The game wont let us use the action buttons at the bottom of the screen; it seems the menu for the actions in game is dragged down, not letting us access the PRIME, action; we can press delete; but we can barely see the button. We are using an iPhone se Please fix this; will improve stars .

We’ve already bought this game years ago and now we have to pay a subscription to play it? Never seen this before …

Please add support to iOS 11 – this is our whole time favorite iPad game. Or would you at least let us know if the fix wil come, thanks!

The best strategy game we have ever seen. But also the hardest game , really enjoy the process of thinking.

Every time we select red campaign now the game immediately crashes on the iPad 2017. Can you please fix this its been months. Unplayable.

Maybe the best strategy game and one of the best overall games on the App Store! The online components that make up the multiplayer matchmaking/lobby/menu–along with handling both synchronous and asynchronous gameplay in a unique manner to iOS– make this a fantastic experience. The single-player is challenging and fun with plenty of levels and custom skirmishes, etc… The tactics, depth and strategy are top notch… HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Ber fun, ber intense, ber addicting! If you like top down strategic shooter games, this is the right game for YOU!

People need to stop whining and exaggerating that this is so hard we can’t even kill one red guy.. The game comes with tutorial videos that are helpful to others.. We’re 12 and had a victory the first match, we saw the tutorials and understood the point of the game, make wise decisions and plans. Recommend this to strategic gamers or people that like these types of games, oh and BTW it does involve shooting if you didn’t know.

Frozen synapse is an amazing and well thought out game, and the complex strategy never gets old. The only thing stopping us from giving this game 5 stars is the apparent absence an ability to change modes in skirmish and the lack of a level editor. While this normally wouldn’t be a large deal, it does mention those things in the help section, which really isn’t very helpful. That having been said, the rest of the game, from its incredibly well crafted and thought out plot to it’s complex and addictive gameplay is worth the 13 dollars that it costs.

Awesome! Our favorite strategy app hands down! Only problem is that it makes a huge no-no for an ios app: we can’t listen to spotify or anything else while playing! Our ADD cant handle only doing one thing at a time, cmon guys! =D.

A little complicate to play, strategic good game . But the icon on ipad is horrible, plz update to retina icon, ok?

Making a few levels to teach basics of the game isn’t that hard.

This game looks great and very high quality but we have no idea and there’s no tutorial! We can’t do anything because we have no idea what to do. Please fix and we’ll bring the rating up.

We played for 30 minutes trying to understand… No way…

We can get by without a decent tutorial. Just tell us what the buttons do. That’s it. But this crap game cannot even do that.

We liked this game so much we also bought it on Steam for our PC. We really enjoy this game. We wonder why there aren’t more strategies like this one on the App Store or on any other platform.

Seriously, we never write reviews.. This game is amazing! Tactical, turn based strategy. We didn’t find the learning curve difficult after diving in. We would recommend this to ANYONE who loves games that need some thought. Love it.

This is an awesome game. Epic artwork, but there it one thing we would improve about it: the tutorials. We figured out how to play relatively quickly, but we doubt the same can be said for others. Maybe if they were more interactive, they would be easier to understand. Keep up the great work and keep the updates coming!

Frozen Synapse is strategy at its best, and having it on iPad with a touch interface and Push Notifications makes it perfect. We highly recommend this game!

Overall this is a great strategy game that we can easily spend countless hours on in one sitting. We personally enjoy the hotseat feature where we can play with our friends or even by myself to test out different strategies. Our only concern is that you should allow the hotseat mode’s advanced setup to use seeds to generate previous maps that we tweaked in the skirmish generator or allow the skirmish generator mode to allow hotseat playability. (Also you guys should take off the 5v5 limit on the skirmish generator because we loaded a hotseat match before with about 12 men on each side and it played smoothly with no lag. We don’t know if this is the same case for other devices (I have the Ipad 3) but it would be a nice feature to add)

We love this game so much! It is really good for people that like shooters and turn based games. We got it on Steam and we are still on the fourth mission! It is very hard but great tutorial to get you on track! Love it!

Amazing game. Love the gameplay, graphics and music.

We recently bought this on our ipad. Does this mean we don’t have to download it again on Steam?

GC makes games a lot more replayable, thank you for updating it with them!

Huge difficulty spike in Ninstar level 2: search online and you’ll find this stops most players like a brick wall. Combine with a sink-or-swim lack of guidance on how you’re supposed to play, and we can recommend this game only for the most diehard fans of the PC version. (The tutorial videos are poor: a simple labeled diagram you can read at your own pace would be better.) And the UI designers can’t have actually played the game much on iPad. Too many really obvious annoyances. Such as vital controls being transparent and overlaid ON TOP of the map you are also trying to interact with. And the endless dialog you have to tap-tap-tap through (no Skip) EVERY time you retry a mission. If they could move the bottom controls to an opaque bar outside the map, shrink the needlessly huge buttons down to finger size to reduce clutter, add a Skip for the dialog sequences, and get rid of the giant words that hide the whole map for several seconds every single turn, then this game would be much closer to realizing its potential. It truly can be fun! A couple of bad UI bugs: the vital "Engage" button is invisible, and sometimes Aim commands are invisible after you place them–I’ve had our rocket guys kill their own team several times simply because of an invisible Aim command… Once which did not happen when we hit Play, only when we hit Prime! No workarounds for bugs like that: you’re just dead. It’s also a huge battery hog, making our iPad hot in a way that far-more-detailed 3D games do not. Without these bugs I’d give it 3 stars. With a new UI, I’d give it 4. With a more reasonable difficulty curve and tutorials, it could be a full 5!

This game is great, one of the best; if not the best , strategy game on the Ipad.

