What Makes Full Throttle Remastered Stand Out
Originally released by LucasArts in 1995, Full Throttle is a classic graphic adventure game from industry legend Tim Schafer, telling the story of Ben Throttle; butt-kicking leader of biker gang the Polecats, who gets caught up in a tale of Motorcycles, Mayhem and Murder.

This is one of the best games ever, it can be difficult to figure out the puzzles but it is still amazing. Definitely one of the greatest games, buy it, itll be worth it.
There may have been glitches in the past, we cant speak to reviews made many years ago but for the recent ones that are saying that there are bugs are just wrong. The road with the secret tunnel is clearly marked if you have the goggles on. The derby part took us a second to get used to but once we figured it out it was no problem. We beat it twice since getting it about a week ago (we grew up with it so Ive played it a lot) once with creator commentary and one without but playthroughs were perfect both times.
Ive completed the original game at least 5 times when it came out back in the 90s and this version is AMAZING, we enjoyed it so much! The graphics were enhanced, its the wider format now and better resolution. The sound was enhanced and its stereo. You can switch back to original version with two finger swipe at any scene and see the difference, so cool! Ive got a few freezes during the ours road scene, we waited or switched out to Home Screen and back and it worked. We dont get all the negative reviews, theres been a lot of art work done on this version. Thank you so much for bringing back the memories.
We bet this game a long time ago on Windows 95, now its remastered on iphone! We want to say the controls are just like the orangle an good job for touch screen. If youve never played this game then you will be lost with the controls, just remember its a classic computer mouse game.

Im definitely hoping you do this with Monkey Island and Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis! Sweet memories! Im so happy we purchased this game Im definitely waiting for more! It crashes a little on the ours part but our original pc game in the 90s was exactly the same!lol so no problem, we waited for a minute and continue playing so no big deal! Ill definitely purchase all the games, we already played all these but all Lucas arts games are so good.

