We recently found out about this game through a post from Queer Chameleon and Ive really been enjoying it. Our only complaint is that the game is laggy when special effects are turned on which we find annoying because having special effects on is the only way Ive found to see shiny cards. Id love to see special effects split into two different toggles, one that toggles shiny cards and the other that toggles particle trails and other special effects.
We love this game a lot, so Im really sad that the game is basically unplayable after the new update. We pay for the no ads version, but the app doesnt give us any of the perks that Im definitely being charged for. We wasnt sure if we had accidentally cancelled so we tried to re-subscribe but when we clicked the button it said we were already subscribed. Ive even restarted our phone multiple times after closing the app repeatedly didnt work. To make things worse, the ads make it harder for the game to load correctly so it frequently freezes. Basically after every round played we need to close out the app in order to play again. We hope this is fixed soon because we really enjoyed this game, but its just too frustrating for us to play right now.
This game was fun but we had to redownload it and not only will none of our data restore, but our purchases wont either even though we have an active subscription, no matter what we do.
We got a new iPhone and we guess the progress doesnt sync to Game Center so we lost all our decks and coins.
Have used this app for YEARS and loved it, but this new update is terrible. It crashes every time we finish a game or collect a card.
We love this game, its our favorite solitaire app Ive used and the flicking feels so intuitive. We cannot stand the new system to collect cards. Its now nearly impossible to complete a deck and we keep getting cards we will never use. This update has made us decide to use an Adblock because this is genuinely the most greedy system Ive seen outside of a gacha game and the devs dont deserve any ad revenue from us.
We have been playing on PC for awhile, thought it would be cool to link our account to play on mobile. No thanks. Im not going to skimp 8-16 points a game then have to watch ads. You want to 5x those rewards then you will be in the neighborhood. Until then, uninstalled.
We dont want to collect certain decks, and Id rather not pay real money to just decrease or increase the chance of us filling out the decks we want. We preferred paying to unlock decks rather than every single one becoming available and lessening the chances of the decks we want being filled out.
We really want to love this app, since its visuals are so great, but it has a major accessibility issue. While it seems the developers have taken into account motion sickness in the options, spider solitaire is unplayable even with all options selected. For some reason, it was decided that a vertically played game would start in the middle of the screen, leaving half of it unused. Now, when the cards reach the bottom of the screen the game is constantly zooming in and out every move in order to fit them on the screen. Other apps obviously fix this our just starting the cards at the top of the screen and utilizing the whole thing, but even then this could be solved by reducing the vertical distance between the cards instead of zooming. Please fix this so that we can play this game without getting sick.
The game is pretty fun and has the prettiest cards of any game by far! The only thing we find annoying is that even after youre done collecting a deck, they make you keep collecting them to get shiny cards. We do wish there was a way to opt out of this, its a bit annoying to play tons of levels only to get shiny cards that we dont really care about of decks we already have. We feel like the game would be much more satisfying if it was a chance of either getting a new card or getting nothing, it does feel like you get stuck in loops of only collecting useless cards.
Absolutely love this game! All the art is amazing, and theres so much variety you can find a deck for everyone! Theyre adding new decks to collect pretty often, too. We love that you can unlock all the decks through normal gameplay instead of real world currency. At first we were slightly disappointed that there wasnt freecell, but we hear theyre planning to add it! We cant wait! The only thing Id change in this game is maybe being able to choose which suit to use for 1 suit spider solitaire, but Id understand if thats a difficult mechanic to put in, and it really only applies to that one game.
We love this app and we play it every day when we need a moment to quiet our brain. The art is lovely and Ive had a club flick membership for a while now. We decided to make the move to the Collector subscription and now we have unfortunately lost all apparent records of even our Club Flick subscription, as well as all of the settings on our app even though we had saved them right before upgrading our subscription. Restoring purchases just brings up a message that no record of a subscription can be found, which isnt accurate. Still love this app though and hopefully it will fix itself at some point soon, the technical issue and inability to collect the rewards that Ive paid for is the only thing keeping it from being five stars really.
