What Makes Frozen City Stand Out
A city-building simulation game set in an ice and snow apocalypse. As the chief of the last town on Earth, you have to gather resources and rebuild society.
Collect resources, assign workers, explore the wilderness, conquer tough surroundings, and use various methods in order to survive.
Game features:
- Survival simulation
Survivors are the basic characters in the game. They are the important work force who keep the urban area running. Assign your survivors to collect materials and work in various facilities. Mind the survivors' physical and mental health. If the food ration is in shortage or the temperature drops below freezing, the survivors may get sick; And there may be protests if the work mode or the living environment is dissatisfying. - Explore in the wild
The town sits in the wide wild frozen place. There will be exploratory teams as the survivor teams grow. Send the exploratory teams out for adventure and more useful supplies. Reveal the story behind this ice and snow apocalypse!
Game introduction:
- Build towns: collect resources, explore in the wild, maintain people’s basic needs, and balance between production and supply
- Production chain: process raw materials into living items, set reasonable production ratio, and improve the town's operation
- Allocate labor: Assign survivors to different positions such as workers, hunters, chefs, etc. Keep an eye on survivors' health and happiness values. Learn information about the town's operation. Experience challenging hard-core gaming.
- Expand the town: Grow the survivor group, build more settlements to appeal to more survivors.
- Collect heroes: Army or Gang, what matters is not where they stand or who they are, but whom they follow. Recruit them to help the town grow.

Community Insight:
The traffics are nice, the game is fun, we engoy it.
Ive had this game for a few years now and is one of the few mobile games that Ive really kept up with. The mini-games are diverse enough to be entertaining. That said, some of the ad lengths are getting ridiculous. Being forced to sit through two and a half minutes of unskippable ads is immensely frustrating, especially since thirty second ads used to be the norm. Please fix this.
It started out pretty nice but now Ive been in a really slow period of progress with nothing to do but wait (or pay $$) we know they want us to pay up, but its way too soon in the game to force you to pay. Deleted it.
Best game we have good work developers you made a hitter game.
This game is the best game we have ever played in a while And the only time we have to watch ads is when we are getting a hero card or diamonds You guys should play this game but it is a bit confusing when everyone sleeping case we just have to wait for 5 min thats a bit annoying but this games great.
This game was fun in the early stages. Its kind of mindless, as other reviews point out – you basically just collect stuff to upgrade other stuff until you can move on to another city. And thats where the problem lies. After a few cities, there is one hero per each city that NEVER appears randomly. You have to buy them for $3.99, because what they produce is the critical component to upgrade everything else. We bought several heroes this way, hoping that we would eventually get lucky, but it NEVER happened. Look, we get it. Developers have bills to pay too. But to hamstring an otherwise good and fun game this way is OBNOXIOUS. At least make it possible to move on without spending weeks collecting the tiny drip of the un-heroed resource, even if we cant be on the leader board- we dont care about that anyway. We will not be playing any more games from this developer. Which is too bad, because this was an otherwise fun and engaging game.
To continue to play you have to spend money to get items. Like to level up the characters you need 240,000 for one upgrade of that item and 10.00 bucks may get you 15 million and you cant even level up your worker cause you need 10 level ups to get another worker but the 10.00 only gets you to 9 now you got to spend more money to get there. Its a drain game. Just drain your money into it. Its fun. Its just cost to much to play.
We liked the game at the beginning but they put you in a spot where your forced to spend money and buy material to grow your city.
Game is pretty fun and relaxing, all the mini games they add keeps it fresh. Unfortunately you get to a point in the main game where they withhold a hero/survivor from you that you need to progress at a reasonable rate and what a coincidence hes on sale. The ads arent intrusive and everything else is great except that 1 flaw.
Free to play but you will need a large line of credit to enjoy.
If you make it like the first 4 screen shots it would be better and good.
Not sure why, but at the third city, the income is stumped and upgrading the fire just makes it easier for the survivors to die. We cant get any meat at all. They put another city and three competitions out of no where. Which is too wasteful of our time. How do people handle all of these events at once.
A lot like Whiteout Survival from story line to graphics but they seem to always want to have a bunch of mini-game-side-quest going as well. This does give you much more to do in game. For the casual game it can also add more stress. This one does seem to run smoother than the other, as in we have had free issues with game performance or glitches :) so that is a plus. And it has not tried to force us onto a world map for player vs player or pushy guild recommendations. The interactive advertising howeverthose games are no where to be seen.
