Written by the same Eric that developed the Eric's Solitaire Sample that came on every Mac in the U.S. and Eric's Ultimate Solitaire for Mac OS. You can drag and drop or tap cards to move them. You can even throw the cards with a shove! Supports portrait and landscape orientations and has a fun user interface.
Spider is one of the most popular variations of solitaire. It's Eric's favorite as it offers lots of room for skill and almost every deal can be won.
Your game is saved when you quit or get a call and is quickly restored when you return.

We dont mind seeing the ads pop up. What we do mind is these constant game advertisements which take forever to finish showing. Flash them up and let us choose to download it or get back to our game. Im about ready to quit the app.

Would give this a 5 star except for the ads that pop up. Its not so much the ads as the fact that some have LOUD music that immediately starts playing really makes us dislike this game. It is so annoying and even embarrassing if we are in a doctors office waiting room or somewhere else that is quiet.

This is a great game to play any time you have a long wait. The different levels let you choose how hard it is to win. Good graphics make it easy on the eyes.
This game will eat up time as you sit waiting in the Dr.'s office or any appointment. We play it while watching games on T V because it keeps us from biting our fingernails for our favorite team. The cards are bright and easy to read and we've been playing it for years.

This is a fun game and is very easy to play. You win enough to be satisfied, but you have to use your brain! Excellent support too.
The game is good the only that we don't like is the cards swings around and doesn't have the suggested bottom to know what other you can play… Overall is a good game, keep you concentrated.
Spider Solitaire is fun to play, and we think it's more interesting than regular solitaire. However, the one thing we don't like about this particular one is the way the cards keep swinging back and forth. That bothers our eyes. We would prefer the cards to be still. We do like that you don't have to have a card in every column to get more cards from the deck like some of the other spider solitaire games.

This game used to load nicely now it doesn't at all, the bar at bottom for settings and such doesnt show up and game gets stuck so we have to reboot our phone all the time.

Best spider solitaire to date! This spider solitaire has the best touch functionality of all the solitaire games. Moving cards around and playing the game is a pleasure. The new menu design is a nice touch to an already fantastic game. The dev is very responsive to player input and pays special attention to the small details of his games. It's a pleasure to play a well-designed game. Like all of Eric Snider's solitaire games, Free Spider Solitaire is gorgeously designed with a lot of attention to detail throughout. We have both the free and the paid version, and this review covers some features that are only in the paid version, well worth $0.99! In the paid version there are four attractive visual themes that can be selected, and the Sky theme is even animated – cool! The card move animations are visually stunning. The options to double-tap to move or to drag and drop make game play easy and intuitive. SIx intuitive controls icons line the bottom of the screen for undo, game select, new game, settings, statistics, and help. Full-deck Spider is not an easy game to win, and it's great that Eric includes 1-suit, 2-suit, and Spiderette to help new players learn the strategy and be able to win a fair number of games as they develop their skills. Undo is an essential feature in a game like this, and we're hoping for a redo button in a future version. There is a very useful hint feature that shows which cards can be played by "glowing" the card borders or by wiggling the cards (immediately or after an delay), and of course this feature can be turned off for the purists. Unlike every casino in the world, Eric has the clock displayed in the upper left corner – very nice for us to keep track of time when we get engrossed in playing. In the free version the ads are minimally intrusive, and ads are the standard price of a high-quality free app these days. The full version is certainly worth the price for us, and we feel good being able to support a small, independent developer who puts a tremendous amount of effort into his games. Eric has been very responsive when we have emailed him with questions or ideas.
Love playing solitaire while we have 15 minutes to spare. Works great on our iPod touch and iPhone too.