We understand that there are some aspects to the randomizing that may come up with certain boards being difficult to improbable to beat. Today we are playing the Daily Double Solitaire Deal 3 board for the extra rewards. This was the first time since using the app where there is no solution to completing it. Just for fun, we spent around 100 in-game coins to find the games solution to that board and it ended up being not solvable. Overall, the app and art used for this game is great! But incredibly frustrating to use a board that appears once every few says and its impossible to solve. It defeats the purpose of a fun daily challenge, when it cant be beat.
Years and years! Our go to game for medical waiting rooms, layovers and late sleepless nights. Lately ive been kind of miffed about the changes to collecting cards, we really DO NOT LIKE how more than half the time you get cards from decks you already have. The odds need fixed. We dont mind occasionally hitting a dupe, but more than 75% of the time makes card collecting painful when collecting things is typically an activity and game function we really love and thoroughly appreciate. Also as of recently the game will not even let us watch an ad for a card reward as it already forced us to watch one as soon as our game ended (with no reward) and when we try to willingly watch an ad for a prize it just says theres no ads??? We just watched one what do you mean!! We really would like a little compensation for that business because that left a very gross feeling with us. Like we feel like im owed at least a crack at a new card for every other ad. Youre way stingy about them as it is, and it makes collecting a slog. It wasnt always this way, either, or we might not care as much but the rate of progression for as many different decks as there are to collect is just ridiculous right now as it used to be manageable and even very enjoyable. Right now we make so little progress with so much gameplay it feels downright pointless.
Absolutely love this game it adds our love for collecting things, art, and solitaire games together to one :) – our only suggestion is to add a feature for when there are no possible moves for a game for it to tell you, ive sat there tearing out our head wondering what we were missing then hit hint and it said no moves :/ – Another suggestion! Maybe yo could add levels of collection for the decks? Like you could rearrange them so that the one on top has more chance of getting picked, or letting you keep a deck in storage if you dont end up liking it.
Had to watch 3 ads to exit a level :/.
We used to love this game and how fun it is. But now it just takes us to the loading screen (as usual) and crashes when it reaches 100%.
We love this so much! Such pretty art and we love that it shows a lot of smaller artist art and lgbtqia+ art and stuff like that! Its such a nice variety! The hints and keys at first seemed hard to earn back but we figured out where they were and watching an ad for some hints or keys feels worth it to us there is definitely a good amount of ads but we dont mind them since they are all skippable and are often not very long. Thank you for this fun idea.
The 7 of clubs queer chameleon card had a green line in the middle from top to bottom.
Its great and has almost no ads but it is kinda hard to navigate it when you first start out but yipee.
This game is very fun. We love the rewards system, and it feels balanced. Their support is also very quick and helpful.
So we were playing trying to get one of the decks of a certain YouTuber that we found that got us interested and it kept saying internet connection issues we tried two different WiFis and service but no matter what it kept saying it.
Pretty much everything about this app is fantastic (aside from minor glitches from time to time) but there are far too many ads now. There's also this annoying spinning animation that plays every time we try to collect a card, wish there was a way to disable that.
Fantastic game. We love all the different kinds of decks. But there are game-breaking bugs. The first happened when we first opened the app. The tutorial broke. It wanted us to move up from a game on the top row. The second happened after we won a deal of elevens. It didnt give us rewards and now Im stuck on the elevens screen with no cards there. Exiting the app doesnt work and it wont let us go back to the menu.
Ads will open pop ups. Watching the ads after requesting the game to restart does not actually reset the game 10% of the time. If you watch an ad for a card, it will not reflect,so no point of additional ad. Cards you win as reward for completing level do not reflect accurately. All of this just makes us not want to go as often on the game, and also loose interest in the cards which is the main differentiation from other apps but since it doesnt work properly its lost value. We like the daily challenges and the solitaire variety and card art.
We Havnt been able to play it very well because it keeps freezing and wont load new games and crashes ! Is this going to be resolved? We dont want to delete it but if we cant play its pretty useless.
