Only problem we have, it’s optimized for iPhone X screen. It goes beyond the notch, and thus cuts out a piece of the game.
No other way to put it, its just a great game.
We’re about 4 hours in on tough difficulty and this is a great game, props to the devs.
We played this game on our Xbox so we were very excited to see whats on it, as expected its just like the game from the Xbox version so that makes it one of our favorite games to play! You are awesome.
What an amazing game from an amazing developer. This game has been constantly supported and upgraded. We played for a year with touchscreens, but recently we got a Steelseries Nimbus, and its become twice as fun. Great support for MFI controllers in this game. Also, recently the game was given a visual facelift, and it did wonders on our 10.5 screen. It looks much better now. Highly recommend this game, as its one of the best side scrollers on the App Store. Great story, and a awesome musical score. Thumbs way up!
We first bought this game on PC but never finished it. We saw it on the app store a couple days ago and purchased it with the intent of finishing it on our phone and our goodness was it worth it. The artwork, animation and soundtrack worked together beautifully and there’s absolutely nothing we would change about this game. Loved it and we would recommend it to anyone who loves action-packed side-scrollers with an awesome storyline Bravo to the devs God bless.

This game is perfect. Great story and quest lines. Well designed gameplay. Worth a replay and another. Strive for perfection in the mini games and challenges if you have the skills. Kind of a cross between Diablo and Sonic the hedgehog. Pure fun. Not some click bait trap game. Worth every penny and more!
No complaints except we want a sequel where you can play as fidget well she searchs first dust on an ardeous journey.
No wonder this game has received such praise. A full 10+ hours of content guaranteed with immersive story, stunning animation and music, satisfying combat thats adjustable (even mid game!) for both casual and hardcore players alike, and secrets that arent irritating to find but are hidden enough that you have to poke around a bit. Its a lighthearted experience. Dont expect difficulty except on harder modes. The controls are fluid and the game is polished. This is PC game quality on your phone. We havent been this satisfied with a mobile game since Altos Adventure and these are the only two games we’ve truly enjoyed on our phone. And combat is truly satisfying, especially parries. The voice acting is superb as well. Fidget doesnt break the fourth wall nearly as much as some reviewers claim she does. The story isnt unique, but literally everything else is flawless, and the story is still well presented. Its one of those games that leaves an imprint on you long after its finished. PS – the normal difficulty isnt actually difficult at all. We would recommend the normal difficulty even if you consider yourself a casual or new player to the genre.

We dont know if miraculousness is a word, but we chose to use it anyway. This game is one of the greatest games we’ve ever (and we mean EVER) laid our eyes on!! We didnt think it was possible for a game like this to be THAT good. Fidget is adorable. Dust is brave and heroic. Ginger is also cute and very gentle. General Gaius is a worthy opponent (and a really great final boss). There is not even HALF a con in this pure, pure masterpiece!!
This game is old and still better that pretty much everything in the App Store. Pay once and thats it. Awesome graphics and completely voice acted. Nuanced yet simple gameplay mechanics. Great with or without a controller.
We really love this game, it’s nicely done and the graphics are beautiful. The controls are easy to use especially in battle! The voice acting is on point! Dust was a fantastic game to play! The story and art was phenomenal. Theres also plenty of content in game to keep you busy. Its still so crazy how a game this fantastic manages to run on a phone. This is a must have game. The price is well worth it and you get so much content for it. We wish there we more games like Dust. Im a bit sad to say goodbye since we finished the game but it was a very enjoyable experience. Again we definitely recommend it.
Dust: An Elysian Tale was delightful surprise from the very beginning! The story, characters and voice acting are all top notch. We found myself enthralled from the start and really enjoyed the adventure all the way through. Combat is fun and satisfying and enemies remain challenging throughout the game. If you love a good action RPG game, then theres really no need to deliberate for this game. Its truly a gem and worth every penny paid!
First if all this game is awesome we love the combat and everything and the story of how dust tries to recover his memories we havent finished the game but we would like to see a second game with the same characters but you control a different main character but dont worry Ill still be playing this game you dont have to make a second game if this but it would be a cool thought.
This was a pretty good game, was fun and we enjoyed the story, but the only complaint we have is the bosses were a bit too easy.
We got this game even though we were iffy about it. We looked through the reviews and convinced myself to get it. And honestly its one of our favorite short story games. We couldnt put down our phone. The story kept ahold of us and the sidequests were a nice add on. The battle aspect is nice and though its simple, its fun. Its an emotional game, thats for sure. We loved all parts of this game and it was worth every penny.
Simply a masterpiece. The art, story, action, and music combine to make a near perfect game. The world and voice acting is so immersive we cant believe something like this exists on the app store. 11/10 would buy again and again.
This game is not working on iOS 14 and after you choose a difficulty level, will have no video with just the audio in the background. Please fix!

