Drift’n’Drive Reviews

This game is fun and addictive and hard to put down. "Just one more race" is what we’ve been saying to myself in the two days that we’ve had this app. It’s because the game will not give you an inch. You have to earn every incremental step you make towards 1st place. In the beginning the controls are difficult (very twitchy). But very soon after you start to appreciate them and how responsive they are the car moves quickly and immediately when you press the buttons. Anyhow, we’ll be playing this game for a long time until we conquer all races. But even after we do, we’ll still want to conquer myself and continue to improve upon previous times. Just awesome! Update: BOOM!! Raritanium in all levels! New update: 54 wins in a row at the very highest level. This game never gets old.

We got the free activation code from Starbucks for this game. Controls are not easy to master, takes time. AI is pretty good, they actually can avoid your attack. Ovr it’s a good game to try. If it’s a 1 dollar game, we suggest you to buy it ’cause it worths; 2 dollars? Think about it first.

This is an amazing game! We recommend it to anyone. We just wish that local Bluetooth multiplayer would be added instead of everyone having to play on the same screen. Otherwise it is a great game!

We didn’t have to pay for this we went to Starbucks and gave us the code to get this for free. To be honest this game is awesome. The challenges never stop. Love it dude.

Amazing game with races typically lasting about 30 seconds. You don’t have time to regret that time you got stuck in a 20 car pile-up in your last race before hitting the replay button to redeem yourself. Highly recommended!

If you like small cars racing you will knot be able to put this game down! It is EXTREMELY difficult to make a racing game that nails down the balance between playability and learning curve just difficult enough to keep you playing and this game does it PERFECT!!

We have never played a game where the game takes control of your equipment so much. Hit the wall and you get stuck for X seconds. Hit a tire you loose control. Hit another car you loose controls. Etc etc etc. It seems like you never have it.

Good driving mechanics spoiled by statistical scaling. Success does not feel like success nor does failure feel like failure.

Dont waste your money or time on this. The controls are easily the worst we’ve ever seen; it is impossible to play this game. We play a lot of IOS games and review many of them as well. We always try to find the positives in everything, but that simply doesn’t exist here. BAD.

Go this game thinking it would not be fun but it’s great! A little time to get the hang of but career mode is a blast!!! THIS IS A MUST HAVE GAME.

We got this for free with a Starbucks thing and although at first we were like what even but if you give it a chance it’s really great.

We think that the app is good. We thought that the car was hard to navigate. The controls are fine, but we would have liked more control on the car. Although, we do understand that it is supposed to "drift". We also think that to get to the second level, you shouldn’t have to be in the top 3. Maybe the top 5. Then it can become harder. Hope this is appreciated!

Simple game, controls are easy, challenges are fun. It does need more updates though as we’ve completed all the career races.

It’s a fun little game! Controls aren’t that bad, just have to get the hang of it.

Controls are too touchy. Way to difficult to be enjoyable unless you spend hours playing. Not good for casual player. The overly sensitive drift is compounded by the touchy controls.

This game is really hard, and that is part of what makes it really fun. But PLEASE correct the error "22th" place. The stupid grammar error is driving us crazy.

It was good for a while then we maxed out our car and now we’re really bored with it and have 1,000,000 dollars to spend on there and can’t because we already have everything.

Horrible controls. So frustrating to play. Have no idea why you even drift, there is zero benefit.

We got this game for free from a Starbucks thing and we started playing the game. So frustrating because the physics are absolutely terrible. If you just touch another car apparently you stick on to their bumper and swerve off the course. The level of difficulty of this game is a fun challenge but there are some updates needed. PHYSICS.

We got this app as a Starbucks free download of the week. The game play in this app is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, and not intuitive. The briefest tap sends your car jolting off the race track. Very poorly designed. And all of the "good reviews" are obviously BOGUS! Apple: kick this one out of the App Store!

It’s extremely difficult to control the cars. Barely touching the screen causes the cars spin out of control. We’re deleting this app. We use apps to make our life easier not to stress us out.

This app is NOT worth the bandwidth to download it for free. It is bad! Frustrating! Hard to control! Starbucks should be ashamed by this garbage!

The controls make this game too difficult to enjoy coupled with how readily the computer sends you into the dirt as they drive past without any way of catching up.

