Graveyard Keeper is a Simulation/Roleplaying game from TINYBUILD LLC, first launched in 28th June 2019.
It’s rated 12+ and currently has 369+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Graveyard Keeper Stand Out

Graveyard Keeper is the most inaccurate medieval cemetery management sim of all time. Build and manage your own graveyard, and expand into other ventures, while finding shortcuts to cut costs. Use all the resources you can find. After all, this is a game about the spirit of capitalism, and doing whatever it takes to build a thriving business. And it’s also a love story.

  • Face ethical dilemmas. Do you really want to spend money on that proper burger meat for the witch-burning festival, when you have so many resources lying around?
  • Gather valuable materials and craft new items. Expand your Graveyard into a thriving business. Help yourself — gather the valuable resources scattered across the surrounding areas, and explore what this land has to offer.
  • Quests and corpses. These dead bodies don't need all those organs, do they? Why not grind them up and sell them to the local butcher? Or you can go on proper quests, you roleplayer.
  • Explore mysterious dungeons. No medieval game would be complete without those! Take a trip into the unknown, and find discover new alchemy ingredients — which may or may not poison a whole bunch of nearby villagers.

This Simulation game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:

The game is awesome, we hope you will add all DLC from PC version.

Its really fun and interesting. Creepy version of Stardew Valley, but better.

This game is awesome no problem with it at all.

Its a great game but it does crash sometimes we dont have an old phone its from this year so idk whats up with that. We recommend giving it a whirl. And save often to avoid losing too much progress.

When to update the mobile version of DLC? We really need it. Please update, please update.

Very good game detail are good and we dont know why people Hate this game its good.

We have a 5th generation iPad mini, and we hesitated to buy this game because of all the reviewsbut we did it because our friends said this game was a blast on Steam, but we prefer to game on our iPad. Now with over 600 in-game days, we can confirm this game will not crash nor lose your progress. Im careful to always sleep our avatar before closingthe game appears to save when he says we feel so refreshed! On waking up. Controls get a little buggier as you progress, but nothing unbearable. Finally, we were trapped in a looping cutscene waiting for the vampire hunter, but we just closed the app and got the quest again after we reopened it, so no biggie. We hope this helps you decide whether to buy this game.

We wish there was more games like this on Apple.

Just beat it with no controller as it was not working right. Enjoyed it a lot need more.

Im having a lot of fun playing this game. In our original review we were upset that it crashed and thought that was going to be a game breaking issue but it only happened once and not again since. We even bought the Breaking Dead DLC and would absolutely buy the others if they were on here.

Can you guys add more dlc to the game? We dont mind buying the dlcs. Also make a button layout for controller support and maybe adding a DLC you can either have a cat companion or a dog? And add ways on upgrading the house.

We never purchased a games except the good one .. We watched this game as walkthrough in YouTube for long time and decide this game have potential to be the best for mobile game , unfortunately we found out the Developers abandoned the mobile platform for bugs update and adding the DLC similar to other platforms PC .. The game is amazing but if you get in bug you would be start the game from beginning note: we bought the game with DLC so hope Devs back to listen to mobile community issues with bugs.

Im on an apple phone (not the newest) it only crashed after Id played to long and just slept so we lost no progress, great game we cant wait for the dlc to come to mobile.

Love everything but please update to the latest version.

Loved this game. Absolutely gobbled up hours of our time. If you like Stardew Valley you will love this game. Great farming game lots of side missions and building/upgrading. NO pay to play No stupid Freemium. We would buy a game up front all day if They were all like this.

The only bad thing is we wish we have all 3 dlcs.

We havent experienced any crashing (iPhone XS Max). This game is a blast and has a lot of depth. We dont think Im even half way through it after probably near 50 hours of gameplay. Likely because Im bad or we keep getting distracted by other things.

The game itself is wonderful and exciting. The moment we start playing we know we like the game and we fell in love. But everything thats too good cant be true and there it was, the game crush before we knew it our tears start to pour done. It broke our heart and we thought we finally found the game that we really like. We hope you guys back there could fix the problem. Not all heroes wear capes and costume you know that right.

Absolutely love this game. The controls could be better and there are occasional crashes but usually after Ive been playing for several hours on end. But we REALLY want the Stranger Sins dlc to be added because we loved having the Talking Skull and our own tavern.

GK is our favorite mobile game by far, but that is in spite of some pretty awful issues. Im playing on an iPhone SE and the game crashes about once every three times we try to save. It also crashes often if we go to another app or more rarely, during the middle of the game. We lose roughly 20% of the text of conversations, because theres another window blocking the right side of the text window. There are also probably a dozen congregants stuck near the door of our church. It seems that the developers have given up on this platform, as the last update was 10 months ago. The other platforms received the Stranger Sins dlc in late 2019, but from what Ive seen, theres no expected release date for iOS. Its definitely worth your time, just a little disappointing.

We saw DangerouslyFunny (YouTube) playing this game and fell in love with it. If you liked Stardew Vally. -Do your self a favor and treat your self to this game. It has great game play, very good art, engaging story, excellent character designs, and amazing music. Please support this dev team we want more. Ps its on switch too. With dlc, its got zambean workers to help you chore it out! 10/10.