Wow! We were actually very impressed with this game! Great work! Combat style, controls, artistic graphics and great voice acting/soundtrack! We are almost never a fan of any kind of Japanese style/anime style video games but this one is a keeper and well worth the money spent!
We bought this game for the Xbox years ago, unbelievable replay value and combat elegance. The graphics are stunning compared to other games, each movement and attack is on-point and perfectly timed that we cannot find One thing to complain about this game. We bought it, Im enjoying it all over again and we even can now on the go. Worth the 5 Star Rating and every cent Buy this game, YOU CANNOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Love this game! Its graphics are great and you get to adjust how the controls are placed! Only wish it was available for Android users too.
Im not ashamed to admit to that at all. It was so good, this is the first game we wrote about for our first (SFW) fanfic without using the word said as a personal challenge just for fun (from the prespective of the Fidget, the best side character in any video game; she needs more love) we beat this masterpeice twice on Xbox 360, twice on PC, now on mobile and the Switch will be next for sure, pouring countless hours into the game just listening to the slappin music! Our only complaint would be the time-trials, but with enough trial, there will be less error (pun intended) This game definatly deserves all the praise it gets, and Im still playing it to this day (in 2021) so they did something right! Cannot reccomend this game enough and looking forward to a sequal!
You can get very invested in the story and we felt many joys and sorrows throughout the whole of the game.
We cant tell you enough how much we love this game! From the smooth animation, to the perfect plot, theres just too much to love about it! Recently its became available on the Switch, and its just as good as mobile, and console. Im hoping that since its been released on the Switch, and that more people will become fans of it, that therell be another game?? It leaves us on a cliffhanger, and Im hoping that means a sequel? We dunno, but this game is just amazing, and even if there isnt a sequel, we hope you download it!
There have been very few games that have made us cry. This is one of them.
This was a great game and well worth the price. It combined some of our favorite genres together. Our only minor complaint is the platforming is a little harder because the touchscreen is not as good as a regular directional pad. Luckily there were not too many platforming parts.
We’ve played a lot of games but we’ve never seen anything like Dust: AET before. Honestly, this game was so amazing. The plot was great and we truly felt like we knew Dust. We would certainly love a second game! The ending was so touching… We cried. Everything about this game was amazing and we dont know how anyone could hate it. People have their reasons we suppose. We overall loved it. Keep up the good work! ( think about that second game though)
Id love a sequel to this game. This is by far the cutest game that has combat abilities as well as some cute characters and some cool characters and we really hope if you do make the sequel dust is back kinda like a respawn thing where he has all his memories from the first game and id like it if its the same price as this game it doesnt have to be tho. This games ending tho it didnt make us cry for some odd reason it still made us sad to know that dust died but the rest after the end of the fighting place you see this glowing thing flying somewhere and we were wondering was that dust being spawned again?

The voice acting and hand drawn environments and characters alone make this game one of the best we’ve ever played. But the incredible story is the most amazing and is what makes this game second to none. The cut scenes are beautiful and the gameplay has been well adapted for mobile. The plot line and characters are irresistible, making this game impossible to put down once you start. The fact that it is fully voiced is a quality that very, very few games have and the voices chosen absolutely fit the characters completely. It is truly a work of art. We are very glad to have played this game and experienced the masterfully crafted story and world. The characters of Dust:AET will forever have a place in our heart.
We heard good things, but doubted. Just a cartoony, button-mashing beat ’em up, we thought. We were wrong. It is deep and lengthy and satisfying and story-driven and action-packed, with exploration and rpg elements. A gorgeous, captivating experience. Good. Fun.
This game is amazing, and we would recommend it to anyone. The controls are fluid and the port to mobile from console is very impressive. Although, like our title says, we think the best way to experience it is on PS4, Switch, or even Steam. The voice acting is spot on in our opinion as is the dialogue. Also, FIDGET is amazing, funny, and just a great companion, who has a really good and helpful ability. This game definitely deserves 5 stars, and the experience is worth the price. However, as we mentioned above, we really think putting your money on the game towards the console or PC versions is the way to go. We got the iOS version first, and didn’t finish it, but then finished it out on PS4, and we enjoyed it on PS4 much more than on iOS. Either way you play it, you’re gonna have a good time with this one.
Mere minutes ago we completed this game and we must confess its now one of our top favorites. The story surrounding our mysterious protagonist rapidly drew us in and the animated cutscenes were beautiful, despite the style being slightly outdated. We were blown away by the fluid mechanics and adaptable controls! Whats most impressive is simply the fact that the developer, Dean Dodrill, made it all independently! Since its release back in August of 2012, Dean has stated that there will one day be a sequel! With his second game Never Stop Sneakin being released this holiday season, Im sure it will still be a while. However, Im positive that it will be well worth the wait!

We always do a ton of research on games before we get them to save money, and we eventually decided to pick up this gem. It takes a second to get used to the controls, but thell become second nature. If you play on the most relaxed difficulty, it can still be a satisfying and invigorating experience. We had a lot of fun with the game and we highly recommend the pickup. We played it on the iPhone 5s but it still looked really good. Its worth the asking price.
This game taught us an incredible story in loss of memories, and regain from the past. Showed us a pattern of a humanitarian effort to rectify the past. Also, the responsiveness of the digital buttons, albeit sensitive, did not take our mind off the immersion in-game. Thank you!

Dust: AET is without a doubt one of our favorite video games of all time. We played it on Xbox and PC previously, but we were extremely skeptical when we saw this mobile port. We’ve always been skeptical of mobile gaming, especially so when it comes to complex games like Dust, but this completely blew us away. The game controlled much more smoothly than we would have ever expected possible on a phone. Obviously, it plays best on a controller, but considering the constraints of a mobile phone screen, we cant criticize the touch controls at all. As for the game itself, we could sing its praise forever. The gameplay is fun and satisfying, the art and music are beautiful, the story and characters are excellent; theres a reason its one of our all-time favorites. If youve never played this game before, we would definitely recommend playing on PC or console first, no question. However, if youre a returning fan, and skeptical of the mobile port like we were, absolutely it is worth getting.
We love this game. It has amazing art. Its fun. Its easy and hard. But, we found a glitch! So, we were playing, and then it showed the chapter 1 thing. And then it did it like three more times. We left the game and it was working again. Please fix this, but otherwise love the game!
Im first played this game years ago on Xbox 360 and fell in love. With one of the most unique story lines we have ever played through it keeps they player engaged with not just the story but the characters, you meet so many and get attached to some. With side quests and different game difficultys its hard to ever get bored with this game. To anyone wondering if this is truly worth it, you just need to trust us and play it to believe it!