We had a blast playing Full Throttle as a kid and now again as an adult! Same great game we remember, but now remastered with even better graphics! We also like the ability to listen to the commentary and soundtrack. Five stars all day! And if you like this one, do yourself a favor and get Day of the Tentacle. Oh and creators, can you pleeeeeease do some of the other Lucas Arts games (Sam and Max Hit the Road, Dark Forces, the Dig, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Monkey Island, etc.)? Thank you.
Im at the part in the game where we have to go through ours Rd. To fight the different bikers (where we find Father Torque). While driving on the actual road, the game lags a bit, which messes up our being able to stay toward the middle of the road to avoid crashing if we go toward the side. Otherwise, we love this game! We first played it as a kid on our familys Windows computer and have enjoyed it ever since.
We're writing this review from someone who grew up in this era but never played FT before. And was extremely apprehensive to purchase due to the negative Old ours Rd bug. Didn't want to buy and get stuck but figured during the app sale to take a flyer. Glad we did… We're using a mini iPad 4. Since we never played before we finally got to the ours Rd spot. We spent many do overs and probably played that area for an hour and not once did we experience any problems. Nor did we have any issues controlling the bike at all. We never crashed it during that hr. We just didn't know how to beat the different bikers with what type of weapon. The controls at the destruction derby are whacked… That is until you figure it out. It took a long time but instead of trying to control the left and right side of the screen, just touch your car, keep your finger on the screen and drag your car as if you're tracing a path! Spoiler alert- then you can jump on the orange car easily and push it onto and off the second ramp. You don't even need to be precise for the cutscenes to happen. We've been using a walk through up to that point to see if we could do it but alas sorta had to cheat. Been a good experience so far. We're about 85% done. We think Grim Fandgo is the best, followed by Day of Tentacle then Full Throttle. But that's our opinion. Don't let the bug comments stop you at least for a mini iPad 4.
Id played this game previously with our dad and we really enjoyed it then and we certainly enjoyed it just as much now.
Fun game, nice to replay this. Used to freeze on the road, but they fixed that. However, it still freezes and stops responding every 5 interactions or so.
Im not sure what it takes to get a developers attention, but, the ours Road crash really needs to be fixed. Id give this 5 stars and a full review once thats done. UPDATE: we think they did it! But only partially. Now the ours road seizes but continues if you can wait for your device to catch up. Ill give them 4 for the fix. The 5th star requires them to really solve it.
Love this game, played it back in the day, but there are a few places where the iPad touchscreen controls make it almost unbearable. We recommend the game, but not the platform.
Sadly, it seems there is a glitch in the game on the newer iPads. Better than halfway through the game when you need to use the ducks to disarm a minefield iPad controls only let you halfway to the point needed to continue. Loved the game up to this point, can not longer play. We would recommend not purchasing if you have newer apple product. So sad, it was a blast up to the glitch problem :(.
We just bought this, grim fandango and day of the tentacle and we cant get any sound from these games.
This game was fun back in 1995. The controls on the iOS version are next to impossible to get the characters to move in the right direction.
When we exit old ours rd and cruise for a little or fight bikers the game locks up on our or glitches. Grew up with this game when we were a child so we were really excited to play it. Please fix ASAP.
The game itself is great, dont get us wrong, but the reason we give it 3 stars is because the controls are terrible. We spent a good 10 minutes trying to exit the kickstand bar at the beginning of the game, old ours road (more specifically, the highway) just simply will go black sometimes or not have a character sprite. The cutscenes are very easy to accidentally skip, you might have to restart the game to be able to exit an area and sometimes that doesnt even work, currently, we are incapable of moving forward from the minefield because the exit button does not work. Its still the game it was in 1995 and with the remastered version, the art is well updated, but we dont recommend playing it on iOS, get it on your PC or Ps4, its not worth the frustration here. To sum up, dont buy it on your phone/tablet until the developers have fixed it. Its a shame we have to leave 3 stars on a good game.
There are some tough technical problems like not being able to touch certain buttons like the settings button or some voice prompt responses that are at the top of the screen. Im at the souvenir shop and the game has come to a grinding halt because we cant make Ben walk back to the left off the screen again.
Sound is, like, the best part of this game. Sound doesnt work on iPhone 16 pro and 18.1.
Freezes on the road fight scenes, and you lose the items youve gained. Such fun in the 90s; now just sad. Wasted $4.99. Wish we could get our money back.
Looking through the reviews, looks like the ours rd glitch has been an issue for years. When you are fighting the different bikers, the game glitches to the point where you cant play. Please fix!!! We love this game.
We love this game and bought it as we remember playing it when we were younger. Great game, but so many performance issues. We are on an iPhone 13 Pro (newest iPhone at time of this review) and it freezes, studders, and doesnt even load at times. Makes us lose certain sequences and takes forever to try to get to playing again.
Full Throttle is a great game, and for new gamers, a wonderful glimpse into the world of the point and click adventures of days gone by. However, the game needs to be updated to work with the current iOS software. It glitches to the point of impossible play in key places of the game.
The game could be a good game but there is just too many glitches and bad controls. We spent way to much time trying to accomplish simple things that were all due to the bad controls of the game. Finally we fed up and deleted the game.
Game was great up until the ours rd scene. Then it just glitched out to the point where we were over it so we deleted.
Love the game, hate the fact it freezes on the ours road and god forbid you need to leave an area when the red arrow is near the iphone 10 or 11 home slider. You quit the game regretting purchasing it.
Unfortunately controls are horrible. It is very very difficult to enter and exit certain scenes. The game gets stuck in multiple places. It should be fixed.
The title pretty much says it all. We have fond memories of this game except for the combat, which is kind of a slog. In this version, its a moot point because the game consistently crashes on the Old ours Road for us. That in itself might not be a problem if you could either skip the sequence or save during it, but you cant do either, so after five increasingly frustrating attempts, Im uninstalling. Its a shame because the remaster is otherwise excellent, and Id like to see the story through.
Looks better but the control for the DD are horrible, the pausing is annoying. Just not as good as the original.
We played Full Throttle growing up, and the remastered version make us fall in love all over again. We would give this app more stars, but we are stuck listening to the bunny salesman due to an error with the programming. The exit button (at the bottom of the screen) is un-pressable on our iPhone 7 Plus. Please fix this so we can release the bunnies and get on with the game.
The controls dont work well on the phone. We have been struggling for hours to move the character down or to click on some lines of dialogue.
Like the remastered version and all the contents but as everyone says here it crashes too often especially in the highway scenes (in/between route 9 and old ours rd) please fix this.
We enjoyed this game on the early macintoshes. The story is fun. The puzzles are impossible. The graphics and sound have been so beautifully restored. However the controls are so horrible. It seems like a different team was doing that part that absolutely didnt care. We were able to get through the game by clicking and clicking to try to get it to do stuff. 50% of the time the clicks didnt do what we expected or anything at all. Then the bugs on the old ours road. The game would hang for minutes at a time.
Srsly, save your money. Buy the PC/Mac version instead. The iOS version has a few game breaking bugs. And even if its .99 its still not worth it.
Sound only works if your ringer is on. We wanted to start off with that comment in case anyone else had the trouble with the sound like we did, and was looking for a post with information. We usually have our phone on vibrate, so that tripped us up pretty badly. But since everything else was done so well, we didnt think it deserved knocking off a star due to a questionable design decision. Anyways, to be clear, we are using an iPhone 7S with 256 gigs of memory. Also, current software is iOS 11.2.1. We did not have any technical issues playing the game. We played and completed this game 12/24/2017 to 12/25/2017. Please keep in mind, they ported this game, updated the graphics and sound, modified controls to allow for touch play, and added a bunch of bonus materials. They did not go in fix any and all potential bugs the game had originally, and we would not have expected them to. The game never crashed on us. We had some difficulty when it came to the miners road area, but we believe that also happened originally on the pc as well, so not their fault. We found if we worked on other parts in that area, options came back up as being available to pursue. There is some parts where it is hard to see where to go, and that is because the arrow is almost at the edge of the bottom of the screen. Once again, not their fault, easy to find the bottom edge with a mouse, not so much with a finger, and this may just be a difficulty with us using a phone instead of an iPad. So if you are confused where to go, just hold your finger on the screen and search the perimeter while dragging your finger and any other parts of the screen. It will change the icon to available options. You may have to press like 5-10 times to get these tough spots, but we did rapid pressing, so in essence it only took 3 seconds worth of time to finally nail the icon right. There is also the part when you are crossing the field where you need to keep going forward each time. It may not be clear but you need to click higher up on the screen until you walk forward to be able to proceed with the puzzle. Sorry for the vagueness, but when you get to this part, youll understand what Im referring to. Overall, the original game was awesome and they did fantastic work to bring this beauty to being available now a days and updating the graphics so it looks like a new game. Since its a puzzle game, nothing is lost with age, and updating the graphics and sounds also ensures that it feels like it was made this year instead of 22 years ago. For the price of $1.00, this definitely worth its price and we would say completely underpriced. We hope this feedback helps and you have as much fun with this game as we had.

