Really good graphics, story, and love the chose your own path. Worth the funds.. Great job! Looking forward to more like this.

We play these every day. This was a great deal of fun. However, no bonus game.

It keeps crashing when we try opening the app to play. Disappointing.

In comparison to eventide 1, this game is kind of lacking. Still a decent game but was pretty short. Story kind of lacked, we didnt feel super challenged and there werent that many interactive spots in each location. The map isnt super useful compared to other games. We have the subscription so we got a small discount but we think the first eventide game was just a lot more fun.

The beginning was a lot of fun, but you can only play up to a certain point in the game before you have to pay to continue.

We really enjoyed this game. We don’t know why people think it’s short, we found it to be quite long. We don’t use hints or skip puzzles, so if you do use those it will be quicker to finish we suppose. The graphics are good, storyline has been done before but not in this way. There are two sets of items to collect. The puzzles were all pretty easy except the marble door one, which took us quite a while to complete. We love Artifex Mundi games, and this one did not disappoint!

Very challenging. Have to stop occasionally to rethink to discover What am we missing. Recommend to anyone who likes a great mind game. Try it if you think you are sharp enough to think like the developer. Good luck!

Much more interesting than most of these games. Beautifully drawn and a scary fairytale feel. Not many long list in HO of things you dont need. Just a fun game.

Resubmitted due to updated app: This is a fairly acceptable sequel to its predecessor; however, we prefer the storyline of the former. The context maintains Slavic tradition and wisdom as it incorporates elements of fable, mythology, and fantasy, which arise as you venture to a world where magic, mystery, and superstition prevail; you will engage with fantastical, oddball creatures that can communicate and interact as humans do. The artwork exhibits Slavic artifacts and symbolism related to its tradition, such as the photos of the departed, together with the flowers and gifts left by loved ones; the statues of godly deities; and the potions made from ancient herbs to cast powerful spells upon menacing forces. The graphics are riveting in that they are beautifully illustrated with delicately hand-painted scenes. The color wheel is embellished with rich, revitalizing shades to exert a spirited and zestful climate. The characters you meet are eccentric and caricature-like in appearance; their personalities further enhance the storyline as each one requests your service or has a distinct tale to tell. You can customize your settings to eliminate sparkles and tapping penalties. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. The map navigation is adequate with speedy transport to labeled locations; available actions are indicated. Unfortunately, locations are not specifically individualized; rather, they are grouped together within certain general areas so you need to figure out which locations are ready for action. The diary neglects to record story progression; it contains the Herbarium, which leaves little to the imagination. The HOS are abundant enough to appease their faithful fans; they are effectuated in varied and interesting ways. The puzzles are very elementary in challenge; one example is the storybook form where you find highly-visible items in accordance with narration. Transition is seamless; touch sensitivity is very clean with precise response to our input. You have several sets of collectibles; they can vary regarding the challenge of discovery. This game is imperfect for the following reasons: 1. We dislike the unnecessary, repetitive dialogue if you tap around the relative areas adjacent to the characters. 2. Gameplay is very effortless with the completion of activity after a few scenes. 3. No bonus chapter and short length. 4. Other reasons stated above. We are torn between rating this 3 or 4 stars; we’re going with 4 stars because we are enjoying the story anyway, as well as the diverse HOS and the flawless mechanics.

Great gameplay great graphics and it is very enjoyable.

It was awesome but we could not redownload it.

Beautiful and enjoyable. Mini puzzles are fun and not too hard. Story is engaging, videos clear and realistic. Will buy more from this series!

Artifex Mundi is one of our favourite game developers, but this game’s mechanics were not up to AM’s usual superb standards. No orb to let the player know when all collectibles have been found, no alternate mini-game for HOGS, and long pauses in dialogues that make one think the NPC has finished speaking when it hasn’t so tapping clears the next lines before reading is possible. Also, entering scenes narrative should either stay on screen longer or return if player taps somewhere. No time to take in the gorgeous scenes, lol. Finally, would prefer more interactivity in alchemy recipe creation. Positives outweigh those few issues, though. Option to choose elevates HOG to interactive novel status for us in terms of plot development. Cool! Music and visuals are pleasing, as usual. Custom gameplay difficulty and quick-transport map allows for more immersion and less frustration in completing goals. Try this game, you may enjoy it if you prefer adventure with your object hunts.

Started off great, then we couldn’t go any further without paying $. That’s not our definition of a great puzzle game.

Many reviewers experienced problems but we did not. We absolutely loved this game! As with all Artifex Mundi games the graphics are just beautiful, great story, even mix of hos and puzzles which is important since so many rely heavily on hos, and contrary to others opinions we felt the game was a good length – especially considering the price! G5 and big fish charge $6.99 for some games that are shorter including the bonus chapter. We’re sad to see an only 4 star rating here as this game is a solid 5! We do however understand how frustrating it is to buy a game then experience a glitch that doesn’t allow you to progress and finish. Thankfully we didn’t experience that.

The voice overs were a bit over kill, however other than that it was a good game.

It been ok not our favorite but it’s good.

Fun game way to short. Disappointed in that because we were really getting in to it and then it was over!

We haven’t purchased the game yet but we like it so far!

