Community Insight:
[TL;DR = 100% WORTH > $1. GET IT.] Original Fallout-style battle and trading mechanisms with VATS-like targeting (headshots lower % hit but higher damage, arms disarm, legs slow, etc). Although the game is short (you can beat it in 3 hours on normal mode), theres good replay value by playing through again as a hero or villain (+/- rep). Our one desired change is the ability to save the game. Especially wish that would have been possible just before the ending… Those that know, know what Im saying. Also, let us look on bodies / boxes while in combat (running out of ammo or meds mid-combat means we gotta just give up and die at present). We would absolutely pay $5-10 for a larger version of this game. Maybe add perks and some dialogue with NPCs. Great job, developers.
Great Game! But too short and even on hardest difficulty too easy, just kill everything and you have unlimited loot to trade with. We would like to have a second part with more features :).
This game wants to be Fallout. So badly. But it completely lacks any sort of character depth, humor, or mechanics. Trading seems to be based on a hidden arbitrary value of some sort, the equipment is unimaginative, combat ranges between laughably east and hellacious frustrating, quests are vague and boring. This unpolished game also reuses the same tired dialog as their other games, has atrocious navigation (the map is very close to useless unless you memorized the locations of people you want to talk to). The only thing it has going for it is no ads/in app purchases, but even that isnt enough to save this clunker. There are a multitude of 1$ games on the App Store; we recommend you skip this one.
This game could have potential but its just sad, Im gonna beat ourselves up for a week after wasting $2 on this game.
Its not about the graphics. The theme apocalyptic is always fun. Searching for loot, trading and the turn base fighting style is perfect. Within the near future hopefully the developers would boot a part 2. With more loot and maybe a more in depth character customization. With different issues on different maps to progress. Zero freakin ads without even a shop to spend real cash? Obviously this game isnt a money grabber. With that alone we deeply appreciate. If there was ever a part 2 to this Id happily pay up to 5.99 or something along those lines for the game. If it were to turn out to be an online thing Id probably pay for items as well. Thumbs up and hope our 5 star counts.
Like the title says please keep this game going and expand.
If you like a tactics game without having to rely on fast finger / reaction time you should check this one out. It has a bit of a steep learning curve, but enjoyable if persistent and not easily frustrated. It is turn based with action points. It has good graphics, sound and music. Would like more like this or an expansion.
This is one of the best games that we've ever played on iOS Well optimized and with perfect touch controls The battle system is great Great graphics Great atmosphere Sometimes it gets really hard Highly recommend for anyone who loves challenging games Would love to see a sequel or a game that have the same mechanics.
This is a fun game to play, need more maps or chapters.
Simple and fun, if you are missing some old school RPG in the image of the original Fallouts, look no further.
The interface is fun and super easy, similar to the old school fallouts. For 0.99, its fun for a couple play throughs. The final fight is somewhat anticlimactic as it appears the ending is the same regardless. Very little replay value because while part locations may change, the process is pretty much the same. We would love to see this format but a more expansive world. 5 stars for dollar though.
We cant believe that we got that gaming experience for a buck!!! Completely awesome game!! You should make a new upgraded version of this game we would for sure pay for it! Rock on.
The interface and graphics are really good. Easy to pick up, good backstory. In game theres very little to do other than walk around and look for boxes and fight bandits. Often there are too many bandits or theyre too strong and you use up your ammo and armor in one fight. Traders demand a lot for items and leveling up is slow. With some leveling of the combat strengths and some side quests this has the potential to be a lot of fun.
Am we too ugly?!? We think it is a password collecting app. But for what reason.
Dont believe any of the reviews for this game. Its a terrible game and to compare it to the old fallouts is just outrageous. The graphics are horrible gameplay even worse. This game is a ripoff dont buy it. We made that mistake and if we could Id ask for our money back. Quit making crap games then selling them for 3 bucks this crap Shoulda been free. DONT BUY THIS GAME.
We have played through this game several times and have really enjoyed it. Has a great borderlands / hunters / mad max feel to it. The game is not easy and if you don't plan ahead it will be tough, which makes it a great game. Please make more games like this or additional content.
A bit short but had fun for the weekend.
If you like fallout and such, then you will be happy with this, except the fact that it's maybe 10times shorter and you can beat the game in about 2.5-4h with ease.
It took us some time to get how the game works. We were frustrated at first, and we set the game aside with thoughts of deleting it. We're glad we gave it a couple more tries to understand how it plays. It's actually fun, and challenging. That's something that we can appreciate. We would appreciate it more with more content added, or perhaps a longer game based on the way this one works.
This game is great in many ways. We love the turn based combat and that it gives you the choice to do things good or bad. This is the closes we can get to playing Fallout on mobile( not counting FS). This also reminds be of Fallout 3 Van Buren and we think that that's what the developers were going for. The only thing that bugs us is that the town is the only place you can go to and no where else. Maybe in a sequel they'll make it open world in the style of the Fallout classics though there is a change that there will be some 20th anniversary of Fallout 1 on iOS next year. This game is pretty challenging so think about what difficulty you'll pick.
