Community Insight:
Works just like the classic board game but with an AI opponent. That plus a few new features like settings for the number of pegs and whether or not repeats or blanks are allowed make this a perfect adaptation. We use it to teach logical reasoning.
We'd like it to rotate. It's vertically fixed and that's annoying. Also, traditionally, the old mastermind/guess the color games allowed multiple pegs of one color. It was more challenging that way. Still, pretty fun and we like being able to leave blanks. Nice.
But better. Options to add letters to colors, choose blanks or not, repeats or not, and 3 levels of play. And you don't have to worry about "partner" scoring incorrectly!!! A big bonus imho. Plus it's free! If you like mastermind you should REALLY like this game. No time constraints, don't have to rush. Take all the time you want to solve in the fewest moves possible (besides blind luck). Ok, so you can't do the dishes while you wait for the other person to take their turn. And share conversation. But Great for impatient players like us.
We love puzzles, and this one really tests your logical thinking and deduction skills. We also find the different difficulty levels makes it perfect for us as well as for introducing children to logic in a fun way.
We stumbled across this game and didn't really know what it was when we downloaded it. Then we realized it was just like the old game of Mastermind we played when we were younger, but with more options to customize for skill level. We play it all the time now. Great way to exercise the brain and increase the difficulty level as our skill improves.
Kind of wish it had more options but the game works well and is fun to play.
It would be nice to be able to select which ball to chose the color instead of being forced to work from left to right.
But when we play it, the "hints" are all wrong. It'd say we have a color in the right place but when we put in that same place, the hint says it's wrong.
Simple relaxing game. We have enjoyed it for years. Some strategy and easy thinking.

It is like the game Mastermind which we used to play back in the late 70's. Very good logic game.
A good rendition of the old Mastermind game. Tried a few out here, but this is the most intuitively playable.
The "medium" level on this app is the closest thing to the original Mastermind game that we could find online. We had taught the game to our grandchildren as a way to promote their critical thinking skills, and this app allows them to play without us when we're unavailable. The ads aren't overly bothersome, but we do plan to upgrade just because we want to support the developers who provided this great game for us.
We love this game. We can see ourselves wasting even more of our life on it. One thing that would make it better is if it kept track of our awesomeness and told us what our average was.
We enjoy this game, but the recent update now shows a white "blank" icon for the app. We hope this will be addressed shortly.
Inconsistent clues provide surprises and frustration. We can state the issues but the feedback text area is limited. This ap works like the others. Seems like they must have copied the programming from each other. The only thing different here or there is appearance and minor features.

This is as close to the real board game as you can get without getting frustrated waiting for your partner to move.
We used to play this game against our sister all the she was better than us maybe with this practice we can get her now.

This is the Mastermind game we played as a kid. We like to play it when we have a little time to kill. It exercises the brain and only takes a minute or two to complete each challenge.
Does what it should; a little frustrating at times, but a good brain teaser. We like to use it with the letters, even though we're not colorblind, because we find it easier.

A childhood favorite! Challenging and entertaining. Games are quick, and having 3 difficulty levels allows for developing and practicing strategies for solving the codes. A favorite way to spend 10 minutes for the whole family.