This is the first time we have written a review. We had to write because this game is SO HORRIBLY made. There are 3 modes of steering and 2 say that it is not intended to be steered in that manner. The intended method was a joke and the car kept turning 180 and headed back to the start. Tapping left and right merely sends it to the trees and we have no idea how speed is managed. Not fun. Merely frustrating. We deleted it before it could irritate our kid. What a joke.

We’re not usually into racing games but this game is a blast. Crashing, sliding, spinning, jumping, slamming, and dodging your way past a couple dozen cars is just super fun. We love that the tracks are constantly random and you just react to the terrain and the obstacles. It keeps the game fresh even after playing for a while. Fantastic game we highly recommend.

A fun little game! I’d love a few more like it. It is fun, scales well with the upgrades available, is good for short play sessions or long, looks great… Just get it.

Retro graphics, fast paced, no in app purchases, love the game.

First racing game playable on a phone. Simple controls and no nonsense gameplay. Very accessible and reminiscent of 8-bit greats such as R.C. PRO AM. Now that’s impressive!!! Great Job!!!

Fun game but we are pretty miffed about not being able to play our own music while playing this. Edit: our music now works in game thanks!

This game is quite simple but it has just the right amount of driving skill, upgrades for the car and good design to make a truly fun experience. We love that there are no in-app purchases! Thanks for bringing real gaming back to mobile devices. As you race you earn money for upgrading your car, but it’s all part of the game. We love this game!

We love this game it’s by far the best game on the App Store! It’s a must download!!

Game seems to work perfectly now, save bugs are gone, Game Center achievements are working. Highly recommended purchase!

Well all we have to say is we found this game with $2.00 to spare and said why not considering we presume we were the first to buy it im not sure weather or not other people see our name in the special thanks in the credits but we can say that it says you for us, this game is very addictive and we love the challenge of getting and achieving the highest medal possible we believe it’s somthing along the lines or rareitanium medal lol regardless this game is so fun to play, and we’re looking forward to the future updates to come!

This game is great for playing to short bursts. Races take only a few seconds, but they are hectic and exhilarating. All the action takes place with a smooth frame rate. There are simple upgrades for your car that make you want to keep playing. Our only complaint is the track design. With no braking option, it is impossible to make the 90 turns in so many of the procedurally-generated levels.

This game made us hate videogames and taught us to save our money lol jk its cool.

Every now and then after finishing a race, the game crashes. The video playback doesn’t work. It just sits and says "processing…" Fun game though, we like it.

The game is good. The controls are a bit touchy, but you learn quickly. The reason we took a few stars off are because there are a few major bugs. The first one is the game randomly will close out. The second is every now and then the controls stop responding and the car just keeps going straight no matter if you hit left or right. Real infuriating. We also would enjoy landscape mode. We have big hands and this makes the game feel crowded.

Controls are very touchy and some of the upgrades don’t even help we do like the simplicity of it all.

First the good: the game runs flawlessly on our iPad and iPhone: fast and smooth, no ads or IAPs, instant restarts, decent looking. But the driving just isn’t that fun. The combination of really touchy handling and randomly generated tracks means winning is more about luck and having the right upgrades than driving skill. Overall we got tired of it pretty quickly. Also the tilt controls are reversed from every other game: tilt left and the car goes right. Pretty sure it’s just a bug, but if it’s intentional it’s pretty silly. Slide control doesn’t work well either. Only the button control option works well.

Very frustrating controls. It’s better to be lucky than good in this game.

All we do is crash into trees. Almost impossible to even finish a race.

Simplistic looking but the controls are horrible. Not fun. Come on fix this. We were excited but deleted it. 2 stars you get for the simplistic.

The swipe and tilt doesn’t work. In tilt mode the car goes in the opposite direction!!!

We’re having the hardest time just trying to steer our guy. Played for about 5 min. And then got frustrated and deleted. Thankfully we got it for free from a Starbucks app of the week card. Don’t waste your money.

Don’t waste your time. The vehicle will not steer and it’s more frustrating than fun.

Has potential but has difficult and unresponsive controls.

Can’t easily control the vehicle by swipe or tilt. Spent about 10 minutes playing and couldn’t get the hang of it. Why make a game that isn’t easy to learn? Or why make a game with no instructions or trial runs?
