Community Insight:
We started using this app years ago and purchased every medium, hard, expert and insane level. After a replacement phone we tapped Restore and nothing happens at all. Not one puzzle was restored. That said, its still the best sudoku app available and we do like the UI improvements (larger boxes!).
Since a recent update, the game is working perfectly.
We start our day doing at least 3 sometimes we can't stop. No more paper. Very cool. It is addictive.
Love making our mind work hard. Thank you.
The highlights are nothing but a major distraction. Please give an an option to disable them. Will likely go to a different app if the highlights remain.
We almost made this a three star review. Im still putting 5 stars because we love this game. The UI is better than many other sudoku apps Ive tried, but we dont understand why they changed the look of it. It used to be so much classier. The new highlighting looks terrible-its too opaque and its too hard to see our notes through it. We can understand changing the font if its an accessibility issue for people who cant see well, but the highlighting makes it harder to see, so we dont get why its there. We would love for them to give us a button in the options screen to turn these new features off if we want to. As it is, we dont know if we want to keep using the app.
Excellent game! We liked more the former version of game, the illumination of rows and columns is not good when playing.
New update is lovely. Cleaner, easier to mark potentials, and just more pleasing to the eye. Nice work.

Not happy with the update. We would like to go back to the previous version.
Loved the app until the yellow target lines became so bright we lose track of what square we are in- tone it dow.n the old one was fine.
We agree with another review that the updated yellow overlay is too strong. We preferred the old version much more.

We really like this app – 5 star until the recent change of graphics. We need the previous contrast – this new lite style the apps are going with, are frustrating. If you give an option for previous graphics – we would change this to a 5 star. The program is great.
Was fun- updated – now can see numbers as well, smaller and indicators make them hazy.
The ads are killing us. We paid extra to remove them a while back but it didn't transfer to our new phone. We would definitely pay to have the ads removed but can't find an option for that.
Good game, Im just sick of the way the ads are becoming more and more obtrusive.

This game was perfect and we are so disappointed in the update. We would love to have the old version back.
We love this game and have been playing it for years, but the new grid layout is a step backward, IMHO. The selected cell overlay significantly obscures the possible values selected such that they are now harder to read. Same for the x and y cross bars and the grid in general. Please consider addressing this in an update.
The new color scheme is much harder to see, as the darker highlighting of rows matches the color especially of smaller numbers.
New version is worse than previous version. Pale colors are much harder to see.
The app used to be fantastic. But the updates took the game a step backwards. The cross hard that highlight a box now make it much too difficult to see the notes in the box. And trying to highlight the boxes at times just doesnt work.
Now with ads, we think Ill delete the app.
We will not be playing this any more. Too many adds and to many useless options. Lets just play the game and sharpen our minds.
If you start a puzzle, the timer starts. If you abandon the puzzle, or start over, the timer doesnt reset. Ever, if you move to another puzzle, the timer doesnt restart for the previous puzzle – it bothers to remember that for every single puzzle. The only way to reset. The timer is to complete the puzzle so if you share this app with your kid, and they take 45 minutes before they abandon the puzzle when you try the puzzle completely reset the timer starts at 45 minutes. Its not like were competing for prizes or medals. We also hate the new format, the new fonts, the new everything. Its objectively uglier than it was before. And now, when we finish a puzzle, it doesnt acknowledge the puzzle is finished. It just asks us if we want to resume the game.
Its totally different now. Its hard to follow with the highlighted lines.
We do not like the newest version. The numbers are not easy to read. The colors have changed, and it makes for difficult reading the size of the boxes at the bottom has changed and again, the colors of the whole screen makes it difficult to read. We will be looking for a new sudoku game.
Its a very nice game. Its a bit challenging, but it really makes you use your brain.
We love this game! We have to say that this version is by far the best version we have found in the app selections. From beginner to advanced, you cant go wrong.

This game of Sudoku is really the most fun of them all!! They have levels to challenge your potential & the new pack of 100 games that you choose to buy are extremely price effective. That is what keeps us coming back to this particular game. We love this game! Thank you.
After downloading one level of 100 puzzles, no internet connection needed. Play anywhere.
Dont bother trying to get credits. Even if you do everything you will not get them.
Worked on 14.4.2, does not work on 14.6 … Needs to be updated by developer! Meanwhile … The wife and we love this version of the game. Weve purchased many of the extra levels, and are constantly trying to beat each others scores. The colors are good for late night wind-down, too.
No way to put the timer on hold to keep minutes from ticking away like on other sudoku games. Maybe you should consider putting one in? Other than that sudoku game is great. Thanx! -Ella.
The game is time consuming and is very fun we love it but there are always a ton of adds.
We do wish they would light up all the same numbers like they used to.
Ive enjoyed this app for years. We would have rated it a 5. However since we recently upgraded our smartphone the app now runs add banners during the games and full-screen adds between games. This was never the case before.
This would be a great app and it is better than the others but it needs a design overhaul. Since it's fairly monochrome, it's often difficult to see what square is selected and that causes mistakes which blows your score to pieces. Also due to the size you tap on something and either it doesn't chose the square you want and you have to hit it again if you notice or you end up getting a fault. The number pad is small too so unless you have tiny fingers you often to hit the wrong numbers and are faulted. Our recommendation to make it a 5 star game would be to make the square selector a very dark and different colour and make key numbers larger. Otherwise it's a good game but needs to be more user friendly and great.

Especially when we paid for the game. We would give no stars because of the obnoxious ads except this a really good challenging Sudoku, like Smart Notes as an option. Just get rid of the ads.