We purchased this game earlier in the month along with a few others. Today we see that it was trying to update due to "bug fixes!". Much to our surprise it was stuck in the update mode and now the screen top icon is gone and we cannot re-download. What’s up BF?

This game grabbed our attention from the very start. We liked everything about it. Story line was nice; flow was just right, colors and characters were awesome. We are looking forward to the next in the series to come out. Thanks for a great game.

Little short which is why we play all these on expert mode because it takes a little bit longer. The puzzles are challenging and almost on caliber with MCFiles, but not as impossibly difficult. The eventide story is a good one. The hos are not easy in expert mode. Really these are super easy if you dont play them in anything but expert mode. We think it makes our brain work harder. Also we love to look for the achievement objects in any game and this has two types to look for.

And we love this company. It’s so nice to be able to get quality games, with charming characters & great storylines, available from someone other than BF. (who is really going downhill lately) I’d love to be able to get a newsletter, or something similar, from Artifex Munda, so that we’ll always know when a new game is released, (Will you consider something like this, please?) because we don’t want to miss anything from them! The series are wonderful, & we love how the same characters appear again until they’re defeated! It makes the game feel more personal. Keep up the great work, A.M., and we’ll keep buying from you!

Fabulous & Intriguing storyline with beautiful clear graphics. Character voices are believable and well done. Just started, so far hidden object scenes are of silhouette type, however this game is so interactive with lots of things to do & see we haven’t minded. Another plus is you not only have a teleporting map, but you actually make choices in the game which is a nice touch. The background music and the whole story will pull you in from the beginning! This developer is one that never disappoints! We wish they would release games more often, as the thought & detail that is put into it is Amazing. Buy it – we are sure you will Love it!!! Thank you, KdBoots.

We’ve been playing hidden object games for a while and this is the first one where we want to play multiple times because you make choices in the game which change the ending. Helps make the purchase more worthwhile.

We’re really enjoying this game. Great storyline, beautiful graphics, teleporting map, labeled inventory and a diary. We look forward to future Eventide series. Thank you kimtwilight for recommending Eventide.

Enjoyed the game. It was relaxed and easy to play. Not real challenging but the storyline was interesting and kept your attention. It was rather short but worth the price. Liked that the hos didn’t tax you to death trying to find the most minute object and there weren’t that many to deal with. Equally their were very few puzzles and the ones they had present no challenge to solve. The game consisted mostly of finding objects and using them pretty much within the next 2 scenes. If the game was a bit longer and the puzzles were a bit more challenging, we would have given it 5 stars. Artifex is one of our favorite developers and we’ll continue to buy all there games even though some our so much better than others.

Thanks, KimTwilight for the heads-up! This game was still better than the junk that BigFish has been giving us for the past 3 weeks! Especially since the price was only $2.99! This game was a fantasy game as opposed to horror. You could customize settings. The graphics were colorful, if not complex, but definitely decent. The cut-scenes were interesting. Inventory was labeled and interactive and certain items required assembly. There was a marked, if so customized teleport map; however there were a few locations in one area so you still had to figure out where you needed to perform an action. That was fine because the game was a bit simplistic, albeit fun to play. There are collectible mirrors and cards. The storyline was interesting, the game flowed well, you had to make decisions which affected the outcome of the game, and still you manage to help all the villagers. Nobody is ever truly altruistic! You even help a mouse, which we managed to do without crying! The HO scenes had some variation but thank goodness there wasn’t an HO scene every 10 seconds. The puzzles were fairly simple but we didn’t mind most of them. We only skipped one boring rotational one, which for us is pretty good, as we are not a patient person. The game wasn’t overly long but for the price it was fine. We wish they had given us a bonus adventure. We deducted a star only for length and for the poor syntax, grammar and vocabulary. You could obviously tell that English was not the primary language of the developer. Also reset buttons would be nice on some of the puzzles. However we actually liked this game, and we haven’t enjoyed any games in a few weeks! We thought it was us but apparently it’s BigFish giving us a bunch of crummy games! We sure hope the new Amaranthine Voyage comes out soon. We need a blockbuster! If any reviewers playing this game want to play great games, you must check out Five-BN UK! Their games are fabulous and they have a new one out. We have rated all their games in this genre a full 5 stars, and we are not generous with stars. Catalinas, you are now inducted on to the Dream Team Elite! Welcome! Please flesh out your reviews with a bit more info. You are a good reviewer. Part of being on the team is you must also clue us in if there are RATS in a game! We play it anyway but at least forewarned is forearmed! Thanks! Lynxie sends to the DTE!

We liked the first game better. Sorry Artifex.. Minus a star for voices that continue to run AFTER you’ve moved on, and minus another star because we hate the ‘choices’ model.. We’re not going to play the entire game twice to see another ending, or to get all the achievements. Maybe let the player change their choices all at once at the end and show the alternate ending.

Some sloppy english translation and below average character design; had potential and a good storyline but it was just OK.

We were going to give game 4 stars for good value at the discounted price we paid, but found an update error that needs to be fixed. We notice others are having the same problem so it’s not our device, it’s a bug. Other than that, the game has nice graphics, the story is OK, the map allows movement without too much backtracking, but it is a little short and the mini games not very challenging if paying full price.

Play 20 minutes and then you have to pay to continue! Not worth it!!
