Community Insight:
The game works well when playing solo against the robot. (we dont play multiplayer online so we cant speak to that.) we believe it saves if you quit the app, though we think it replays the animation of the last turn, which isnt a dealbreaker. We dont play with the expansions, so we cant speak to how those work. In the past the zombie expansion would freeze mid-game. That may have been fixed, but we prefer to play the base game anyway so we havent tested it recently. The game plays well on a phone since you can zoom in on cards. After youre familiar with them all you wont even have to zoom. We recommend this light strategy game where you can never predict the outcome. Its chaotic and enjoyable if you accept the chaos.
We just discovered this app tonight. We realize it is old. We hope the creators keep updating and add some more versions. We especially enjoy Star Fluxx, Star Trek Fluxx, and Doctor Who Fluxx (though we realize due to copyright/royalties the TV show-based versions would probably be too expensive to incorporate into the app. But we can hope! It took about 20-30 minutes to figure out how the app version worked. Sometimes buttons in the main menu wont respond. Overall, however, we loved getting to play Fluxx online with a friend and plan to do so again.
No user option to disable sound.
Hand limit zero should discard all your cards for you and the process of logging in should be more automated, otherwise well designed. Weapon bonus uses a play when it is not supposed to. Play all but 1 occasionally behaves the same as play all. If you use Lets do it again to take another turn after you played Take another turn on your last turn it wont give you a third turn as intended. It would be nice to see the game board centered vertically on newer phones.
This is such a fun game to play! 2 years is a long time to go without an update. So excited to see what they have in store for us.
We love Fluxx and have about 10 different decks and a few add-ons too. This bring the core game and the super fun Zombie Fluxx to life. We play this way more than we should Note to devs: still needs some work and debugging. One thing Ive noticed when playing with two computer players: very often, when player 2 wins the round, the app says that player 3 is the winner. Ive also deal with some crashes and unrecoverable games when there are too many rules on the board. We usually just kill the affected game and start a new one, but the crashing needs to be investigated.
We dont know we missed this great card game since its been out a long time, but Im glad we found it. The developer keeps it updated and has monetized it so fairly, with only optional IAP, and there are no ads. This is how games should be done. We love that it saves progress if you need to go back to a game later. Im enjoying playing against the AI. You dont get bored with this game because it constantly changes depending on the cards in play. And you can win, or lose, in an instant if things line up the right way, which makes it exciting. And because a lot of luck is involved, the strategy is relaxed, not stressful, so its perfect for a more casual player. Its also addicting, you always want to play just one more. Thank you for a fun game, developer, and for doing it right.
Love this game, but the most recent update was a step backwards for notched iPhones.
Well we like Fluxx and am glad to see the app version…HOWEVER…we are finding it hard to read the cards in our hand..and we are using an iPad mini…we can imagine the difficulty someone would have if using a phone…is there any way to zoom in on the cards? Hink we remember seeing something, but we also did not see a quick way to return to the main menu for help…thanks.
Fluxx is a fun game but needs more expansion ports.
We would gladly pay for more specialty versions, such as Doctor Who, Star Trek, Chthulhu, and others! Zombies is nice, but there are so many others and you could charge for each one.
We love the game, but wish you could fast forward the replay with multiple players.
Its a good app, but on the last update the layout now cuts off the corners of the board. We know it doesnt seem like a big deal but it cut off the indicator that showed if the other person was online still playing. So now we just have to sort of wait around to see if theyre still online and playing at the moment. We didnt realize how much we used that feature until it was gone.
We just became aware of Fluxx recently IRL and was so happy to find the app so we could play with friends when we arent together. We noticed immediately that notifications arent working, no biggie until we see more than five games open and waiting to start (with multiplayers) and suddenly the app seems overwhelmed because the offline games are constantly shutting off before we can finish them, and the screens are overlapping each other when we toggle between them. Truly Hope attention is paid to fixing this and adding decks. Thanks.
Its a decent implementation of Fluxx, but there are a few problems. Firstly, the cards dont seem to directly correspond to any of the tabletop versions, with a few Goals and Keepers missing, but even more New Rules missing. Some of the missing rules are ones that can be confusing on the tabletop version (Add 1 any time a card prints a number; draw one more if you have the fewest Keepers; play one more if you have the most) that would be trivial for a computer to keep track of. Online play is the worst feature, though. You can set a variety of time limits, from 15 minutes to 21 days. The very few times we were the last player to join a game, however, nothing happened. (Possibly because the person who created the match was no longer on their device?) So we created an hour long 2 player game, which after a short wait, got a second player. We won with 59:46 left because after the first move, our opponent never took their second turn.
We enjoyed an earlier version of this app. The graphics were clear, the sounds enjoyable, game could be adjusted for speed. We dont usually like to update apps but took a chance when we saw that online play was available. Im happy that the game itself was not altered. But the online portion is a joke. It appears to be turn based meaning others dont have to be online to make a move. With a game like Fluxx this is a nightmare as it can be a long game. We saw games started that were waiting an hour, four hours, even a day for others to join and play. And when we became fourth chair in one game we made a move then realized five minutes later no one else was there. We came back later in the day and one other had made a move. This is insane. We tried adding our friend who had just created an account and it couldnt locate her so we guess Ill just be playing offline.
Latest version has the players cut off by the notch.
The app really does work well, but the main pet peeve is you cant minimize while going to other apps. Or even checking notifications . You have to tap the game, wait for it to load, and let the last play replay itself. But other then that the game is beautifully designed and very responsive. Love the time easter egg.