Everyones biggest gripe with the game is the controls, and we agree. But thankfully for us we have an Xbox one controller we use to play games, so they are not an issue for us. If you have played star dew valley, this game will be familiar to you. Its like star dew except you run a graveyard and church. To us its is to role play with in our head. Fun to run a church and do shady things. A console game port you shouldnt pass up on.

The only things is we wish there was more updates, and that we could customize our character. We hate playing as a male. Otherwise we have no complaints. The game is really well made, the controls are smooth as long as your not using an external controller, and the story is the perfect mix between comedic, mysterious, and horrifying.

We finished the game in about 50 hours and it was a fun and relaxing ride! We played on an iPad Pro and had no problems at all. We did try using a controller and it crashed almost immediately so dont use a controller. This game definitely has the SDV vibe and we actually enjoyed it more because of the story progression. This game is all about quests, grinding to complete quests, crafting and then more crafting. Farming, mining, dungeons, and exploring. We really enjoyed it and hope they keep making games like this.

We have played so much of this game without even realizing it lol. We have absolutely no idea what the other reviews are saying, using the iPad Pro. The controls imo are awesome, the only time they felt imprecise was when we were using a speed potion… Its not grindy and full of story if you prioritize where you spend your skill points and your time, a feature that also makes the game purposeful and gives you all those busy feelings and satisfying progress. Graveyard Keeper is MILES above mobile games, and holds its ground in pc games of this niche. The inventory system is amazing, not a lot in this niche grab things from chests like it has from the beginning, and you get to automate everything in the funniest morbid way. We didnt buy this game for so long because of the reviews and we regret it lol! The art is fantastic. If we could have one thing to make gameplay easier, it would be to make the autopsy table tell us which skulls important parts have before we remove them. But that was just about the only thing we noticed that wasnt perfectly polished.

We love this game we cannot tell you how many hours Ive spent playing it. Theres one thing we would like to discuss because in the beginning The supermarket clerk has the same name as the talking skull Gerry.

We love how morbid it is. Actual game, top notch, we love it. There are other games with a similar game play that are excellent and a lot of fun, but the zombie twist to this has left the other games we had very dusty. So much fun, we love it. Couple issues with the mechanics, mostly since its a phone game (we know there are other versions, but for this as an app). 1. Saving. Seriously, we need a save button. Being on a phone, we need a way to leave quickly. Saving while you sleep, though good on a computer, makes the game hard to play in short time periods. We have also had the game crash several times while sleeping, which results in a lot of lost time that we have to make up. A save button wont fix the crash, but it will allow us to save more frequently to avoid so much lost work. 2. Crash. We have only encountered one crash, but we have encountered it frequently. When we sleep, Before the save (maybe put this at the front of the sleep?), it crashes randomly while the character is actively sleeping. It doesnt appear to be triggered by the save itself, since it happens at all stages of the sleep. If the save happens before the crash, the save seems fine, but if it happens before the save the day is lost. 3. This is more of an annoyance than a true issue. Regular doors that are never locked should not require to hit a button to enter. Maybe a pause, but a button? Please no. SUGGESTION FOR MORE AWESOMENESS!!! As an app, you have the ability to have some form of event. Like, during halloween, some pumpkin collecting around the forest for some sort of reward (exp: experience, morbid decorations, foods, etc etc.), or Christmas you could do a tree where you collect and arrange presents and ornaments/decorations in the center of town somewhere. That would be epic.

We havent had any issues with crashing at all. Great game. Tons of content. The only thing is that you have to buy the DLC for $3 to get zombies but its worth it. Cant wait for Stranger Sins update.

Love the game but the crashes are still a big problem. It often crashes before when Im saving. 2.) we seem to have a farmer in our church. He just hanging around the door. We upgraded the church for the first time and now we have two of them. Thank you for your time and hard work.

Im playing on an iPhoneX and we have not encounter the crashes others have reported yes the controls could use a bit of polish they do work. We played this game on pc and this a good port of that game.

We wanted to wait a bit to make sure we didnt speak too soon, we gave it almost a week. We played quite a few hours on it and saved probably 25 times and it hasnt crashed yet. We have an iPhone 8 Plus and we do take extremely good care of it, although we dont necessarily know if that matters. Just throwing it out there in case people want to know why its not crashing for us… As far as the gameplay goes, we are really enjoying it, except for the controls….. They are as close to garbage as you can get in the mobile gaming world…. Why they didnt include some customization options to help with them, Im not sure? In our opinion, the controls in Stardew Valley are the way to go for this style of game…. So, not that the developer is gonna actually change the control scheme, but if Im wrong and he reads reviews; FIX the CONTROLS.

Game is fun it crashed on us once when we were going to sleep but no loss in progress definitely deserves better than the 2.5 its sitting at controls are really not bad dont know what the complaints are about they could be tighter but it works.

