cannot see the dangers, kills you, then regenerates you head first onto a pit of acid. There is challenging and then there is unfair. This game is bordering on unfair. Original review: But its not hard because of complicated stories or controls. It is just a challenging game. We’ve loved the first game for years. We still have it on our phone and play it often. Im nearly to level 700 on it. This game is an improvement and we wasnt sure that was possible! The scenarios are more challenging. The finesse needed is more challenging, but the game is addictive and fun. Absolutely worth the price. And we are ECSTATIC to find a game designer and a game that are a one price buys the game rather than a gouge you for every cent you have like so many games out there. Keep it up and we will gladly continue to throw our money to you!

Seriously, did no one play test this?

What a great game! We’ve been playing the original dragon hills for years, and a new game? Whoop whoop! Problem is that the bosses are kinda overpowered. We had to play for 3 hours to beat ONE boss. Not cool! But still, the game has so many improvements.

We have played this game through now twice. We like the new (variety of) worlds. Guns are cool (swords were better), GodzillaMech is fun, bosses are the best change. This game is a grind at first but becomes more enjoyable after you get the biguns later on. Kinda wish some of the old mechanics were still in play, like playing till you die versus level to level – which is annoying. Rewards are more difficult to grab in this game, and you cant use the bottom in this game to let them catch up to you. We could be wrong but the old game used to have more digging room, and it was easier to get to the higher ground in the older game. We like that the acid pits are hard but some are down right unavoidable, which is kind of annoying, if the bridge is out before you get there no level of skill is going to keep you from losing life. Frankly we like it as a time killer, its a mindless tap game, but we will probably not continue buying these titles.

This is a pretty decent sequel but the level 6 boss is probably the worse designed boss in both games. Your basically at the mercy of the level design to stop the big truck from moving. 90% of the battle is just trying to catch up. Not fun and ruins what could of been a perfect sequel.

We really liked the original Dragon Hills so we were excited to buy this game. Unfortunately, its just not as good as the original game. While you are able to collect more coins you have to pay a lot more for upgrades in the game. Also, its a game that makes you grind, and grind, and grind (you have to grind in the original game also, just not as much). The boss battles are interesting but it takes 2-4 time longer to kill the bosses than the original game (another grind). The art direction is great and it is visually appealing, but the music is awful and we had to turn it off. Also, the creators went with a zombie apocalypse, and this might appeal to others but Im so sick of zombie games. We may play this game from time to time but Ill stick with the original game and have more fun with it.

This is one of those games where you always die too quickly. No fun. Cant even get anywhere without dying.

The first time we played dragon hills it was good but when we played dragon hills 2 it had major improvements and kept us stuck on our phone for hours and another great thing is they add lots of updates often which makes the game fun when you complete part of it theres always more to finish and also the graphics are really good and new dragons are great and new bosses and so much action packed into one game overall we give it five stars.

This game is surprisingly fun. Its redundant but somehow keeps our attention. Definitely worth the price.

Love it. Great entertainment for our grandkids.

We really want to like this game. We’ve given it a good shot. Several hours. Im up to level 12 or 13. But it is so frustrating. There are so many poor design choices made and things that just dont make sense. Like enemy bullets pass through building to hit you. But your bullets? Nah they get stopped by the building. Or the fact that the only hit zone for your dragon to nab a power up is his head. But his hit zone is his entire body when getting pummeled by enemy fire. Or the fact that you collect special tokens to get a speed boost that yes does make you move faster, but make sure you dont get it during a boss fight cause all itll do is put you way too far ahead of the boss to do any damage to them and only increase your odds of dying from hitting all the other obstacles. A buff (like speed boost) is supposed to be a BUFF and not be detrimental to your goal. Speaking of… Hit a crate for a power up but out run it by a little bit? Have the opportunity to burrow underground to hang back for it to catch up? Think again! That power up is gone and will slow down with you so that you cannot get it. This game FEELS like it should be a pay to win app with how grindy and unfair it is to the player. Yet it isnt (which is great), but the grind is not really fun and the game is frustrating. We miss feeling as powerful as we did in the first game. Also the sword in the first game was Infinitely more useful than the garbage guns in this game. Half the time you cant even hit your target cause of buildings (see above) and the other half of the time that they are in your possession you are underground and cant use them. Even when prioritizing staying in the air to utilize the weapons they just are not efficient in any way to all of the bullet sponge bosses. In fact! We actually finally just unlocked a new dragon after maxing our vitality (cause its easily the most important stat). The dragon has a laser gun! All the time!…. Well at least for dumb zombies. It doesnt work on bosses…. Which is so annoying. The first game is the kind of game we played on the subway in 3-5 minute bursts and enjoyed immensely. It rewarded us for playing. It was so great for that. This sequel has become a mess of frustrations. So if the dev, is reading this. Even the playing field on this game and give us the sense of power back. Make it fun again. It looks better than the first no doubt and there is a great foundation for a great game the way it is built. But massive tweaks need to be made to make his actually enjoyable.

