Everdell is a Card/Board game from Dire Wolf Digital LLC, first launched in 28th July 2022.
It’s rated 4+ and currently has 2,078+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Everdell Stand Out

From Everfrost to Bellsong, many a peaceful year has passed in Everdell — but the time has come for new territories to be settled and new cities to be established…

Adapted from the award-winning board game from Tabletop Tycoon, Everdell is a fantastical city building game combining worker placement and strategic card play to create a new civilization. Gather resources to build fanciful Constructions and recruit colorful Critters to make your city thrive. Each card in your city scores points, and after four seasons have passed the highest-scoring city wins!

Face off against other founders in cross-platform multiplayer games, or test your civic wits with AI play and Solo Challenges!

On each turn, you'll take one of three actions:

1.) Place a Worker. Send one of your helpful workers out into the valley to gather resources! Berries, Twigs, Resin, Pebbles…and of course Cards! You'll need them all to help your new civilization grow.

2.) Play a Card. Your city can hold up to 15 Construction and Critter cards. Cards generate resources, open up new abilities, and score points to win the game! Discover combos and synergies to race past your opponents.

3.) Prepare for the Next Season. When the seasons change, your workers come home and get ready for the next round. But plan your city carefully! After four seasons, the Winter Moon returns and the game will end.

There are buildings to construct, lively characters to meet, events to host— you will have a busy year ahead of you!

Will the sun shine brightest on your city before the winter moon rises? Welcome to Everdell!

This Card game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

We would love the expansions to be included in this game, we are a new leaf expansion owner and wish it would be virtual too. This would add more interest into the game as well since it creates a unique experience for each game played. Great game both virtual and actual board game, please bring in the expansions.

Loved it as a board game. Love it as an app.

Wonderfully done. Never played the tabletop game but the tutorial is great. We just wish there was an easier way to look at your cards. Also we would love to see a symbol on the achievements of the things you have already. Itll get easier as we get more familiar with everything Im sure.

Great game! Our family loves the tabletop version and it is great that we can take it on the go easily with this app. One thing we would request is an undo button. Perhaps a submit before your end of turn rather than an auto end turn as it is now. We have experienced many accidental plays. Recently, we were trying to scroll up to see the tree and the special events and instead it played a card from the meadow that we didnt want. Otherwise, it is esthetically beautiful with the spirit of the board game. Love the critters and the sound effects.

Great digital version of the game.

Love the game, would love to see patches return and the rest of the legendary cards added! The game gets plenty of engagement, please show is some love.

Game is awesome as always. Glad to get solo experience in app. Although we would still perfect table top plays over app version.

This game is great! The only reason we gave it four stars is because its hard to see on a small screen like our phone. Making our competitive edge wane Im not able to see everything we need to all at once.

Could use some ui scaling functionality for iPad mini. And an undo button but Im enjoying.

We love this game but there are a lot of glitches. Needs an update.

Hear us out. We love Everdell and we love this digital adaptation. But when you zoom in on the meadow and it mistakes the gesture for we want to play Woodcarver even though we have zero wood we have a big problem. Please implement undo like you did with Everdell. For the love of God . Also Im having trouble thinking of a worse bug than being unable to see the end of a game because someone automatically started another game with you.

The art, sound design, and UI leaves nothing to be desired, and the multiplayer action is where the real fun is.

We just got the board game and fell in love with the game so had to get this. This is a great way to learn the game but also play with friends. You can play alone or with others. Overall we love the graphics and how detailed it is, we do wish there was an option to see your hand better (like they have the option for the meadow cards) or reorganize your cards. Really would love to see the expansion in the app.

Great but we wish they had expansions for more replay ability.

Nice tutorial to refresh rules and the game play is smooth and effortless, not to mention fun!! We also think the graphics are as good and cute as we have seen in an app game.

Everdell is one of our most played board games of all time, we were very happy to see they made a great version of it for the phone. This is a worker placement game, which means you play workers as actions to collect resources which you can use to make buildings or recruit critters. With each critter and building you get points to win the game. The art style is probably one of the best we have seen in a game, and the theme of animals makes it wholesome.

Everdell is a complex, adorable game that is so so fun. We play it all the time, its amazing.

This game is fun but accessible. Its our favorite way to relax.

A great game! Not exactly like the board game but close. Please add the expansion games as the basic game gets boring after awhile. Thanks.

We love Everdell! We just wish they would add more expansions as it gets really repetitive pretty quickly. Also, it would be great if they would add a button to confirm you would like to proceed before playing a card or meeple.

This app is very smooth and interacts very seamlessly locally and online. Great color and visuals. We have the analog version of the board game and this is like the arena equivalent to MTG. Works like a charm. There are a couple quirks with some of the cards if you dont play them in the exact sequence they would go ideally (stacking, occupying, free cards, etc.) but its a once in several playthroughs type of thing. Also, it can be a bit small and hard to read if its on your phone. Several of us downloaded to tablets because our phones couldnt handle the small text and images. Its a 4/5 for us. But a STRONG 4. Well not get bored of this anytime soon.

Can we please get Vision Pro added as supported. From what we hear its a simple checkbox to approve. Would be great to at least be able to play iPad version of Everdell on it. Vision Pro native app would be the dream but understandably would take a lot of development.

Could you add Chinese for the app? Thanks. Beautiful app. Our family really enjoy it.

Solid app but the flaws can end a game immediately! They need to have a better way to place your meeple on a location. Too many times you will think you are placing on a location only for it to place you on a different (highlighted) location. Also, they need to remove the skip button on many screens. Why is there even an option to SKIP when we place our meeple on a location to gain resources? They have made the game unnecessarily confounding and, if they want a top rating, need to fix those issues.