Its really good, we were thinking that at the end of our game testing that we might give a 4 star but the game keep crashing. The game crash the most with ads, and we know you have to put ads but the ads just keep crashing and crashing. Also we cant even turn sideways when playing, we used to can but cant anymore. Im a returning player, we used to played the game but uninstall because we lost interest in solitaire and was kinda busy with life, when we got back, it changed and we think its a worse change to be honest with you. The game is really good, we love and want to play it again one day, but with the constant crashing and all, we dont think we can. We cant even restart games now, its just a blank.
We wasn't a big solitaire person before we found Flick but this app is amazing for it. We love the incentive to win more and find more cards- our only complaint is that, even as a club flick member, it takes WAAAAY too long to complete a set. We like our main set though so we're fine playing more. We are so happy to see artists represented as an artist ourselves and we love how many options there are for games.
We are a huge fan of solitare, spider, and all other card game apps. Ive had numerous before but Flick is definitely our favorite! We love how they have so many options for what the cards and boards can look like! Earning the cards for new designs done by small artists is awesome!! We paid for the subscription because the ads can make our game glitch out but its so cheap considering we use the app daily. Highly recommend, so fun, so many levels and options for what kind of game you want to play. Love this app SO much.
And we dont mean the regular if constant ads, Im used to that. We dont know what happened, but whenever we try to play itll randomly send us to our browser and open a website that has an ad for free ipads for amazon or whatever and we have no clue how to stop it. Like did this game give our phone a virus or something what is going on. We mean the overheating and sudden screen freezing that gets rid of our progress is also unfortunate, but the weird pop up ad is wayyy more concerning right now. Like great graphics, love the game itself, but should we be concerned about this.
We personally LOVE this game until the last couple days the ads didnt bother us at all either until we started getting Amazon scam pop ups that took us out of the game every 30 seconds and opened our phones browser with out asking. Makes the app borderline unusable.
Ive totally gotten addicted to playing spider before going to sleep. Im anxiously awaiting gathering all the cards in a deck. BUT what are the coins for?!?!! They have NO purpose! You get more coins on Friday but for what? What can they be used for??? There is no redeem or exchange or card buying. Any option found in the menu is for actual purchasing – which coins are included in those packages. But why.
This is the best feeling and prettiest solitaire game out, but the changes to how coins work made it impossible to get new decks. Even when you watch ads. Coins dont buy decks anymore, they just unlock the ability for RNG rolls for cards. Used to get a new deck every couple months. Wasnt able to get a single new deck since the change was made. They included cards you already own and duplicates in the the free ones you get after a game which means every deck you unlock makes it harder for you to get new cards. At 52 cards per deck, if you have more than 3 or 4 decks it takes literally thousands of games (and thus thousands of ads) to get new cards, and the cards you get dont add up to a deck.
This is the most aesthetically pleasing and fun solitaire app Ive found. Collecting different decks is really fun, and flicking the cards is really satisfying. We also enjoy that it has more card games than just solitaire. However, the ads almost make the game unbearable to play. You get an ad every single time you finish a game. Even just restarting a level or going to the menu prompts an ad sometimes! Yes, the ads are only 5 seconds long, but theyre so aggressive and plentiful that the short length really doesnt make it feel better. We honestly would prefer 30 second ads that show up less often, having our gameplay interrupted constantly is just too irritating. We would 100% buy an IAP to remove the ads, but all they offer is a subscription we get the reasoning, but a subscription is extremely unappealing and judging by the reviews some people feel the same. The subscription already offers more perks than just getting rid of ads, so we dont see why a separate no ads IAP cant exist alongside it. That would take the game to 5 stars for us. A small nitpick as well: it takes extremely long to complete decks because we just keep getting duplicate cards. We love this game but Id also love to see some changes to how advertising is handled. We hope the devs start considering a no ads IAP.
We have played many solitaire games but this is by far the best one The card designs are amazing and for us we find the levels of game play arent too difficult bottom are they over simplistic. Keep new designs coming. Brilliant fun.
Do not waste your money to remove the ads , it is a scam. Twice we have spent money on the game to remove the ads and even have proof on Apple that we spent the money . The ads and banners always come back do not waste the money.
We started using this app and am pleased with the gameplay and options you have.
We love the fact that they have designers to create unique decks. Also all games are very fun. Ads are add usual very annoying, so they push you to purchase it.
