Find out what gamers are saying about Gun Rounds:

Gun Rounds is great. The game is easy to play and feels well designed for mobile. It also has a variety weapons and fun enemies to discover. The blocking can be a bit finicky at times, but theres a real sense of improvement as you master it. Hope to see more added to the game some day!

Change the hard mode description to we gave bees satan attacks and made everything do double damage, we swear its fair 10/10 would play again.

Little mobile games like this give us hope that theres a market of folks out there happy to exchange a few bucks to have a some fun with a neat, novel experience. Thanks for making this game, scratches that roguelike itch real well and fills the free minutes during the day perfectly. Though a good run did make us late out the door this morning.

We love this game! We just wish there could be added weapons or enemies or worlds in future, for players whove been playing a while. A great play nonetheless.

Bro you are the best dev ever because you see your fans as a friends not like any another dev that see his fans like a bag full of money thanks for you plz if you dont mind your name.

Update: It looks like the 1.0.5.1 update addressed our only concern with this title: the battery and temp on our SE. They are both much more content now, thank you!! Looking forward to the potential Tundra update! A bite size rogue-lite that scratches the itch when out and about (and has started to consume time at home) This game is a complete package for us. While there are much more robust titles on the app store we personally prefer something tailored for phones and their mobile short-bursts-of-free-time style and this game checks all the boxes on our list: – A rogue-lite, replayability – Played in portrait – Playable with one hand – Has turn-based combat… – … But also active combat! – Not too complicated, but makes you think – Consistent theme and artwork – Great sound track How this title manages to fuse turned based combat (imo almost a must for mobile and our lifestyle) with active combat is fantastic. The aiming is similar to a previous iOS Bust-a-Move game and feels very natural while the defensive reaction reminds us of Studio Pixel’s Azarashi with a twist- every enemy has different attack patterns so it keeps you on your toes but gives you the opportunity to learn. It’s great combination of different mobile friendly concepts in a fresh way and we love having time to think but also a section to then react. We don’t know if the developer ever plans to expand this game in the future or build a successor but it’s certainly one I’d keep an eye out for. Our only downside would be power consumption. On a 2020 SE it will warm up a little and take a nice bite out of the charge after 30 minutes of play time. If a "battery-saver" mode or similar were introduced I’d be ecstatic. (See above, this has been fixed as of 1.0.5.1!) If you enjoy rogue-lites and have a hankering for one on mobile this one is definitely worth trying out for the asking price. One-time purchase mobile apps are becoming more rare and this one will be happily resting next to Downwell on our home screen.

Among uninspired profit scheming ad-riddled nonsense this is a treat. Gun Rounds is quite a challenge and the main blocking system has unusual timing but very learnable. The music and aesthetic is fantastic. We honestly didn’t expect the fourth world to be so unnerving but it was a pleasant surprise. This game is clearly a work of love! There are not a massive number of weapons and items but a few dozen is enough to populate the game with some fun synergies and several unique builds. We’ve also gotten up to 45 different palette swap choices which is a really nice touch. Currently we’ve made it to the coast in hard mode with 59 total games. Definitely worth spending a little for a game like this than to suffer through ads for a meager experience. Great job :) Also the clone’s face really matches our aesthetic 11/10.

This game is very fun. We often find myself playing this game for several runs at a time. The game also has a good challenge level. Sure, normal mode can be very difficult at times, but easy mode is much more relaxed. Also recently we have come across (in our opinion) a glitch that makes the game have almost no challenge at all on any mode. We got the item emperor round and died on one run. The next run we noticed that it seemed like the effects of this item were still in effect. Then we bought the demon skull and bubble shield in the first shop. After this, the enemies started to drop very large amounts of money, usually over 150 per room/level in the coast and over 500 per room in the gehena. When the run was over we finished with over 5800 even after buying all the items in the shop.

If youre looking for a unique title with an innovative turnbased approach to shooting combat with a nostalgic game it type feel Gun Rounds is where its at. Incredibly addicting especially due to the rogue like element and the mystery box style way your acquire your arsenal. Our only tick on this is a technical one, when we’ve been mid-game we’ve received phone calls and when returning to the game the sound does not work. We hope this gets fixed because the sound is key to this game with the timing factor of attacks. Still our favorite new title on the App Store.

One of the best of the year. Extremely unique roguelite. Dont miss this one!

We were so happy with our purchase when we first downloaded this game, it was fun and easy mode was our go-to for casual play. However the devs recently released an update that turned easy mode into the old hard mode, projectiles travel faster and it seems like we take more damage and the guarding system is now less forgiving. Sure the game is still fun but its much harder and more frustrating to try and play casually when the game requires 100% concentration. Im now on the fence as to whether we should keep it on our phone.

The gameplay loop of this game is torture. You lose to a very hard end boss of enemy and have to spend way too long climbing back. The turn based nature means you cant speed up the process either. It basically feels like the first two acts are a slow waste of time. In other games you can play faster with more experience but here you have to sit through boring attack after attack only to lose to the final boss and do it again.

The whole game is very aesthetically pleasing and cute. The little evil guys are challenging but not impossible, very fun game!

Fantastic. Demands understanding of your enemies in a way that hearkens back to classic roguelikes while offering a clever spin on those mechanics with a high skill ceiling. We might want an additional weapon unlock system to lighten the monotony of color palate unlocks (in itself a clever system that favorably brings to mind Downwell and Luftrausers), but thats just pie in the sky. A heck of a game.

Bought this when it first came out last week and had fun on this awesome game but felt it was hard… But the Dev responded and did an update for more of relaxed mode which makes this game much more playable for beginner! Great job guys!!!

Absolutely amazing game. We were looking for something new, a bit in a funk, but this game is so different and reminds us of Downwell, another great game, because of the graphics.

The core of this game is incredibly funits a novel, arcade-like take on roguelite fun, combining real-time reflexes with turn-based combat. EDIT: Thanks so much for the response! Im guessing we mustve accidentally clicked easy mode, as Im not seeing a new game mode and Im certainly not that good at games generally (I hate that the App Store automatically installs updates, because we feel out of the loop). Definitely upping the score and deleting the more critical portions of the review, time to go play some proper normal mode!

Hard mode is not fun at all; its core mechanic kills the flavor of the different areas and quickly gets boring/repetitive. Good otherwise.

This game was 2.99 do we think it was Worth it no. We know this is a rather new game and that Work will be down to it. We thought the gameplay mechanics for fun but confusing at first. Fun game play a little bit frustrating at times. 6/10.

Its challenging, but thats the point of a roguelike! Play, learn a little bit, die, learn from your mistakes, get a little further in the next run with all of your newfound knowledge! Tons of fun variance and surprises with the different enemies and guns, and very rewarding when you get into the flow of the game. The only thing Id like to see added is haptic feedback for some of the enemies attack telegraphs, because we usually dont play games with sounds. Thank you for the fun!