Love the board game. You definitely need a back button to fix mistakes and miss clicks when you are trying to scroll the screen.

Gorgeous and mostly quite good, but sometimes a worker ends up in a different spot than we went for, there is no way to restructure your turn mid-turn, and the Judge will just stop working if you have an Architect and less than 6 resin/stone.

Thank you devs for a great adaptation of the board game. The digital version here is beautiful, sounds great, and does a good job adapting the board game's rules to a digital platform. Unfortunately there are a couple moderate disappointments. The game's ratio, we suppose, is not optimized for pro max phones. There is a "bar" around the screen instead. The visual previews on the appstore page don't show what the game really looks like to play. Secondly, and maybe far worse, there is no "undo" button. It is extremely easy to accidently place a worker where you don't mean to, and waste a move. If these issues are addressed, we'd happily upgrade our review to a full five stars.

Playing on our phone is nearly impossible.

We love the board game, but the app is too frustrating to play. Even playing on the largest iPad, the screen is cluttered with too much information, the meadow cards are too hard to read without opening them one at a time, you cant tell which cards are played in your city without opening them one at a time, the animations are distracting, the icons of the other players take up too much screen real estate. There is no back button for if you accidentally hit the wrong button or card, so sometimes you touch something to make it bigger to read it, and then youre stuck with that as your choice to play. Some of the interface choices dont make any sense; for example, when you select a worker to place, it becomes un-highlighted instead of highlighted. So confusing. The clunky awkwardness of the entire experience is far more frustrating and enjoyable. Super disappointing, given how much we love the board game experience.

Our only complaint is that we wish you could play online with friends and ai. Everything else is delightfully well made.

Still need some kind of back up mechanism when the drag and drop goes to wrong location.

Great adaptation to an app. We havent had any issues and have played it a LOT. Hoping they add some of the expansions some day. Really happy with this purchase.

We fell in love with the physical game, and love that we can have it mobile. The one thing we would love is an option to choose a random challenge to play. The solo play option is good, but gets a little boring after a while, and Im not consistent enough of a player to play the online options with other humans, but the challenges offer just enough pressure to be a much better option than solitaire. Would just be nice to have a random button that chose one.

It is a very fun and we love the interface. Its like playing the real thing. Sometimes its hard to play with our group since our schedules dont always align but with this app its fun to find each other and play online. Thank you for this great expansion of fun to this desired game in our family.

We decided to get the digital version to help us learn how to play. The tutorial is very helpful. And enjoying being able to just sit down and play a quick game. Hope we can get expansions added.

Love this game!!!!!! We wish we could get the expansion though But still we love this game.

When we dont have anyone else to play the physical Board game with us this is a great option to keep our skills up! We are very serious about everdale in our household and the challenges on the app has helped us immensely! Great for on the go as well. Very impressed with the animation as well. Good work.

Were obsessed with Everdell. Playing more online so that we can play different scenarios on our own. Having said that, there are a few glitches where cards are highlighted but cant be played, or visa versa. It is also very easy to place cards by mistake, hopefully theyll fix that. Its beautiful and beautifully complex. We love all versions of Everdell, including this one with all its flaws.

Love the game. User friendly interface. Wished there was an option to create a game with other live people with challenge settings.

Everything was done right. When are the expansions coming out.

As with the board game, this game is awesome! Gameplay is easy and the graphics beautiful.

The app is a very good implementation of the base game. Very close to a 5 star rating. There are a couple of bugs, for instance when you play a destination card (red cards like the Inn or Post Office) you often cant place a worker there for some reason. Also, in solo play with AI opponents you often cant play a worker to one of the Open destination cards in an AI players city. Ive encountered this bug numerous times and it is annoying. They also dont have implementation for the expansions yet. Once the bugs and expansions are straightened out this app is a 5 star rating.

Every once in a while our game locks up and even if it says our turn, we cannot select anything on the board. Another fix in gameplay would be to make sure not more than 2 pairs of the same card are in the meadow. There are times when theres even 3 of the same card and double of another card which really makes it unenjoyable.

It keeps freezing up and timing out during online play. Very disappointing for a $10 app.

This app is great, until it isnt. It stops working at least once out of every five games, and theres no way move it past whatever loop its stuck in – pretty disappointing.

Love the game a lot, very buggy tho, we wouldnt have bought it had we known we cant complete some games as they get hung up on actions. These could be easy fixes we hope a dev hops in and addresses them.

We love this game and the graphics are adorable, but there are many issues where the game doesnt follow the rules correctly; for instance, if you play 2 harvester/gatherer sets with only 1 farm in your city, it will not allow you to pick your second resource from the second set even though the card specifically says that you only need 1 farm to select 1 any resource. It also sometimes miscounts cards allowing players to play more than 15 in their city (we just played a game where we were allowed to play 16 and the computer was allowed 17!), and no, Im not counting harvester/gatherer combos. If these bugs were fixed, we would absolutely give 5 stars.

Very stable. Crisp. Gameplay, audio and animations top notch. We only wish they had an option to buy extra modular expansions. Hopefully this is in the works and Everdell has loads of them. The development team who built this though is nothing short of amazing 5/5.

The board game is a lot of fun, we actually purchased this to understand the game well enough to play with our wife! However draw two meadow cards only lets you draw one. Placing your critter down is pretty easy to set in the wrong space since the placements are so close together. Definitely not as enjoyable as we wouldve hoped. We hope they decide to update the bugs.

We were so stoked to find out that this games works amazing on MacOS and iphone/ipad. Favorite mobile game of all time.
