No ads or vids to watch. Reason why this is our favorite logic puzzle app is because of the very detailed hints. In other apps if you get stuck the hints provided are very vague and its hard to learn from. The hints in this app are very detailed and they teach you the thought process to solve the clues. This way you slowly learn how to solve these puzzles on your own.

Love that for some of them you have to grab a pen and paper. They’re not mindless.

Phrasing is ambiguous which adds to difficulty but this is intentional, according to developer who responded quickly (so stars for that!).

At first its pretty good and fun. But we have found at least 3 puzzles that are 100% correct, where it says there are errors! We have done each one at least 5 times. We have double checked every move numerous times. There are NO errors, but the app says there are, and we cant finish the puzzle! Very frustrating!

The matrices dont get any larger that 4×5 but they still have an interesting level of challenge to them. The last few puzzles storylines get unnecessarily complex. And just read confusing. Re: we’ve actually played and finished the entire sister app and the additional puzzles that you can purchase on the app. Our issue is not with complexity, its with the unnecessarily convoluted wording that doesnt add anything to the actual puzzle.

We were significantly happier with this app, at first. It all changed when we started adding puzzles to our account for the additional extreme level puzzles and realized they are just the same challenging puzzles from their other logic puzzle apps. Those of us that play on these levels know these puzzles by heart. Weve solved them countless times in the past. Please source NEWLY written puzzles and stop recycling from your other apps under different difficulties.

That last extreme: there were too many factors in the clues to find the answer. Multiple ways could have worked.

Many of the puzzles have issues with the clues not matching the grid. Like the categories are completely different. Someone doesnt proofread these. Dont spend money of this since you cant even complete many of them!

We love the game, the hints and ability to check your progress but why are there only a few free games. Is there no way to get more games free?

We really enjoy logic puzzles but this one is frustrating rather than fun. The clues are written very poorly and if you dare to use a hint all it tells you is which square to mark true or false, it doesnt tell you why or which clue it is helping to you solve, and so doesnt help you understand the clues or rationing behind it. The clues are written in a very confusing way and each one is long so you end up reading it a few times making the puzzle slow rather than fun.

The creators here have done a superb jobs. We have played so many related puzzles, none could compare with this one. You just have to experience it yourself to know how much more fun this one is.

Love the challenge. Id like to have an option to lock in the tru values so when you do get in situation where you want to fix the mistake(s)the locked mode on true values would help. Otherwise.

Interesting scenarios and clever clues.

We love this style of logic puzzle and this is a really good implementation. We find the interface easy to use, and when we get stumped on some of the tougher puzzles we like that we can take a look at the solution notes to get a strategy hint (just like we used to be able to do by looking in the back of the puzzle magazine, when we used to buy puzzle magazines). We don’t always agree with the difficulty ratings, sometimes we blow through some of the "extreme" puzzles and get stuck for a long time on some of the "casual" puzzles! But that’s not really a complaint. Our only actual complaint is that we’ve gone through all the puzzle packs already! But we’re going to clear out a bunch of the puzzles we’ve already done, so we can do them again. Update a year later: Since we wrote our original review, more puzzle packs have been released and we’ve purchased and played those too. We see a few reviews that say the puzzles arent logical or arent solvable. That isnt truesome of them are fiendishly difficult but they can all be solved. (Some of those really hard puzzles are in the casual category; as we said in our original review, we dont always agree with the difficulty ratings.) In the whole time we’ve been playing, we’ve only found three or four puzzles with errors, and in each case we emailed the developer and they fixed it. Well, except for the latest one, but thats because we just emailed it to them a day or two ago and they havent had time yet! We really appreciate that theyre so responsive.

Wide variety of degrees of challenge. Additional levels are reasonably priced, and a great value. Fun brain teasers.

We use this app almost every day. The puzzles are fun to do and keep our brain sharp. The app clearly presents each puzzle, and the interface and graphics are really well done. Of the myriad apps we have, this one consistently gives us the most pleasure.

This app is excellent and keeps a old man like us very busy All the puzzles are fairly difficult It keeps your brain sharp and mind refreshed Keep up the good work Khan.

We believe Show Dogs is written poorly. We tried it several days in a row, to see if it was just our lack of concentration. We’ve done over 70 puzzles of various difficulty and finished all of them within 24 hours. This one never made complete sense. Please have an editor look it over again.