We played this on xbox for a while and we loved it so we bought it on IOS. Its been smooth sailing except for a random bug where the game crashes when we try to sleep sometimes. Other than that two thumbs up.

The game is just awesome, plenty of hours of game play specially of your away from home. It just doesnt have all the dlc content that the other versions have that leave you with the sensation you want more but until then.

This is a amazing iOS port of the game we would love to see cloud save so you could use it across devices also there is some lag on the new ipad 10th gen that could be fixed but its not a big deal other then that we love this game.

We started playing the game on the Xbox when it came out on game pass and fell in love. We love the game, the controls need some work but for the most part we would really like it if theres was more of a way to know what we need to be doing or just some kind of way task list instead of having to look at the people/relationships tab. Otherwise the game is amazing and we hope to see more done today it.

The game works fine with just our phone but if we plug our Backbone it crashes… Please update the game to be compatible with backbone.

This is a Great game and fun to play however we wish it were more like stardew valley when it comes to the controls. Tap to walk to a location rather than the pad. Hopefully there will be an update since there hasnt been one in two years.

So we can finally play. We really like this game a lot. The crashes do happen and can be frustrating if youve done a lot before saving. If there was a quick save type button thatd be great. But its still a great game. 4/5 just because of crashing.

Will the stranger sins DLC be coming to devices.

We hope an update is coming soon. ARE WE GETTING STRANGER SINS DLC.

Was so excited to see this game for iPad after having it on Xbox and Steam… Love the game but sad because when we go to sleep in the game, it crashes… So it hasnt even saved our gameplay and we have to start a new game every time. We pay $10 for this game and it doesnt even save…. PLS fix. 5 stars when you fix this issue. The only other complaint is the controls. Would rather much just have touch controls. Virtual joystick just isnt good in this game. The save feature is most important at this time tho.

We just bought game (even after seeing all the reviews warning about sleep glitch) in hopes that the game wouldnt sleep glitch on us,,,,but it did,,,please fix you all, really fun game!!! Buyers beware; itll glitch on u too as of the sending of this review.

We also own this for ps4 and have had no bugs but we wanted it to be a little more portable so we bought it on iOS, but when we open the game it starts to load then crashes. We dont believe in giving a game bad ratings for bugs so hopefully they fix it.

We wasnt sure whether or not to review the game or the port of the game. Since it a cross-platform game with lots of reviews of the game itself online already, Im going to stick to the port of this game for our review. We also have not played with the expansion. Its mostly a nice port. We waited to play it after the first patch or two, so we havent seen the nightly crash happen in the game. The graphics are nice, the game runs smoothly, and the music doesnt jitter like a lot of games do on the new iPad Pro. Overall, with the exception of what Im about to talk about, we think they did a good job. The biggest issue for us is, not shockingly, the controls. We have the large iPad, so holding it like a controller can be unwieldy. To solve this problem with this and other games we bought an actual controller – the steelseries specifically. It works great with the game….except for crafting. The controller is amazing and very responsive, but the second we try to craft at any table/fire/thing it has a 90% chance of crashing. If somehow we do get the crafting screen to open, theres a 100% chance it will crash when we switch tabs or a 100% chance to crash when we go to craft. This forces us to use the controller for everything then use finger controls to craft. Its playable, but Ive forgotten every so often and we lose our days work when we use the controller to craft. If they could fix it so our controller always worked, we would be so happy and up the rating. Its just slowing our gameplay by switching back and forth. Im using an iPad pro(3rd Gen) 12.9 with iOS 12.3.1 and with a steel series nimbus controller. Besides the constant crashing when using the controller. We havent seen any other bugs.

We just got this. Ive been trying to play with a controller. When we try to cook or make recipes it keeps crashing on us.

So the cutscene with snake where we were supposed to be introduced to gunther did not work. So if we continue this game we cannot play the game with zombies in the game. Idk if this is intentional but we have this on pc and we grinded it out wondering why we still dont have access to gunther but it is very dissapointing especially since we spend hours grinding to grt to this point.

Three times the game has crashed and sent us back to the beginning, because even if we save the game by going to sleep, at random times every few days the game will crash and delete days and days of progress. We really, really enjoy the game when we play it but how can we keep playing if it makes us start over before Im even two weeks into the game? We troubleshooted and restarted our ipad and updated it and deleted and reinstalled the app a few times, and we cant even find it listed in our settings to clear the cache, its really weird.

This is a fun game, with a lot of activities, and a play when you want sort of dynamic, which we find useful. You dont need to be logging in every day if you dont want to do so, which can work better if your schedule is full. Two items knock the rating of this title down. First, if you dont find graverobbing, cannibalism, witch burning, and similar topics humorous on some level, you will not enjoy it. In many cases, these are not presented as moral choices with viable alternatives, but required activities. If something hits one of your buttons, theres not really a great way to get around it. Second, the Cultist perk does not work on mobile devices, from everything we can find online. Later in the game, this breaks the core activity of graveyard keeping to the point its not worth pursuing any further, unless you want to do constant save scumming. Instead, one is driven to finish the main story out of sheer boredom.