The is the game strategy game we have played in the App Store. It is complex and really makes you think. A must buy for any strategy fan.

This game is unexplainably fun and offers plenty of different ways to master your strategies. We have played this almost non-stop since we noticed it was on the App Store. Please add Game Center support and please, PLEASE, add the Red DLC, to this! It looks awesome and we wanna try it.

We are very Impressed about the game it has future look destroying enemy’s that’s what makes a game a winner!!!!!

Was excited to see this on the App Store. We love this game, it is challenging at times, but we like it. Can’t wait for the expansion red. :) Edit: Hey, just wanted to say, if you own the red dlc on PC or Mac and use that account on the iPad version, it gives you the red dlc on here. We now have co-op and the new campaign. :D Hope that this information will make you all happy.

This is a great game. Hard to learn. Not for the weak of mind…

Reminds us of old school Rainbow 6 where you detailed each units movement, to the letter. It is rather amazing. We have had lots of fun with this game. Most games of this caliber require turn-based strategy. But here, both teams play out their movements at the same time which requires an extra bit of strategy that is amazing. Your smallest mistake could mean the entire battlefield is compromised, there are a lot of stakes riding on. Your choices… Which means a Lot of thought has to go into your choices.. It’s pretty awesome!

Best of Genre. It’s the high watermark for the tactical turn-based combat genre. If this is your style of gameplay, this is your game.

Works great on iPad. We highly recommend it if you like strategy games. Skip the dialog though, it’s really not that important. (But it’s there if you want it.)

This game is really fun but at the same time it’s extremely hard at first and its a little confusing but we have been having a great time playing it so far. We think we will be buying the expansion when it comes out.

We’ve had our ipad for some time now and have always enjoyed gaming on it. This is the first title though that’s come along on the device, grab our attention and not let go! It is incredibly competitive and the complexity of the tactics require you to think out every command and will mean the difference between an incredibly satisfying victory or horrendous defeat. We’ve read numerous reviews about how the learning curve is too steep for new players. This is not true at all. We’re new but am near the top of the leader boards. You just have to like tactical games! … We have noticed a few drastically negative reviews, one in particular calling the gameplay obtuse, and found a need to respond. Anyone who could describe this game in such a manner obviously couldn’t be bothered with learning its depth. Everyone has a right to there own opinion of course but we would venture to call such a comment blatantly arrogant when so many others applaud the game’s tactical complexity. UPDATE: Love the hi-res graphics! Unfortunately not everything has made the transition. Hopefully that is coming!

Has a great soundtrack and a long learning curve. Though, once you receive the hang of the game each mission becomes as fun as the last one. Great job, looking foward for an update.

We have just begun to realize how exceptional this game is, even when compared to any other game available on any other platform. We don’t even know how to fully exploit such a well-designed game engine that allows for countless hours of unexpected defeats at the hands of battle-hardened strategy game veterans– and victories! The most enjoyable part of the game (for us at least) is watching replays of matches between highly skilled players and seeing how they will improvise to secure their next victory. In this game, you start each level with several players on your side, and the goal varies with the game type. What’s important regardless of the mission objective is the way in which one plays the game, which we will elaborate upon now…. First, the weapons, because everybody likes weapons in a video game! The players you have either have a pistol– a powerful gun at that, a shotgun, grenades, rocket launchers, or possibly a sniper rifle, though we have yet to play as a sniper. We’ve played against a computer-controlled sniper, though. The game is enjoyable because there is an element of chance to it. During the planning phase of the game, you maneuver your players through the virtual battlefield by planning what each player will do. If your player is to move, you must plot a path it will take and decide what actions it will or will not perform. The paths of the players are displayed as lines and dots when the player either stops or maneuvers around an obstacle. We could say more, but we just to pique your curiosity. If you enjoy tactical strategy games, then please support the developers of this game and try it out. This game gets 5 well-deserved stars. Happy Shooting!

Its a lot like xcom which is good.

The gameplay is not intuitive. It doesnt seem like it was design for a touchscreen. The writing seems like it was put together by 12 year olds. Not 13 year olds, but 12 year olds. Having said that, the game itself is pretty good an interesting. We just wish we wasnt financing the candy shop habits of some 12 year olds who know how to code.

This game could possibly be the BEST strategy game on the App Store buy it now!! But there is a glitch that causes the play button to be permanently on so you cannot really even play it. PLEASE FIX!!!!!

We normally like this type of game. This one we won’t bother launch again. Shame there is no trial version.

While we found that this game had a great unified aesthetic and lore, the basic gameplay is frustrating. The squad-based tactics force you to micromanage your units, which grows tiresome quickly. Without painstaking attention to the details of the orders issued during the planning stage of your turn, the AI enemies rip you to shreds. There is a great concept here, but the gameplay becomes demanding rather than challenging.

Very unrealistic, most of all whenever we have our men’s sight right on the enemy and are told to engage the enemy can walk right past them and kill whoever we’re trying to protect. Frustrating.

Very in depth and requires so much attention. Very hard to use and understand.

Really just a crappy system that seems genuinely complex and intricate, however this game is garbage and not thought out well. Five seconds of fake fun before you realize the shallow depth of real strategy involved does not accommodate for the amount of commands you can give.

We bought this 2 months ago and we cant finish a full match without crashing our ipad mini. We want our money back!

We could never quite get there with this game. We can see how it could be enjoyable and the game is well made. However, the tutorials are bad and not helpful to the novice strategy player such as myself. We wanted to enjoy this, but simply cannot.

We wanted a good strategy game for an older kid. We might recommend this if we can disable the unnecessary blood effect. It’s a deal-breaker for us. We would ask for refund if we could.