We played the first Dragon Hills and loved every hour we sunk into it which is why Im so bummed the the sequel isnt that good. We feel like the game could be good if the level design was better. There are so many times where your forced to lose half your health slamming into some form of acid or a homing missile that wont go away no matter how long you stay under ground. Also there is no ramp up in difficulty the longer you survive a stage which means your reaching the boss with barely any health every time. On top of that its a grind to earn money for upgrades and stuff when the levels arent much fun to replay. However it is very pretty and the presentation of everything is polished.

We ADORE Dragon Hills 1. This sequel is ridiculously unbalanced and upgrades are ridiculously expensive. Also the whole urban-zombie-apocalypse spin on the the original game is SO BORING AND UNORIGINAL. Please go back to your roots and make a Dragon Hills 3 that is more like the first.

This game had a button in purchases under subscribe that allows minors to access xxx porn sites. Thanks for introducing our 7yo to porn.

Easily as good as the first one… The dragons improve with upgrades so don’t believe the "clunky " remarks. So much to do and upgrade in this one and can you believe they just came out with another HUGE UPDATE that gives more dragon types and an entire (very cool) Egyptian wold. THANK YOU oh great devs… This was unexpected and an amazing thing to do for your fans! Great game that nails that elusive "fun factor" so many games miss.

Gave this 2 stars when first released due to unexpected difficulty and slowness of the dragon. Also no iPhone X support. Thanks for the latest iPhone X update. Huge improvement. A few minor formatting issues but Ill take it. The thing that continues to be frustrating is how slow the dragon goes by default. Im in level seventy-something and have all speed etc but still annoying with speed sometimes.

The latest update mostly the addition of two new permanent dragons helps this game out a bit. This game still feels like it spends most of its time punishing the user for playing it. Massive frame rate issues playing it on a 2017 iPad. Lots of camera tracking issues when using homing missiles or when bosses explode, the camera shifts focus away from your character making it almost impossible to see what youre doing. In other instances, especially when you pick up speed, the camera pushes way to far ahead of the player, so you can barely see where youre at on screen. Its still absolutely ridiculous that power ups are only activated if they touch the head of your dragon, but enemies can do damage by hitting any part of your dragon. And the pacing of each level is still clunky, not nearly as smooth and fast as the original. Plus… Theres still no endless mode. It just feels like this developer completely misunderstood what made the first Dragon Hills so much fun.

We were big fan of first game. Played it to something like level 200. This is such an improvement. While the first was basically the same level (and boss) over and over again, this game has outstanding variety. In environments, mobs, bosses, and upgrades. We’re not sure what people complaining about the difficulty are talking about. It’s harder than the first one, but far from a difficult game. You will have to fight some bosses multiple times while you save for upgrades, but it’s fun while you do, and you will eventually take them down. We’ve faced maybe 15 bosses so far. Most we beat in 1-5 tries, while a few of the harder ones took 10-15 tries. And it’s incredibly rewarding when you do beat the harder ones. Support premium gems like this. Everything a sequel should be.

Left a glowing review of this game, the review disappeared, so we’re done putting any time into them just to have some glitch with iOS ruin our efforts.

