In this multiplayer, kitty-powered game of chance, players draw cards — until someone draws an exploding kitten and blows up. Then that player is out unless they have a defuse card. Defuse cards allow players to neutralize furry foes with laser pointers, belly rubs, catnip sandwiches or other diversions. All of the other cards in the deck can be used strategically to move, mitigate or avoid. Featuring original art by The Oatmeal.

This game is really fun. Only problem is that occasionally the Armageddon card crashes the whole game. Many times its a final hail mary card that gets played to determine the winner, so its very frustrating when it crashes the game and then theres no winner. We thought it was a us problem, so we upgraded our ipad but it still happens. Theres also a flaw where if someone steals your card really fast, you dont even have the option to use your Nope card. It would be cool if they introduced a couple more fun cards into the mix, but otherwise its super fun and we highly recommend.
Ill give it a 5 star if they can fix the Armageddon bug. It will cause the game to freeze. And its always late game. That is a must fix. The other thing is the Nope card. Sometimes you dont get enough time to use it. And if you play it too late, you lose the card and dont get the effect. Other wise its a fun casual game. Adding some more avatars would be nice.
When we use the GodCat card, it always glitches when we try to put the exploding kitten back in the deck by not letting us put it back, so than the other players keep going. Please fix this bug to make it more playable.
Game freezes when the Armageddon card is played. Fake Shuffle actually shuffles the deck, instead of doing what its supposed to, which is NOT shuffle the deck.
The game is great and all dont get us wrong. The concept is great, the gameplay is fun and quirky, but theres a major issue setting it back from being great: that being the Nope cards just not working whatsoever. Either itll give you the option to lay them down, and it just wont lay down for some reason, or it will let you lay it down, but it doesnt do anything whatsoever. If this were to be fixed it could most definitely be 4-5 stars.
We like it alot it is super entertaning.

The game is so cool cause we thought it was bad. Ive been trying to do it and also basically we like the game.
We were questioning getting this app because of the negative comments towards the annoying glitches. Ive had this game for a while now, and Ive no problems; no glitches, no ads, nothing. This game has options to play locally, with strangers, or by yourself when you are offline. We would 100% recommend this game for Exploding Kittens lovers. We love it.
We swear to God, is it just us or does better than solitaire or any other card game this game is based off of a board game off of a never a game and now into an epic series. Our Netflix got to be serious like Ive been addicted to this game 10/10 review.
Please, Please, PLEASE!!!! Take out the Armageddon card or fix the bug! The game 80% crashes when someone uses that card. And the closer the game the higher the chance its going to freeze the game. Ive submitted a report in this like a month ago and it has NOT changed! Please! Change it for a different card or something. PLEASE!!!! And thank you.
You cant make a guest account but otherwise its a great game.
This game is great! But the update wont, wellupdate. So we cant play online or with friends or anyone! Ugh ! And setting up the real game is sooooooo hard.
This is a lot of fun, and continues the card games wackiness with art, music, and preset phrases players can say to the group. However the well-documented gameplay bugs/glitches described in past reviews drive us nuts.
The game is fun, however the players that are not moving or going to loose they leave the match and this messes up the winning or loosing. They should not allow leaving unless you died or/ if you leave a computer should take over a finish the Match. Also they need to fix Armageddon. Is so glitchy. Ughhhh about to delete soon.
There really needs to be timed turns.
Constantly having to restart the app. Armageddon for us just mean when we play it we cant play anymore. Sometimes when using nopes it freezes too. Earlier said there was 100% chance of exploding kitten even though there were 2 cards and two players.
We see so many people in here complaining about the bugs in this app. Idk if the developers just dont care or what? We want to love this app because we love the game, but its not fun when over half the games lock up and we just end up leaving them. The Armageddon card is a huge issue.
So many times we cant play a nope card or can reset the bomb. Too glitchy to play and not get frustrated.