Come on guys now really we know we made a statement that we were not able to watch ads but before the ads were about five seconds even 15 seconds but 30 second ads guys 45 second ad guys really for the little amount of resources we have to wait 30 whole seconds its almost worth not even watching the ad now Its taking too long, especially in the tournaments and we cant level up quickly if Im watching an ad.
This is a fun game but there are so many bugs. The app crashes frequently and drains our battery. Youll also earn rewards in the mining sub-game but not able to collect them because of insufficient points despite you having more than enough points. We have also had to spend so much money to just to keep ourselves from falling behind. Ive spent so much money that Im tempted to uninstall the game. Lastly, the developers seem to be so focused on the sub games and they havent had an update to the main game. Ive been waiting for what feels like months to be able to move onto a new city. We just feel stuck and wonder if the game is worth the money Ive put into it. Im leaning towards no.
The game is fun and not too competitive. Our main complaint is that after a few cities, most buildings are locked to 1 or 2 workers because you have to upgrade your heros to unlock more slots, which requires increasingly more cards. It would be better to not lock slots behind hero level and keep their perks as multipliers. We also would buy one-off upgrades such as no ads, but Ill never subscribe for something like that.
This game is not at all accurate from the pictures of the game or of the ads given of the game.
Im confused. We dont understand why the game keeps getting changed but like the worst changes???? Elden Tree Village was our favorite until they switched how you open the different colors now its just annoying and our husband and we both REFUSE to play the stupid one that you need blueprints to make houses. Its pointless. Honestly stick to your main city. Dont bother with the events they change how they work too frequently to be fun.
Just like the ads and whats even better is theres no ads.
This game relies too much on the heroes , without you cant move forward or upgrade your city especially once you get to the third one. We will stop playing the game for now. Cool idea but definitely not worth the time.
We cant find the restore purchases button any and we need, if you can tell us we go about this thatd be fantastic.
Enjoy every aspect of the gameplay.. Except the heroes. Ill explain, the heroes are essentially boosters for each task (mining, cooking, hunting, etc.). Great idea, however wether you unlock them or not is entirely random, and you cant target the hero you need. Meaning, you end up unlocking all the heroes you already have while your villagers die of starvation. Honestly the first game Ive ever actually put real money into. All for not though as our entire city seems to be at the mercy of a hunting hero that will never unlock. Guess Ill just watch everyone starve from lack of decent programming.
This game is good we love it but why is it so impossible to get the heroes we need?? We hope y'all dont think Im gonna put money into this game bc its not happening. Ill delete it before we use the pay to win feature. We would hate to delete the game but Im starting to get to a point where no resources are consistently being produced at a rate that allows us to upgrade the different work shops. The hero system needs work and Ive seen plenty of reviews with this same complaint so hopefully the developers are listening. If not this game is going to start losing players very quickly.
Good game but need millions of resources to complete tasks and upgrade buildings, near impossible to get heros and without heros it takes days to get that many resources.
We sincerely enjoyed playing this game. Thanks for letting us play it for free.
The game keeps kicking us out at the loading screen, wondering if thats yall side. Tried reinstalling and rebooting our phone buh its still the same. Pls fix.
We dont normal care to write about or review our opinion on anything. This game though has came a long way and has had our attention since it launched. Ive had many friends and family try and remove this game from their collection. Not us. We absolutely love where this game is going. Big congrats.
We play it every day, its really well-designed and addicting.
They gave us a lot of fun. It has a nice storyline and beautiful art and backgrounds. We think something that could be added is for th unassigned refugees can work what would be extended work time. It'd be a nice addition. It'd be cool if you could make refugee clans where you and other people use their own resources to expand the base. Just a couple of recommendations. Again, this is a wonderful game. We totally recommend.
When we say this game brought us through our troubled days, it excitement to playing and building freedom for the others that stranded in the cold. Great job creators!! It like a survival mode game, which we so much love!!!! Thank you.
Love this game. Easy to get really into because the story is done well, and the game itself is very cute. Very entertaining. 10/10.
This game is cute, it has a lot of charm and humor. You can enjoy the adorable and funny characters, animations and dialogues. You can also customize your character, outfit, pet and home. You can also explore a colorful and whimsical world.