Im hooked. Glad to meet you. 5 stats.

We really love this game. It does feel really slow at first but the more you play it, the more it speeds up. On thing, Im using an iPhone X, would love to see an update to make it work with the bigger screen better! Love the music in it! We actually turn off our podcast to listen to it! Absolutely love it, totally addicted. Im sitting here playing this instead of our switch!!!! We really love to see a developer who isnt dipping into micro transactions which we completely avoid. Thank you!!!!

A great game with no in-app purchases! Just start the game and watch the destruction. Theres a few flaws. The phone will auto lock unless you occasionally tap the screen. Sometimes the dragon will get stuck, which can take several taps to escape. The zombie well under the girl fills up to 100%, but then doesnt actually do anything. We were expecting something to happen once we filled. Now zombies collected go in without any effect. Oh well.

Beware. It takes about 5 hours of gameplay before the game becomes enjoyable Main gripes (1) bosses have so much health, it takes forever to kill them. Its a bit boring, takes an even amount of luck and skill and It makes the game not nearly as mobile friendly (2) one of the bass grinding abilities (ie abilities you have to max before you can really play the game) is speed. The speed at lvl 1 is painfully slow. About as slow as the worm dragon in the first game. Its bad game design to start the game incredibly boring and force players to grind out of the bore.

The basic experience is fun enough, but in the long term all your low-level upgrades become serious penalties (you want to un-buy everything but the good stuff), the grind becomes extensive, the level-up mechanism stops making sense after you change worlds, etc. There are just too many small frustrations.

It has the potential to be as good or better then the first, but the boss fights are slow and take too long that it really degrades the experience.

Loved the first one. The endless, dull boss fights make it impossible to enjoy any other aspect of the game. Like smashing obstacles or chasing down zombies or collecting coins? Forget it. You have a few seconds of that before yet another long, slow boss battle with the boss constantly in your face and in your way. Finally beat the boss? Great, level is over and its time for another few seconds of gameplay before another boss. The game has a lot of fun new obstacles you cant enjoy.

Great game! Needs improvement on iPad mini 3 does not run smooth at all!!!! Other wise for us would be 5star game, very fun!

Liked the first one. Was excited to see this one. But, like so many others have said, the difficulty is high, and the reward is low. We can see its going to take a major grind to get anywhere. We want to have fun, not grind. Sadly, deleted.

We have already wrote an extensive review but it would not post so summarized. The game is a joke compared to the first there are less dragons graphics are worse the bosses are just buffed every level. We had to confirm that this game was made after the first. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING THIS ATROCITY OF A GAME.

Its a decent game, but hard to fully enjoy playing due to how slow paced it seems comprares to the original. The dragon feels like the game moves at a crawl even with maxed speed, and the boss battles just seem tedious. That, and there seem to be a few glitches that make the game harder, such as the fact that half of the time the guns dont even hit their target (unlike DH1 where it was always a hit if you were close enough with the sword), power ups dont take effect if they hit a peripheral area like the tail, but somehow enemies hit the tail and it still deals full damage. Some of the non-boss enemies seem to deal a ridiculous amount of damage too, even more than the bosses in some cases.

As with the original Dragon Hills game play is very easy and addicting. Dragon Hills 2 requires more of a strategic play. This is a safe buy and you will enjoy this game.

Its fun and challenging at the same time.

Great first game. Even better Sequel!!!

Really enjoyed the 1st game (which we got free) was happy to pay for this one. Simple but enjoyable and requires some thinking and skill. The graphics are a bit small to fully appreciate on a phone screen, looking forward to seeing more detail on our iPad.

This developer never fails to deliver outstanding arcade action. DH2 is a blast to play and like their other titles keeps us playing and having fun.

Our grandson and Zieger love playing this game. It is more challenging than the first one, but lots of fun.

Unos de los mejores juegos pero necesita mas actualizaciones y mejoras.

Just as good as the last game!

Challenging at first till you get use to it. We’re a boss. Bow down.

Super fun game! Love this one even more than the first! Thanks for the good times, keep it up!
