The app actually tracks the cubes movents and the solver is accurate.
We love this app, and it taught us how to solve a Rubiks cube, and now we actually have a hobby that we can connect to others with. The academy is simple, and provides step-by-step directions, while letting you try them too in order to get the feel for it. The vs competitions are very simple, but in a good way. And with practice solves that help you learn your average, the only complaint we have is the GoCubes battery life. For some reason, ours is either dead or broken. We still cant connect it, but all in all, a very good app.
We just learned how to solve cubes and GoCube makes it feel very fun.
The cube can be messed up easily with a twisted corner even if you twist it back Gocube should have a troubleshooting button.
This little cube is fun and we like how it can teach you patterns.

This GoCube app that we got for our birthday really helps us a lot for cubing beginners. It teaches us how to solve it, academy lessons, and more.
We cube but often times forget to practice. With this app Im encouraged to cube more often and we love being able to properly time ourselves and race others. One downside is that sometimes the on screen cube orientation is off but the pieces are fine so it doesnt make a difference. We recommend this to beginners or people who want to get better at cubing.
Its almost perfect for anybody who is looking to do cubing. But we dont see why challenges were removed and we would like to see that return. Also, the app only teaches you the beginners method and we would like to see tutorials on how to do CFOP and ROUX. Otherwise, its good.

This app taught us how to solve the Rubiks cube! The other tutorials always ended up make the cube scrambled, we suggest this to everyone who wants to be a cuber.
This cube is amazing it has the best corner cutting we have ever seen and turns amazing this was we think the second best birthday present besides getting our first phone but the app is amazing we just finished the academy thingy although we already know how to solve the Rubiks cube but we are so excited about trying the games over all this is such an amazing app and cube.

We loved collecting 3×3, but we never knew how to solve one. So all of our 3×3 were just scrambled and this is gonna help us solve all of them.

Fun way to learn how to solve a Rubix cube with the games,Academy and the competitions its a great app for kids even though the cube costs about sixty bucks.

This app is amazing and it is so fun.
In the racing mode it gives you limited time to scramble your cube.
Good app overall but we're not great at reading notations so we only go on hard mode because of the limited time for scrambles. There seems to be no competition because everyone is AI considering the profile pics and behavior during competitions. We just want to play against real people.
The academy part of the app is great. We do find ourselves re-orienting the cube a couple times. Every time we try to use the cube solver it kicks us out. The cube unpairs itself. That part is a little annoying.
Im a novice at the cube, and went through the tutorials and course a couple of times. The app works fairly well. We constantly have to reorientate and calibrate our cube to have it display properly on our iPad screen. Other than that, the teaching method is a rote memorization of steps and algorithms. After enough practice, most people should be able to accomplish solving the cube. Having said that, the teaching methodology leaves us wanting in the sense that the student is not taught how or why the algorithms work, and how to visualize why they work. We would personally enjoy a course of how the algorithms came to be, and the first principles thinking process that created the algorithms. Mr. Rubik himself was able to visualize in his head what needed to be done and the steps involved. He made this puzzle to teach his students this skill. Perhaps after all these years, what the cube has proven is that few people possess the ability Rubik himself did, however most people can be instructed on a methodology if instructed. The problem is that very few people can solve the cube from scratch, without instruction. Perhaps in this way, we were hoping the app would guide us how to teach ourselves to solve the cube through first principles thinking. It doesnt do that, rather it opts for rote memorization and pattern recognition approach. All in all, a solid 4 stars.
Pretty good app. We recently got this app since we got the GoCube as a Christmas present. The app was pretty good at first, but it was sometimes slow, which was annoying. There is a challenge button in a the app. This button lets you try to match up one of your cube sides with a randomly scrambled online cube that shows the pattern that you are supposed to make. You do this against a random player. Now here is the annoying/slow part: every time we click on the challenge button, it shows a white blank screen. It loads forever, and rarely ever works. This is very annoying and stressful. PLZ FIX!!!! Overall, its OK, but SERIOUSLY needs more things to do since we get bored sometimes and needs to be faster. 4/5 stars.
We love this app it is very clear and good but we feel like it is a little bit too specific, like it all has to be the same way we guess. But other than that we would 10/10 recommend to a friend.
We wish we can give it 5 stars but sometimes the app lags.
So when we got it we had fun but we think there is a error or something because when it was actually solved in real life but the app thought it was scrambled. So please fix that. But it is still a very fun app.
We were a little harsh on his app because we wanted to utilize the CFOP learning but couldn't on a mobile platform. We still think that ridiculous. But this cube did teach us more effective cubing and the app interface is fun and motivational for a person like us who loves reward systems. We went from being able to solve a cube in 30 minutes to 1 minute in a week. It's a good toy and a good app because it works. Our kids love it. The little games helped us read notation faster and generally become more intuitive. We do still practice on a proper speed cube but when we're moving around our daily life, this ends up being the cube we carry. We like having the statistics and beating ourselves and it's a fun parlor trick to solve the cube quickly and it light up.
The academy merges Rubiks cubes all the way to a human instead of scrambling.
Overall this would be 5 stars but two major issues prevent this from being possible. 1) there is no sound on the videos, which makes the expert advice null and 2) Im always having to reload our cube even after its been sitting with no one touching it. Fix these and youve got yourself a 5-star app.
So when we got our first go cube we were excited so we got the app and we signed in we didnt ask us how good we were we had three options and since we only knew the beginner method we chose Im a beginner or something like that. We dont exactly remember it. So we clicked on it and now we had to start from the beginner method and work our way up. We just wish that we could change that though it still is a pretty good app we would recommend.
The cube it self is good but the app is not the best.For example when we turn the cube the app follows but sometimes its on the wrong side.Good cube not so app.
This is a great app but low battery bug was Spamming the app. But its a 100% like what the heck. Also the cube is solved in app but scrambled in reality.
So this cube is good and all but when we go to use it on the app the cube spins even tho Im not spinning it. We can move it and twist it but it just spins uncontrollably devolper please respond.
At the start of trying to solve the Rubiks cube, it was very hard and confusing, sometimes the color combo gets mixed up, but thats ok, just color the cube on settings! Also if your in the dark and cant see the colors, go to setting and light it up! This will help you solve it even if it takes a while! We rate this app and the cube 10 out of 10, we highly recommend.
Easy way to learn solving the cube. Videos are easy to follow and steps to help you get back to where you made the errors were very helpful. Looking forward to improving our skills.

It was really accurate once you get it the right way and can take some time, but mostly really good and accurate.
When we first started Rubiks cubes, we were terrible but now that we learned all these lessons, we are so glad that we used Gocube and still am.