We hated that whiteout game. This game was perfect for what we wanted. We dont have to interact with other players- battle or join a clan. We love this concept of survival and strategize. The only thing is, now we are a stuck. We are unable to find new heroes or the reward for completing tasks are not as large as it use to be. It was exciting and fun in the beginning now it has dwindle between good rewards. The no ads are a subscription, which we despise. We would happily pay one set price for no ads. The cost of everything on here is expensive. We would pay for reasonable priced items.
And then one day you log in and the game has rolled back to about 6 months ago. Thats a MASSIVE amount of progress lost. Characters Id managed to get by luck and by effort, map progress, everything just gone. We kinda wish youd just lost our entire account, it would make it easier to just drop the game entirely.
This is an amazing game. No forceful ads. We love checking in on our city from time to time throughout the day. The only reason we're giving this 3 stars is that heroes are incredibly difficult to come across. If one of your heroes is locked, you're pretty much doomed with whatever that building is producing. Even buying boxes doesn't guarantee you a particular hero. Please change this and you get a 5 star rating.
We were enjoying this game until we got stuck. It was still early and we didnt get a hero we needed to upgrade a resource. We could not assign more workers and we could not produce enough to move forward on other missions because of it. We spent weeks opening chests, buying chests and not getting the needed hero. There was no Option to just get the hero we needed and we had to just cut our losses.
Not nearly intuitive enough, dont like the interface, and you basically have to spend money to gain heroes so you can have a hope of keeping the workers from striking and leaving, or dying outright (but spend more money and theyll stay!). No thanks. Not that interesting a game to start with. Bye Felicia.
As far as idle games go, this is far from the best. We play several and this one is heavily dependent on spending money. Even if you play the game non stop and never let the 2 hours lapse, you cannot finish an event with the top tier or even close to it. Beyond that, you wont come close to the top 100 placements for rewards because of the people who are willing to spend money on it. Good potential game ruined by greed. Would not recommend..
Im not understanding why we cant swap out sleepy workers for unassigned workers we have 10 ppl here with nothing to do and the ones working are getting tired.. We cant add more ppl to the assignment because it says we need more heros although we have 10 heros and only 4 buildings with jobs Im not understanding and its frustrating. Keeps sayin we have to get the heros out the shop. Which Ive opened several chests and even bought one. How do you get the heros needed??? Why cant we swap out workers.
Like the game a lot, just wish we could upgrade characters easier.
If frostpunk and northgard had a dumbed down, gated, micro transaction baby this it. Only played a few hours which were fun. At town 3 its clear this is a timer/gate game. No thanks from us but may be many folks cup of tea.
The game is good and we love the story line but the upgrading is so bad we what 20 minutes of the game just to get+4000 material production if that was not there we would have 5 stars.
The new City of Lights gameplay is not loading for us and we have updated the app.
Its a good simulation game. Lots of activities going on BUT the development is highly dependent on the Heroes, and youre bound to spend lots of real money trying to get these heroes. Ive made a few in-game purchases and Im still in city 3. Now we wonder what itd look like when we make it to city 4,5,6 Its ridiculous. To the developers, you can always make a game like this accommodate everyone. The implication of not spending money is too much to bear. Id advice you loosen things up more or else people will abandon this game half way and never come back. Just like Im going to do in a few days. Peace.
We have one complaint that may well stop us from playing the game. Im at level 10 and do use limited funds to purchase extra supplies (5-10 a week). The wishing stars required to get heros past level 45 is excessive. Right now we have stopped playing the game for almost a week just to level up the heros. Each level past 45 requires 4,5,6,7 million stars. The issue is you have to have heros at level 50+ to get more than one worker on a supply. We get 600,000 stars every two hours. It since this happens in our down time we may get that twice a day. Id purchase the upgraded package except its a monthly fee. Its high to start with and every month is not going happen. So until we can get multiple heros to 50 we will be at this level. We suspect the next levels will be the same so we will get bored with not making progress very shortly and delete the game.
This game is amazing and we would love to be able to use the backbone to play it.
It is nearly impossible to complete tasks and move forward without the heroes that accompany the factories. If you miss getting that particular hero in an event then you are out of luck. Same with upgrading the heroes you do have to be able to work more survivors in your warehouses. Again without spending real money you will not be able to advance beyond city 4. Please fix.
Anyone else having issues with the new Elden Tree event? Ours wont even load, it just gets stuck on the loading screen.