We have played a lot of different logic puzzles before, none of which have used semicolons in their hints. Are the statements before and after this punctuation related? As an example: 2. Terrence brought the root beer; the one who chose Friday the 13th didn’t bring the cheese- flavored popcorn.

Being able to mark a square with a question mark would be very welcome. Otherwise, frustrating, challenging, mind-bending, and quite satisfying.

Puzzles progress quickly from moderate to extremely difficult. We cant figure out how they arrived at some of the hints. Wish the clue(s) would highlight so we could understand where the hint comes from. That might improve our strategy.

The puzzles are fun, but its hard to select the right box, it automatically puts an x, so you have to be careful that you have the right space and hopefully check it twice if you want to mark it correct. Easy on an iPad but the spaces are so small that on the phone you almost always hit the wrong space and have to back track to fix. It would be much better if you selected a space then chose the action.

The expert puzzles are lacking clues to be able to solve them.

The squares on the phone are way too tiny to tap. Youre very likely to miss, or tap like 3 times in order to clear the rows and columns. Obviously they dont use the app. They just want you to keep paying. It must be better on the iPad (with the pencil of course). It was something we wanted to try but obviously Im going to avoid.

We love logic puzzles, but many of these in this set are not worded very well. It can be confusing what a description is actually referring to. We had to use hints way to much because we were understanding less than other puzzle apps.

We do a lot of these of logic problems, but we usually do them on printed books, not apps. We do them to help calm down and to help improve focus. This is the second app we’ve used for these puzzles. The wording of the clues and the categories is very confusing. For example: on the puzzle titled Cat Nap, the categories are years (so 1 year, 2 years, etc.) and years old (1 year old, 2 years olds, etc). This makes it very hard for us to follow and we often have to read and reread the clues over and over. Also, we’ve confused the categories on the grid and marked the wrong things. On the aforementioned puzzle, one clue reads, The cat who was sleeping on the widowsill, who isnt four years old, isnt the feline who has been with Mr. Langersham for only one year (who isnt Dover). Too many uses of isnt and who. Try some different synonyms or other prepositional phrase. Its too many similar words. Our brain just mushes it all together. We feel that the puzzle, hints, and logic are good, but the text itself is confusing and poorly written. It just needs more editing before publishing. It seems like these were written by someone who writes puzzles well but not someone who writes text, prose, or stories well. Really good user interface. Easy to follow controls. Edit to say: we should have read the reviews before buying this app. There are other reviews that comment on how poorly written this app is. If writing style is important to you or if you need easily discernible phrases, this app is not for you.

Great change to the clues for typical logic puzzles, but the hints dont provide any reasoning which isnt helpful at all. If Im stuck, we learn from the hints, therefore when we ask for a suggestion and it says mark the highlighted cell as true/false, but doesnt say why like with other apps, it doesnt help us learn new strategies.

We would expect the free puzzles to be limited, except we would expect weekly or even monthly free puzzles in different categories. You dont get that here. Deleting.

These puzzles are not well written. Look elsewhere. The writing is clumsy and can seem unclear More importantly, there is a lot of incorrect or broken information in the clues and hints. Every puzzle we’ve worked in Vol 1 so far will get down to a couple of options which would both fit the available spaces left, and all of the clues given. Three times now, we’ve tried using a hint in this situation, and had the same experience: a vague statement that the green cells indicate the highlighted cell should be marked false, with no observable logical relationship for that assertion and no further explanation provided. We go with what it says anyway and proceed to finish the puzzle, and it gives the message about being finished, but there are still some mistakes. We use the hint that removes mistakes, and all the final moves – INCLUDING the one directly stated in the previous hint – are cleared.

The narratives are incredibly long and wordy, the clues often contain wildly irrelevant information and in addition inaccurate or just incorrect information. Example – referring to a names in the puzzle incorrectly (Harvey but the clues say Harmon) Example – puzzle with wordy clues describing the # of city blocks people are away from each other when the actual puzzle doesnt contain any requirements for figuring out distance. We just completed every puzzle on another app from this same company, including the extreme ones, yet couldnt even get through one on this app without banging our head in frustration at the lack of attention to detail.

One puzzle kept leaving a false error. Ringing themes by Anne Marie Brethauer. Makes us wonder if theyre all flawed.

