Community Insight:
Its a tad short but its awesome. A true Metroidvania with excellent weapons. Its a joy to fry a flock of enemies with the flamethrower and scoop up what remains to upgrade your weapons. And youre always upgrading something in a fulfilling way; not like some games where you labor forever to get a nothing upgrade. We found two weird things; an area that we couldnt cross ( possible expansion pack area?) and the complete lack of recycling stations on later areas. Despite these complaints, its a five star game for any Metroidvania fan.
This game came out of nowhere end has ended up being one of our favorites this year. We beat it on the Switch, but it still plays well on ios. Catchy music, solid gameplay mechanics, and hilarious writing make for an unforgettable ten or so hoursconsiderably more if you go after the achievements. The shooter action is fast and frenetic, but Metroidvania elements (ability gating and a leveling system) balance things out nicely. The references are also noteworthy. Blade Runner, Cave Story, Super Metroid, Terminator… Deftly handled and in some cases laugh out loud funny. We decided to download it cuz what the heck the name stood out… Ten minutes later we were also downloading it on our Switch. Would love to see more games like this.
Controls take some getting used to but this is a fun game. Sort of a Metroidvania crossed with lunar lander. But please, make the menus controlled directly by touch.
We started playing yesterday and the game is very fun. Theres this one part of a level that we cant pass. But besides that its a very fun game and it has the potential to be one of our top 3 favorite games.
This game is clearly made with love. It is fantastic, but how does this game not have controller support!? (would open up the audience for this game significantly).
Please update. The controls for menus should be touch controls, not having to move a stick up and down and a separate button to hit enter. It evens says things like Z and X so this game isnt quite ready. The joystick should be floating and bigger. The jet pack should be its own button, not part of the joystick.
Just started playing this game but we are already loving it . We usually dont write reviews but we are having a blast ! :).
