DESCRIPTION
Written by the same Eric that developed the Eric's Solitaire Sample that came on every Mac in the U.S. and Eric's Ultimate Solitaire for Mac OS. You can drag and drop or tap cards to move them. You can even throw the cards with a shove! Supports portrait and landscape orientations and has a fun user interface.
Spider is one of the most popular variations of solitaire. It's Eric's favorite as it offers lots of room for skill. This version is strictly for iPhone/iPod.
Your game is saved when you quit or get a call and is quickly restored when you return.

11/23/2022 Ive played this game for many years & really love it (addicted actually). The recent update significantly reduced the size of the cards, which we had a bit of trouble seeing even before. We play on iPhone 7 in locked landscape mode. Please make the cards bigger again! We cant see a reason to shrink them – the UI was perfect before yesterday. We played one game and Im sorry we bought it. The game board doesnt do a good job of covering the full iPad screen on landscape. The card bounce is exaggerated and annoying.

Of all spider solitaire this is the BEST.
Its changed our life, Ill never be the same.
So easy to use and we love the undo button. Cards move easily and fast. We never get tired of playing and Im working on over 500 straight games that Ive won.

Spider is a quick mental cat nap anytime you need a break and need to rest your mind while working your problem solving skills.
However when it was updated to the new iOS, the game started cheating. You can win maybe 10-12 games, but after that, there is no way you can win. We have found other games to play, and have nearly stopped playing it.
We play this game while we watch the news each day. We love the fact that we CAN WIN! It is still challenging and we love it! We are at over 1300 games right now and our per cent is 100%.

Eric Snyder's version is much better than any other Spider game out there! We especially love Spiderette.
Please move the HELP button from the bottom right corner of the screen. Every time our right hand touches it the game is interrupted. VERY ANNOYING.
Our current statistics say we have played more than 1200 games of two suited Spider Solitaire. Our current attitude is that will win no matter how hard the game is. So sometime a game takes a week to sort out, sometimes just a few minutes. Is a peaceful way to escape reality.
Every afternoon we sit down on our love seat with our sweet little chihuahua and relax with Spider Solitaire games. So restful and just right challenges that we miss if something interrupts our time.
We love this game. But beating a computer is just too hard. Sorry. We agree with previous review. You just can't win because the game does not play fair. It makes it impossible to win.
Love the new additional can Play IT on our iPhone but IT has stopped playing on our iPad and we cant get IT to Play now! We are 88 and need help Because we miss bring able to Play on our iPad.
We have played this for years. Updated to iOS 16 now menu button kicks us out Then we go back in returns to a previous play game.
Eric, please fix! IPhone must be restarted to close the game. Started a few months ago.
Spider Solitaire is one of our favorite app games to play on our iPhone. It requires a great deal of strategy to see moves well in advance and plan layouts for the best results each time a new layer of cards is delivered.

We've had Eric Snider's Spider game software since the 90s, since Mac OS 8, we think. We recommend it to anyone as the best spider solitaire out there. You'd think we'd beat it more often!! We have a few of the other of his games & they are pretty nice, too.
If we can't win at first we can start over with no penalty. Sometimes it takes half a dozen tries it is truly free. Never a charge. Love it.
LOVE TO PLAY THIS GAME! We win this game often and most times it's very challenging! Makes you feel like you've really accomplished something when you win! We've won 22 games so far with this streak and beginning to believe we're going to have to start all over again! Our best streak is 44 games won in a row!! We're trying to break that record. Can't give up.
It makes waiting at the doctor's office a lot more pleasant.