Please, please, please allow us to delete completed games. We have a corrupted game that we cannot delete. Its annoying. Love Fluxx but cant find others who play irl. This is the next best thing. Wish theyd do Stoner Fluxx.
Great game playing with another human. Their Artificial Intelligence needs a lot of help. Its a good way to learn how to play and get familiar with what the cards say and do. But playing against the computer is pretty punk. Guys! Make the computer smarter.
Used to support Game Center as a login. That's been disabled. Now a new account through the publisher is required (on an insecure webpage no less). Great game. Terrible user handling.
We love the game but the app has bugs a lot of bugs we have the game still and but the bug just Mack it not fun do not get this app if you dont like bugs but if your ok with a lot of bugs get the app.
But the game is having an issue that it doesnt send notifications. Please fix issue.

Love this game and look forward to the other decks being added. One thing would like to see is if someone plays hand limit 1 and you have a bunch of cards to be able to select the one to keep and it automatically takes the other cards for you so you dont need to drag them or if its hand limit zero just take all the cards why do we need to drag them. Also think it would be cool to have an action card that if someone plays a rule you can veto it immediately instead of having to lose keepers or cards In your hand.
So happy to have this back and with enhancements. We hope to see all the themes available in digital.
Please make landscape mode. Also, do not force English keyboard. Other language keyboards have @ key elsewhere (not above number 2) and it could get confusing when trying to log in or add friends. We really like how the goal cards with watch have an actual working clock.
Id love to see the option for landscape in this. The other thing that would make this game great would be the option to sort your deck. It gets pretty hard to tell what they are when you get a ton in your hand. Otherwise, this is a fantastic option for when we dont have the table space for the cards or when only one of us wants to play. We love the animations on the cards.
We enjoy the game; unfortunately there is no way to play the game in horizontal view, so we cant play it for any length of time.
Great game, but is there any way to increase the size of the cards to read them? Neither our husband or we are able to play the game as it is with the small font on an iphone xr.
Game is fun but crashes about 1 in 3 games and cannot setup account to play online.
Fluxx is an amazing game, one of our all-time favorites, but this app just doesnt work. We wasnt able to play more than a few turns without the game starting over.
The account verification thing does not work.
This is one of our all time favorite games and has been in our life for years now. We recently moved across the country and still being able to play with friends and family was a reliefbut these expansion packs truly make it that much better. Thank you, thank you, thank you for adding creepers and zombies. We immediately bought both expansions and have been loving them! Yall are the best. Looking forward to the day Star Fluxx is available.
Its great to play our favorite game on the mobile. Would love the option to play different versions (zombie, marvel, chutulu) and have surprise cards.

So happy to be able to play this again . New chat function, a global one and game specific. New versions/special editions would be a cool future update, hopefully licensing isnt a nightmare. Honestly, cant think of a negative really, its a great card game and feels like a well done app.

Very true to original and an excellent time sink when you have caught all your idle games up. The AI is fun to play against, we mean it's Fluxx… It's not like they had to program much strategy into them… We wish there were more mobile Fluxx variants.
Awesome game and well implemented on iOS from the card game. Some aspects of the mechanics take getting used to, but once you figure out where to drag cards for some of the functions the game is really fluid. If you don't like chaos or adapting to change this probably isn't going to be a fun game. But if you can embrace the dynamic nature of the game it can be a very engaging and fun experience (and frustrating – but that's part of the charm as well!) we would really like to see StarFluxx and some of the other iterations! Shut up and take our money.

Us and our wife love this game! It makes the distance of traveling seem just a bit smaller while one of us is away on business. We are loving the game and have been playing for years. We can't wait for more variations to become available. Zombie, pirate, wizard of oz, or whatever!! If you are looking for a fun game and don't want to carry cards, this is a fantastic choice.
We love the card game and when we found the app, we were so excited we could be play by ourselves. We have only 2 things we would like to be changed. First we would like the creepers to be put in the game. We think it would make the game a little more exciting. Second we would like a way to block players in the multi player game, there are a few players that keep joining our games (we make the games for one day) and then just let the time run out.
Please. Please. Please. Create in-app purchases for the other versions.
We love this game! It's one of the only apps we've actually paid for. We play it on a daily basis. However, we would love to see some other versions become available as in-app purchases. Perhaps maybe even some expansion cards too :).
We play this game with our family and now they have this app!! Really really hoping some of the future updates include themes like zombie fluxx, pirate fluxx, and several others . It'll help keep this app interesting.