Please dont lock the puzzle out before we have a chance to completely fill out the grid. Im new to logic puzzles and this would be incredibly helpful.

Thank you for delivering such a clean, un-busy, un-buggy app. We usually use it on our iPad, nice to have a desktop option too. We like being able to highlight areas of the grid, being able to mark clues as used, and being able to mark those we’ve started but am still working. Easy undo, hints, etc. We also like the option to add more puzzles by bulk or the subscription model (which we used a month we knew I’d have more time) AND the app remembers which ones we’ve solved. Stellar job! Would give this a 10 if we could.

Love logic problems, but the magazines have gotten so hard to find. We were excited to find this app, and we love it. We will sometimes play for hours. And we love that the game packs are not expensive. Thank you so much for this.

Got through first easy challenge without any hints. Never got through any more without hints. We’ve never played this type of logic problem presentation, and there are tips and strategies we must learn by trial and error. We recommend this as a definite addition to, if not replacement for, solitaire.

Love this… Nice and clean and makes you think. The one thing that we don’t like about the version on the Mac though is if you ask for a suggested move, it won’t explain the why like the one for the iPhone does. We think this is a major fault of the mac version as it should show you why it thinks this is a correct move.

Love these puzzles, but there seems to be a bug in the Summary function. Have to get 2 correct rows for the grid to populate – seems like it’s one answer behind. Would also like to see more puzzles that don’t require things in order.

The puzzles are all the same type, theres no mixture of puzzles. They tend to get boring and if you dont know how to do them, they take a while to learn.

We didnt realize there was a paywall after 10 puzzles. If you are only giving out 10 for free might as well make it clear. Its not worth the download unless you like paying money every 10 puzzles. This seroiusly pisses us off.

We got the first puzzle correct by guessing based on common sense only. We only see 5 clues on each board. If there should be more, that would be awesome. Five clues is not enough to deduce the answer to any game board. There are too many factors unanswered. We had no idea others can scroll down to see more clues! How can we see them too? We would like to keep this. We would rather do something like this, than the stupid games that are out today.

We LOVE this game. We play it all the time. Our only suggestion is that we would love a notepad in the corner by the puzzle so its easier to keep track of clues. Thanks for making this!

We like the no ad model and hope more games do it. We are so happy we dont have to earn xp or coins, etc. We love this game! The only critique we have of this game is that the hints do not seem to be based on how we’ve completed the puzzle and there is no explanation for the hints. They are partial answers rather than hints that help you solve on your own.

If you like a challenge, this app is for you. The puzzles will give you a run for your money but they can, in fact, be solved. Just in case you get stuck, there is a hint system available.

Challenging app! Would love for you to create an app for fill-in puzzles.

We wish more puzzles were available for purchase. We’ve done all these already.

Super fun! Different levels of difficulty and so many different stories. We’ve been playing this off and on for about a year and unfortunately we just ran out of puzzles :(((( theres 640 so it occupied you for a while. Idk what im gonna do now lol 10/10 recommend though.

Overall we liked this app. The puzzles are just challenging enough to hold our interest and not need hints. The 2 times we did need a hint, we found them very frustrating. Theyd just show you a box to mark false but not tell you why it was false. We like hints that explain the logic of how they got there so we can improve our reasoning for future puzzles.

These problems are certainly challenging, however the opportunity to learn and improve logical reasoning skills is limited. Unlike in the logic puzzles app by the same developer, this one does not provide guidance with the hints; the hints just tell you what to do in a cell without a rationale that you can learn strategy from. At some point, most people will hit a wall no matter how much they try to figure out why a move is warranted beyond the ones they reason through on their own. In our case, we felt helpless and abandoned the puzzle and, eventually, the app as a whole, because we had hit a point of diminishing returns which is a shame because we were reallyyyy enjoying the greater challenge these puzzles pose over the logic puzzles app. This one also offers fewer puzzles in the free starter pack. Would love to see some updates!

Couldnt bear to look at this more than thirty seconds.

It would be helpful to have an explanation as to why you should mark something as true or false when you use a hint/suggest a move. Sometimes we need a hint because we really have no idea and its still not clear why something is true or false after the hint. Also more puzzles would be good. We downloaded this 3 days ago and am already done with all the puzzles.