Love this game. Its well adapted to iOS and everything is smooth. Our only ask is an update to support the iPhone X screen.
This was one of our favorite video games back in the 90s. Everything from the story to the soundtrack makes this game stand out as one of the bests. We really wish Lucas Arts would do games like this again, let alone a sequel that unfortunately got canceled… But we are super excited to be playing it again and they did an excellent job upgrading the graphics and the music soundtrack! Worth every penny.
We love this game it bring back so many memories!!! The controls seemed a bit hard for fighting/driving in the derby but we got passes that part. Really enjoyed the game! Thank you for remaking such a fun game.
Good game! It was a bit short at about 10 hours, but we still think it was well worth the cost. Cheaper than a good movie and more interactive :). Double Fine did a great job with updating the graphics and making it work on the iPad. The game crashed on us twice, but it wasn't a big deal in the 10 hours we played it.
Thank you for bringing back our favorite adventure game of all time! The revamped art and sound is great, and adds even more to the unique atmosphere. Works fine on our iPhone 7; no crashes.
We had few problems with this game on our iPad Pro. It froze up a couple of times but it wasn't anything significant that turned us off about the quality of the game. Having played the original in 1995, this game looked better, sounded better, and was just as much fun now then when we played it on our 486DX.
As a die hard fan of this game since it hit stores in the 90's, we can say that this remastered version is a home run. You can tell a lot of time and work went into revamping every graphic, while the artists stayed true to the unique aesthetic this game has always had. Worth the buy.
This game is so much fun and hardens back to the golden age of point-and-click games like Monkey Island. Some people talk of the game crashing, but it works perfectly for us.

We LOVED this game growing up. Playing has been a treat alllll the way to the point youre on your bike fighting bikers in this canyon. It continues to freeze every single time. We havent been able to get passed it. Does the same thing on our phone too. PLEASE FIX THIS.