This game is awesome, except when someone in the round tries to use Armeggedon for a second time in the game. Ive been SO CLOSE to winning multiple games that ended in disappointment. It has become more often frustrating than fun, but when the game works we could go on and on for a long time.
Please fix the glitches as other people mentioned. But one main and small change we want to address is when playing with friends, after a game is over and clicking play again, we shouldnt have to enter a code to restart game again. Thats really annoying to keep entering codes every game. It would be nice to just start a new game with the same people and same room. Hopefully you can take our advice. Thanks haha.
This is a pretty good game but like we said there has gotta be some sort of time limit. We mean someone can literally go afk and nothing will happen its insane. It makes the game borderline unplayable at times.
We really like this game, but some people cheat to force the other players to quit so they win by default! When in Armageddon theres no time limit, so players will play that card and then sit in it. They sit in it long enough that the other players leave the game because theres nothing we can do! There needs to be a timer on Armageddon.
Its stupid when a player can bring the game to a stand still by not finishing their turn when they know theyve been beat.. Force a draw or auto exploding kitten for players that dont make a move in 25 seconds.
This game is okay but nothing makes us more angry then it auto picks up a card out of nowhere.
Love new content, but this is not a stable multiplayer game at all.
Super fun game and easy to play however theres too many glitches. 1. Having to leave the game bc it just stops working 2. Will play a card for you when you didnt want to 3. Will draw a card for you before the time is even up 4. Wont always let you nope a player even though you had it ready/will sometimes let you use the nope card and then wont actually work. Please fix it :).
We just wish there was local multiplayer and that you can play with the original deck.
Fun game but hard to play with glitches such as 1) getting stuck in waiting room and have to leave and come back, sometimes repeatedly, to get into a game, 2) having to leave mid-game because Armageddon glitched and unable to make any more moves, 3) the time-out feature for absent players doesnt work and cant continue the game, 4) plays cards from your hand without you selecting them.
We love this game. Its so fun and the feature to play with friends works awesome. The problem is that it has sooooo many glitches, lately Ive had to leave almost every game because it freezes! It sometimes plays a card for you and other times it wont let you NOPE someone else. Please fix all this problems.
When the game works, its super fun however nearly 65% of the games end up crashing for everyone and doesnt allow the players to continue the match. This is usually when they use the Armageddon card. We could see ourselves spending hours on here cause of how fun this game can be without all the glitches. Pls fix the game.
No point in playing if it stops in the middle of the game. It doesnt really crash or freeze. It just gets stuck. The game doesnt progress. We can still tap on items to see their descriptions and all the animations still work. Please fix.
Game is pretty broken. Time out mechanics are not working any longer so a user that either disconnects or takes too long holds the rest of the game hostage as they will not be forced to draw a card at present.
Fix it Netflix !!!! Do something ok.
Overall Ive recently gotten in the exploding kittens game/universe because of the Netflix series, we used this app for a week and had no complications honestly, it hyped us up so much, we went to buy the original exploding kittens app and it was buggy with a capital B, we can admire the other decks, and etc Ive heard about the original. But we think this is a good app, especially until exploding kittens 2 comes out, but it would be nice if they updated this app with the other decks Ive heard about.
People keep cheating in armageddon.
Im losing against our self in the game. We put it on easy. We tried it three time we keep losing.
Game is fun as a single player but would be more fun if multiplayer would actually work. We have only been able to connect with our sons version one time and have played with strangers twice. The waiting room usually keeps spinning players in and out and will never connect. A real shame because this deck is better than the paid version.

Very fun game when it actually connects. Maybe once out of every 10 times trying to connect does it actually work. Ill change our review when this is fixed.
We really like the game but this version is very buggy and gets frustrating. Im not going to list all the issues because we see theyve been addressed in several other reviews already, some of them a year ago and it still hasnt been fixed.
They changed the decks. The gameplay is worse, they changed the decks and its just bad. Its also buggy. Really disappointing for someone who liked the original.
Its so fun playing it Im an OG we have played since the beginning of the game it is nostalgia to see it we have not played in a long time Im gonna see what changed.
This is a fun unique game, we have the card game and THE NEW CARDS we SAW IN THE VIDEO GAME, OH BOY! It was so much fun winning and the loses we had some ended up to be unexpected. Honestly, great job. We were not expecting this much, we also just encountered a glitch. It was the last card and we grabbed it and we put our defuse in the card pile before we had to like before the warning appeared and we had 2 DEFUSE, 2! And we exploded and we lost? Can you check this out please? Other then that, thank you so much for this amazing, wonderful, full of twists & turns as well as exciting, & last but not least fun, unique game.
We downloaded this on Netflix and there was like a whole other trailer for like God cat versus devil cat and like all that stuff and all of us who downloaded this never got access to all that.