This game has been a favorite for us since day one. The new update has not been well received, but we like it quite a lot now that the "relock" option is available for the collected deck area. In addition, we don't think there's an app out there with better customer service than Flick Solitaire – our queries have been answered with promptness and good cheer.
We love this game, but the latest update you dont earn a new card at the end of a game. You earn a card you already unlocked, it doesnt do anything, and we cant purchase anything with the in game coins.
This game is fine and all. The ads are not completely invasive, and we love the artists they hire for the card artwork. Its fun to collect cards for the decks. We take issue with the fact they want to tell us how to play the game. We understand that flicking the cards is the whole niche, but we dont need to be told every 5 minutes while Im tapping the cards or dragging the cards that flicking them is so much faster and easier and more accurate! We just think it comes off super rude and judgmental for people that want to play it differently. Also, they made the option to tap and drag. If they didnt want people to do it, why add it to the game? We dont know. Personally, we think it would be nice to be able to turn those pop ups off that keep telling us we need to play it their way. Other than that, its a good game full of several different solitaire games with a fun little twist and pretty artwork.
We play this game ALL the time, but just saw the update today. Im upset that all of the cards and backgrounds that we had are now gone. It very much upsets us.
We absolutely love this app but the latest update is atrocious. The new block system takes too long to navigate and is hard to understand. It was very satisfying seeing a simple level 500 but now its block 40 level 3 or whatever and it is not as fulfilling as it was seeing a regular level number. Overall amazing app, could cut down on apps a tad bit but that doesnt not interfere or takeaway from the gameplay like the new level system does.
We enjoyed the game before the latest update. We had fun collecting cards and the global flick challenges were a fun way to test our reflexes. Your latest update made the banner ads at the top obscure the top row of cards in normal solitaire for us. This forced us to manually move the board so we could see. Then when finishing a game and returning to the main menu an ad popped on the bottom of the screen obscuring the circular navigation button in the bottom right. In addition the app usually makes our phone run a bit hot before, but we also experienced some pretty bad lag making flicking impossible.
We liked the original way to collect decks of cards. This new way is really confusing and hard to understand. We wish we could downgrade it back to the update before. We just spent most of our coins getting a pack that we ALREADY HAD ENOUGH TO BUY before the update, and now we dont have enough. Please bring the old way back.
The new update makes the app hard to use, locks previously free features behind a paywall, and makes apps more intrusive. We were once a fan of this app because of the variety of independent artists featured in the deck art, and we think it made it a unique solitaire app. Now we can barely use it due to the update, and it is such a shame.
You can play Solitaire anywhere. There are thousands and thousands of solitaire apps to choose from to get the same game. Dont play this one. We liked Flick Solitaire when the ads werent prevalent and it didnt feel like they were shoving a subscription in your face. Well that was short lived. Now this game has slid back into the worst kind of app where you cant play the game as intended without slogging through incredibly intrusive ads. You used to be able to choose your background and card art, but now you have to pay for the privilege of a once permanent feature of the app. Thats greedy. Putting a paywall between something that used to be free. Gross. Plus a ton of rewards were removed and make it harder to earn coins to unlock back backs. Hate this update and lost all desire to push through the ads for a worse experience.
Really fun! But in the new update we somehow spent our card deck ticket thing on a deck we already owned.
Its very pretty and the decks are beautiful, and the flicking feels awesome. The gameplay is fun, but the decks are frustratingly hard to unlock without paying money, as you only get one card per game from one of forty decks, AND you can get duplicate cards which do nothing. Additionally, it makes your phone crazy hot and drains battery.
The ads are pornographic. We are a subscriber, love the creativity, ASMR sounds, some of the card backs are really cute, others; not so much. However, today we were shocked by 2 obviously underaged models dressed scantily depicted with attitudes that are right out of pediophile pornography. The explicit nature of the ads doesnt stop there, the other day a actual porno ad was put up for we subs to gain extra points so we can buy designer cards and get points for hints. We did not pull the loincloth off the man as instructed by his groin shoved into the screen, yet we are writing this review. We advise you get support ads from legitimate sources that dont risk your apps future. ASAP. Post Script, Id never consider this game safe for anyone under 18.