All we could ask for is player customization and side quests otherwise fun.
This game is a Fallout 1 inspired, turn-based combat rpg. It has a basic leveling system where you can upgrade your strength, agility, and other stats. The premise of the game is that you are in a town and need to gather a certain number of parts for your car to escape. The combat is fun, but very hard. It took us a. Few days of an hour here and an hour there to beat the level. If the developer added more levels it would be more fun. Also, if you get all of the parts for the car be a ready for a fight before you head back to your car. We were injured from gathering the last part and low on ammo and lost the fight for the car. The game ended without giving us a second chance or allowing us to load to a point before the end fight. We had to start over to try again. We wish the dev would add a save/load feature and more levels. The game also needs more quests and storyline. We would give it 3.5/5 stars and change that to a 5/5 if the game had more levels and story development. Thanks for a fun game. Week worth the $0.99. Please continue to build on this game and give us the fallout inspired iPad game we all want.
This is the closest thing to Fallout we've found for iOS. Look forward to more from this developer. Would love some expanded roleplay and skills options to go with smooth, tactical combat.
The raiders and the guardians do not fight with each other, one time we were attached by a murderer and we walked up to a Guardian and the guardian did nothing.
Well it was fun at start but after like 2 hours it finished and it's really disappointing. Graphics are ok AI is cool combat is ok but game needs an improvement. More quest, longer gameplay etc.
Fun game, mechanics are good, trading and customizing are decent. Reminiscent of Fallout, for sure. However, the game is fairly short, not very replayable, has no real storyline, and is constricted to a single town. If the game were any longer, however, it would have gotten boring. Needs quests and storylines and much deeper customization to be a fantastic game. But, for $0.99, it got our tactical rpg fix in for a couple days.
There is little to no story; most if not all characters are only there to fight or trade with, none show anything that is interesting about them. If you like fallouts combat, leveling, and bartering, then this game might be for you, however don't expect to invest any interest about the place or characters around you.
There really isn't enough here to call it a game. Boring story and gameplay with a mediocre interface. Don't waste your time or money.
Game is fantastic we like the trading system and combat is easy but tapping to move is a little anoying other than that its good.
We enjoyed the game overall and feel there is real potential. The reputation system needs more ways to increase the stats and it would be cool to have allies to work with.
Already very fun, but the Devs could take it to a whole other level by adding a few things. A way to run away from a fight would be great. Also just add more quests, NPCs, perks, and items and this game could be amazing.
Played for about two hours. Very entertained. We like how each of the abilities you must decide to upgrade seem so vital. Some of other reviews have said the game is not that deep, but with respect to balance and leveling we think this game is better than baldur's gate and parallels demons souls. We hope they make a lot of money and expand on the story like an actual fallout 2, baldur's gate 2, or fallout vegas, and have a larger world. We also think the trading system superior to fallout and makes the trading more fun than what happens in fallout where you use bottle caps as currency. Suspension of disbelief is much better as when you meet anyone that is not hostile, not necessarily even a trader you can trade with them; you propose whatever you want to trade and ask what you want in return. If its not good enough, then no deal. Very simple and what you would expect in a world where civilization has been decimated. The combat is really good and holds our attention, add a well told story and this game would be perfect, and be better than Fallout.
This is a fallout 1/2 game basically. It's not deep, but it is fun and challenging and for $2, it's more than worth it. Just needs gamecenter and some passive skills and unique gear. Great work though.
Please continue to add content…. Skills ….perks…vaults….weapons….armor…drones.
Great game that is worth the two dollars. No crap ads or other gimmicks. Just straight fun.
This game is an amazing framework for a true Fallout experience on iOS. We need villages, quests, more items, factions and some more RPG elements (crafting and or the like). And it'll be epic. As is it is satisfying combat wise. Needs just more of what it is. Fleshed out this game is a permanent staple in our game rotation,.
A fairly straightforward post-apocalyptic adventure, but entertaining, and engaging enough we hope they release more scenarios, or play with the character archetypes. (Stealth, cover shooter, for example).
The game features turn based combat, exploration, scavenging, moral choices and rpg elements of leveling up. It is set in a post apocalyptic city and you are trying to get the parts for your car. This leads you to meet the many factions within the game. Difficult at first, but it becomes easier once you level up Max (your character). If looking for Fallout-esque game for iPhone, then this game scratches that itch.
We will admit we have only manage to give this game about a half hour of play. From what we have played , game feels stale. We see the fallout inspired theme , and ability to shoot body,leg/head etc… Lack of waypoint of objectives, poor dialogue/npc interaction… A underwhelming game.
